WASHINGTON – In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made public legally protected whistleblower disclosures showing the FBI, as part of its Arctic Frost investigation, acquired the government cell phones of President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence, among other government officials. FBI agents used taxpayer dollars to crisscross the country and conduct dozens of interviews in support of the political probe.
The unclassified FBI records convey the alarming scope and speed of the FBI’s 2022 investigation of President Trump, which they dubbed “Operation Arctic Frost.” The investigation – launched by anti-Trump FBI agent Timothy Thibault in a breach of FBI protocol – formed the basis of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump. Upon opening the investigation, Thibault vowed it would be “prioritized over all others in the Branch” and commented that “it frankly took too long for us to open this [investigation].”
“Sunshine is the best disinfectant,” the chairmen wrote to Bondi and Patel. “The American people deserve to know the complete extent of the corruption within the DOJ and FBI that led to the investigation into President Trump. We are making this information public for purposes of public accountability and to provide specific examples of past behavior at your institutions that must not be repeated. Quite simply, the public has a right to know what happened in Arctic Frost and, based on what we’ve exposed to date, the American public deserves better from its law enforcement agencies. It is important that every individual at your agencies maintains the highest level of professionalism, and does not allow political bias to motivate or guide their investigative work.”

I agree. it is a process. I also recall saying the same thing with Durham. I wrote it several times. Durham hired 9 (NINE) investigators/prosecutors to deal with the obvious criminal activity within the FBI. That’s 9 so called prosecutors to investigate crossfire hurricane and other criminal operations. Just nine. I was not fooled. I knew it would go no where. It’s like watching pizza boxes stacked up to the third floor of the Pentagon, just two days before “shock and awe”. There were signs everywhere. With Durham, there were also signs and the low number of prosecutors was easy to establish how this “investigation” would go. no where! He did manage to prosecute that one guy who made a senator nervous with online chatter. so there is that. And I think he got local law enforcement to give out a heavy fine for someone who took his parking spot. So, there’s that too.

Until I see about 1,000-3,000 dedicated purpose scoped investigators and prosecutors and about 15 special prosecutors scoped out, I am pretty sure we can all understand what to expect.

Well, on the other hand, what concerns me is what I DON’T see, which is a common practice in nearly all criminal investigations, and that would be the performing of initial arrests of certain individual characters who are THEN pressured, in turn, to provide further evidence by testifying against their “co-conspirators/crime partners.” Arrest also help sway the public perception that the prosecutors are “doing their job.” It happens a 1000 times a day, but here and now? Crickets.
So it does make one wonder…

Bondi’s conduct related to the Zimmerman case throws a shroud of healthy skepticism over anything in which she involves herself. A reasonable but rebutable presumption that she will fall short in the AG role seems wise. Only by her conduct might she overcome the presumption of incompetence or foul motive. Time will tell, at least in my mind.

Yes, and let’s not forget Christopher Wray was at the helm of the FBI. It seems Elon recently said something like “what’s the purpose of root cause analysis & input if no actionable solution is implemented.” The Justice system is also bureaucratic and used to slow reform down. It seems we are always in a 6-8 year cycle to get resolution or reform or some sort of action. And by then, the key players in wrongdoing are long gone …. and voters have become complacent. One of the reasons a coverup is such a problem “so much worse than the original crime” is because once its a CONSPIRACY (2 or more, working in concert) to cover up the original crime, be it thru suppression/destruction of evidence, witness intimidation, whatever it doesn’t matter that the Statute on the ORIGINAL crime runs out, so long as the players continue to do sffirmative acts to further the goal of the conspiracy, its an ongoing crime, no statute and every affirmative act can be a seperate charge, which can easily add up to 100’s of years, and which leads conspirators to turn on

