DOGE’s Key Revelation: A Federal Budget Made Into a Maze Impervious to Reform
https://realclearwire.com/articles/2025/03/03/doges_key_revelation_a_federal_budget_made_into_a_maze_impervious_to_reform_1093963.html
As Elon Musk and his tech team urge their fellow Americans to become “domestic auditors” to help rein in federal spending, people have been encouraged to use the Treasury Department’s usaspending.gov website to identify and track government finance.
But usaspending.gov is wrong on the biggest picture, RealClearInvestigations found.
The total amount of spending across “all agencies,” as recorded at usaspending.gov, appears to be 50% higher than most experts interviewed for this article think it actually was.
In Fiscal Year 2024, for instance, the website pegs total spending at $9.7 trillion, when several experts said it was probably around $6.5 trillion. No one could explain the much bigger figure. Officials with usaspending.gov conceded to RCI that their totals were wrong and said the error, which shows up in similar fashion for the last five fiscal years would be fixed soon. They offered neither an explanation for their higher total nor an estimate of what it should be. Two weeks later, the erroneous figures remain.
Budget experts say the website’s seeming multi-trillion-dollar error illustrates a core challenge Musk and his colleagues at the Department of Government Efficiency face as they try to reduce Washington’s spending. In a twist on the classic Washington line, the problem is not just following the money but finding it in the first place. The federal government has become so big and so expensive that even experts have trouble navigating the morass of contracts, awards, grants, loans, and other items that have transformed the U.S. spreadsheet into a labyrinth pitted with dead ends and rabbit holes.
“When you see the process has become so arcane even I don’t claim these are real, hard numbers, then you know the process is definitely and irreparably FUBAR,” said David Ditch, using the acronym for “fouled up beyond all repair.” He spent years poring over federal budgets and spending at the conservative Heritage Foundation before moving this month to the Economic Policy Innovation Center.
The real existential threat to our independence, as individuals and as a country.
I just heard the Supremes allowed the Commie “judge” to clarify his order to unfreeze funds for “work already done” by NGOs..
For already completed work.
How can they have jurisdiction to interfere with foreign policy? Pres Trump / DOGE needs to demonstrate fraud – invalidates all past & future contract obligations. Audit all “already completed” work for compliance – verify the contract was met. to delay or not pay.
“It will be of little avail to the people, that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man, who knows what the law is to-day, can guess what it will be tomorrow.”–Alexander Hamilton
An insane, unwieldy labyrinth of fiscal plunder!
Also, there is the dilemma of people who are employed under certain titles with various agencies who are actually affiliated with CIA.
It isn’t merely the waste of $ and the attempt to identify how much and where it is going.
Attempts to identify & track numerous government employees – and who they are actually affiliated with is problematic.
“What is this oozing behemoth, this fibrous tumor, this monster of power and expense hatched from the simple human desire for civic order? How did an allegedly free people spawn a vast, rampant cuttlefish of dominion with its tentacles in every orifice of the body politic?”–P.J. O’Rourke
USG accounting is broken by decades of abuse. Attempts by DOGE to analyze this fiction will only produce fiction. Look at any USG report, lots of narrative little reality. Garbage in, garbage out.
At this stage about the only audit that can be done is a cashflow audit in an attempt to extract some meaning. At USG scale with all the interlocking agencies, NGO, foreign govt, etc this is almost impossible (likely by design). Enormous amounts of time can be wasted looking backwards to only confirm massive incompetence, deception, fraud which is already demonstrated. Just declare it broken. Let the AG pursue any fraud but move on.
Look forward and replace and simplify the systems. It is a multi year effort. This is where the real benefit to our country lies. Without this the game will continue.

It didn’t matter since they didn’t plan to have any more elections anyway.
Excellent point! Just replace obama every time President Trump mentioned demented, pedo Joe Biden in the most polite derogatory terms possible and that would be closer to the truth! The only decision Biden (really Dr Jill 🤣) made during 4 years was to endorse Camel La quickly before obama could get Susan Rice the nomination! JMO
Well, she also decided to shoot first, ask voters later.

To crack down on Pentagon spending, the Defense Department adopted a program in 2015 to track spending on lodging and entertainment. But so few officials used the Visa government travel charge card that nearly 4 million card transactions worth $1.2 billion couldn’t be reviewed in enough detail to check for misuse, abuse, and fraud, the Pentagon’s Office of Inspector General said last month…
The Pentagon’s accounting mess reflects financial disorder widespread in the executive branch. In what has become an almost annual event, the Government Accountability Office reported last month that it “was unable to provide an opinion on the reliability of the federal government’s consolidated financial statements for fiscal year 2024 and 2023.” As it has in previous cycles, it stressed “the need to address serious deficiencies in federal financial management and address the federal government’s unsustainable long-term fiscal path.”

