After previously saying her number one concern about President Trump’s tariff program was Beijing dumping all their excess products into the EU at a discount, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announces she is coordinating the tariff response with China.
Apparently, the EU recognizes the ideological alignment of support from Canada just isn’t going to be enough to pressure President Trump and retain leverage into the U.S. market. This is quite a remarkable admission from von der Leyen all things considered. [STATEMENT]
President von der Leyen held today a phone call with Premier Li Qiang to discuss the state of EU-China relations, as 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The two leaders held a constructive discussion during which they took stock of bilateral and global issues.
The President underscored the vital importance of stability and predictability for the global economy. In response to the widespread disruption caused by the US tariffs, President von der Leyen stressed the responsibility of Europe and China, as two of world’s largest markets, to support a strong reformed trading system, free, fair and founded on a level playing field.
The President called for a negotiated resolution to the current situation, emphasising the need to avoid further escalation.
President von der Leyen emphasised China’s critical role in addressing possible trade diversion caused by tariffs, especially in sectors already affected by global overcapacity. The leaders discussed setting up a mechanism for tracking possible trade diversion and ensuring any developments are duly addressed. (more)
In the 2017 – 2019 version of the same dynamic, the EU was slow to realize the Trump impact to the Chinese economy would lead to less industrial purchases from Beijing. This dynamic pushed the EU toward recession. In 2025 von der Leyen is trying to proactively mitigate that outcome.
This coordination of response between Brussels and Beijing is happening simultaneous to the Chinese central bank beginning a rapid devaluation of their currency. Direct subsidies and currency manipulation are the first two approaches taken by any economy dependent on access to the U.S. market.
The difference this time is the scale of the tariffs President Trump is delivering. There’s no way to subsidize and lower currency value at a rate significant enough to mitigate a near 50% tariff impact across all sectors. China and the EU will subsidize and devalue, but they cannot repeat their prior defensive programs to this scale.
The key takeaway from this public admission by the EU President is to note how consequential the tariffs are to their parasitic endeavors.
The EU is directly working with Beijing against American interests.
Let that alignment settle in for a few moments.

Cool, so then we start trade with the countries smart enough to capitulate and then leave these to rot.
PDJT getting everyone to remove their masks. Excellent. Now the world can see. For those paying attention.
Who elected her President of anything?
Tariffs are nothing new, but both of these parties are about to be hurt far more deeply. Both of them “rely on access to American markets,” yet both have until now enjoyed that access in predatory ways. Tariffs are only the first way that the USA will now finally respond to at least sixty years of exploitation.
And yet: “This cure, though painful, is still the cure. For all of them, too.” These nations were eager to accept a crutch. But the result is that their domestic situation is not healthy nor sustainable, either. The music is stopping.
You are so right, I believe-“Tariffs are the first way that the USA will now finally respond to at least sixty years of exploitation “
That made me think of the Marshall Plan after WWII. After helping to defeat their enemies in WWI and then in WWII, the USA developed the Marshall Plan in 1948. The purpose, according to Wikipedia, was to rebuild war-torn regions of Europe, remove trade barriers, modernize industry, and improve European prosperity. We apparently spent $13.3B ($330B today’s value) getting Europe back on their feet.
Then in 1949 NATO was established to protect Europe from the Soviets. We know who has been paying the lions share in that organization to protect Europe. Of course we spent a lot more on military in that area.
So we, we not only spent our blood and treasure helping to fight Europes enemies, we helped rebuild their countries and continued to provide money and resources to keep Europe safe.
Besides helping Europe, we opened our markets to Japan and became a/the primary country in the world to buy their products.
Continuing to be a good hearted people, in 1994 we completed the NAFTA treaty with Canada and Mexico-Better known as the Giant Sucking Sound because it would begin taking manufacturing out of the USA.
If that wasn’t enough, we brought China in to the WTO IN 2001. We gave them every advantage as a developing country and they didn’t follow the WTO rules. More manufacturing left the USA because of the higher cost to manufacture here-taxes, regulations, labor.
