I suspect that the moment someone takes the positions which Bondi and Patel now have, all their focus goes to the “expected”, with no energy left for dealing with the abuse.
For the latter: It’s seeming that some DOGE-equivalent is needed to clean up the DOJ. Not someone now within the organizations, and certainly no useless “special prosecutor” either. Rather, some outside source of fresh energy, with coverage from PDJT and VPV, to reveal fully what was afoot and to take the appropriate action. Perhaps a Matt Gaetz, or equivalent.

Until investigations reveal evidence, all of the abuses and waste uncovered by DOGE are not considered criminal.

Because there IS a difference between violent crime and petty theft. It has to do with priorities and whether people are in danger from threats of violence. The FBI was never designed for lesser crimes that local law enforcement is able to handle on their own. If the FBI is to exist, it needs to return to its original purpose. Can that be done? I do not know.

All of the DOJ and FBI have quite a bit on their plates, but it seems thus far they are picky eaters.
There is something special about violent crime. If you do not get the violence under control first, then everything else runs amok and every petty little bully gets away with all sorts of things. Like broken windows on steroids.
Here is a sad example. I recently heard the story of a courageous woman who fought very hard to get elected to a corrupt union. She succeeded, refused to let the corrupt union lawyers and old thugs push her around, and was ‘recalled’ on slanderous fake claims. Along the way, in a hotel at a meeting, one of the thugs attacked her and threw her to the ground, threatening her. She complained to the union lawyers, who told her they looked into it and unfortunately, the videotapes had been destroyed. Turned out they were destroyed by the union lawyers. And that was the end of it ! No going to the police, no going to federal law enforcement for intimidating a union election, no hope from the U.S. Attorney or D.A.’s office. Same union guys actually broke the arm of one guy – on federal property ! No repercussions. The thousands of good guys who would like to stand up for the small corruption they see in everyday life are intimidated because they know that raw violence will go unchecked. You have to stop the violence first – then people will date to speak up and demand more.
The great disconnect I see in our society is not left/right, conservative/liberal but between those very powerful and sheltered folks in the comfortable neighborhoods who have no idea how the thuggery and corruption really works, and those who completely get the reality. Get the dangerous violent guys out of our lives first. It is correctly a top priority.
That’s a breath of fresh air.

I’m willing to give Pam Patel the benefit of the doubt and understand that they might need more time, but I am starting to get a sinking feeling that there will be no real justice for the Deep State perps that committed so many crimes since the rise of Trump (and even further back).
If Trump lets everyone off the hook, AGAIN, then they will simply wait out his term and strike again in 2029. There is no guarantee that someone loyal to Trump will win the 2028 election, with rampant voter fraud still a major issue to deal with.