Top Trump Official Overseeing Migrant Children Program Removed
The top Trump administration official overseeing the care of unaccompanied migrant children was abruptly removed on Tuesday, an email reviewed by Reuters showed.
Mellissa Harper, the acting director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, told staff in the email that she was informed on Tuesday that her detail to the agency had been terminated.
Harper’s message did not explain the decision. Harper and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, ORR’s parent agency, did not respond to requests for comment.
https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/trump-official-migrant-children/2025/03/05/id/1201462/
Close the agency altogether.
I agree.
At best, they were a delivery service for people who came here illegaly themselves, or those who didn’t want the bother of going through the legal, safe channels for bringing the children here.
We all know by now what they were at worst.
PDJT now turning the thumb screws tighter on the nasty little green worm …
No more US intel for Ukraine and their war.
Trump deals Zelensky another blow as UK banned from sharing US intel with Ukraine
The US has blocked the UK from sharing its military intelligence with Ukraine, just one day after Donald Trump announced a pause in military aid to Kyiv. UK intelligence and military outlets have been told not to share Washington’s intelligence once called Rel UKR, or Releasbale to Ukraine.
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/2022697/uk-banned-us-intel-ukraine-donald-trump
No chance this will be followed by the dirty Brits. Just stop the 5 eyes silliness.
If the UK does that, with THIS President, they risk being shut off as well.
From his recent WH events, I suspect PDJT has had enough of the Europeans’ sneering nonsense.
What good has 5Lies wrought since the giddyup other than making the rest of the World sick of looking at US?
imo, the only way to stop it as directed by President Trump is for us not to share it with the UK either.
I heard this old song and it just seem to feel right this morning.
Read her bio. She was recruited by the CIA right out of school, which is their practice (mold them
as spooks before they acclimate to the real world). The fact that this deluded Dingbat was once doing intelligence work, supposedly in furtherance of US interests, should scare the hell out of us. . . . . . and the CIA is completely infested with people like this!
Plus, numerous people are scattered throughout other agencies and cannot be identified as actual employees of the CIA.
And throughout Media, obviously.
Make Intelligence Intelligent Again.
And I agreed to join and they stole the election for me.
💩
It is perfect and fitting that the CIA should give the rebuttal.

After aid to Israel became a hot topic,I read more about this, and I learned that Obama was behind it, and that many Israels would just as soon develop their own weapons as “buy” them from the United States.
No wonder they want our children to be math illiterate.
No wonder we are the ones going broke.
While everyone was distracted with Epstein files and the Zelensky meeting, the US silently sent another 3 billion to Israel.
Psalm 48
1 How great is the Lord! How much we should praise him. He lives upon Mount Zion in Jerusalem. 2 What a glorious sight! See Mount Zion rising north of the city high above the plains for all to see—Mount Zion, joy of all the earth, the residence of the great King.
They tried to make Ukraine the scales on which nations are judged. But Israel is that scale.
Israel was created because God loved Israel. America was created because we loved God. We are His covenant nations, founded in Him and inextricably linked, to the Glory of God!
We bless Your City, King Jesus. Amen!
Amen!
Stop all foreign aid. All of it. Not one red penny until the deficit is 0
“…the US silently sent another 3 billion to Israel.” Good. One of the few countries that deserve our aid.
Why? They have the capability to develop their own weapons. We’re paying them to buy them, not from us, but some company.
What does Ukraine do with aid? They buy weapons, and Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell have both told us most of the money stays here.
Kellogg:
“We have pretty good accounting where the money is going”
“We have put inspector generals on the ground in Ukraine & in here to track that money.
The idea that the money is sitting on the ground in a bank account in Ukraine is a myth.

Equating Ukraine with Israel is a shaky strawman.
Side Note – Israel does develop some of their own weapons. Some can be bought at American gun stores.
It is not. Two countries, we send aid to both to purchase weapons.
It’s okay when it’s Israel, because we like Israel, or something.
It is.
America sends some kind of aid to virtually every nation in the world; aid that usually diminishes America and strengthens our frenemies and enemies.
Israel deserves our support. It is okay with me when it’s Israel. I like Israel. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Frankly, I see no need to support Israel. Let them tax their citizens. They have been a country now for 75 years. Time to grow up and stand on your own. Need a loan or military backup, fine.
Same with the rest of the world. We shouldn’t have to pay our allies.
No money should leave this country while we are in debt and our citizens are in need.

Wow!!! – this from lefty CBS? These results must really be causing them fits of despair:
CBS News/YouGov Poll – After Trump’s Speech
– 77% support his plan to cut government waste and spending
– 77% back his immigration and border policies
– 76% approve of Trump’s speech
– 76% approve of removing congressmen who interrupted his speech
– 74% say his speech was presidential
– 73% support his stance on Russia and Ukraine
– 68% say it made them feel hopeful and proud
– 68% say he has a clear plan to tackle inflation
– 68% say he accurately described America’s crime crisis
– 63% say he focused on issues they care about
I suspect the results are even higher.
I will never trust CBS ever again.
Agreed.
But even with the results that CBS reported… this must be absolutely devastating to the liberals walking around.
77% support is massive. Beyond a mandate, actually, on these topics.
Hopefully, the Democrats continue to resist and fight against the position that PDJT has taken on these voter issues!!!
After President Trump’s SOTU address, the GOPe RINOs must feel more defeated than the dims. There will be no acceptance of the RINO’s spew of reaching across the isle and getting back to normal decorum. They have been removed from the body politics and are more irrelevant than ever. Because of the democrats theatrical performance, there is a definite “us or them” dichotomy and RINOs lose.
It is entirely predictable that many RINOs will quietly and subtly begin to slide toward the MAGA side of the Party. For most, it won’t be sudden – but little by little, they will join with PDJT.
They know where the gravy is. They are politicians and will be as slippery as needed. To be honest, we should welcome them. As Bongino would say, anything positive from them is a +1.
Just be aware that when the winds change, they will be first to go…
Miss Lindsey Graham is an outlier. His sudden about-face regarding Ukraine is strange. Not sure what is going on, but something happened with him behind the scenes, IMO.