President Trump now saying -No More! It’s time to start looking out for ourselves. All we want is not payback for all the things we have done to help the economies of others while losing manufacturing here, but fair trade. Stop preventing our products to be sold in their countries because of tariffs, currency value manipulation and restrictive regulations. OH NO they say. Trump is a horrible person. We won’t comply.
Even some of the people in our own government also say NO. Some want Congress involved in the process to make sure we don’t go too far against our allies. Many of these same people have been in government doing nothing, but talk, while we are amassing over a trillion dollars in trade deficits and watched our manufacturing go to zilch on their watch.
Anyway, wishing our President Best Of Luck and God Speed dealing with all these Jackals at home and abroad.
The next time Europe decides to blow itself up the USA must not rush in to rebuild them. Let the ruins smolder.
Europe does seem determined to blow itself up again too.
What MAGA is now pushing for is the only way out for a [Western …] world economy which had become entirely dependent on a USA “sugar daddy” spending bottomless amounts of money that it actually didn’t have.
I know what Trump is doing and I know it must be done. I want it to last so my mind naturally will want to know what the enemy is thinking and how they will strike back.
Nothing in their playbook will work. They don’t have the time, to wait him out, just as they can’t devalue enough to overcome a 50% tariff.
In poker, when its time to lay you hand on the table, face up and you got nothin, ..you got nothin.
“Nothing in their playbook will work”
The globalist cabal Faked a global pandemic and Installed a Fake President in 2020 . A New Normal World Order arose out of the chaos. It was forced upon us.
I dont underestimate the enemy because the New Normal consists of Yellow and Grey interests combining forces to eliminate MAGA. All countries have share a mutual interest in resisting Trump but only if they know MAGA is temporary. Nothing is off the table.
I repeat…..The Globalist Cabal Faked A Global Pandemic. Their success is most evident in the fact that most people on the planet are pretending not to notice.
They did that & when that failed to put PDJT in the place they designated for him, they tried to blow his head off on world-wide television.
They’ll stop at noting.
If I were the CCP I would continue to focus efforts on domestic bribery of US officials and funding the installation of crooked politicians who will ensure the only thing that can save America (the people) do not have the ability to succeed in important elections.
It doesnt look like the new FBI/DOJ has any intention of getting to the roots of the problem.
Is she the female Nosferatu? There’s a resemblance physically and in bloodsucking survival mechanisms.
Witchy Cat Woman
Seems the Z-man is back burner or off the stove.
Wonder how they feel about that pipeline just blowing up?
Hee Hee Hee.
We’ll see just how ideologically snobbish the EU continues to remain with tariffs flying at them and Zelenskyy standing with his hand held out to the EU for more cash to keep the meat grinder going and the good ole USA not waiting in the wings to bail everyone out!
Seeing the EU decided to sanction Russia, they can’t go there to sell their goods. Maybe they can open up markets in the counties that all their beloved immigrants came from.
Euro trash.
Obviously the ChiComs are enemies of the United States.
The EU, under the stupidly evil leadership of President Useless von der Commie, has aligned with our enemy.
I pray that, at a time of God’s choosing, President Trump and his administration leaders would stop all pretending, “call the baby ugly,” and openly call out Europe as enemies of the United States.
Commies of a feather, flock together.
Jinx….I owe you a coke and a smile.🖖🏻
During WWII Europe was split between Axis and Allied powers.
Now, thanks to the EU, it’s one size fits all and it doesn’t fit that well at all.
If there’s going to be another world war, the irony would be Russia and the USA allying once again to stomp out the fascists taking over the European continent.
The EU has never been anything but the old colonial family powers that have tried to rule the world for centuries. They aren’t going to change now. The EU was founded to not only compete with the USA, but to break it and put the colony back under their thumb.
The Globalist have never changed. They truly think that they are superior in every way.
From the very beginning with the first germ of a European Union. Foisted off on an unsuspecting public in every nation as a “Free Trade” entity, gradually morphing into what we see today. The first step towards the larger project….one world government.
Yes, and as they entrench they grow more and more arrogant and out of touch with the people, who notice and respond.
In all 27 EU Countries, a Nationalist/Populist alt-right political party and movement has formed and is growing.
