The issue of Canada becoming the 51st state arose from a conversation in Mar-a-Lago between Prime Minister Trudeau and U.S President Donald Trump.
As Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlined, Trudeau said if President Trump was to make the Canadian government pay reciprocal tariffs, open the USMCA trade agreements to force reciprocity, and/or balance economic relations on non-tariff issues, then Canada would collapse and cease to exist.
In essence, Canada cannot survive as a free and independent north American nation, without receiving all the one-way benefits from the U.S. economy. To wit, President Trump then said, if Canada cannot survive in a balanced rules environment, including putting together their own military and defenses (which it cannot), then Canada should become the 51st U.S state.
This is the first point of contention for the gender-correct qualifications of Canadian Ambassador to the U.S, Kirsten Hillman. Ambassador Hillman appears on Fox News Sunday’ to comment on U.S.-Canada relations, trade negotiations and how a federal election could impact the relationship between the two nations.
Ms. Hillman says Canadians will never give up their sovereignty. Let me repeat the non-pretending reality. If Canada loses all of the one-way benefits it receives from its relationship with the United States, the Canadian system of government and economics collapses.
Closed and non-competitive banking and finance sectors; a small military budget that does not even reach NATO expectations; an assembly or ‘pass through’ economy that doesn’t have heavy industry but instead assembles goods from foreign nations for transport into the United States; one-way excessive tariffs on American products. If these are ended, the lifestyle of the Canadian people immediately changes. Hence Trudeau saying, Canada cannot exist.
At the current rate of economic conflict, the Canadian dollar will lose 50% of its value by mid-summer 2025. This is the unavoidable reality Ms Hillman and the Canadian left-wing government will not openly discuss.
The only way for Canada to be a sovereign nation unattached to the United States, is if they drop all of their climate-change initiatives, drop their liberal economic rules and regulations, begin a system of heavy industry production again and get back to using cheap energy production as the fuel to drive it.
Canada would then need to discontinue most social welfare programs and instead divert that money to their military budget.
The leftist economic policies are why the Canadian banking system has to be closed, and all competition removed from the internal banking and finance equation. If reciprocity is demanded and enforced, Canada collapses; it’s that simple.

What Truedope said, in essence, was that Canada is not an independent nation even now.
Canadas existing economic paradigm
Was created by interests in the city of London
That aligned with relinquishing Hong Kong
And control much of California’s Farm Land
Oregon’s Farms and Timber
And water rights
Through third party leases
It is a NAFTA add on
Where 3rd party pass throughs
Drain Canada and the American Workers
Similar situations exist in Australia
These are the same entities inside

UN
The Nationalists Earth wide are done with this system
And
It’s end is nigh
Topple the Crown

Well, blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
It seems that everything’s gone wrong,
Since Canada came along!
Blame Canada!
Blame Canada!
They’re not even a real country anyway!
I guess South Park had it right all along!
Not the only time South Park has been right on the money!
Like “Save the cheerleader, save the world!”
I LIKE it!
Don’t bomb Moscow or Kiev, bomb the city of London!
Eat the bankers!
Scribble it everywhere you go!
We need a brutally succinct “Kilroy Was Here” meme throughout this Bankster afflicted world.
I’ll repeat this as often as needed….
If a surface detonation is seen in our lifetimes, it will be over London.
Let’s hope we never get to that point.
“The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks.”
Lord Acton
Canada has never really been an independent nation. It was a functionary within the British imperial system, and when that collapsed it assumed a similar role within the American system which replaced the British one.
Canada would appear to have the potential of becoming an independent nation, as it possesses a continental geography with access to the same sort of resources the US has. But Canada has never “grown up” as a nation-state with a self-sufficient economy and an independent diplomatic agenda.
I believe the “51st State” rhetoric is Trump telling Canadians it’s time to move out of the house.
Democrats should welcome them in. How many leftist reps would that add to the House??
Would be difficult to overcome.
Wow. The pretending is over.
Growing up, I always thought of Canada as a ‘Real’ country – why wouldn’t I?
That’s how it was taught in school.
The entire media supported that concept.
Just as a fish doesn’t realize it exists in a watery environment, I never questioned the basic concept.
Yes – Canada Does appear to be a ‘real’ country – the land that has been called Canada stretches from one ocean to another. It has cities, farms, companies, neighborhoods.
But maybe it’s only an example of Greenland, on a different scale.
Greenland has what – 56,000 people?
Tremendous land mass.
But cannot exist – truly exist – as a sovereign, fully independent nation.
Canada has what – 40 million people?
Almost the same number as California.
However, can its people and infrastructure really defend such a vast land?
As has been noted here in CTH and elsewhere, the great majority of people who live in Canada, live within 150 miles of the US border.
So, IF the US-Canada border was just magically moved north 150 miles, the overwhelming majority of people living there, would now be living in the US.
There would still be a giant land to the north of the USA, but it would be almost uninhabited, except for some hardy souls such as the Inuit (What I grew up knowing as Eskimos).
So… Stretching the point (till it breaks):
Q:
What’s the difference between Antarctica and Canada?
A:
One has the South Pole
One has the North Pole
I seen Canada describe as thin icing on a cake that’s the US.
I hope you are right.
Canada has the potential to become ten additional States. Their ten provinces are game.
They will never surrender their sacred sovereignty! They will, however, sell themselves to China.
90% of Canada is leasehold to the Crown of England. They have no Sovereignty, because they have a Sovereign. King Charles III.
That leasehold is a huge part of the Crown’s wealth. Then again we could show His Majesty the ocean liner of I.O.U.s and consider the trade (mineral rights and all), a wash. Canada 51 or 52 behind Greenland.
Some of the Snow Mexican’s need an attitude adjustment or migrate to Cali.
We don’t need or want any more socialists.
You never know if they were voted in. or put in like us.
Greenland has a population 1/10 the size of Wyoming, our least populous state. Why should we make them a state and let them have 2 senators? Why not just make it part of Canada 51? Perhaps we could work out a trade, Greenland for Puerto Rico? Denmark could once again own a winter island retreat, which they haven’t had since they sold us the USVI.