Just one comment on President Trump’s speech last night. When he read the list of wasteful spending on absurd spending on DEI and promoting trannies worldwide and other unbelievable wasted spending the Democrats didn’t seem to have an objection or problem with the spending? So the greatest problem we have in America today is not inflation or a poor economy but Democrats. My guess they are working full time on how to rig/steal the 2026 midterm to take control of the House and end President Trump’s reforms!!! We can’t always count on too big to rig!!! JMO
We’ve talked about this here before, but what is news to me is that grok is deceptive in this case.
When I would try to find out more about the special loans being given to foreigners in my area, I would always get “I’m sure that other residents have suchprograms available to them as well”.
This was the difference between being able to have a house of your own at all, or to continue renting as rents went spiraling, for many Americans.
Also, certain third-worlders were given special immigration preference (chain immigration).
The Patels are given 300k loans exclusive to non whites to buy up the gas stations and hotels.
can I get the source for this? I wanna use it to win some of these arguments.
I don’t understand why anyone would use grok as a source.
I see it used more and more, and it can only tell you what somebody put into it.
It’s true that they don’t have access because they are Indian, AFAIK, but it isn’t true that they don’t have access to loans that citizens don’t, and this grok thing can’t tell the difference.

The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a 5-4 ruling this morning in Department of State vs AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition, here is a link to the pdf of the 9-page ruling:
https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a831_3135.pdf
Haven’t read it yet, waiting for the coffee to get in the cup, but according to the news the court is ordering the USAID money to be distributed but first the agencies, at the lower court level, must clarify what dollar amounts actually have to be paid (for work already done by those agencies, amounting to up to $2.0 billion) so perhaps this is still an ongoing situation where no checks are yet to be written?
Alito wrote the dissent which Thompson, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh agreed with.
This is for “work already completed”. I don’t have an issue with this.
I can be upset that USAID gave the contracts out for silly stuff. I can be upset that the level of fraud and waste is immense.
But, I am not upset that the Courts are ordering the Executive branch to pay the bills for contracts (as silly as they may have been) that have been completed.
Going forward… different story I hope…
WRONG it sets a precedent for follow on rulings and there were legitimate reasons to STOP those contracts (and the others recommended by DOGE) using reprogrammed money away from the DoD and other branches of the Government, which was authorized by CONGRESS UNDER the pretext of funding an authorized budget line items.
Alito’s dissent is right at the heart of this issue; and well worth reading.
I want to see what that agency does in divvying up the $2.0 billion – they have to show receipts before getting paid, is my understanding, so it will be fun to see those various groups within their glad-handing system fight amongst themselves for that money since that’s all they get.
There are about 100 lawsuits so let’s see what the White House does regarding this one ruling as that may give us insight into how the WH approaches the other lawsuits now that they have 4 justices in the Alito way of thinking may very well be a gift for making his dissent the majority opinion on the remaining lawsuits.
Alito’s dissent is good. I believe that he clearly lays out what the WH can do to ultimately stop these payments. Go line by line on each disputed contract and sue for “failure to deliver contracted services” or other infractions.
The small print is important here. Need receipts, proof of successful completion of tasks, etc. Find a reason to invalidate the contract and fight each one in Court.
To be honest, this might be too much effort though. Will take valuable resources months and months to fight to stop some of these payments. Probably would be best to just make these payments, as wasteful as they are, and move on.
We have bigger fish to fry and far more waste to find going forward.
“will take valuable resources months and months . . .” – if only AG Bondi could spend more time in the office than she does on her daily Fox News appearances that work might get done.
You called me WRONG, then you went on to argue a strawman.
I said that I don’t have issues with a Court ordering the government to pay a contract that has been fulfilled. You countered with:
I get that there is an argument that this should be argued line by line in a contracts dispute case in Court. I don’t disagree. That is for the DOJ to sue the recipient for “services not completed” or some other claim as a reason to stop the payment.
But, to just stop the payment without due process for each contract in court… not ok in my opinion.
But, you just keep calling posters WRONG, Doc. If strawman arguments work for you, enjoy.
Pres Trump / DOGE needs to demonstrate fraud – invalidates all past & future contract obligations. Audit all “already completed” work for compliance, verify the contract was met.
It seems to me the Supreme Court should have ruled that the judge didn’t have that power, and it should have gone back to lower courts as a contract payment dispute.
I’m no lawyer and not pretending to be an exprert.
Agreed, Clarion. That would have been a better judgement, in my non-lawyer opinion.
…for the “work already completed” like overthrowing the government of Hungary?
We can certainly question the stuff that our Government was funding! And, if laws were broken, let’s prosecute those involved!!!
Please don’t hear that I am ok with what Biden’s team and USAID were doing. I am NOT Ok with any of this.
All I am saying is that a valid contract must be honored if the work was done.
One can fight the details in Court – maybe prove that the NGO didn’t actually do what the contract required? IDK.
But, not paying what is contractually obligated is not legal.
Little Marco Rubio obviously has a bad case of the sads. I expect it is worse this morning after President Trump gave him a bump in the butt last night.
I expect him to be gone sooner rather than later.