Not funded by USAID or the like, although Elon HAS recently stepped in with $ and resources to assist them, they are true “grass roots” movements, a direct responce to the forcing of a series of unpopular policies down the throats of the masses.
The Left everywhere is dying, dutch. You can tell by how loudly they are screaming. And how fast they are attempting to obliterate the growing resistance by whatever means, up to and including assassination both here and there (Robert Fico of Slovakia).
Their grip on power which they’ve always claimed is theirs alone is getting weaker. Von der Leyen and her elitist ilk show their fear and weakness by each despotic act they take against anyone who challenges that self appointed power…and the numbers of those opposing them grow daily. Not as quickly as we would like, but they are growing.
On President Trump’s first foray into Europe in his first term, these people openly laughed and snickered at him as he was speaking. Who did this pretender think he was? A joke to them and no threat.
Well, tiimes have changed, and I doubt he has forgotten.
I don’t hear any laughter now.
I suspect long benighted and abused “ordinary” Europeans are cheering him on as we are. Our hope is their hope.
God go with him.
Frank Herbert might have been paraphrasing “The Iron Law of Oligarchies” (Robert Michels, 1911)
“Sooner or later, a small group, the cunning, power-hungry party elites, will rule. There emerges a reign of the elected over the voters. It is therefore an illusion to believe that democracy gives voters self-determination over their destinies.”
https://mises.org/online-book/global-currency-plot/15-illusion-democracy-iron-law-oligarchy
As I have pointed out several times, von der Leyen comes from a who’s who of the European gentility/bureaucratic class going back to the 17th century, a lineage which manages to include South Carolina’s aristocratic planter society and one of the largest slave-owners in American history. Her father was one of the first EU civil servants.
Additionally she lives on a horse farm, also known as a feudal estate in former times.
Factually she is an aristocrat who is also the embodiment of the movement to subvert representative governments and transform them into administrative states run by the professional managerial class, also known as the nobility in former times.
Every action she takes and every word she speaks represent an effort by the lower nobility to reassert its historical privileges.
i say, sir, you have flambéed the mistress’s saddle sitter.
bravo!😂
Bitch is about as tough as she looks.
She aint that tough I assure you. Shes is merely aristocracy.
Birds of a feather and all that…
Socialists and communists team up? Why does that not surprise me?
Which one is the commie?
Both.
Apparently, the EU recognizes the ideological alignment of support from Canada just isn’t going to be enough to pressure President Trump and retain leverage into the U.S. market.
Isn’t that precious. The EU actually thought that Canada could “pressure” the US.
It is like sending your 15 year old to fight for you and thinking that you have a huge advantage.
Canada eagerly followed the orders of the EU, for wanting so badly to be accepted by the Davos cool kids.
In 2025 von der Leyen is trying to proactively mitigate that outcome”
Funny how it doesn’t occur to them to establish free trade.
“This is quite a remarkable admission from von der Leyen all things considered. “
Admitting they could care less about prosperous trade for their citizens because the grift is easier and more lucrative to scam off of American politicians.
Germany always wanted to control the world. The USA stopped them twice. No surprise they would partner with communist China. Kind of like how the Nazis partnered with Stalin.
The Fourth Reich.
It only moved, from Berlin to Brussels.
The German Empire in bureaucratic disguise.
Sauron will never SHARE the Ring if Power, Saruman is a fool!”
Germany was manipulated into war.
New schemes by the same schemers are afoot.
Topple the Crown
Free the World
Old: Molotov–Ribbentrop pact
New: Von der Leyen-Wang Yi pact
Most of what the EU sends to our market caters to the upper class, the rich 10%: BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Range Rover, champagne, caviar, fancy cheese, salami, clothing and shoes.
Japan: Honda, Toyota, etc middle class and less buyers for their durability.
Our PDJT again is for the middle class.
Ditching EU is the best thing we can do. Parasitic institution I can only compare to the carnivore plant in the movie Little Shop of horrors. Let them align with their like minded commie-the chicom leadership. I hope the people pf China find liberty soon. The Europeans are lost imo and without God’s grace they’ll soon be the caliphate that Mohamed the Magnificent dreamed of.
