Bacchus – one of my Grandmother’s Toby jugs – a very important character for the Mardi Gras parades I understand – to be Bacchus especially for one of the longest running Krewes, the Krewe of Bacchus
(my Grandmother’s little collection of Toby jugs had been on her hutch from way back as far as I could remember, knowing that she bought that hutch in Pasadena from the big sale of the Merritt Estate on Orange Grove – so the little walnut hutch held all of her Toby jugs and I believe she bought that hutch in 1954 when I was two)

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

Chauvin was convicted in both state and federal court of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter related to Floyd’s death.
His state and federal prison sentences are running concurrently.
However, Floyd’s autopsy report and other compelling evidence indicates that Chauvin was not responsible for Floyd’s death and was wrongly convicted by a kangaroo court.

Chauvin and Floyd were both scumbags. Dead or in prison, that’s often the fate of these. Lawyerly attempts to concoct a means to re-split people seem obvious here. Everybody knows Chauvin was as scummy as Floyd. My son is a police reserve, and says that’s generally accepted by his cop circles, who can see Chauvin’s methods were wrong.

Whatta speech last night. I stayed up late to watch it all and some chatter after, so my coffee this morning is strong.
I’ve got some reading for you. The combination of these two articles makes things pretty clear.
I’ve been tuning into the complete and utter dysfunction of the Europeans, the EU, Ursula blows my mind every time she opens her mouth.
There are some smart people that are saying that Europe is going to fall into civil war fairly soon and I tend to agree, in fact, the better we do here, the more I think it’s going to push them into that corner that lights the spark within the people.
I mean nothing is going to add anger to a people already pissed off as heck is seeing us in thrive as we grow our Golden Era.
In this great article by James Howard Kunstler over at ZH, he’s predicting that by next Christmas, the entire crew of insane leadership grooming Europe into a mass suicide will be removed:

And, as if this all isn’t bad enough, to really add to this mess, they are now planning on piling on to their debt pile, more massive spending on defense, and add in the Ukraine situation.
As I connect all these dots, knowing that they need a war economy, seeing that they clearly are working hard on their population replacement plan, seeing that Trump will be winding down the Ukraine war- I can’t help but to wonder if now these evils are ramping up the conditions to have war right there on their own soil- which is as much about making money as it is about a culling of their native born.. The conditions that would create all this are clearly present and growing.
And as Kunstler points out at the top, these tourist hosts that haven’t experienced war for some 80 years, this is not going to go well..
So my point here in all this: I sure hope that the Trump administration sees this coming and is planning accordingly, first of all.
Next, WE the voters need to see all this coming and vote accordingly-knowing what is coming.
Identifying these warmongers that will drag us into these conflicts need to be identified and certainly not voted for.
We certainly don’t want to end the Ukraine war only to have another one we’re being baited into funding and bailing out.