WILDLY UNCONVENTIONAL PART 3: DOGE Targets the Pentagon Budget, the King of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse! (17:35)
Off Leash with Erik Prince

Prince: “I’ve said years ago a successful Trump presidency would be, the clearest indication would be a fall in real estate prices in the greater DC area and I’m proud to say the median home price has already fallen by $140,000 in the immediate DC area because the rats are fleeing the ship.”
Everyone – look at the details of what the DC court ordered the Federal government to do:
Pay the bill for contracted work that has already been completed.
Completed.
I actually agree with this court order and Supreme Court ruling.
The US government should pay the bills for stuff we asked for and the work was done.
One can argue all day whether or not we should have asked for certain things in the first place. One can also argue that maybe there was grift, fraud and waste and that we cannot prove if the work was actually completed to our satisfaction or if the vendor complied with all the fine print… but that is something that would need to be reviewed and acted upon line by line and through a contract dispute resolution process.
In conclusion, IMO, pay need to pay outstanding bills. That is all this is.
Yes; its simply contractual.
What complete work? Running ads in Africa or Ireland for trans??? Seriously. The comic book for South America trans is paid for with our tax $$? What are they talking about. The kickbacks to the legislators for hating Americans??
I agree that these contracts were just leftist/liberal garbage.
But, a contract is a contract.
Not agreeing with the purpose of the contract is generally not a legal reason to stop payment of an already fulfilled contract.
If the objectives within the contract were completed, it must be paid.
Read the dissent
From the dissent:
The District Court, however, failed to mention (much less reckon with) Bowen or Knudson before plowing ahead with its $2 billion order. Nor did it take account of our previous suggestion that the proper remedy for an agency’s recalcitrant failure to pay out may be to “seek specific sums already calculated” and “past due” in the Court of Federal Claims. Maine Community Health Options v. United States, 590 U. S. 296, 327 (2020); Bowen, 487 U. S., at 890, n. 13 (invoking the First Circuit’s suggestion that if an agency “‘persist[s] in withholding reimbursement for reasons inconsistent with our decision’” under the APA, the “‘remedy would be a suit for money past due under the Tucker Act in the Claims Court’”).
The District Court ordered the Government to “pay all invoices and letter of credit drawdown requests on all contracts” for pre-TRO work completed. App. to Application to Vacate Order 86a. That order encompasses more than just respondents, and the District Court offered no reason why universal relief to nonparties is appropriate here. [] And nobody has suggested that the Government is unable to identify respondents’ allegedly owed funds and pay out only to them. Limiting the scope of relief in that manner would be significant.
But the relief ordered is, quite simply, too extreme a response.
(bold face added)
I agree that the Supreme Court should have stuck to the Constitutional concerns – that is, a Lower Court should not be able to issue a TRO or nationwide injunction. The leftists have taken this rare event and turned it into a weapon that is destroying the separation of powers doctrine.
That is an entirely separate discussion, IMO, that needs to occur. I wasn’t tackling this issue here.
I was only commenting on the effective conclusion that the US Government needs to honor all the terms of the contracts that it executes. IMO, this is the correct path our government should take.
Otherwise, recipients of contracts might start to wonder if they will ever get paid. Change a President and all contracts get ripped up??? I’d hate to be someone who just worked for a year on something and have zero recourse…
I did read the dissent, btw. Thank you for re-printing a portion of it.
Your bold portion highlights what I have been saying. The legal method of invalidating or changing a contract’s terms is to sue in Court. Not just at the stroke of a pen by an executive, rather a lawsuit for each contract being disputed.
The US Government can be proactive and issue lawsuits claiming some deficiency in the NGO/recepients performance under the terms of all of these contracts. Each one needs a specific case, though.
But what happened is this: The US Government decided to not pay and proclaimed all these contracts obsolete. This is not legal.
Ignoring the obvious growing threat of nationwide injunctions/TROs and the dissolution of the separation of powers (which NEEDS to be resolved), the Courts have simply ruled that the USG must pay per terms of the contract.
IMO, this is the correct conclusion.
I would think that means “completed” according to the contract and the satisfaction of the United States Government!
“and that we cannot prove if the work was actually completed to our satisfaction or if the vendor complied with all the fine print”
Actually the government has multiple ways to prove the work was done according to the contract. There are all kinds of conditions in these contracts (the non-grift one that is) that the contractors must meet in order to be paid.
The outrage train seems to think USAID writes a check to these contractors and that’s the end of it. That is not how USG contracts work. Again I’m not including the grifts here. This is primarily to do with contractors who implemented programs that WERE in keeping with USAID’s mission. The same for the DoD.
And USAID mission is what? (Not the pretend mission or the mission when established but the current money-sucking mission?)
Exactly;
and is good reason to realize the grifters, on the right, need to keep people just as angry and confused as the grifters on the left, it’s the grifters livelihood, and
is why reading the actual rulings is so important for people to begin to take control over their own individual lives instead of being thrust from one emotional target to another.
Were the contracts fulfilled? Really? A million plus contract to read series of books in libraries? As in, where will the money actually go? Work completed? Contract fulfilled? Oh yes, pretend to finalize the money laundering. Not legit contracts by all exposed indications.
I agree! I absolutely agree that many of these contracts were just likely fronts for fraud, laundering, etc.
I am only stating that a contract must be honored. One cannot just abandon it without possible consequences. If the work has been “completed” (i.e., the recipient has sent an invoice), it must be paid within the terms of the contract.
If any of your suggestions are potentially valid (e.g., were they really fulfilled? or Is there evidence that the contract was invalid?), the US government must sue the recipient in Court.
Not paying is not a legal option until a Court allows the specific contract to be cancelled/invalidated.
Argue with Alito, et al:
https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a831_3135.pdf
I love Alito for sure. Not disagreeing with him actually.
But, using your simplified style of debate, argue this:
5-4
🙂
Seems to me, that there’s more than one ‘organization’ and they’ll all get a piece of that 2B. BTW, given what we know about USAID and how it was shelled out to liberal organizations, is it plausible that 1) this group ran their ads with their own funds and would be reimbursed afterward?……or 2) were given the money up front to run those ads?
ALITO, J., dissenting below:
Sovereign immunity bars “a suit by private parties seeking to impose a liability which must be paid from public funds in the . . . treasury.” But that is exactly what the District Court ordered here. “[T]he restrained defendants shall pay all invoices and letter of credit drawdown requests on all contracts for work completed prior to the entry of the Court’s TRO on February 13”).
Sovereign immunity thus appears to bar the sort of compensatory relief that the District Court ordered here.
That order encompasses more than just respondents, and the District Court offered no reason why universal relief to nonparties is appropriate here.
And nobody has suggested that the Government is unable to identify respondents’ ➜allegedly⬅︎ owed funds and pay out only to them. Limiting the scope of relief in that manner would be significant. Below, the Government represented respondents seek roughly $250 million—still a large figure, but a fraction of the $2 billion ordered.
The Government has represented that it would probably be unable to recover much of the money after it is paid because it would be quickly spent by the recipients or disbursed to third parties. Respondents did not credibly dispute this representation, and the District Court did not find that it is incorrect.
Interesting to watch this debate as there are two completely different things going on – and it seems people are conflating the two as if only one thing happened
One – the majority sent the case back to the lower court and ordered the lower court to order the group claiming they are owed money to prove it, who is owed and exactly how much.
The other thing is the dissent – that doesn’t cover the ruling of the majority but covers the impression of what the bad message the majority ruling sends to the lower courts.
Two completely – and unrelated – events packed into one case and am starting to think it’s possible that people have forgotten how to walk and chew gum at the same time.
This thing isn’t over by a long shot.
IMO the only way this stops if Pam & Kash and Bessent investigate what appears to be massive money laundering crimes and they use forensic financial investigators who can track the money through multiple washings.
Once they present the evidence of a conspiracy to fraud the government and the American people I think Roberts and Barrett change their tune.
Investigate and get the evidence to the American people.