With investigators and prosecutors who were interested in investigating and prosecuting, these cases could break wide open….but first they need to develop enough hard evidence to start the ball rolling.
there are two basic reasons why people don’t get motivated to solve crimes, or to get involved in any way.
a. there is no personal gain. “it’s not my problem…what would I get out of it anyway?” this is basic to human nature.
b. there is a certain risk. Success and or failure in the effort can bring unwanted attention and risks. DC people in particular are quite aware of this threat. To get involved especially against the most powerful law enforcement agency and named people who have very real connections both politically and FINANCIALLY, are not to be casually messed around with. This is the risk.
now lets apply these two basic reasons for inaction to bondi…to patel.
both were appointed by President Trump. They are already in and their mission is well understood. Those people they will investigate have long since drawn plans to protect themselves. We have to understand that is the reality. Being in this position is both a incredible responsibility, but it is also probably the most dangerous kind. You act, you get the tail of the tiger. You refuse and give excuses, and no one bothers you. I don’t see anyone bothering bondi. I don’t see Patel nervous at all. And more important, neither of these two people have deep connections withing the secret police spy state. They are essentially by themselves, isolated and alone. Not a particularly enviable position to be in with the great expectations (realistic or not) they can actually move the mountains needed. I can safely evaluate Tulsi in the same way. These are human beings. No super powers. No battle hardened seasoned warriors at their side. They rode in on a wave of confidence. But traveled alone.
Compare this to LTGEN Flynn for a moment. He was WELL CONNECTED. Have LEAGUE OF OPERATORS IN PLACE TO ASSIST HIM TO ADVISE THE PRESIDENT. And they tool zero time removing him. Thanks MIKE DENCE< YOU EFFING EFF FACE!
here is the drill…and I think most of us noticed it. there wasn’t the kind of pushback in congress to have these people in place we had expected. Sure, some hand waving and questionable tactics and all of the typical rhetoric but in the end, they were confirmed. Likewise, there is no enemy forces trying to get them removed either.
think about this how you would imagine “POWER IS MANAGED IN DC”…
it’s not reasonable to believe these people don’t understand the situation they are now in. How they can manage to do what WE expect out of them, isn’t impossible, but it will take more than just a few phone calls. It will require each of these people to determine a way to forge new connections and expand their forces to include people within and outside of their respective agencies to have common cause and begin. Perhaps this is what is happening . I pray this is true. It IS certainly too soon to expect that to materialize into grand jury and investigations. You need a LOT OF PEOPLE to get that happening, even for just one particular case of corruption. And we certainly KNOW there are perhaps dozen, hundreds? of particularly unique instances of corruption and criminal actions. How to accomplish even of them of them requires more than just energy of words. It requires the leader to manage through a power that is rare in this world. Not personal power. Not professional power. Not Political power.
IT’S CALLED MORAL POWER. The ability to organize and lead by showing there is a greater moral principle.
I am not persuaded at this time, any of these three can muster the kind of moral power that will attract and assemble the kind of seasoned warriors. They will have to explore other options.
One of those options might actually be entertaining the notion that people who join in will get paid handsomely. Like a reward system. This is how “we did it” in Iraq. A local militant mullah would happily disclose the names and location of terror operators and insurrectionist, if you gave him a sack full of cash..often it was hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I recall reading some chapters of Sidney Powell’s book “license to lie”. One particular chapter detailed how the DOJ has established a reward system for successful prosecutions. You win a case, you get a bonus. It shocked me at the time to realize how the DOJ had become nothing more than a camp for mercenaries who would do ANYTHING to get a conviction. It’s how you make lots of money. I think she spotlighted Weissman as the number one earner of that program. He would take on these massive highly politicized cases, run rough shod over all manner of DOJ rules that were ignored but were in place (at least on paper) to protect the rights of defendants. Remember that in Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation of the Russian Collusion Hoax the payments for the fabricated dossier were funneled through Perkins Coie Law firm. Both Durham and the federal judge declared that all testimony, correspondence and documents in the possession of Perkins Coie were protected by attorney-client privilege in spite of the fact that participation in the crime, which was evident by Perkins Coie, voided the attorney-client privilege.
On the other hand, in the cases involving President Trump, in which there were never any real crimes, federal judges stripped away attorney-client privilege and Presidential Immunity like taking candy from a baby.
DC Judge Beryl Howell was at the forefront of these actions. One of the methods used by Jack Smith was to simply charge President Trump’s lawyers as accomplices in the fabricated crime which the federal judges used as the excuse to get the protected documents and testimony. In Durham’s investigation Perkin Coie was not only an accomplice but the avenue in which the illegal payments were laundered!
Sen. Grassley has always been about protecting whistleblowers so this disclosure is in keeping with his intended works and Sen. Johnson really did step up during the aftermath of the forced injections and the horrendous cost in lives lost and permanently damaged by those same injections, so seeing him team up with Sen. Grassley shows he too is willing to not follow party lines.
The only thought I have is ‘why now?’ is this simply a means to keep both Blondie and Patel preoccupied in witch hunts within their departments so the other bureaucrats within their respective agencies can be left alone to continue the spying and politicization of the agencies – or
is this real intents by these Senators to assist, and let Blondie and Patel know they will have congressional backing to weed out all politicization bureaucrats from their respective departments?
Guess we wait and see, and hopefully this is a step to assist in ending the weaponization so that if these two dig deep enough they can provide the tools to congress so that Congress may be able to justify enacting a new law that ends the entire Patriot Act and all the downstream avenues for abuse that act enabled.
