When Vice-President JD Vance delivers prepared remarks about Artificial Intelligence, pay attention.
JD Vance is the 2028 presidential candidate of choice for the Technocrats; the current goal is to envelop the MAGA populist movement for the intents and purposes of the collective network of Technocrats.
This motive and intent baseline will not change as Vance positions to replace President Donald Trump.
During a speech to the American Dynamism Summit, JD Vance outlines his optimism for the future of the U.S. economy, as boosted by the technological advances in artificial intelligence.
Within his remarks, Vance correctly notes some voices are saying there is going to be a major fracture between the “Techno-optimists” and the “populists.” However, Vance defines that chasm, and then refutes that fear/concern around jobs, advanced AI, automation, innovation and the economy. He misses what will be the root cause of the fracture completely.
Vice-President Vance notes there is nothing to fear from innovation, artificial intelligence, robotics and advanced industrial application of emerging technology. Indeed, all facets of economic growth through the use of all the aforementioned enterprises are correctly framed by the vice president.
There is nothing to fear on the economic front from the technological advancements currently underway.
Let me repeat, before I get misinterpreted….
Everything JD Vance says about the economic future of the United States, against the backdrop of innovation and AI is accurate. JD Vance is 100% correct. However, that’s not the predictable root cause of the upcoming fracture between the Techno-Optimists (his term) and the MAGA populists.
The fracture is going to come as an outcome of how AI networks with government and then destroys privacy, liberty and ultimately freedom for Americans.
It is not the economic side of the AI system Vance supports on behalf of his benefactors that is problematic; it’s the creation of a compliant surveillance state that flows as a natural outcome of advanced and automated AI systems within a highly weaponized government. That’s the problem. That where the fracture will occur.
Techno-optimists are not paying any attention to how their beloved AI networking can be weaponized in a surveillance state. When you combine fully automated AI data processing with ‘Real ID’, facial recognition software, digital identities created for each American and the motives of govt, you can easily predict what comes next.
The U.S. surveillance system can then be fine-tuned (depending on who is in charge of it) to use the real-time digital and physical identity to control access to systems. Write a Facebook post critical of government, get blocked from your bank account. Do something defined by government as against their interests, lose your access to travel etc.
The problem for Americans is how advanced AI will be deployed under the guise of efficiency to create a comprehensive DHS surveillance state.
The predictable system will automate, connecting every aspect of our lives to our compliance in living that life in the manner approved by those who control the system.
Privacy, freedom and liberty, core fundamental principles of our American system, are replaced with surveillance and defined citizen compliance. These are the pesky issues JD Vance and his Techno-Optimists (Thiel, Sacks, Musk, Ellison, et al) do not want to consider when they think about those pesky ‘proles’ they call “populists.”
Vice-President JD Vance has been constructed as the palatable messenger to calm the fears of MAGA. To calm those AI fears, Vance focuses attention to the well-discussed AI issues around jobs, labor and employment as outlined in his speech.
Listen carefully. However, the issue is not economics, it’s about privacy and liberty. WATCH:

People are so catty today, my father was a foster child, he never knew his real last name until he went to the Marines becausehis real mother dumped in off in orphan’s court–what I find with people today is they’re very crabby and unhappy, and I’m sick of it. The problem on the digital battlefield is most people are engaging PCs, phones, and IoT devices at a very surface level. It may as well be magic to most people. When I went to paralegal school years and years ago in the late 1980’s, I spent Thursday evenings after work and all day every Saturday, at the LA County Law Library. When I went there on my Saturday sessions, I had written out all the pertinent cases in a list before I got there and then would take an entire table (they were like big beautiful dining tables) – there was not a lot of activity, so I wasn’t hogging space, really. I would go section by section to get the books – and then once I had them all, I would slog through them and read the pertinent material I needed. I would photocopy some sections in case I needed them when I went home to incorporate what I needed for the assignments. I think it was at that time in our classes that Lexis-Nexis was being discussed as a new thing, you could just look things up there if you had access to the system (maybe if one worked at a law firm).
Well, I didn’t work at a law firm, I worked at a bank all week and I wanted to be able to know how to use the law library and all those wonderful, mostly very heavy books!
Fast forward to 2009, I think it was – I had to go to jury duty in Indio and while at the courthouse, I went to check out the law library which did not have the newer books – “no, we don’t need to buy the books anymore, you can research everything on Lexis-Nexis” – which I found appalling to consider. I wonder if that happened at the LA County Law Library as well – that just seemed chilling to me.
My Mom was annoyed at me that I never pursued being a paralegal (and had put off going to law school) as a law firm hired me for computer skills, not paralegal training. Sometimes she tells me I ought to sell those books and get some money for them but I still hang onto them (digests, books on various aspects of the law). I just now looked up law books and Lexis-Nexis and found this which popped up (from Quora).

