The “Alien Enemies Act” is the law, and it on its face gives the President full authority and discretion.
“The Law” is not subject to “interpretation” by [hundreds of …] “Federal Judges.”
The confrontation must finally come. President Trump must act as President Andrew Jackson once did.
Well, the fine point is that the act requires that we are at war which is discussed in the video. VF supports that we are when criminal gangs are concerned.
He didn’t bring this up, but I will:
WAR on drugs.
WAR on crime.
This country has not “declared war” since FDR did it. However, when we are confronting a “foreign enemy on our soil,” with clearly war-like intentions even “boldly expressed,” then I am not going to split legal hairs. I’m gonna call a spade a spade, and get rid of these people who are “shooting at me” before they succeed in doing so.
I don’t need to look up from the ground and see this inscribed on my tombstone: “He was ‘Right.'” (Or: “Wrong.”)

Trump’s Administration has finally taken notice of Rule 65(c) when it comes to Federal Courts:
(c) Security. The court may issue a preliminary injunction or a temporary restraining order only if the movant gives security in an amount that the court considers proper to pay the costs and damages sustained by any party found to have been wrongfully enjoined or restrained. The United States, its officers, and its agencies are not required to give security.
This is not discretionary and the court cannot assess a “de-minimus” security amount either; it must be defensible predicated on the costs and damages that the other party may or will suffer with the evidence of same in the order itself if the injunction or TRO issues until disposition of the case and the posting of said security has to be completed before the TRO or injunction is valid.

Thus where is Pam Bondi with immediate emergency filings against all of the existing injunctions already issued demanding that security be posted up and computed in said public filing and, if there is any delay or refusal by the judges involved to do so taking an immediate emergency appeal as far as necessary including to the Supreme Court which, given the actual language in the Rules of Civil Procedure is a slam-dunk and immediate win? No, demanding this only on a forward basis for future filings is not enough — force the movants in all the existing injunctions to either post up security or dissolve the injunctions and TROs.
Good lawyers do not go into a courtroom unless they know what the outcome will be.
In this case, these issues, and scotus so politicized, if I were PT I would ignore the lower courts,
tell them it is not in their scope to make these rulings and do what we all know to be legal.
It will bring impeachment, but I say, so what. We need to go for broke here as things are indeed
way beyond a separation of powers and constitutional government.

The law clearly states that the President makes the determination and directs the removal of the aliens.
District Court Judge Boasberg defies the President’s proclamation and orders the return of the deported aliens. Boasberg’s arrogance, his usurpation of the President’s, authority is intolerable. Boasberg must be impeached.
The Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) of 2001 remains in effect.

I read that in 1948, the Supreme Court held thay a president’s decisions under that Act are not subject to judicial review. That district judge who tried to stop gang members from being deported had no authority to do what he did.

Something that didn’t make any news. President Trump has approved the Qatari gas pipeline project to Europe. It will give 400 MW per hour to Jordan and 250 MW per hour to Syria (despite US sanctions on Syria).
Since the ultimate Qatari purpose is to supply gas to Europe, it will tend to undermine US LNG sales to Europe.
Can’t find any reference for U.S. approval of the long-planned Qatar-Turkey pipeline project to Europe. (Small note. Jordan, Syria: not in Europe.)
There appears to be a recent approval from the U.S. for Qatar to supply Syria (through Jordan), as you point out, with much needed gas to help the energy starved population. It seems to be a temporary measure to help Syrians suffering from so much conflict, but is only approved through July. All other U.S. sanctions remain in place.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), established on December 15, 2018, emerged as a new autocephalous entity, distinct from the historical Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), long tied to the Russian Orthodox Church. During his tenure as U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo was in office when the OCU was formed and then recognized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, led by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I. Known as the “first among equals” among global Orthodox bishops, Bartholomew holds primatial authority to grant canonical independence. On January 5-6, 2019, he issued a Tomos of Autocephaly to the OCU, severing its ties to Moscow. Pompeo supported this, calling Metropolitan Epiphaniy I, the OCU’s primate (born Serhiy Petrovych Dumenko), in December 2018 to affirm “U.S. support for religious freedom and Ukrainian sovereignty.” In October 2019, he met Epiphaniy, praising his leadership and decrying religious abuses in Russian-held areas, aligning U.S. policy with countering Moscow’s influence via the UOC-MP.
Historically, Constantinople formally recognized the Moscow Patriarchate in 1589, when Patriarch Jeremias II consecrated Job as Moscow’s first patriarch, cementing its status until the 2018 schism over Ukraine. Despite centuries of tense collaboration, Moscow broke communion with Constantinople in October 2018, suspending a real but fraught canonical bond.
The U.S. State Department, via USAID, gave an estimated $1 million to $5 million to the Ukraine Crisis Media Center (UCMC), an NGO launched in 2014 to fight Russian disinformation. On May 20, 2019, shortly after Zelenskyy’s inauguration, the UCMC backed by USAID’s $30.6 billion Ukraine strategy, warned the new president in a “Red Lines” statement signed by over 70 NGOs.

So the Democrats can interpret a 150 year old law to try to remove Trump from the ballot, but the President can’t use a law that’s slightly older and far more relevant to the situation at hand.