They would be like Guam, a territory.
Yes. we don’t need them to be a 51st state.
Thank you Viceroygrey! Most Canadians do not think through the significance of the Crown (King Charles III) owning almost 90% of the land. I have asked many middle aged Canadians, “What was Canada called before it became Canada?” They usually do not have a clue. It was British North American Territory. To some extent it still is.
The schools in Canada do not teach history or civics, but Justin made recreational cannabis legal.
“You will be doped up (happy) and own nothing.” –WEF
Don’t think the Canadian Crown Lands are in any way controlled by King Charles. At least from 1791 there was Upper Canada and Lower Canada.
The lease hold is paid to the crown of England, just as all your inland revenue in England is paid to the crown. Many say that is just historynomic language, the “Crown” is England, the Sovereign represents England as the Crown. The math says it is book cooking in favor of now Charles III.
Sovereign’s net worth is viewed through what is referred to as their personal holdings, about 500 to 800 million. For argument sake, the Duke of Westminster is worth 9B to 12B with holdings all over the globe. However, his concentration is his ownership of Westminster, Central London. Every square inch of ground is his, leasehold. While no one would argue that is not a hell of a feather, it compares not, to 90% of Canada.
If you take a closer look at what all is considered the “Sovereign’s”, it is the Canadian leasehold, all mineral rights in British waters around GB, art and antiquities (priceless), the land under the Savoy Hotel central London (addition like parcels). The list goes on and on, down to every swan in the country.
The real total net worth, is about 37T.
QEII only agreed to “pay” taxes (ironically to herself) back in the day, to appease the bookies and some decent optics, delay some Sherlock Holmes getting off into real meat and potatoes. There has been some excellent study of the books the last 15 years. I suspect the end of a very expensive soap opera is near. This 1000 year old version of “Are You Being Served”, has lost it’s luster.
The Crown of GB, Rothchild’s, Vatican top of the flow chart. Two out of three have major high profile issues that I am not sure they can damage control their way out of.
And the government will gladly Help you commit suicide. A government commiting suicide by Socialism wants to hurry the proles along in the process.
When Hong Kong was given back to China by Britain, thousands fled to Canada because it was part of the Common Wealth. This impacted affordability of housing, as capital was also fleeing the turn over.
How did Canada pick up the bar tab for a British decision? London out of the Americas, our “special relationship” has caused us nothing but grief.
We are snowbirds going right now. The Canadians we run into are quite angry & hate Trump. They see it as bring “bullied” by a tyrant. I read it as the Canadian media has them just as propagandized & indoctrinated as our media has done to us. But they really really are angry. Well, snowbird season is almost over. Buh bye!! Stay home next winter.
Love it!
In all fairness many have been indoctrinated by our Canadian media.
However for example on a basic cable news package includes CNN Faux is an extra $10/12 per month.
We don’t have the news package, but millions do and they believe Faux is an ultra right outfit.😂
All local channels have your CBS, ABC or NBC as affiliates.
Cheers!
I don’t know, the snowbirds that come here every winter seem happy enough. Many own homes here and stay the full 6 months they are allowed.
This may have been the case, but things are changing. The Canadian dollar is dropping like a rock, and will continue to do so. I noticed an area here in Arizona where Canadians own homes, and there was a..pleortha…of for sale signs. I feel badly for them. They tend to be nice folks.
I think this data Sundance should be pushed out far and wide. I somehow doubt that people on both sides of the border understand the problem.
If you think the Canadian Dollar is dropping like a rock. Please take a look at 3 month chart of the USD. Falling off a cliff is a good description for it.
No wonder they got Carney ex Bank of Cnada and ex governor of UK bank to take over
Exactly why we don’t need to be sending billions to Canada or anyone else
That six months has to do with ‘state residency’ and no doubt a lower property tax bracket for being considered a ‘resident’. That’s how they float it in St. Lucie County…It used to be 6 continuous months or you get selected to pay ‘enhanced’ property taxes.
They’ll be a lot angrier soon.
The snow Mexicans will continue to come. Southern Ontario, just does not compare to our southern states, our freedoms leave the snow Mexicans envious, and then comes the issue of failed socialized medicine.
Oh’ Canada manufactures nothing to sustain themselves, they tax themselves in an effort to attain sustainability, that is the business model for failure.
🫣That’s ridiculous, Canada’s public land contributes nothing to the crown of England. 48 percent of land is federal crown land but again the English crown or govt has zero say in what’s done with it .
Sometimes truth can be stranger than fiction – or in parallel.
Did/does anyone read novels by the author Clive Cussler?
In 1981, Cussler wrote ‘Night Probe’
The crux of the story, is that in May of 1914,
Britain sold Canada to the United States, for
1 Billion Dollars, in a secret treaty:
The ‘North American Treaty’.
However, both ships, carrying the signed treaties to each country, sink, in separate disasters, so both governments agree to bury any mention of the secret treaty, and pretend it never existed.
The plot revolves around a naval officer finding an obscure reference to the treaty in the then-future year of 1989, when a (supposedly) energy-starved US attempts to recover their copy of the ling-lost treaty, and put it in effect.
Cussler – who earlier had gained fame with his book, ‘Raise the Titanic’ liked to write implausible fiction, but make it seem like it could actually be possible.
I wonder if DJT ever read that novel???
Sounds like something an ambitious, energetic real estate developer would take on as a challenge:
“Owning big, beautiful Canada! This is gonna be YUGE!”
Big CC fan here. I remember that book. I also remember the reference to fictional killer Max Roubaix, whose signature was the garrotte.
We have enough problems in California without absorbing another whole nation. We are fighting to take back control of our state from the malignant leftistism that has nearly killed it.
make it all part of Alaska
The Crown of England
Relinquished their Lease on Hong Kong
And
Traded it
For a lease of Canada
Basically
The Crown never let go of that title from the beginning.