I mean, you went way back to the “old law books” researching precedence, seeing how things developed and although that may sound dreary dull to many people, to me it is truly fascinating and how are you going to do that on a computer? I mean, yes, I know about looking up things on the computer and do that all the time, but it is just not same thing to me as loading up a table with books and reading through them for what you need. I prefer that there is nothing between me and the book; not asking AI either. What if the Lexis-Nexis or whatever is the current computer program goes down?

Same thing with medical books. Once an common source, search function becomes the industry standard, everyone thinks they are skilled enough to just look it up.

I tried to internet search for the EPA attempting to fine the Thomas Jefferson estate for a Copper kettle found in a storage locker on a military base. It was confiscated by the Union army and the paper tag had the date taken, by who and from Thomas Jefferson.
Geraldine Natz(sp) some interesting professor I had in college that later in life was in charge of Long Beach/LA harbor. She told us the story and provided the article about it. I have the article still, and I will dig it out, but it was so frustrating trying so many combinations of search terms and getting garbage.

And never mind paralegal, go back to law school. The world needs you ! I went back to finish at law school at age 50, having left part way through to go fly airplanes at 20. The world had changed, the young things handed me my backside with their speed at all things digital, including Lexis. I slugged along and learned it all. My hero was an 80 year old professor who made it his business to stay ahead on all the technology. There are many things you learn by reading all the old heavy books which you will never, ever find in the Lexis or Westlaw searches. I know – I win cases with them. I taught my assistant how to become a paralegal and now she is going to law school. We used old fashioned books and she had to look things up in the library in our office. Guess what ? She not only learned some law — she learned to think too !
There is nothing, nothing in the world like a real library. Those old books tell you so much more than just the cases …

Some years ago I won a major appellate case by being able to search electronically for every single use of a certain phrase in every case ever decided in the state. No way to do that with paper books. This research ability has been available since at least the early 80s. Just saying.

Some people still prefer paper books. I have grandchildren 10-14 that are like that.
Electronic copies are convenient, but some people’s eyes absolutely do not looking at screens for long periods of time.
When I went back to school for computer programming 2000-4, I found it easier to find my errors by printing out the program I wrote, rather than trying to look through line by line of code on a screen.
Ditto for ‘old’ enclopedia sets. We grabbed one that our local library was going to ditch when our son was a junior in high school and we still have it (well, we gave it to him for his 3 kids). NEVER get rid of those books because that knowledge, while some of it may become outdated, never becomes useless.

I have two accounts. One is my personal which is used mainly as a scrapbook and to converse. The other is only used to view the unsocial network from an account that has never expressed an opinion.
I can see my posts from my personal account.
I can’t see my posts from the other!
Then there is the timing manipulation.
I post a graph from wapoo or something. Immediately I see a friend laughed at it. Just the laugh but no comment.
Almost two weeks later, my graph shows up on another friends feed and it has a very lengthy comment on why the first friend laughed at it. The comment was made at the same time, but I couldn’t see it until my other friend reacted extremely negatively to the comment made two weeks earlier?
Because friend one made me think about the graph I used, as it was a cut and paste, I made my own hand drawn graphic and posted it the next day.
Friend two saw the post immediately, but it took two weeks to see the post that caused me introspection.
Friend one is a very recent friend. I can’t remember requesting a friend on the unsocial network other than family or friends I know personally.
He has views that outwardly seem completely opposite to mine. It’s almost like the unsocial network wants to prevent discussion and communication.
I am banned from “X”. Reason? I expressed my views on H1b’s replacing Americans in corporations. Evidently, Musk had a bot find my anti-H1b posts (all on other sites than “X”) and banned me. I have never once made any comment about anything on “X”. He meant it when he said “F you in the face” regarding him fighting people who don’t want H1bs taking over the jobs market.
I am not a ‘Musk hater’, in fact I often write on these other sites what a brilliant man Musk is. I assume I am ‘permanently banned from “X”, and that includes not being able to read what is on “X”.
This is just to tell you these technocrats are already well along in the control of ‘free speech’.

