Unfortunately, Zoom… seems that many government, or government-adjacent, corporations are now being staffed by temporary worker / contract employee agencies owned by India. Ran into that with a local aerospace company when someone tried to hire me for a 12+ CTH (depending on performance) position for an open-ended temp job with no benefits. Reviewing the company on Glassdoor – it was revealed they were not “American-friendly” with deference given to Indian associates. Emails to HR take one week to respond because it was off-shored.. to you guessed it… India.
We need to remove the foreign interference in the American labor force. Interestingly Elon Musk stated that he can’t hire illegal aliens for SpaceX due to the sensitive nature of the work they do, yet they were sued by the Biden administration for not hiring illegals. His contracts, which are considered defense contracts, specifically forbid it.
However, how many employers, specifically aerospace companies, are circumventing that by open-ended contract / temporary workers?

The Times is worried about Trump abusing the presidential pardon? If Trump were selling pardons at a card table at Mar-a-Lago like merch at comic con, it could not compare to the lawlessness of Biden using the pardon power to repeal federal law. With the stroke of a pen, the dementia patient — or whomever was functioning as president — thumbed his nose at the legislative and judicial branches, the U.S. Code, his own law enforcement officers, the federal judiciary, and, most of all, citizens voting in a democracy (that thing that dies in darkness).

The project of holding 30,000 illegal immigrants in Guantanamo has apparently been curtailed.
We can only pray that it is being emptied to allow room for mass arrests of all those that have been stealing government funds.

Under current law, monies in a Health Savings Account are only eligible for withdraw to cover “out of pocket” costs. This does not include the largest cost, insurance premiums themselves.
This is a dumb restriction in the modern era. People may bounce from a job with employee sponsored health care to one without. Why shouldn’t a taxpayer be able to use excess savings in an HSA to cover premiums?
Or if someone wanted to retire prior to being Medicare eligible, why shouldn’t they be able to use their HSA to pay for insurance premiums?
Let’s hope the One Big Bill fixes this.