They only made a nation out of their holdings, not out of any sense of national identity or purpose, but to block the US from building a railroad to Russia.
The Holders of the Crown have always sought to block our relationship with Russia even as much as they have long sought and continue to seek to destroy her outright.
Well, most of Europe has been pretty Russophobic for centuries, even when their various royal families were fairly closely related.
They just might do that. They are arrogant and look down their noses at Americans. I was around too many of them in Fl. The only knowledge they have is what the govt. media tells them. Far as I’m concerned they are all useful socialist idiots.
Just like so many college educated, and media indoctrinated idiots here.
So then why would we want more?
Jordan Peterson woke up & he’s spreading the word through his podcasts & You Tube channel. I think Canadians are listening to him.
They already did. Chinese troops were training in Vancouver a few years ago
It’s America or China at this point, and that goes for Greenland too. Unfortunately China has become a predatory nation out to take over the world. These nations simply can’t survive as they exist now. As hard as it may be for them to accept the changes that are coming they need to move quickly or they risk getting swallowed up by China, and that will be even worse for them.
The good news is that China is over-extended, with a floundering economy, and the Belt and Road participants are starting to figure out the Chinese strategy and reject it.
The Elites will walk away with wheelbarrows of Yaun, the Canadians will go the other way with the mortgage and no way to pay it back.
I’m not a fan of Canada. I’m happy to cut them off and and let them drown. I do not want to make Canada a state. The vast majority are socialists and I certainly don’t want them voting in US elections. Just because they’re polite doesn’t make them good people. Especially the French Canadians !
“The vast majority are socialists”
Yes, they have a lot of Democrats.
The Canadians are a product of their environment, they only look at freedoms across the Detroit River.
Build a wall to keep Ontario and Quebec separate.
If Canada becomes the 51st state, I’m moving outta here.
I hear Rossie O’Donnell has a spare room to rent………
That one.
I read that Ireland tipped over when Rosie stepped off the plane.
The vast majority are not socialists.
The vast majority of us, are being held hostage, and under attack by the same forces that held your country hostage. First Obozo, then Xiden.
We have common enemies.
I am sick and f’in tired of people like you being uninformed about the makeup of our population.
That Commie, Castro Jr won with less than 33 per cent of the vote.
He was propped up the the real socialist’s.
Canada is a Conservative country, with patriotic values.
We are not mostly libtards.
They have put us under their dang boots!
Watch the next election, then come back and talk smack like this….
Your post is BS.
Yes, think back to the trucker protests. That was the real Canada.
Yep, and thank you, I was waiting for someone to mention the trucker protest, along with all of the children’s bodies buried around the schools where the Queen used to visit.
I can wish all I want, but I don’t expect anyone representing the Canadian government to acknowledge or mention anything “off smelling:” that has occurred in Canadian history. Have a cup of tea and some crumpets instead.
But don’t say anything about Trudeau wearing blackface or whatever it is that he has sex with. This is not polite.
I have restrained myself from going on a rant.
The children thing was the Sap’s version of BLM.
They had to fabricate an original sin to justify burning their patrimony down.
Those were ordinary graves; the entire World is under assault using ethnic divisions and sins ancient and often faked, China leads that effort, doing all it can everywhere to divide neighbors and fracture societies.
Yes, I heard that same thing regarding the child graves.
True!
Whooping cough, smallpox, diphtheria, and other diseases took their toll. My grandfather lost two young cousins in one month in 1888. I was at the cemetery doing family research and there were many children buried in the same period. He also lost a sibling to disease in 1900.
The child mortality rate today is negligible compared to rate before antibiotics and proven vaccines.
LOL
Excuse me?
What is the “real Canada” you speak of? Is that the same Canada that is and always has been a cuck for the Brits, the very same complete and utter bellends we threw out of America? The same Canadian crowds booing our national anthem when our boys recently played their hockey team in their house, showing off that famous Canadian courtesy that is far more myth than fact?
Our ragtag, patchwork, thrown-together, citizen militia-army DEFEATED what was then the greatest standing army in the entire world at that time and threw them out on their proverbial ear. Later, one of the very best stories told of some prig English lord who had placed a portrait of George Washington in his bathroom, and asked a visiting American “what did he think of the placement of the portrait?” as a means to insult the American. The quick-witted American replied, “Quite appropriate, as nothing makes a brit shit faster than the sight of George Washington.”
So has it always been.
Canada, by contrast, is unfit and unworthy to become a part of the United States, as it’s people have long shown their happy subservience and beggar-like deference to the corrupt and repulsive british crown.
Ol’ Bob of the North says: “They have put us under their dang boots!”
Yeah? And what have they done about it??
If they want America’s respect, they gotta earn it.
And the snow mexicans haven’t. Not by any American standard.
Pfffft
Another one who thinks you are better than us.
What did you do about Obama?
And Biden?
Not to mention, what did you do about the j6 prisoners?
BLM?
Antifa?
Having your money stolen?
The Govmt going after Conservatives?
You did nothing. You had a chance to change it, and you did, and that is all you did.
Sit down.
I see an awful lot of comments that suggest Americans think they are superior to us, while for many years, you all got rickrolled by the left too.
I thought there weren’t many who stuck their noses up at CTH, when we both have common enemy’s.
I was mistaken to think everyone here, has a functioning brain. I see some dont. Your high horse is a long fall. Perhaps that is why a lot of people dont particularly like Americans these days. Maybe some self reflection is in order.
Dont point your fingers, because there will be more pointed back at you. Stay humble, haters….
He’s playing you.
Surely you recognize an operative when it tosses a Molotov of animosity into our gathering?
The Canadian Truckers have been a model of courage.
And the very people who supported AND funded them are now – according to them – their mortal enemies and a “threat” to their “sovereignty”. The same “sovereignty” they already turned over to chyna.
My thoughts exactly. RCMP’s stampeding innocent “WORKERS” with horses. That type of action is nothing more than socialism on full display!