Defy it, Mr. President.
It’s your Constitution, too.
To be clear, this is only for work already performed by contract. Not affecting payments for new work.
Laura Looner lies as much as the Legacy Media. Look at the details – as JustMe states above.
Four justices though the ruling was insane!
Yes; these four Justices are looking at the larger picture and personally see that the dissent is a fantastic gift, or piece of groundwork for the WH lawyers to use going forward.
I agree. I do believe this will pave the way in many ways.
In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Vance stated that a potential minerals deal with the US would provide Ukraine with a “better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years.”
Multiple British politicians have interpreted Vance’s dismissal as a veiled jibe at the UK and France. The US VP has been accused of “disrespecting” the British military, with even Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, a Trump ally, insisting that Vance was “wrong” and that the UK “stood by America” for 20 years in Afghanistan.
Key words: stood by
There was a Bushcrafter that I use to watch. He was a British Marine that showed signs of PTSD. He served in combat in the sand box. I may not like England as it is now but I will not disrespect that they did stand by us after the 911 attack and that their Marines made sacrifices for us.
Farage has been proving himself to be pretty squishy.

Los Angeles has endured enough. Once a city of hope, it’s now overrun with crime, chaos, and suffering. Today, we begin the effort to revive the City of Angels—for the people. First step: recalling Karen Bass.

She came through on Dobbs, but has since proven to be a one trick PHONY!
That just was for services already done. The groups that performed the services are entitled to be paid.
Trump can, and has apparently, cancelled almost all future services.
Context sure is important. TY for providing some.
I feel like the bigger question is what was the 2 billion dollars for? Was their actual work accomplished or was money just funneled to other non profits/entities. The taxpayer should have a right to know where the. money went and what was accomplished for 2 billion. Better uses of it would have been something like this..
According to recent reports, rebuilding the Baltimore Key Bridge (also known as the Francis Scott Key Bridge) is estimated to cost around $2 billion

What was different about this State of the Union? I can remember since Carter, each president talked about “bringing us together,” being “bipartisan,” “reaching across the aisle,” for example. Thats all over now.
Here, President Trump essentially explained that the Democrats took the country off a cliff, and they are irrelevant now. We are not going to work with them; we are going to work despite them. Is this the end of the Democratic Party?
If the Dems best ideas are mainly to lie, cheat, and steal to retain power, then the question becomes: “What are they smoking, to believe that will work?”

