President Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff holds a very interesting press availability outside the White House.
The primary topic was the Trump administration position on the release of hostages from Hamas. However, Mr Witkoff confirms the USA delegation will be traveling to Riyad, Saudi Arabia, for a meeting with Ukraine officials.
Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war – Special envoy Steve Witkoff confirms that planning is underway for a meeting with President Zelenskyy’s team. Witkoff, will be part of the U.S. delegation alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz.
Witkoff also said another visit by Zelenskyy to Washington could still come. “There is a path back, and President Zelenskyy has demonstrated that he is intent on that good faith path back,” he said.

You develop relationships with them that cannot be made in a video chat. There are things that just cannot be conveyed in video conferences. You can’t shake hands. You can’t sit at a table to share a meal and receive hospitality from your hosts, and this is so important in many cultures, especially in the Middle East, where they are eager to do that. Americans need to understand that.

I am wondering what mineral deal that President Trump is hoping to sign with Zelensky since it appears that Zelensky has already signed a 100 year mineral and infrastructure deal with Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister. This deal is reported to have been signed 2 days before President Trump’s inauguration. Could it be that Zelensky and Starmer are playing President Trump? Just wondering.
If they were smart, they would release them, then any horrible actions by Israel afterwards would be seen for what they are.

Europeans are way more dependent on us than I thought. But this war machine needs to stop. They seem addicted to our war money and are going through withdrawal symptoms. Especially Meloni in Italy talking out the two sides of her mouth. Yes send troops, but no Italian troops. And, yes let’s get Ukraine into NATO via the backdoor. These countries have no armies to speak of, and it appears as if they need us funding their so called wars to remain solvent.