I have a pretty good handle on how the population shakes out politically. I did expatriate duty in Ontario and Quebec. A metric ton of liberals. We now reside in Arizona and see folks from the Western Providence on a daily bases, and they tend to be conservative; and despise both Ontario and Quebec.
If someonr spent time in Austin, San Fran, and Denver, they would believe the U.S. was very liberal,…
That says nothing of the country, only the ignorance of the visitor, given the dem party has a 29% approval rating, to say nothing of the electoral map…
I can’t wait to see what the map looks like next time, now that the USAID vote-buying slush fund has dried up. I know my blue county is actually red without fraud.
The trouble with the the electoral map is it shows geography not population density. A lot of the red area is low density population and wide open huge geographic space. Most of the blue area is very densely populated cities with very little geographic space. You can’t compare Wyoming with NY City, LA or Chicago by looking at geographic area. We must not become complacent, the voting population is still close to 50/50 no matter the red and blue on the map.
And if time spent in Chicagoland, they’d be shaking their heads with a “WTF” comment.
I don’t know about Austin or Frisco, but having been a resident in Denver once I can tell you that it hasn’t always been a leftist hellhole. Neither has California, where I grew up. I remember when L A was actually once a decent place to live.
Yes once. I remember.
Are you saying that Ontario and Quebec are not liberal? Everyone I interface with daily from the Western Providences has been conservative…..BC, not so much. ‘ seems consistent seven years running.
No in reality Trudeau got 53 percent because the NDP got 18 percent and the greens got 2 and there even more socialist than the liberals. Nice try 🫡
Voter turnout was apathetic.
It wont be this time.
Let’s hope for a time not far off when both the US and Canada have been made great again and are friendly and respectful toward each other.
Though proudly American, I’ve always thought Canada had one of the best anthems. A salute to our neighbors:..
Your parliamentary system was designed to do just that. Under the guise of “democracy,” it encourages you to divide into a multitude of political parties and removes you as far as possible from directly electing those who govern you. It works like a charm. Just look at the UK. They’re in the same boat.
British Columbian chiming in.
The next few weeks will be a fascinating watch.
The mood around “ our hood” is a strange one.
Many are truly clueless, as for decades they have been deluded into thinking their fantasy was real.
However many millions are pro President Trump, so we shall see.
Lavish pensions, a great medical system 😂 no need for a military, ridiculous native land claims B.S.
A fascist eastern Canadian federal government, that caters to Francophones in Quebec that desire independence from Canada.
Yet all the while expect to vacation in Florida, Hawaii, Arizona etc. and denigrate the U.S.A.
Interesting times for the “ sheep” and ill prepared.
Cheers!
That suggests that those Canadians planning ‘seasons in the sun’ stateside, might want to think about purchasing tickets early, or converting loonies to US$ ahead of time. Or to anything that might buy more Canadian dollars later.
The ‘author’ DID say something about a greater than 20% slide short-term…
Correct,
We know several Canadians that have U.S. dollar accounts.
Many of us have a U.S. cash reserve, we know a few that have rental properties in Hawaii and Arizona so they may do okay.
Who really knows how it will affect the “ small fish” out here on Canada’s west coast, if one is debt free and modest in one’s lifestyle.
There is no need to travel..we will simply travel less to the States, spend more time on Vancouver Island or the interior of the Province.
One would anticipate many more Americans will come north to Whistler, our vacation spots are lovely.
The major cities are to be avoided.
Cheers!
Thank you Dekester. I reside in the US and it is only about a two hour plus drive to cross the border into Canada. I’ve been to Toronto, Quebec, Vancouver Island etc. Your country is as diverse as the the US from what I have can ken. I wouldn’t go to to Quebec City again if you paid me to.
Was once a tailor of sorts, and I know my fabrics. The very sight of a man wearing a pinkish colored, exquisitely tailored suit made out of mohair, somehow seemed to shame me, as I was wearing a pair of Birkenstock sandals. Strange memory for sure.
When I was still able to ski, my local ski club went to Whistler. Can’t remember why I couldn’t go on that trip.
Glad you are diversifying your assets. Am feeling the same way about travel, even in the US. Strange things are circulating round. Something is going down for sure, and I have not been able to put my finger on what it is . Visiting the TreeHouse helps me alot. Thanks again. Glad to meet you here.
Lovely post, thank you!
For those Americans inclined to travel, Vancouver Island is quite the spot for a vacation.
The U.S $ is strong, once out of Victoria the scenery and climate is temperate.
Cheers!
I’m curious if the border crossing treatment of US citizens will change because of of these heated exchanges between our politicians. Is it more dangerous to travel to and from Canada now?
A family from the U.S. on a ski trip in Banff, Alberta was interviewed on the news here the other day. They were astounded by the beauty, the cost to them(low Canadian $), and the friendly people. They said they would definitely be back.
I would venture to say, Americans would be more than welcome on the prairies, down east, not so much.
Yep, we would have excelled as a nation if Quebec had seceded.
But the fake election ensured the status quo.
Cheers!
Its not called canaduh for no reason. Let doge have special authority to spill the beans on canaduh.
Until Trump exposed canaduh as an economic basket case without us support I believed the pretend state of canada.
France has a pretend first lady.
Canada has a pretend economy.
The facts about the above tell the story.
How many Americans are deceived into thinking we’re on solid ground too?
Europe has a partly pretend economy also. They are hollowing out their industry, run huge trade imbalance with the US, have immigration run amok, and are much farther left than the USA. Europe is decaying before our eyes. They have turned from Christianity.
Thanks for always chiming in with common sense.
🥂
Me neither, and in my neighborhood we have both canadian and austrailian pinkos.. Last election their yards were full of communist democrat signs…
Not all. My Canadian neighbors are very Conservative & MAGA.
I’m not clear what is the problem with letting Canada collapse, if they can’t/won’t figure out a way to save their economy.
Because what we don’t need are millions more economic “refugees”.
Yet, they come here for medical treatment, because their socialized medicine is so pathetic. I was shocked when Lliam Nealson’s wife was gravely injured skiing in Canada, they didn’t even have air evacuation, they had to transport her miles and miles by ambulance. We are so used to what we have here, it is a shame more do not appreciate it.