Don’t forget the fancy watches.
Right. Forgot about that.
Suleiman the Magnificent not Mohamed. My error.
This meme fairly well characterizes the state of popular and media discourse about the tariffs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
China will cut a deal with Trump. The rest of the world will slowly all cut deals with Trump. The EU will maintain their victim status, because they can’t admit they’re wrong. This will lead to the collapse of the EU and due to lack of real trading partners they wont have the means to launch WW3. Then the EU will break up and the individual countries will cut deals with the Trump.
How ashamed should a country be that has relied on America to be there for them yet refuse to take on their own responsibility without demands. Not talking about small, needful nations but ones that ought to be on their own already. Shame!9
The ugly is getting bigger all right…for the EU.
“I don’t care, Margaret”. 🙂
Nice little message for Ursula….
“Frankly my dear…….”
Japan was the early bird and got the worm….apparently something got lost in translation…
Bummer

China knows who their #1 customer is and who it is not. This will not end well for the EU bureaucrats, who are also not part of BRICS. Death throws of globalism.
It is weird watching these leaders do such self-defeating moves for their countries, as if they can generate a really good narrative and all will be okay.
It makes sense when you understand that while they are doing self defeating moves for their citizens, THEY getting the best deal they can for themselves.
“…stability and predictability for the global economy.” Translation: We get to keep what we’ve stolen, and we also get to continue stealing at the same rate.
The inbreds over there just do not get it.
Like those caught up in the echo chamber over here, they consider themselves somehow superior.
Except over there when the peasants have had enough of their dung, sometimes heads roll. Literally.
Coordinating response with China. Who did not see it? F—kin’ no one.
Just like the war with Ukraine. Our allies, London and Paris, scheme to get us in a nuclear exchange with Russia. Like how France withdrew from Vietnam after we sent our peacekeeping forces there, therefore we stood alone, that is, standing in a giant pile of frog feces up to our necks. Same thing with Ukraine but in a far larger and lethal scale.
Who benefits. Let’s see…..Russia and US destroyed. London and Paris rise in power in the subsequent power vacuum with their industrial base already built out and China gets an oil rich region in Russia somewhere. Remember that they want to break up Russia into four or five little countries. Of course, China will invade and conquer one of those countries like China invaded and conquered Tibet for lithium carbonate resources, which are used everywhere, globally, in the form of batteries.
F—k ‘em all.
Trump, I need to applaud you. Not only have you forced them to drop their collective masks, you forced them to show their true alliances.
How about “45” little countries? They gave each one a name and a flag …
All the tyrannies are lining up, to try and stop the re-awakening American giant.
And the Russians and Japanese send their emissaries.
Interesting reveals for the normies.
The whole world is apparently addicted to our tax money for their leaders personal theft and their countries well being.
The only people not benefitting as they should from the our tax money is us, the patriot citizens.
Our so called leaders that put us in this position deserve no better than public trials and hangings.
Imagine what our country ad we, the deserving people would look like if our so called leaders cared about us. Hopefully President Trump is making the changes needed for our children to have what they earned.
Not only is she teaming up with Chyna against the interests of the USA but she is teaming up with Chyna as though partnering with a nation that cheats, steals, and produces junk is good for the citizens of Western Europe.
She acts as like a woman who just stole The Worst Married Man Ever from his abused wife and thinks that she hit The Man Lottery.
Looks like the jailing of Marine Le Pen and Tommy Robinson have proven to China that the EU is worthy to speak with them.
I spy two burning ships.
Is anyone surprised that the EU and China are collaborating? This provides President tTrump with even more internal support, and furthermore, the enemy is better defined.
lol.. I have an idea.. let’s get out of Europe while the gittin is really good.. nothing but trouble dealing with these socialist on the edge of another war..
Did anybody hear Rand Paul’s recent interview explaining why tariffs were bad? IMO, he talked in circles and contradicted himself.
Rand Paul seemed to be groping for an explanation. He didn’t sound like a subject matter expert. He was very pedestrian.