The democrats are the anti-women party.
Self loathing
is mental illness
Very much so. They value gender deviants over normal women, prefer the rights of rapists more than protecting women, and are working to replace parental rights with state school authority. They claim the right to vaccinate and “transition” a mother’s (and father’s) children socially and medically without knowledge or consent. The extent of their valuation of girls is that they are draft-able to die in Ukraine. I’m amazed that women have continued to support them, but I hear from behind the lines that many mothers are afraid to speak out publicly against the policies – such is the authoritarianism of the left.

Why do we give foreign aid to Egypt and Jordan?

“I Am Stunned” – SCOTUS Dissenters Rage As ‘Liberals’ Unfreeze $2BN USAID Foreign-Aid Payments
Mar 05, 2025
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/supreme-court-blocks-trumps-usaid-foreign-aid-freeze
In a 5-4 vote, The US Supreme Court refused to bolster President Donald Trump’s foreign-aid freeze, reinstating a lower court order that requires the quick disbursement of as much as $2 billion owed to contractors for already completed work.
Over four dissents, the justices rejected Trump’s request to toss out the trial court order, which affects money owed by the US Agency for International Development and State Department.
The dissent by Justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh was extremely strongly worded:
“Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars?
The answer to that question should be an emphatic “No,” but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise.
I am stunned.”
———
“Today, the Court makes a most unfortunate misstep that rewards an act of judicial hubris and imposes a $2 billion penalty on American taxpayers.
The District Court has made plain its frustration with the Government, and respondents raise serious concerns about nonpayment for completed work. But the relief ordered is, quite simply, too extreme a response.
A federal court has many tools to address a party’s supposed nonfeasance.
Self-aggrandizement of its jurisdiction is not one of them.”
Doesn’t a contract usually involve both parties providing….something?
Publish the contracts. What did the “completed work” consist of?
I suppose Trump could now withhold payment pending proof that the work contacted for was actually done. Probably some very interesting contracts there.
Exactly!
That’s not the point.
This is ALL about what a DISTRICT court is allowed to do at the NATIONAL level, a court CREATED BY CONGRESS and in this case acting AGAINST a coequal branch of government, the executive.
That’s why one of the dissenters is “stunned.” NATIONAL judicial power against the legislative and the executive branch is intended for SCOTUS, NOT by a court created by CONgress!
However true, that was not the case before the Supreme Court.
This is somewhat correct. But a new administration should be able to revalue the work that was approved based on FMV. I would be that $2B they didn’t meat FMV
How are District Judges as established by CONgress allowed to override a coequal branch of government, the Executive?
“Until very recently, federal judges were so reluctant to raise this Constitutional issue that they almost never issued such injunctions. They issued injunctions only for their own circuits and left it to the Supreme Court to resolve questions about nationwide application.
But nationwide injunctions in contentious cases have become more common recently, and it is likely that the Supreme Court will be forced to address whether inferior-court federal judges do in fact have nationwide authority.
I think it is quite unlikely that the Supreme Court will affirm this. [since oversight of NATIONAL issues is THEIR job – W]
I am not addressing here the question of whether I think Trump and DOGE’s authority to block Treasury payments should prevail. I am predicting that it almost certainly will prevail.” – Eric S Raymond
Warfare on Lawfare
Feb 10, 2025
https://www.kunstler.com/p/warfare-on-lawfare
Excerpt:
The DOJ under Pam Bondi can designate the US Solicitor General to petition the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) for certiorari — to expedite the resolution of this constitutional issue as to whether Mr. Trump, as chief executive, and his bona fide appointees, can carry out executive functions. The arguments against that appear to be weak.
It is the President’s duty to see that the laws are faithfully executed, meaning that the departments under him do their jobs correctly, which would give him inherent authority to audit and restructure agencies like USAID. Both judges Nichols and Engelmayer are arrogating executive and legislative functions on policy-making to themselves, triggering a separation-of-powers dispute that the SCOTUS must adjudicate promptly.
What matters most in these cases is that SCOTUS has an opportunity to put up new guardrails against the hijacking of the federal courts for the purpose of lawfare — that is, for political dirty-fighting under color-of-law. The law is slow-moving, arcane, and incomprehensible to most non-lawyer citizens and that is why the Party of Chaos has misused it so liberally.
“Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Barrett sided with the liberal members of the court.”

Souter In Roberts’ Clothing
by Ann Coulter
July 20, 2005

After pretending to consider various women and minorities for the Supreme Court these past few weeks, President Bush decided to disappoint all the groups he had just ginned up and nominate a white male.
So all we know about him for sure is that he can’t dance and he probably doesn’t know who Jay-Z is. Other than that, he is a blank slate. Tabula rasa. Big zippo. Nada. Oh, yeah … We also know he’s argued cases before the Supreme Court. Big deal; so has Larry Flynt’s attorney.
But unfortunately, other than that that, we don’t know much about John Roberts. Stealth nominees have never turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives. Never. Not ever.
[huge snip]
If the Senate were in Democrat hands, Roberts would be perfect. But why on earth would Bush waste a nomination on a person who is a complete blank slate when we have a majority in the Senate? We also have a majority in the House, state legislatures, state governorships, and have won five of the last seven presidential elections — seven of the last 10!
[huge snip]
Maybe Roberts will contravene the sordid history of “stealth nominees” and be the Scalia or Thomas that Bush promised us when he was asking for our votes. Or maybe he won’t. The Supreme Court shouldn’t be a game of Russian roulette.
The story of why she turned on President Trump so savagely has parallels to the Ukraine/Russia war.
When does provocation = justification?
If Thomas dissents, so do I.
BTW–I’m old enough to remember when the Court dismissed Stolen Elections based on “standing”. This inferior court lacked standing in the first instance.
And ALL USAID funding is stolen.
Is this true ❓🤔
True or not, it’s hilarious