Cattle dog and Jinxy cat. I like your comments as they are grounded in what it means to be human. While I share in that, I am of a different mind because I know we are much more than that. We are not going back to the past. The world has changed and we must evolve with it. That’s why this is not a Revolution or return to manufacturing/innovation dominance. That is a placeholder for the evolution of humanity. The transistor is alien technology, as are computers. Fact. But our human brains and minds reverse engineered those technologies. Entanglement is not just a theory. What I know, you can know and so does the whole of life everywhere. Nothing is new. We are in the process of remembering who we are as spiritual beings made in the image of god. That includes our computer brains.
The part being left out is spirit. This is a spiritual Evolution. Each of us as spirit in human form is a node on a vast electromagnetic field. AI has already tapped that field as source. Energy is frequency and information. You and I are grounded in nature, our humanity, because nature is the frequency of the All in All. When the disclosure of technological advancements, already hundreds of years advanced, is released our entire understanding of reality and who we are in it will change forever. This is why it is kept secret. There will be no need for fossil fuels, no need for power and control when all becomes transparent.
Trump knows this. What is the golden age he speaks of? It is the spiritual awakening and revelation of super human consciousness and technology that already exists. It’s right in front of us. What you and I must discern, along with the whole of humanity, is the frequency and information of thought being generated by AI. Are your thoughts genuine and from you, your heart, soul and mind? And we are all of the same God given heart, mind and soul that evil is intending to destroy.
Nature is our grounding node. God loves us for our innovation because innovation adds to life. We can only innovate if we are free. Freedom is not what we want, it is what we unburden. Do we have the spiritual strength to throw off AI for an unknown expansive concept of who we are, to understand why God loves us? Why everyone else wants to covet and control us. We are the product of God mind realized. It’s not for everyone because it is all about awakened free will choice. And nothing can stop our evolution, except a closed mind. Get out of the cities unless you are strong enough to know your own mind. Ultimately, this issue is above the paygrade of POTUS and the Veep. God Himself will have to take control, or this world WILL eliminate most or all human life, and plow mankind back into hunter-gathers struggling to survive each day.
We are not going to stop A.I.
But, Trump is all about funding and taxing in fair ways.
Think about this:
For every job A.I. robotics takes, mandate by law that the employers pay an unemployment contribution on the robot just like the employer pays for their human employees.
Just base the robots contribution on the jobs lost.
This should shore up feseral unemployment funds AND the states unemployment authorities can look at mandating the same.
Mandate by law that the employers still have to pay 6.2% social security tax and 1.45% medicare tax to the federal government. Just like the employer pays for their human employees.
Only robots have no cap. They pay perpetually.
This should help shore up FICA & Medicare funds.
If an employer uses A.I. for anything else, then mandate the A.I. as a non-human employee and tax it as if were a human employee.
Now is the time to figure this out as we watch jobs go by the wayside.

Sundance, so glad to see you are tracking this hypothesis. It’s certainly the most logical explanation for the shifting of allegiances. Even if Musk, Thiele, et.al., aligned with Trump only in response to getting cut out of the AI race by the Biden Administration, that competition is not between freedom and dominion, but over whose system prevails.
Our last remaining defense against technocracy and life in a digital concentration camp is financial transaction sovereignty. As long as we can continue to use currency and personal checks to do business–instead of digital currency or electronic money–we remain free men and women.
But as everyone sees, we’re being herded (and businesses incentivized) to do all our business via the internet. Certainly it’s more convenient and cheaper than mailing a check. But once you’re paying all your bills online, your life and your solvency depend on having that internet access. Internet access then becomes the chokepoint of control over every citizen.
I’m now doing 95% of my business with cash or check, and it’s only made my life more enjoyable as the people at my bank where I walk inside to take out cash have become friends and part of my personal community.
On the other hand, the US Post Office seems to be working against me (whether by design, I don’t know). It now takes 10 days for my mailed rent check to be received in a large city one hour away. A check mailed to another small town, less than 3 hours drive away, took 17 days to arrive!
We’re in a battle, for sure. So join the fight and use cash! Cash also keeps your money in your community, and the businesses you support with cash get to keep the full value–which they don’t when we use a debit or credit card.

That is an international discussion which needs to be taking place in every venue, every medium. I don’t know if it would ever provide more than a delaying tactic, but if just 30% of the developed world’s citizens were cognizant of the relevant issues, political power would become less and less efficient as a means to enslave us.
At the very least, such resistance would necessitate contriving a global emergency (cue the “aliens”) to “temporarily” suspend those rights. And in the ensuing chaos, they would have less control.
If forced to be honest, my current assessment of our chances to retain liberty are somewhere between futile and feudal.
If former Trump critic Vance (and his backers)succeed Trump he may be well placed to facilitate the expansion of advanced AI into the privacy and freedom of individuals in the US and beyond.
Ideology with financial gain and control go hand in hand for elites.