I’m very much a layman so I have to listen to people smarter than me.
I view Rand Paul as a dim bulb, constantly on his own personal scavenger hunt searching for a coherent thought.
Rand proved, once again, that if you do not know Constitutional Law (he criticized deporting TdA and MS13 because they have Rights) and Economics (tariffs and bad trade deals) then you just need to shut up until you are as equally learned in those topics as the people that you disparage even though you are ignorant.
Doctors are some of the worst investor / finance people ever. It’s because they already know everything.
Rand Paul proving how most doctors have absolutely no understanding of economics.
Good reason to get out of nato
NATO’s sole purpose was to prevent Western Europe from going Communist. It’s clear now, NATO didn’t work.
In fact, the more we pay to prevent Communism, the more Communism we get.
Could it be that American security subsidies are the Dane Geld that we pay to hostage-takers, and that our security is being held hostage by Europe? Are we being terrorized by vague threats so that we keep paying the ridiculous ransoms?
I ask again, why is it so hard for many Americans to understand PT just wants fair trade deals whereby Americans don’t subsidize a foreign country’s product that we end up buying?
its called a free lunch. That every American ends up paying all day, everyday for life if not for PT.
And what is worse, every Republican in Congress understands this but still wants the American worker to pay this, everyday for their life just to “help” a foreign country?
This is why EVERY ONE in the current Congress needs to be primaried.
Bogeyfree asked, “… why is it so hard for many Americans to understand PT just wants fair trade deals whereby Americans don’t subsidize a foreign country’s product that we end up buying?”
These seemingly clueless Americans just can’t stand for POTUS Trump to be right about anything, and they are willing to break everything, up to and including the Republic, to maintain that perspective.
Because their livelihood and indulgences depend on them not knowing.
Tbe same globslist bunch that want us eating bugs and living in “15 minute cities” (I ll include China because it would love to see the west crippled to such a degree) have got together to force the US to its knees and bow to its new “masters”.
China knows it can export deflation with no politcal or social consequences because Xi stays in power regardless. Von Der Leyen may have a bigger problem on her hands though. Only in the financial sector can Europe compete and thats showing cracks.
Time to exit NATO. Especially if they keep the censorship complex in place. Western Europe is not a friend or ally
Trillions at stake. The worms are starting to realize that the sun is coming out and they’re caught on the wet sidewalk.
Continuing the analogy: Japan appears closest to the moist soil. Theres a new normal, and maybe they’re most willing to adjust. Trump seems to know who wants to move forward in good faith, and who is just trying to get close enough to shiv us in the back.
My 401k is down but my spirits are up. This adjustment has the potential to unlock a new economic age for my children and my children’s children (yet to come). I am not even 40 yet and I already consider electing Trump a piece of my legacy, my mark on this world. An American renaissance is upon us.
Frau Blücher returns…
My biggest fear is that 47 will give up on the tariffs in a few weeks once he meets with these countries individually. And then the whole world will then know to never take 47 seriously about anything because 47 will look like Hussein Obozo and his red line. SMH
Keep worrying. It does a body well.
So you don’t want the tariffs? I want the tariffs and I want them to be permanent.
Think: “negotiations.” Crushing tariffs force you to come to the table and deal. If you say you’ll do the right thing and then actually(!) do it, your tariffs might indeed be reduced.
Trump will have SOME tariffs. But we won’t have any more federal income tax. Then the states are going to be pressured to follow. I don’t know how many US states do not have income tax but I know Texas and Florida does not.
The internet says 8.
“Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming don’t levy any form of state income tax.”
Thanks for your concern./////
I want permanent tariffs. I don’t want Hussein Obozo fake threats like fake red lines or fake threats of tariffs. SMH
Essentially, most of Western Europe can’t survive economically without 1949 trade concessions. This is the foundation on which their welfare state house is built. Even trying to coordinate with China isn’t going to solve their problems, and meanwhile the natives are restless.
And behind the EU and China is the British Crown orchestrating it all.