Just so….looking around at the Hospitals in Buffalo/ Niagara Falls you’ll see many
Plates from Onterio.
Canada is totally corrupt They let in Chinese and Hezbollah and Palestinians who run the fentanyl and other drug trades
Like we’ve done here?
Very ignorant comment. Turdeau was PM winning with 33% of the popular vote.
There are just as many Canadian patriots on a per capita basis as the US. Don’t kid yourself. You were run by an unelected feeble moron for 4 years and you did nothing about it.
Mirror mirror.
I beg to differ. There are thousands of J6ers whose lives will never be the same because of it, and that’s not all. The price paid by President Trump, his family and many friends and associates of his has been tremendous. Look what they’ve done to Rudy Gulianni, Mike Lindell, Roger Stone and Steve Bannon to name just a few! You don’t know what you’re talking about.
They were reported to be very rude when they invaded FL, some 50 years ago.
Be realistic. We’re going to have to help them anyway. It would be a lot less costly if we do it before they collapse. Unless you have a plan to saw off their part of the continent we’ll be stuck with another Mexico to the north.
I do not want them as the 51st state. All you would get are a bunch of new left-wing reps and 2 demonrat senators. No thank you. I have many Canadian relatives and was not aware of how dependent they are upon us. A few are conservative but most are lefties.
Canada is basically a couple of large liberal cities in the eastern part of the state and the rest is a vast forest.
District of Canada. Canada D.C. residents will not have voting representation in Congress, but will elect a single non-voting congressional delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives. The district’s voters choose three presidential electors in accordance with the 23rd Amendment, passed in 1961.
….and no welfare benefits for the able-bodied. English will now be the official language….in Quebec too….especially in Quebec.
Third Party Contracts

Beneficial Interest
The old guards shell games
Are about to run out of table
Guys, dream on. Canada had the third biggest navy by the end of WWII. Long time ago, I know. Trump was the absolute best thing to hit Canada. No better wake-up pill for the disaster which the woke Liberal Party has visited upon this country. They will be swept away in the next election, trust me. Growth in the Permian Basin is slowing; its reserves are 20 billion barrels. Alberta’s reserves alone are 167 billion. Heck, wouldn’t it be nice to have Canada as the 51st? Ain’t happening. Lotta pain comin’ down the pike for the silly Canadians, but pain is a brutal teacher, and the students will quickly learn to build their pipelines, free up interprovincial trade, and diversify our markets. Bring on those tariffs, and run the hurry-up offence. We got oil, natural gas, plenty of minerals; most trees in the world, and did I forget to mention plenty of fresh water and agricultural land. We’ve just had stupid people running the government and even more stupid people voting them in. Trump’s the cure.
Carry on and fix your country if you can. Pretty doubtful at this point if you watch your voters. We don’t want or need Canada as a state, but might consider letting Alberta join the USA if they wanted. Some sensible folks out there. Stay in your lane and try to get better at being an independent country. Good luck.
Is it possible President Trump is not really angling to have Canada join the U.S. as a State, but he IS trying to goad it into a Nationalist, as opposed to Conmunist Government?
As a way to “shore up” the Northern flank of the U.S.?
Maybe.
Angling won’t help Canada. It’s the economy.
This
I’M sure your new PM is all over it. Bank of England that is backing you guys will step up as soon as they recover from bankruptcy.
Yep, Canada was truly a terrific country, then like elsewhere ( including the U.S.A.)
Liberalism arrived in the sixties and spread like a cancer through every institution.
Pierre Elliot Trudeau ( Justin’s old man) revved it up with making the country bi lingual and introducing a multi culturally diverse mantra on us.
Of course these “Liberals “ were all Marxists.
Cheers!
Same cancer has nearly sunk the USA, but by a miracle we got President Trump just in time. He’s surrounded himself with some pretty smart economics types who might just be able to pull us out of the quicksand, but only if we can keep the leftist loonies from gumming up the works.
Yep,
But for the Trump family just where would the U.S.A. be, and of course the hand of God?
Cheers!
The hand of God for sure.
Pierre Elliot Trudeau literally gave the middle finger to western Canadians while riding on the Governor Generals’ train car in 1982 with 10 year old Justin looking on. People were beside the tracks protesting inflation, unemployment and the new National Energy Program which devastated the Alberta energy sector. While traveling cross-country that train was pelted with vegetables, eggs and rocks by the same types of Canadians that watched the truckers drive by towards the Freedom Rally.
Unfortunately, most federal elections are decided before they even start counting the votes west of Ontario.
Yep.it is important we remind our children and grandchildren that.

Oil? Who has oil?
As of 17 Mar 2025
OSLO, NORWAY“The United States now holds the worlds largest recoverable oil reserve base “more than Saudi Arabia or Russia“ thanks to the development of unconventional resource plays.
Ranking nations by the most likely estimate for existing fields, discoveries and as-of-yet undiscovered fields (proved, probable. possible and undiscovered), the United States is at the top of the list with 264 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves, followed by Russia with 256 billion, Saudi Arabia with 212 billion, Canada with 167 billion, Iran with 143 billion, and Brazil with 120 billion (Table 1).
Remember the seventies when we were told that the world was running out of oil? It can never happen as long as the earth’s core remains burning. Perpetual replenishment is what we are blessed with. We live above a “deep hot biosphere”.
‘
Well now, yes, we are blessed with a deep hot biosphere, literally where life actually began, but oil is not created there.
Rather, hydrocarbons are a natural part of all the components that made up the earth when it first accreted, hardly a stretch to recognize as a valid conclusion when we can see hydrocarbon seas on Titan and in free space.
So, technically, it is finite, there will not ever be any more than our world was created with; but, yes, very light almost elemental hydrocarbons deep in the earth continue to well up, replenishing reservoirs that were depleted, and play a role in an amazing diversity of mineral and geological activity and even life itself.
This book will blow your paradigm!
