Secretary of State Marco Rubio carries the same level of frustration as his boss, President Donald Trump.
Appearing on CNN, Secretary Rubio outlines the background of weeks of opposition from the Ukraine leader as Zelenskyy continually rejects a ceasefire discussion without assurances the U.S. will put troops on the battlefield to secure the ceasefire.
From Zelenskyy’s continually expressed perspective, only if U.S. and NATO troops are at risk of being killed, is he willing to pause the combat to enter peace negotiations. These are the assurances, the “security guarantees” he demands. President Trump is not willing to put U.S. troops tenuously into place between Ukrainians and Russians; it would be foolish.
Secretary Rubio is strongly committed to the vision President Trump has, where killing stops so that peace negotiations can begin. Zelenskyy is not willing to accept a ceasefire, that’s the core problem. WATCH:

As previously stated, Zelenskyy is operating from a position where he believes the CIA, global intelligence apparatus, NATO and the EU Commission are willing to keep supporting and financing him.

Zelenskyy doesn’t just want American troops, he want NATO membership and all NATO’s troops. Up until now Hungary’s Viktor Orbán has been the only European leader with common sense and against that happening. He is about Trump’s only ally in this fight to keep Ukraine out of NATO. Ukraine must not be given NATO membership. That is WW3, Europe and the US against Russia and it’s satellite nations, China, North Korea and Iran.