Did anyone watch the interactions PDJT had with Congress as he was leaving the speech? There was someone at the very end that approached PDJT and said he needs to talk to him about “public buildings”. Wondered if anyone knew who that was. Nancy Mace throwing herself at PDJT was nauseating.
Here’s a link to the GSA’s list of non-core federal buildings and property list that will soon be itemizing the 443 properties to be auctioned:
https://www.gsa.gov/real-estate/real-estate-services/real-property-disposition/noncore-property-list
The list of properties to be auctioned is blank – NOTHING is on the list yet.
Lots of politicians complaining about the buildings to be auctioned – and they don’t know what buildings are actually going to be put on the list, they are putting the cart before the horse. It’s all they got.
Retired Magistrate here: I thought the photo of the head of Secret Service embracing the 13 year old young man with terminal brain cancer was a snapshot of what President Trump wants for the United States: Strength and protection tempered with compassion and love.
That was extremely touching.
It was so sweet; so nice to see; heartfelt.
THAT WAS ” A HONEST HUG ” !
BEAUTIFUL to Watch
I read on Truth Social that Sean Curran had said he would have protected PDJT inside the jail if the Dems had succeeded in their attempts to incarcerate him. I believe he is the right man for the job of Head of SS.
Yes. And the very things the Dems can never supply.
To coin a term from President Trump’s 1st debate during the 2016 Presidential debates … it’s 2 v1 as in Hillary Clinton + the “neutral” moderator vs President Trump in the debates.
The US Supreme Court is NOT going to uphold it’s ruling of the plenary powers of the President as is evident by their upholding the DC Court’s ruling that the President CANNOT stop payment to foreign contractors by USAID.
The President’s team argued on constitutional grounds of over reach and plenary powers, while the court upheld the President must obey the law written by CONGRESS concerning requirements for spending money. I expect the same verdict to be rendered when the Case of the fired Whistleblower Office head comes to before the the Chief Justice Roberts’ Roulette Wheel. This time it was Barrett’s turn to betray the Republic and Constitution (giving Roberts cover).
https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/supreme-court-donald-trump-payment/2025/03/05/id/1201488/
It is devolving back to 2017: 2 v 1 … Congress and Judicial vs the Office of the President and his allies in the Executive Branch.
My fear is that this strengthens the resolve of the neverTrumpers in Congress as well as sway the feeble minded like Mike Johnson to not support the President.
As for the verdict in the case noted, the Solicitor General is going to have to back up, read the Congressional Law and argue per the requirements of; incompetence, fraud, waste and abuse written by Congress into the law. Plus, in the case of “stopping use of funds”, the Solicitor General is going to have INCLUDE arguments per the new Federal court standards written into law by Federal Courts 2017-2020 of “Financial Impact’ AND “INTENT”. If she wants a chance to win, the Solicitor General is going to have use Congress’ own words against them. If the Solicitor General uses Congress’ own criteria, this creates a dilemma for the Roberts’ Roulette wheel … repeal the congressional laws they upheld or rule on evidence that supports the President’s actions.
Not to put too fine a point on it but this does kind of disprove the thought that the Solicitor General has any authority within the Judicial Branch or Government in general other than to act as the lawyer for the Office of the President.
The Solicitor General represents the United States in SCOTUS.
The Office of the President would likely be represented by White House Counsel or someone else.
I do not agree with you because currently REALITY is that the Roberts’ Court and Federal Courts in General are acting as if The Office of the President and the US are one in the same as long as President Trump is in office.
At this point in time: REALITY does not equal your accurate technical definitions.
This is the reason for the people President Trump put in place for those two offices.
Also, there are folks who believe here that the Solicitor general has some sort of magic wand authority to that supersedes the Supreme Court.
No, I said the SG represents the US. It is an office of appellate lawyers who file briefs and argue before SCOTUS. It can also weigh in as an amicus in a case in which the US is not a party, but which outcome could have broad national effect.
Technically you are correct again but that technical definition does not match reality as long as President Trump is in office. The courts will ALWAYS view both the Solicitor General and White General Counsel as essentially working for the SAME Law Firm (i.e. The President Trump Administration).
I’ll post this one more time. It describes a way out for President Trump.
All Trump has to do is veto the budget bill or continuing resolution. During a government shutdown, expired programs are not authorized, nor funded. President Trump can terminate these programs. That means laying everyone off, and perhaps selling the buildings or canceling the leases.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) identified 1,264 authorizations of appropriations that expired before the beginning of fiscal year 2024 and 251 authorizations that are set to expire before the end of the fiscal year. CBO also found that $516 billion in appropriations for 2024 was associated with 491 expired authorizations of appropriations.
According to the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 President Trump has to spend what Congress appropriated even if the program is expired.
During a government shutdown, these programs are neither authorized or funded. Therefore, President Trump can terminate these programs. That means laying everyone off, and perhaps selling the buildings. He can pick and choose which expired programs to end. If he fires the employees and Congress reappropriates the money, the fired employees would have to stand in line to reapply for their jobs. If he sells the buildings, the Congress would have to appropriate money to lease a new building. This would kill the program for years.
In short, President Trump can leverage his authority to influence the Omnibus or Continuing Resolution.
President Trump should signal to the Republicans that he intends to use this authority. Unfortunately, President Trump has indicated he intends to kick the can down the road until October. I don’t get it.
Agree. Puzzling.
I like it and I have proposed and commented the same as well. I am solely commenting on court cases brought before the Roberts’ Roulette Wheel.
When comes to legal battles … anything short of total victory before the courts is a lawfare win because time is eaten up going back to the Roberts’ full remedy process.
… and she actually laughed!
Democrats advocate for killing babies up to and after birth. What more do you need to know .
What sane moral person does this. They’re not government officials, they’re an evil cult.
I heard a blurb on “The Big 89”, WLS…apparently, this little boy who was at the SOTU Speech last night, and future LEO or USSS…is getting all sorts of “job offers” from across IL…I would imagine from all the 50 by now!
That warms my heart!
Mine too, Aggiegirl!
🤧
🥹😭
Remember, Mr. Pritzker has designs on 1600…
And on another of their segments…apparently there is a bill in IL legislature, to infringe, big time, on the privacy of ‘home schooling’.
Doing away with the Dept of Ed…this result would be my biggest fear. Especially in IL as the ‘legislators’ have no concept of ‘personal space’ and freedom, let alone the First Amendment.
Am not sure if turning education over to the states would be a good thing, (in this instance).
We talk as if we are “giving it back” to the states, but the fact is that the federal government was involved nearly as long as we have had a universal public school system.
I’m all in favor of getting rid of the Education Department as a stand-alone agency, but I’m not sure that the people handling this have much of an idea what they are doing.
Some of the functions of the department should go under another agency, IMO, to avoid situations such as you describe.
I wonder if Pam & Kash are going to check this one out?