RINOs in Congress will try to torpedo any Trump budget unless he gives in on something tariff-related. There’s more than a handful of globalists bought-and-paid for elected officials. They are traitors to America and should be unmasked ASAP. I’ve got the tar, who’ll bring the feathers?
It’s like the end of every Scooby Doo episode. They will rip off their masks and say, “That’s right! I did it! And I’d have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for those meddling MAGA kids and that stupid Trump”.
George Washington said the Europeans were bad in 1796. General Stilwell said China was was stealing from us before WWII. Brussels and the EU are the very embodiment of pusillanimous. Close our bases, shut off the money and let them all go to hell. Every. One. Of. Them.
1000%
Was “China” concerned about “Chinese” industry and prosperity? No. “Europe?” Ditto. Uncle Sugar gonna take care of us all . . .
I Vonder vy Ursula be lyin’…
Vord-man, vat do you tink?
Here’s an apt expression that just occurred to me:
As the USA tried to build a “service” economy, other nations built a “servicer” economy . . .
Neither one is sustainable.
What “bottomless national debt” actually means is that “Uncle” has run out of “sugar.”
Squeeze the pliers in the gonads HARDER! Don’t relent. We either win or submit to their bs. Give’em hell President Trump.
And BOOM goes the dynamite…

Per Just The News, President Trump just upped the ChiCom tariffs to 104%

Ad rem, I reported this character to you when I recognized his single word moderation post made at 1009 on the Japan post on Tuesday, he slipped in with the single word, “great,” so I’m not sure how this character, now dubbed Spam, got through moderation when we were just told that comment wouldn’t have met standards and was obviously recognized as part of a pattern of trickery that none would fall for again.
I have not heard back regarding my message on this topic yesterday, nor on the several messages sent weeks ago on this very topic, there appears to be a blockage in the system somewhere.
I hope all this can be resolved and the miscreants addressed effectively, us noticers are trying to help.
Blessings,

Now that takes the cake.
“The two leaders held a constructive discussion…”
Ha! One newspaper editor leaked the code used in spinning the news:
“Frank”, “useful”, and “constructive” talks were all keywords indicating that the representatives were screaming at each other across the table, just short of hurling staplers at their counterparts.
This all makes perfect sense now. Von der Leyen and the rest of the Eurocrat leadership are desperate to avert the Trump tariffs. They cannot do it on their own and do not care who they have to sidle up with to get it done. If it came down to it, they would even ditch Ukraine and align with Russia to make it happen.
This is because the money the EU has been getting from the old arrangement of one-sided tariffs and other one-sided trade restrictions is the money they are using to keep the EU in existence. Not just to keep it functioning, but to keep it in power. To keep it in their power.
The internal contradictions and old resentments and national and ethnic differences and animosities are too much to be held down by good will and appeals to altruism alone. It takes money – and a lot of it.
Consider what happened starting in 2009 with the Greek debt crisis. The northern Europeans (in particular the Germans) believed the Greeks caused the crisis through their own incompetence and mismanagement and they really hated the idea that they had to save the Greeks by bailing them out with their own money. The news reports back then were full of explanations about how the northern European economies had to carry the southern European economies. Stories about how unfair it all was that the harder-working and more frugal northern Europeans were having to face bailing out the easier-going and less diligent southern Europeans, and so on.
Many of you probably remember those reports. I think it gets to the crux of what is going on now regarding the fright and desperation that von der Leyen and the other Eurocrat leaders are now experiencing. What was it that finally smoothed over everything between northern Europe and bailing out and pacifying the Greeks and other struggling countries in southern Europe? It was the access to American dollars that the old trade arrangements provided that allowed them to make the Greek crisis go away without having to hit German and other northern European bank accounts and slow down their economies. Those old trade arrangements were what they relied upon every time there was an internal threat to the stability of the EU. And the whole EU is even weaker now, due in no small part to their stupid green policies and other decisions, than it was in 2009.
Now that Trump is threatening that ability to tamp down their internal contradictions with U.S. money, the next internal crisis may well blow the EU apart for good, and with it the good life of the Eurocrats would disappear. That is why they will side with anyone, even the Chinese, to get the U.S. to back off and let them continue on as they have.