If they are subjects of the crown of England, are they sovereign?
No.
At some point in time, no doubt President Trump will inform the new “Central Bank” Prime Minister of Canada that HE doesn’t have any cards.
President Trump holds the cards Ambassador Hillman.
That’s reality.
Leftists are the most recalcitrant of students.
IF, IF, we decide to take them, I do not want them to be a state. They should be a territory and the border crossings still need to require a passport. Kick out all the CCP moles and other illegals. I do not want them voting.
I honestly wish this didn’t even have to be discussed.
Yep. Not a good idea.
Not very neighborly of you, Lara.
“If Canada loses all of the one-way benefits it receives from its relationship with the United States, the Canadian system of government and economics collapses.”
Seems the Canadian leftist champagne lifestyle on a Kool-aid borrowed from the neighbors budget is coming to an end.
why would we want another large liberal state?
Not one, but ten.
China be watching like a hawk what Canada decides to do.
Everyone loves a bargain!
Yes, they are just hoping to swallow it up so they can surround us.
China has more problems as it is.
And……………..
Exactly; what happens next will tell the tale.
How about Alberta, Canada?

And we loose an England controlled country at our doorstep. This will further help the fall of the England dominance of Europe and whatever else they still control in the world, such as Australia and New Zealand. Let’s do this!
England has long been on the Roman Empire’s path to oblivion.
It really is very sad …
-and beyond inexcusable-
that bogus leaders have literally put a beautiful land and her people in such a ruinous state.
They behave and speak like spoiled and ungrateful adolescents
demanding to live rent and responsibility free (by their own rules) in their parent’s home;
“This is so unfair, mom and dad!!!
-You don’t respect me!! “
Same thing has been happening here in the US for decades.
Canada is an albatross on our beautiful United States & Mexico isn’t far behind in fact they may be equally bad in different capacities.
I fear that Canada is too prideful to understand the predicament they’re in. Their populace is under a false sense of understanding that they exist only because we’ve allowed them to exist by letting them hang onto our coat tails & in most cases dragging them along with us. We are their security blanket, & once they elect to remove it, because they believe they don’t need it (us), they’re going to be begging us to annex them….
I hope they come to their senses before that becomes theirs & our reality.
I think that’s Europe’s problem as well. These countries don’t seem to understand that all of their vaunted social programs and easy lifestyles are made possible by the US underwriting a huge portion of their defense and accepting uneven trade agreements.
Canadians are a strange breed. If “Latino” is an ethnic group that describes everyone south of the US-Mexico border, then surely the US and Canada are an ethnic group as well (North American? Anglo?). And most of them are incredibly nice people. At the same time, there seems to be some kind of low-key but ever-present resentment towards the US that manifests as this strange superiority complex. Every Canadian I’ve ever met has eventually told me some variation of “your country would be so much better off if you would listen to us.”
I don’t think what we’re seeing right now is a surge of nationalism. I think what we’re seeing is that resentment towards the US being weaponized against us and frankly, against the best interests of Canadians as well.
Agreed.
The excessive emotionalism demonstrated by operatives was off the charts abnormal, with highly manipulative ploys and emotive pleas.
In all the ops I’ve witnessed, that one has been the silliest sappiest ever, almost entirely fact free to boot.
It’s the British snobbery that’s been with them from day one. Had it not been for the smallpox epidemic during Benedict Arnold’s invasion of Canada during the Revolutionary War, Canada would have been at the least a territory of the USA.
I think the only way anybody’s going to learn at this point is a few hundred years of Islamic rule. Some will convert but most will be retained as a permanent ethnic underclass in their own countries.
It’s a choice for Canada right now between the Muslims or Hindus, or the USA.
The tariffs will surely accelerate it.
Some of the suppliers I’m dealing with in Canada are absorbing the tariff and not passing it along to the customer.
Check out this link for a statement from one Canadian machine manufacturer: https://www.onefinitycnc.com/post/an-important-message-about-potential-usa-tariffs
Canada’s government wants to continue the free cash infusion from Our Country that’s not only flat broke, but in the hole trillions of dollars.
They’re not “Tariffs”, they’re “Fairiffs”.
Where does she get the idea they “will never sell their sovereignty” .. I think y’all did that a long time ago she has no idea what entity actually controls their sovereignty.. of course neither does anyone else

Don’t take Fitzie’s job! He has nothing left if you do!!!
Fine, but they, Canadians, don’t get to vote.
ahhhh who’s IMAGE is on the Canadian dollar?
That one.

Yes

This is the same reality faced by Europe. Socialism can’t function in a vacuum. It’s not a workable form of government. Trump is going to force this. MAGA.
Socialism, aka Conmunism lite, ceases the minute they run out of OPM.
It’s come to this, we still have hockey.
And all of the smoke from Canadian wildfires. Welcome to the Hotel California. Oops, I meant Hotel Canada. You can check out any time you want but you can never leave.
If it became a 51st state of the USA, Canada would be a solid, anti gun blue state.
I had no idea 😲
I don’t want the morons of the east in Canada voting in US elections. However, making everything from Manitoba to the west part of the US would be great! Let the socialists in the east stew in what they have wrought for themselves.
Not quite.
I have lived in B.C. we are a communist Province.
Our Premier Eby is an avowed Commie and is destroying our beautiful province.
President Trump would do well to have Saskatchewan and Alberta “in the fold” Manitoba is Okay, but Winnipeg is a dump, and too close ( next door to Ontario)
West coast of Canada is about the same politically as west coast of US, but maybe more East Asians. The Prairie Provinces are more conservative. Maritimes I think are more dependent on the federal government for support. Then you have Ontario and Quebec with unique situation and finally all the indigenous peoples which I don’t think you really want to get involved with.
As the northern sea route becomes available due to climate change control of the arctic will be key.
Sphere of Influence.
Predictions of pole shift?
Did you really mean that last sentence, or forget the /S?
Let’s call it weather and be done with it.
Thats a lot better.
👍👍
Climate change?? Really? Climate change?
They can be a territory but not a state. Canadians are incompatible with the US way of life.
Even Jordan Peterson is way off then he describes American culture and politics.
Peterson is merging on the right track.
Not holding out much hope, because we’re watching politicians, but it would be such a pleasant surprise for a Canadian politician coming up with a third way, a unique solution that would work for both Canadian full sovereignty (a complete break from the UK and independently positioned to work with the USA) and resolve any differences between the US-Canada positions, on stopping fentanyl and having a true fair trade that benefits both sides, in a good healthy neighborly relationship.
Are there any Canadians on the horizon that would be akin to having an outlook along the lines of our America First or the UK’s very own Brexit potentials?
Now sure would be a time for a someone with a unique, workable solution because there’s no way Canadians want to be a 51st State and I haven’t heard of any one here in the US, other than President Trump, that wants it to be our 51st State.
Sure there are many ways, but the best way is to allow the recipients of the final solution to have their say. Take a damned vote of the population so that they can have a voice in their future. Just make absolutely clear an honest vote.
This is what they will be doing in their national elections; I’m curious to see what candidates step up to the plate as I believe the man who stepped in to complete Trudeau’s term will have too much sunlight for him to last as a viable candidate.
I don’t know what you mean by “final solution” as that has a lot of context so interesting phrase.
My understanding is that the national elections must be held sometime between June and October of this year, so we will know soon enough what the Canadian citizens want.
Our small business had a lot of good working relationships with the Canadian companies that came here to do various contracts (mining industry) and we made made great long time friends (older, so have since passed away) and I have only good wishes for Canadians and the task in front of them.
It’s not going to be easy and, just as in Australia both, during the Covid years, we saw, along within our own country, just how power-hungry their politicians, and even local police and town mayors got the power bug and there is a lot we all have to overcome, anger, betrayal, and then there’s the brainwashed that saw nothing wrong with the random lockups and banking tricks.
It’s a rare grace period all our western nations have right now – to actually decide what comes next, world war or a unique new approach to national interactions. And no, I’m not a “bleeding heart” but someone who knows, in real life, how evil and hard things can get so prefer, as President Trump does, peace – that is the prize and Canadians are confronted with a real task, things are different, the world is different, and they are being tasked to look at themselves, their own government and decide what to do. We did, we chose to make America great again.
First things first:
PDJT has multiple arrows in his quiver….
With the very biggest one being to put an economic choke hold through tariffs on the CCP and its grip on our politicians and every facet of our lives.
The next few months will be very interesting to see how all of this plays out.
Coming:
Reality versus WEF puppet Carney et al
Great article. This is why I always ask the question.. what does Canada have that I need or want. It was answered in this article. They make nothing.
Nothing….we can get our maple syrup from Vermont.
As far as adult beverages…Kentucky Bourbon is good….and so are the Tennessee products.
Yes, they have nothing but over forty million human beings with everyday needs and talents as you and I have. Thats all.
Canada has no sovereignty. They are a captive nation of the WEF. (One of many such captives.)
What Trudeau, Hillman, Freeland, et. al are actually trying to protect is the WEF’s trans-national sovereignty above all nations everywhere. (aka globalist world empire.)
You nailed it
As of right now, my expectations is that Canada will break apart. The nation of Queontario can then sit there and play games with itself.
Does Canada collapse, or is it really the established political class in Canada? I’m okay with the latter, same as I am in the United States and other places around the world Trump can exert his will. The Canadian government is a pretending one, and we need it to stop and be a worthy ally to the United States. We must dominate Mexico, because as proud as Mexicans can be, they have always been moribund. It’s time to put our house in order, and with strong allies in North and South America, make our hemisphere strong. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze with the EU. They’ll weaken us with their internecine squabbles while China plays the long game.
While she is advocating for Canadian interests abroad, I assume her husband is at home breastfeeding their children.
LMAO ion that one. Seems highly likely from where I sit tonight.
How it started…
.
.
.
.
.
How it’s going….
I’m surprised that Trudeau did not try to join Cuba.
Trump has got to stop this talk of Canada as the 51st state. It is fully deranged. Something like 85% to 90% of Canadians want to continue as a separate nation. Hence, union could never happen absent a war of conquest and suppression on the part of the United States. Is that the United States any of us want to live in?
And would we want Canadians voting in American elections? Their whole political spectrum is to the left of ours, barely even overlapping. Politically it would be like adding another California to the union, making it almost impossible for a Republican to be elected to the presidency.
This is nuts. Maybe it was funny at first, but the joke has grown stale.
Well, we failed twice trying to take over Canada. Maybe third time’s the charm.
It was not said as a joke, but as a hard slap in the face, or glass of ice water in the face, reality check.
And, what have we seen already, as results?
A unifying of Canadians, where before there was division, and a NATIONALIST feeling, which can in time contest the current corrupt Globullusts.
and President Trump will stop, when a new Canada emerges, that is the kind of partner we want on our Northern border…
Canada will never self-direct itself. The tariffs are meant to be serious, and Canada will go bankrupt and eventually be broken up to become 50 States of the USA. Trump is on a roll.
Yes to the seriousness of the tariffs and an absolute yes to PDJT.
Canada is an egg that is soon going to be tested.
PDJT has a global vision to use economics to kneecap the WEF cabal and the CCP’s long march to world domination.
Canada, who has long resided comfortably in the armpit of the US of A, will now see for itself how standing up to this Truth, is going to work out for us
I agree. I really don’t understand President Trump when it comes to annexing Canada. As IF the US didn’t enough on its plate already.
There is a song “Take Off to the Great White North” which is a sarcastic commentary about Canada. I don’t want it. Does anyone know if President Trump has a food taster?
Relax, Trump knows what he’s doing.
At this point it’s either the US or China. Which would you prefer?
Duh.
Liz is right.
There are far too many indoctrinated Canadians here who just don’t WANT to see all the Marxist infiltration in our governments and our institutions.
Maybe things will change when they can’t afford their pub nights out to watch football
Trump will eventually trump Canada into submission. Time in not on their side.