uhhh, yes there is – if one does not have an honest, clear conscience.
(for theatre)
They (dems, rinos) would have clapped like circus seals if dt said:
-we (wrongly) will be funding abortions – world wide – with u.s. taxpayer funds (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) are perpetually going to send more billion$ to ukr (corrupt oligarchs) and defeat russia (or have untold others die, trying) (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) need congress to pass (fake) immigation reform to get control of the borders (which the legislation would have worsened crime etc. even more (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) need to prioritize being more biased, and prejudiced -via dei -and forget about common sense and competence (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) need to support consensus, not science, and spend, spend, so as to be able to (not) control the weather, climate. (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) need to unequally persecute and / or jail people with different speech opinions than those of dems, rinos. (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we (wrongly) need to give dems, rinos a pay raise, more vacation, and free room and board including shiny glasses and ample ice cream and sipping sauces, illegal drugs (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we have decided to declare another pandemic and have a ‘free’ vax that will be mandated for all people (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-we have determined that preprogrammed machines need to used for all elections, and that election season can be 6 months to a year long and the more often that one votes dem, the better (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
-i have decided to turn myself and my family into prison for life, starting tomorrow morning (dems, rinos, Yay!!! clap, clap…)
p.s.
but, saying those wrong words, doing those wrong actions
would have been contrary to what was said to we-the-people on the djt campaign trail.
[ which is the ploy that rinos and dems have done for decades]
to which the dems would have stood and clapped.
[ but they sat. Because, the wrong words and actions, is not what is happening. ]
Maybe the dems, rinos will ‘say’ that they will change (untold, just to get votes) ?
Remember the bo slogan? ‘Time for change’ [ the growing national debt, gave a lot change away – to whom, where? ]
i.e. As wise Grandpa said to Grandson over 40 years ago, ‘do not take any wooden-nickels’

Trust, but verify that trust.
I knew that PDJT wants to make that peace deal real bad.
His quoting from Zelensky’s letter at his speech tells me he isn’t going to let what could be considered a non-apology get in the way.
That was trivial.
Absolutely. This isn’t a squabble at a family picnic.
The order

Trump should ask for itemized bills with receipts.
I’m as MAGA as can be, but I am actually mixed on this decision. The 1.9 billion is supposedly for past work completed. While I still don’t believe a rogue judge should dictate things…. setting a precedent of not paying out past work could have ridiculous consequences too.
Regarding this bio male in female sports insanity:
If I had a school age daughter with a sports aptitude and seriously inclined, I would engage a big name law firm to send notification to the school district and all of the elected district principals that any injury received as a result of allowing a biological male’s participation, in violation of PDJT’s EO, and Title IX, will result in immediate legal action. In fact, the parents as a collective may want to bring injunctive relief against any school that allows this. Cripple these schools with litigation. Find conservative law firms that might be willing to take such matters on pro bono.

After reading Sundance’s article: the US shutting down targeting support … hopefully somewhere along the way Secretary Hegseth and Secretary Rubio along with the President … dust off President Trump’s Executive Order from 2018 that REMOVED DIRECT PERMANENT CONTROL and ASSIGNMENT of SOCOM (or ANY DoD) ASSETS from under US INTEL and placed them back under DoD.
This would require a tasking request and review be made before any DoD assets could be used by anyone aside from DoD.
I confess to not totally understanding what this is all about:
