The President wanted to do this in his last term as I recall, but it didn’t happen.
On June 14, 1975, I marched in a big parade at Ft. Lewis to commemorate the Army’s 200th birthday.
The next year, on July 4, 1976, we did the same for the Bicentennial.
That’s also Flag Day … as well as President Trump’s birthday.
I shouldn’t have any worry about which ways this goes, but I don’t think Roberts will ever do the right thing. Smh!

Kristi Noem wanted to force girls to compete against boys and have boys in their locker rooms, just so the NCAA wouldn’t get mad and “punish” the state.
Your assertion is not accurate. Noem wanted the bill’s language changed to avoid the state being put in a losing position.
I’m not saying I agree with that strategy, but your assertion falsely accuses Noem of not supporting only women in women’s sports when the issue is she had a different view on how to fight the NCAA.
I don’t agree with Noem, but we are in a war and we need to accept that all of us are not always going to agree on how to fight the battles.
One thing I’m sure of is won’t help to besmirch people we don’t agree with in terms of strategy and tactics.

The recent fencing girl who forfeited (received black card) recently against the boy fencer got me thinking. While very unfortunate, the only thing these reprobate organizations know is money. The one girl fencer forfeiting meant nothing to them. Again, unfortunate, but what would have made a difference on that fencing floor is as soon as every girl saw what was happening, they all just stop and refuse to continue, even girl against girl fencers. It would have been noticed if the entire fencing event had to be canceled with all those paying spectators. And then every attendee demand their money back.
Of course, the reprobate organization would probably have sued the girls for the forced cancelation of the event.
Important teams have already refused to participate in events where males were allowed to compete. They took every one of their players and went home.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts indefinitely blocked a court order requiring the return of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia by midnight tonight.
Earlier Monday, President Trump asked the US Supreme Court to intervene and grant an emergency stay of the judge’s order to return alleged MS-13 gang member Abrego Garcia to the United States.
Roberts granted the Trump Administration a stay on Judge Xinis’ order pending resolution.
Lawyers for Abrego Garcia have until Tuesday, April 8 to respond.

Last Friday US District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Maryland, Paula Xinis ordered the Trump Administration to return an alleged MS-13 gang member to the United States after he was deported to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison.
Judge Xinis ordered the Salvadoran gang member to be returned by Monday at midnight but Roberts blocked her order.
Solicitor General John Sauer took issue with Judge Xinis’ broad order and condensed timeline it his emergency application to the Supreme Court.
“The Constitution vests the President with control over foreign negotiations so that the United States speaks with one voice, not so that the President’s central Article II prerogatives can give way to district-court diplomacy. If this precedent stands, other district courts could order the United States to successfully negotiate the return of other removed aliens anywhere in the world by close of business. Under that logic, district courts would effectively have extraterritorial jurisdiction over the United States’ diplomatic relations with the whole world,” Solicitor General John Sauer argued in his emergency application to the Supreme Court.

The point is very soon coming when President Trump will do what Presidents Jackson and Lincoln previously did. Simply to declare that the Court’s actions are unconstitutional and will not be followed. He does this on his own Article 2 authority. (“He has made his ruling – now, let him enforce it.”)
“The Executive power is vested in a President of the United States.” Period. This power is not subject to Judicial consent or approval. Foreigners who are in the United States illegally have no standing in US Courts and cannot be “defended” by them. Judges have no power to tell the President what to do with them. If he orders their deportation, that order simply stands.

The market seems to disagree the tariffs will be passed on to consumers. Market value is the present value of future income of a stock. If the income drops because the company will absorb the tariffs, the stock price will drop. If they’re passed on, there wouldn’t be any changes in stock price all other things unchanged.

“The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops announced Monday that it is ending a half-century of partnerships with the federal government to serve refugees and migrant children, saying the “heartbreaking” decision follows the Trump administration’s abrupt halt to funding.
The break will inevitably result in fewer services than what Catholic agencies were able to offer in the past to people in need, the bishops said.
“As a national effort, we simply cannot sustain the work on our own at current levels or in current form,” Archbishop Timothy Broglio, president of the conference, said in a statement. “We will work to identify alternative means of support for the people the federal government has already admitted to these programs.”
The decision means the bishops won’t be renewing an existing cluster of agreements with the government to provide various services to refugees and unaccompanied migrant children entering the United States, Broglio said.
The programs will shut down by the end of the fiscal year, which on the federal calendar is the end of September, Broglio added in a Washington Post commentary.”

Not defending Boomers but look at the timeframe. Boomers are a product of WWII and parents who went through the Great Depression. Many sacrifices were already made. The timeframe is 1946-1963/64. That is a wide gap and a lot happened in those two decades to lump everyone in the same category such as the JFK and Bobby Kennedy assassinations, Vietnam War, Civil Rights movement, ERA, Cold War, 9/11, Gulf War, etc. When was there a Donald Trump type that has come along except for now? What other President was willing to do this? Trump is the first who has the guts to do it.

SCOTUS correctly noted that the illegals could only bring the action in the district in which they were held – Texas. The illegals can challenge their deportations, but it will be in federal court in Texas, and any appeals go up to the Fifth Circuit.

I accompanied an elderly neighbor to a Dr. appointment back during the time of the killing fields. He needed an advocate with him, as his own son was not available and I knew his Dr. The Dr. in question was doing the minimum to advocate for any need of vaccine but he asked me to drive him.
As the gentleman checked out, I waited by the exit door of the waiting room. An elderly woman that my neighbor knew was waiting to go in. He stopped to speak with her, during which time one of the nurses stuck her head out to tell the lady, they had run out of clot shots and she would have to come later in the week to get hers?
My neighbor took her by the arm and said, let me walk you to the car. I tagged along behind them. He told her, do not get this. It is poison. She told him her daughter was insisting. He flat out told her, you go home and call back to this office and tell them to take you off the list. Tell your daughter you got the damn shot and stuck your card in a safe place. Do you understand.
When we got in the car he looked at me and said, I think we just saved her life. I had to agree with him. It also lead to a romance between the two. Very heartwarming.
A couple of months into the hysteria we were at Sunday brunch. What would you know but there was my elderly neighbor’s new sweetheart with her insistent daughter. Who spent the entire time floating from table to table, asking everyone if they got their vaccine. I thought it was humorous at the time, she talked to everyone in the place but looked at us with an odd face and sailed right on by.
I doubt she knew the part I played in her mother being spared. While the romance is going well, the daughter’s health is not so lucky. I get the impression that clot shots and over indulgence in gin and tonics do not mix well.

Quick take: It is just a requirement of sufficient notice to enable the detainee to seek relief through a personal (not a class!) petition for habeas corpus.
Habeas corpus (translates to produce the body) just means a challenge to custody. It is not the same as the full due process as you would see in a deportation proceeding.
This is consistent with the basic notice requirements of English Common law rights.
