This is the Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua near Festina, Iowa. Although not as rustic as the above one, this has a fascinating history.
It’s the chapel at Red Mill, outside of Waupaca, WI. Alas, it was painted white four or five years ago so doesn’t look quite as rustic. Great ice cream, sandwiches and a gift shop, along with a covered bridge trail over the Crystal River that leads to the chapel. Lovely place to visit if you’re in that neck of the woods.

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.

This mayor picked the wrong battle a few years ago during the Covid shutdown scam. She chose the charge restaurants in the North End (Italian Section) of Boston $7,000 per year so they could have outdoor dining. The outdoor dining was necessary for restaurants all over Boston to accommodate the “fake” social distancing mandates put in place by these fools.
All of Boston had outdoor dining but the North End was the only section required to pay the $7,000 fee. Not cool! Capiche?

Every morning, I do a quick window wash on my car…the windshield is clear and clean to my wondering eyes yet as the washer solvent is pushed to the side of said windshield, there is an obvious presence of a tan sediment that is being removed.
Even after an hours long rain, that something, is still present and removed by my quick window wash.
The latest explanation has been the ‘wildfires’ out west. Last year, it was the wildfires in Canada….

Then all of a sudden the “Conspiracy Theorists” were 37-0 in their theories being correct.
I think of a post by Donald Trump Jr. from a few years ago when he said, “If you want to keep up to date with what’s going on in the world, I suggest you get your favorite conspiracy theory friend and keep him on speed dial.” Or something to that effect.
I believe there are people controlling/manipulating/seeding the weather. I think back to very early in President Trump’s first term when a huge storm devastated portions of Texas. The media, right on cue, all sang the exact same chorus of, “This is President Trump’s Katrina.” They sang in unison a little too perfectly, don’t you think?
The hard nosed and hard working Texans foiled the plot though. If the storm was on a Friday, they all had their house gutted with piles of rubble sitting curbside in front of their houses by the next Wednesday. Why? Because trash pick up day was Thursday. They had a deadline and they didn’t want to miss it.

When is a contrail not a chemtrail? How do you know the difference? In northern latitudes contrails are not chemtrails.
Contrails contain water (which is a chemical) so it seems that all contrails would technically be chemtrails.
Not sure how Florida can ban such things, especially when only the FAA has the authority to regulate the US airspace.
I’ve heard that the State has control under a certain amount of feet, Feds above that.
So technically, states can’t control what the Feds do above those feet.

A contrail disappears within minutes of showing up.
A chemtrail does not disappear, it spreads out and makes the sky appear “milky”.
The problem is, once there are enough chemtrails in the sky, the sky becomes so “milky” that you can’y even see the contrails once they’re laid down. They just blend in with the already whitened sky.
When I was a kids, we used to love to lie on our backs on a summer day and watch the contrails appear and disappear.
Now that we’re back to blue skies (sometimes) here in N. FL., I saw a contrail for the 1st time in years just the other day. It was great to watch it disappear!

(Bloomberg) — Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said he would go to the US as soon as possible to pitch a wide-ranging deal with President Donald Trump over tariffs.
Speaking in parliament on Monday, Ishiba said he would strongly urge Trump to drop the planned 24% tariff on Japanese imports, first by holding a phone call with the president.
“We must make it clear that our country is not doing anything unfair,” Ishiba said.
Over the weekend, Ishiba said Japan’s approach to resolve the crisis over tariffs could include proposals over liquefied natural gas, cars, agriculture and national security, according to local media.
“When we negotiate with the US we want to present a package. That will take some time, but we will make it a success,” Ishiba said.

The US Constitution was purposely written the way that it was, precisely in anticipation of moves like this one. The Judiciary interprets the law, but does not enforce it. It was given no powers of review or consent against the actions of either other Branch – one day, it simply “assumed” those powers, and nobody stopped them at the time. The time to “stop them,” therefore, is “now.” We do not have “four hundred Presidents.”
If you want to amend the Constitution to say otherwise, you are welcome to try . . . But, unless and until you do, it says what it says.
Is there a mechanism within these courts where other judges will step in and require a recusal in order to return some semblance of balance?