“Deranged?”
Forgive me for commenting twice, but I just noticed that Ambassador Hillman’s lipstick is tying, but failing, to conceal a ferocious herpes sore on her lower lip.
This suggests all manner of things about her, and her current client (the Canadian government.)
Sad. Many such cases.
Herpes can manifest thru stress.
I thought she did well in her interview.
Canada, as a whole, seems to be trying to calm down the rhetoric with the US, after their recent meeting with Lutnick.
Good try, but no cigar.
I also assumed Canada was economically strong. I had no idea how fragile their economy is until all of this came up.

Trump knew.
Every story, every comment, should finish with, “and the CIA still controls the USA government”.
Not to mention who controls the CIA.
FOR NOW.
It’s a mistake to analyse this issue on a political opinion level, it’s a geostrategic issue. Trump wants Canada apart from Ontario and Quebec because that plus Greenland plus what’s left in the US = mineral wealth equivalent to Russia + Greenland gives the US strategic overview of the NorthWest Artic trade route Russia has been building in the same way the Houti’s have a strategic overview of the Bab el-Mandeb strait and the Iranians have a strategic overview of the Strait of Hormuz.
That’s why Trump is doing this. Canadian people like all people will follow their own self-interest which means money, usually, and eventually Trump will get around to explaining how Canadians minus Ontario and Quebec can be so much better off if they split Canada and divide it up between the US and Europe.
At the same time this screws the UK and France in terms of its wealthiest most resource-rich remaining colonial possession right at the same time Europe is going to be going through economic paroxysms right when it needs every penny it can get.
That’s the context of what’s going on on a day to day basis as this plan takes hold in people’s minds. If I was you, I’d be bearing this in mind as the end game every time Trump plays another move in this particular game in the context of The Great Game.
Not bad….”See the whole board” ,…pretty much everything President Trump is doing, is all related in a mosaic.
People looking at his endeavors in isolation, will only see chaos…
Great shame (for our children) most Western sheeple can’t even read a map, let alone a balance sheet, ain’t it.
Says a lot about the deliberate destruction of our education system, which says a lot about our political leadership here in the West, last 100 or so years, don’t it.
A lot of Canadas mineral resources- especially metals- are in Ontario and Quebec. Plus the hydroelectricity that is integrated with the Northeast US grid.
Excellent analysis.
Are there NO pieces of land in the Arctic that the Canadians would be willing to sell or rent to the US?
Could they part with one large frozen island?
Ellesmere Island is pretty big, and Prince Patrick & Banks Islands are a bit disconnected from other western ones.
It doesn’t look like it’s all Nunavut-protected cultural land.
I’m guessing the US wants military bases, rare-earth mineral prospecting, & maybe a place to test-out inter-planetary excavation techniques under severe temperatures.
Maybe this is really where Trump senses an opportunity developing.
Make Alberta the 51st state and let Quebec and Toronto survive on their own.
Well, in terms of how she presents, a vast improvement over Freeland, thats for sure.
And, its understandable that no government or citisens would be eager to admit their country is dependant on another, …sometimes reality sucks, and sometimes it bites,…thats why thevhuman mind developed “Denial, that river in Exypt”.
My question is, can ALMOST the same thing be said about the big 3 EU countries?
Given they foolishly went to green energy, and then started a war with their major energy supplier, and so have high energy costs, and their manufacturing companies are about to face tariffs to sell in the U.S., they are about to hear “that great sucking sound” as Seimens, Mercedes, etc. move their manufacturing here.
Couple that with President Trump making it clear they pony up on defence spending, he is cutting off their source of Other Peoples Money they depend on to buy their citisens with free medical, generous pensions, etc.
What happens when the flood of $ stops?
It all boils down to the survival of the fittest.
Margaret Thatcher once said, “The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”
What she didn’t say is that the way those socialists run out of other people’s money is by promoting boondoggles that don’t work in the real world…like for instance mandating electric cars in frozen Winnipeg where even gas-powered cars must be hooked up to municipal heaters in the winter or they won’t start.
The Canadian trial balloon of Build Back Better, Green New Deal, socialized medicine for everyone except the people who need it, open border socialism floated by Klaus Schwab’s fav Pinocchio-puppet-protege’, Justin Trudeau, is on the verge of sinking like a Led Zeppelin…or worse, going down in flames like the Hindenburg!
Our FA neighbors in the Great White North are rapidly finding out that it takes more than hot air to keep an economy aloft and Trump’s tariffs are going to hasten the non-pretending reality setting in!
In a year’s time, all the Hollywood celebs who fled to Canada because of Trump will be quietly wending their way south again, while ordinary Canadians too poor to make the move will be petitioning what’s left of their leftest government in Ontario to beg Trump for the privilege of being the 51st U.S. state!
“The US has the lowest trade barriers of all G20 countries”…
Operation: Canadian Bacon
The reason this arose was when Turdeau visited Mar A Lago to complain about the tariffs, he told Pres Trump that Canada would cease to exist with these tariffs. Then PDJT replied, Ok become the 51st state!
So soy boy runs back to Canada to confer with his WEF masters and voila! Carney –unelected-is the new premier.
I feel for the citizens who are in for some tough times ahead, but not for the “leaders” who got them into this mess. On the other hand they voted themselves into it. Socialism is like a noose slowly tightening, choking the very life out of a nation, and once it gains power is nearly impossible to escape. And sadly, I see so many people in this nation both young and old who would foolishly pull us down that same path.
There but for the grace of God..
It would be the end of MAGA if Canada became the 51st state. Canadians fundamentally view government differently than Americans. It is not a self reliant country. We would be net importing 20 million Democrat voters in an instant if they were to join our union.. . Which they will not. Keep as a vassal State.
Not really. Canada has ten provinces that could petition for Statehood, and over the acceptance stage by the US voters, much migration and interloping of political aversions would balance out. A new melting pot, sort of speak.
The tariffs are going to cause a rift, and Canadians are going to push for massive change.
