Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.

Maybe, but I’m not convinced of that. Russia has enormous military and destructive capabilities, if it chose to use them. They’ve already shown they are more than capable of sustaining themselves, both militarily and economically. They have very strong ties to other very strong nations, and have building a cooperative with others to help them secure themselves around the world for a long time.
Russia certainly has proven it doesn’t need the U.S. or PDJT. Although I believe they would like, and it would be beneficial to us, to extend diplomacy and secure stronger ties. Seems like a win-win.
Take a stroll down History Lane and you’ll find Russia needed the U.S. more than the U.S. needed Russia.
Yes. The Russians will secure the four regions plus whatever buffer zone they feel they need. If the U.S. will not address the issues of guaranteed no NATO membership and demilitarization of Ukraine then that buffer zone gets larger. The stupid statements from General Kellogg and other administration officials have not helped that situation.
The Russians don’t trust the Trump administration anymore than any other U.S. administration. That is to say they don’t trust them at all. In Putin’s words: “They are agreement incapable.” After all in his first term Trump oversaw the military buildup for Ukraine. He also did nothing to get the Minsk agreements enforced and stop the killing in the Donbass of civilians by the AFU.
The neocons have seen to it that there will be no trust from the Russian side for a long time. Instead of gloating over their anticipated dismembering and subjugation of Russia, the Russians are far more likely to watch the destruction of the U.S. and the rest of the West. Had we not allowed war mongering neocons controlled by evil elites to run our system we might have had a great ally to help us though what is coming.

I was born, raised and live in the heart of Central California. It is about as MAGA as it can get. Los Angeles and San Francisco control the Politics of California and have made California a hell-hole.
I don’t think there is any use to try and “save” California. I think the best option is to make California two States divided east and west by the coastal range.
Understood. I know there is a very distinct difference in the areas you’re referring to. As you said, the blue parts have destroyed the rest and made it unprofitable and unbeautiful. I feel for you. Central and NorCal people have a lot of grit. And the land is breathtaking.
Theirs is a couple of ways to turn California around. The recent fires has created an opportunity for the Republicans to have a very good chance to win governorship and local elections. Candidates have to be very Trumpish when campaigning. Another way is to clean voter rolls. Their elections are not valid. Another way which is extreme is to declare a national emergency and remove all of the state executives and legislators because it is a foreign country inside our borders. My family lived in California for a hundred years but left because of it’s massive illegal invasion/immigration.
Cleaning the voter rolls and simplifying (i.e. making sure those who are eligible to legally and constitutionally vote are the only votes counted) elections would be a great start. It’s well-known that’s a perfect path to determine the desired outcome. California is a red-state. Its all been rigged for a long time. Decent Californians have been hung-out to dry and forced to pay all the bills. Totally wrong.

Cali is like a lot of states right now. Secession is needed, and I’m sure desired. If we can divorce spouses legally, why can’t we divorce communities or counties or states? It’s always easy to spot. The argument about tariffs is a false argument. The market is being driven by what Sundance posted about earlier. The bets on the bets for which way the stock will perform is what is driving the market. It has nothing to do with the actual stock.
The market is computer driven. When the computer detects some magic word in a press statement then it buys or sell accordingly. Then the market makes a wild swing, but nothing really changed regarding a company’s actual value. It is a big casino game.
Until the stock market comes down to the point all of these side bets are removed from the market and it starts trading on actual stock value, the market will be volatile.

I would suggest she should wait 48 hours for the facts to catch up with the story before declaring “holy shlit” unless there’s direct evidence (like names of individuals) that crimes occurred.
Too many times Elon overstated what actually occurred, like all the thousands of 150+ year old people supposedly on social security… those turned out to be due to software issues, and there was no evidence that payments to such individuals were actually made.

When I was in the process of moving this week, driving south on Hwy 17, I met 15 white busses headed north. I’m sure they had nefarious people on board probably paid and headed to DC to protest. Three of them were “holiday” buses…the rest were white and unidentified. These idiots will do anything for money.
When I finally got cable and internet back, it looked like most of them protesting in DC were old white people. Dumb as a box of rocks. SMH. I wish Soros and the NGOs would go broke.

I’ll note here that up in my neck of the woods, egg prices always rose slightly over the winter, so they’d go from less than $2 to maybe slightly above, they’d fall about right now, those were the old days it appears.
Right now eggs around here are still about $5.00 a dozen- and that is the store brand- they are lousy tasting eggs. Eggs did used to be eggs, but not anymore.. and that is another issue. The quality of the eggs has gone down noticeably.
Despite what I’ve read about the prices falling some 65% at the wholesale level., this has not translated into lower price at all around me up here. There is still a two carton limit at our grocery story, my favorite organic brands are still scarce and running very high in prices near $8.00 a dozen, when we do see them stocked.
The Biden administration forcing some 166 million layers to be killed isn’t right either.
The entire situation pisses me off.. I have teenagers that need school lunches every day and normally, I’d make them each a couple fried egg and cheese sandwiches (if I don’t have some leftovers around) because that is far healthier than the cold cuts that are who knows what mystery meats glued together with chemicals, if any meat at all is in there.
So this egg thing has really impacted us at our house !!
I’ve been happily supporting all the locals around me that choose to raise a few chickens and sell their eggs at the end of the driveways.. the small family farms, no matter how small, it’s all needed and it all adds up to a local food network. This should be encouraged.

The Department of Homeland Security has revoked the legal status of some individuals who were allowed to enter the United States using a phone application set up under the previous administration.
Some of the more than 900,000 people who were let into the country with the CBP One app have been notified that their legal status has been revoked, a move that officials said was made at the direction of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
“Formal termination notices have been issued, and affected aliens are urged to voluntarily self-deport using the CBP Home App,” the DHS spokesperson said, using the new name for the app. “Those who refuse will be found, removed, and permanently barred from reentry.”
DHS said in a post on social media platform X that those who do not remove themselves will face escalating fines.
It’s not clear exactly how many of these parolees received notices. DHS said in late 2024 that more than 936,500 people had been granted entry through CBP One. The most common nationalities of the entrants were Venezuelan, Cuban, and Mexican.
“The law states in part that the secretary of homeland security may parole applicants, or let them in with temporary legal status, “on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.”

There has never been effective oversight of the NSA’s bulk collections programs, or indeed, intelligence agencies in general. There’s been a lot of noise made about this vaunted oversight in defense of programs revealed by leaked documents, but this is nothing more than a talking point.
At The Big Picture, a clip of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) discussing how oversight actually works has been posted. It’s from an interview given in 2007, about the time the FISA Amendments Act was being put together to replace the expiring Protect America Act. The amendments act, among other things, extended the length of warrantless surveillance and gave telecoms retroactive immunity for their participation in the NSA’s bulk collections.
Here’s Sen. John D. Rockefeller explaining why, even back in 2007, intelligence agency oversight was a joke.

The New York Times reported that the bill “would largely limit district court judges to issuing narrow orders that pertain to parties involved in a specific lawsuit,” and added that the bill will “face a slim chance of becoming law,” due to obstacles in the Senate. The bill would need support from seven Democrat senators in addition to Republican senators:
“The Administration supports passage of H.R. 1526, the No Rogue Rulings Act of 2025,” the statement said. “This bill would impose important limits on nationwide injunctions, which activist Federal courts are weaponizing in an attempt to undermine President Trump’s legitimate powers under Article II of the Constitution.”
