Two weeks ago oil was $63 and falling. Today it’s $72 and rising. I thought that the game plan was to bring oil down in order to bring inflation down which brings down interest rates on car loans, mortgages and most of all the national debt.

Just like a baker, if the cost of flour and yeast go from $0.50 per loaf to $0.10 per loaf, the cost of their labor and overhead remain the same. Else, if they are forced to reduce the price of a loaf of bread beyond the lower material costs they won’t be able stay in business. They will stop making loaves of bread and look for something more profitable like making donuts.
Then, we have fewer suppliers for bread and the price will actually increase.
Actually, the goal is to find the Goldilocks price. Too low and domestic fracking producers lose money. Too high and downstream costs don’t come down.

Just to give perspective from the other side, I was speaking with another UK farmer and because l have followed Sundance for 7 years now, l was able to explain the import tariffs that Canada imposes on US diary products to him. The problem comes when question contains an entangled mess of wires, wrapped in duct tape, hiding a pile of needles, and trying to isolate one needle in the needle stack. The corrupt systems have been set in place for decades by those in power to obfuscate back channels, shady deals, and the selling out of American interests. The more complicated the problem, the less the general public understand it, and the less that people will be interested in solving it, let alone trying to grasp understanding of it. It’s absolutely on purpose.
Venezuela is propped up by BRICS, Maduro is a puppet allowed to maintain a semblance of power. Venezuela has an overabundance of natural resources, and everyone that is not the USA – including our allies – uses them to circumvent us. This action significantly slows the tap.
Ok then, we will be paying more for every thing in India including food, transport.. the poor and middle class will be the hardest hit.. the Rupee will continue to fall in value as inflation hits and we will need more rupees to purchase oil in US dollars
It’s either that or we somehow makeup for 2 million barrels of crude oil from some other supplier whom we did not do business with and chose Venezuela instead