Trump has the upper hand with the EU. I think he can pretty much demand anything he wants from them and they will end up giving it to him. None of these other countries, not even China, not all of them combined, can replace what the U.S. can do for them and has been doing for generations.
Nailed it.
Screu EU
This is a lot like the the wall in East Germany coming down, Poland Solidarity, and the execution of the Concesques (sp). Money will pour from European stocks to US stocks…. Just my thoughts mid day.
Capital flight started when Trump won. Direct foreign investment is going to the USA. Everyone can see the USA economy is going to boom under Trump.
This is Main Street David slinging a giant rock right at the head of WEF Goliath.
Now is the time, Main Street Europe! My brothers and sisters, we are behind you!
Heh. The USAID/WEF people liked to start revolutions to overthrow countries and take over their governments; let’s see how they like a taste of their own medicine!
Perhaps they will own nothing and be less happy
than they imagined that we were going to be.
Ceausesqu’s
Deplorable, evil folks, no matter how you spell their names.
Ty.. was scrambling hard mid afternoon.
Just imagine the huge number of “shorts” and “puts” on the European stocks, on the euro, and on the DAX (the German forex, that is, currency exchange).
Shorts and puts (put options, “I put it to ya”) are bets that they are going downward.
(Call options are “I call it in”. Both are side bets on the stock, each ‘stock’ is a tiny slice of the pie.)
There will be, is right now, a panic spiral downward, just like we saw a couple of days ago in the US.
The “investor” class the media represents will scream blue murder.
Screu them. The only thing our “investor” class invested in was murdering us, our society, our culture, our civilization, and fleecing us of everything they could. Not an ounce of loyalty.
..
Excellent insight! I would characterize it that all the players in the world economy have been masking their structural dysfunction with mechanisms that have been exploiting other players. Europe’s futile creation of the EU which can never homogenize enough to overcome cultural and fiscal asymmetry in their member nations has been masked by protectionist trade policies. Their illegal control over elections (Romania, France, etc.) and third world immigration is intended to stop the backlash.
China’s currency manipulation and domestic market access controls have been masking the fundamental flaws in their culture and propping up a fundamentally weak domestic economy.
The US has been masking, or more precisely covering for our fiscal disaster by allowing all of the above and borrowing from the countries that have been exploiting us.
OPEC and Russia have been covering up their internal issues with oil prices that for decades have been 100-200% higher than they would be in a market that was not artificially supply constrained.
This has been one big circle j&rk for many years, and we either blow down the house of cards now, or face the prospect of an uncontrolled financial meltdown or citizen revolt, or both.
And at the background context for this are those powerful factions in the EU and China that have as their objective a central global government with all that entails in terms of elimination of personal liberty.
I for one am ready to rip the bandage off now before it is too late.
Rip n Tear…
Very Good. You are on my list to look for now, not that that’s worth much.
I may be off 100% but, I know how I feel and many my age trump is my generation.
We have watched a group impose this insanity across every aspect of society to destroy humanity and all it represents. Money has fueled this destruction. Most has come from America. Now, I don’t know if we are the great satan but that name could easily fit us. We finance the luxury of this whole world through our markets and trading.
Cut off the excess money and you control the world.
In that scenario, Trump can right the whole world from this crazy “woke” satanic worship. My perspective.
We shall soon see. And the evil that has beset itself on us will soon be revealed as it is.
But, if so what will we do with that knowledge?
We’re fleshing out as Babylon from the looks of it.
“The internal contradictions and old resentments and national and ethnic differences and animosities are too much to be held down by good will and appeals to altruism alone. It takes money – and a lot of it. ”
You just described America, via the ‘Great Society’ and WIDE OPEN borders.
ALL.OF.IT….. is leftist TREASON……. P.E.R.I.O.D.
I suspect that on the back burner, the EU is talking to Canada about getting “dibs” on their heavy crude, and China about moving their refining away from the US and to China. This serves China’s goal of resource “stealing”, and EU’s goal of exploiting Canada to replace Russian petroleum products. At the same time the refining within the US (current attuned to heavy crude) would be forced to switch refining over to Light Sweet crude (primary US domestic resource).
I don’t expect Canada to be given a formal invitation to join the EU, but I think they’ll redo CETA to reflect the tariff obstacle. A couple of weeks ago, Carney switched up the Carbon regs to reflect EU’s regs. That was the primary obstacle in passing CETA the first time (it took over a decade). A lot of countries in the EU stalled it because they didn’t have “mirrored” regulations.
Carney is in deep with both the EU and China. I suspect that will be the new alignment. China wants, desperately, to get their hands on Arctic resources and Canada is their path. They’ve gone so far as to name themselves “Near-Arctic State”…which is merely a made up moniker, but telegraphs their intentions rather clearly.
Maybe the U.S> can form an alliance with Russia (christian nationalists) and against ungodly Eurocrats and Chicoms.
Nice try. Russian governments suck.
Now do China, and the EU. All governments suck.
Gonna be hard to do when Alberta leaves. We need a light sweet crude refining capability regardless.
Germany is going down the same path we went down 25 years ago. If they “sidle up” and zero-zero trade with China, their formerly protected, high pay labor industries will be gutted just like ours were. Skilled native Germans will then be competing for low paying jobs against their unskilled imported hordes. I’m sure that will turn out well…
Opinion: China will soon “gnaw” the entire German industry

China has become a serious threat not only to VW and Mercedes — the German chemical and engineering industries are also being attacked by Chinese competitors.
The German industrial base is facing an unprecedented challenge. Germany, once a leader in high-tech manufacturing, has faced a decline in industrial production over the past five years. This puts at risk the preservation of up to 5.5 million jobs and 20% of employment in the country.
Another important factor is China’s rapid transition from low-value-added manufacturing to high-tech and innovative industries. This is the Communist Party’s “Made in China 2025” strategy aimed at achieving world leadership in advanced manufacturing and technology.
The speed at which China has caught up with Germany is perhaps most noticeable in the automotive industry. German automakers have been criticized for their lack of innovation, slow transition to electric vehicles and inability to cope with the growing fierce competition from Chinese brands such as SAIC Motor and BYD. These problems have led to the threat of tens of thousands of layoffs and to the real closure of German factories.
China business could become a problem for German companies

German companies are increasingly investing abroad in China. This is particularly true in the manufacturing sector, such as the automotive industry. US companies, on the other hand, are largely staying away from the country. ”German companies are on the path to critical dependence on the goodwill of the Chinese leadership. They serve China’s geopolitical claim to power when they transfer their know-how to the country, and they can be squeezed out by domestic firms,” said Rolf J. Langhammer, a trade expert at the Kiel Institute, on the occasion of a recent analysis.
Hold on, now, I think you are definitely on to something, but not quite what you think.
You see, where are/were the finest technicians in the world?
Germany, Austria, Switzerland.
Zeiss Optics, for instance, is possessor of the only technology that makes the making of semiconductors possible.
Without that ultra-precision engraving, the etching can’t be done. (I’m pretty sure it’s in Austria, think Swiss watchmakers.)
Who is churning out millions of science students and robotics scientists? China.
While American students learn twerking and pronouns, and European students learn about sharia and having intercourse with brown men.
(Sorry, but that is actually standard in their grade school sex education books. Even in the most graphic “anatomy” illustrations, are brown male organ in white female vagina, brown male on top of white female.)
The ruthless Eurocrats have teamed up with the Islamic-African Third World at the bottom, what is to stop them from bringing in well educated, practical Chinese intelligencia at the top?
They have Polish plumbers and Latvian maids, what is one more foreign class?
I think this is more propaganda from some journalists.
it’s not china that is killing German innovation and skilled crafts. It’s their green philosophy. It’s not that they were slow with electric cars (that’s the give away) no one WANTS electric cars. They are being forced on people through green initiatives.
It’s great having such a wide bench here because people remember things that others forgot.
Then you see another angle on President Trump’s plan because, as we know,
He didn’t forget and is forcing them to strip away that thin veneer of decency
that they hide behind.
Nice copy paste from Sundance’s X account.
