Just a reminder of a pattern that was clearly visible soon after the November election. The current status:
The Trump administration has some serious people doing extraordinarily important work. The CIA team are facing a challenge few can fathom and yet they appear to be making progress. When the details surface, they will hopefully get praise.
The State Dept team, obviously working closely with the CIA team, are likewise doing exceptional groundwork. Secretary Rubio does appear to be downsizing the tentacles of the geopolitical influence operation.
The DNI group (domestic IC) and DHS team also appear to be laying the groundwork for major changes and confronting decades of institutional wrongdoing. Tom Homan is working through the process and DHS praise and appreciation seem well warranted.
The economic team is first-in-class, and the emissaries are working the Economic Security and National Security dynamic. These policies enmesh with other operations and DJT/Lutnick are brilliantly coordinating a smooth outflow of positive global influence.
However, AS PREDICTED, don’t expect the DOJ/FBI silos to be anything except a hot mess. The appointed leaders have all the support needed, but the nominated heads generally do not seem to have any idea how to get their “arms around” the problems. The DOJ/FBI reform agenda is not likely to go anywhere.
Celebrate all the success in the areas where serious people are operating strategically. But be practical in looking for DOJ/FBI structural silo changes; that really is unlikely to happen. The Bondi/Patel partnership are the wrong leadership people for that type of change.
WASHINGTON – […] Patel has been spotted around Washington, including a party at the British ambassador’s residence on Wednesday. He also showed up to the regional meeting without a jacket. “I’m not planning on wearing a suit, and I don’t expect you to wear one,” Patel said.
Patel also appears to be bringing many stylistic changes to the job. He told officials he planned to spend a lot of time in Las Vegas, where he was living last year. He ordered new decor for his Washington office and asked for his personal trainer to be cleared to enter the building for his workouts. (WSJ Link)
“Man, this is effing crazy.” ~ FBI Director Kash Patel, After Swearing-In

Silos, shmilos. I care about the proper judicial action being taken against McCord, Weissmann, Eisen and the rest of the lawfare mafia.
Benny Johnson interviews former FBI Kyle Serafin and Garrett O’Boyle, both whistleblowers that got F’d by the FBLiers.
In this interview Kyle explains in detail the HEAD SILO MANAGER, James E Dennehy and how they truly believe that THEY are above the law and we all can just F off.
This is SILO on steroids.
The battle that is HOPEFULLY going on is existential to our Republic.
Seems Patel is quite full of himself. I expected a blowhard, just not such a glaringly supercilious one.
And Blondi looooves that TV camera. The vanity twins. She and Patel are mistakes, bigly.
Federal governmental leadership begins and ends with President Trump.

There is nothing subversive about realizing that some of Trump’s appointees are not living up to their tough talk…
Srsly, What? How about you cast your subversive aspersions elsewhere.
subversive
/səb-vûr′sĭv, -zĭv/
adjective
Intending or intended to subvert an established order, especially to undermine or overthrow an established government.
Patel eats to run two DC agencies – from Las Vegas? Is that where his sweetie lives?
Nothing today from Pam Blondie?
Zelenskys implosion gave them cover… nothing by the beginning of next week? …
She was saved by Zelensky! Nobody was talking about her fiasco today.
Oh he’s blooming alright, redecorating his office, personal trainer at work, working from (home) Las Vegas. Great life if you’re one of the literally chosen few.
No, we do not need to lower our expectations. They need to deliver. I warned about this kind of thinking in 2017 and was ignored.
Trump works for us.
Trump holds all the essential cards at this point and he’s not making mistakes as he consolidates power. If Patel isn’t the guy, then he was nominated to fail in a manner which aids the criminal network exposure operation. Whether the to-be-exposed whomevers in this Patel-fail situation turn out to be uni-party right or unit-party left does not matter. They’re the same freaking enemy. Some things are out of our control but we can over and over again as necessary keep exposing what we already know to be true, things the enemy continues to fear and therefore hides.
Pound these to make progress, then pound them some more as people’s ears search for something which makes sense.
In his last administration Mr. Trump let us see just how willing he was to fire people right up to the cabinet level. Let’s hope that DJT hasn’t lost this strength of character and expectation of performance. He may quickly tire of low achievement and actually do something about it with DOJ/FBI. We’ll see.
Lets hope so. If Blondie handles all like the Treyvon Martin case we are in real and i mean REAL trouble!
President Trump can fire them and appoint acting heads of the agencies. Until basic steps are taken to reform DOJ and FBI, like mass firings of subversives on the inside, nothing will change.
I’m in favor of giving them six months if there are signs of internal shake up.
If not out with the dead wood.
Homeland Security chief NOEM got on a horse and rode to the border to supervise arrests of invaders. Patel and Bondi should have personally travelled to, and walked into, the SDNY and NYFBI to demand the entire cache of Epstein materials from the leaders of those DOJ/FBI regional offices. They MIGHT do this next week, if President Trump begins putting on the pressure.
Exactly!!!!
With the past record of the FBI that’s exactly what should have been done. Patel’s the person in charge it’s his responsibility. So far all he’s done is praise agents and send a thousand or so out of DC. Oh and he writes very good letters telling them how none of that past stuff will now be tolerated. I never really knew much about Patel but there seemed to be a lot of support from conservatives. So far and when it counts (the Epstein stuff) he’s a big nothing burger.
Don’t ask me why but I don’t think any of this is going to hurt Trump. He’s still in charge and it’s been spectacular to see all he’s accomplished and still accomplishing every day. Somehow I don’t think he’s going to let Bondi’s and Patel’s performance go unchecked. These are his appointees and they are his to do with as he pleases unlike the first time.
Patel wants to be idolized by “his” people, the FIB. A god complex is not a good look.
It’s an op, but not what you may think. They failed to deliver on purpose to direct the attention and outrage toward the SDNY FBI office for disobeying a direct and lawful order. Which they knew would happen. They are building a narrative for a reform of the FBI.
That thought -building a narrative- has crossed my mind too. The Trump admin is focusing our attention on cleaning house in NY. Did the DHS not confront Gov Hoschul and NYC officials regarding sanctuary city laws?
And if the nickname Pam “Blondi” gains more traction, I would expect the AG to unleash holy hell out the gate to dispel that notion once and for all. That is, if she is the real deal.
I’ll take whatever victories we can get, and we’re getting a lot. Cleaning out DOJ/FIB is crucial though.
Related question: I seem to recall Ric Grenell being confirmed as ambassador to Germany, but being moved to the DNI position without re-confirmation because had already had been through the process once and cleared. Does this mean that if the EPA is sufficiently gutted that its few remaining functions can be rolled into another agency, that Pres. Trump has a “laser guided smart bomb” in the person of Lee Zeldin the current head of EPA? Couldn’t he be placed into a different role if the Senate defies a nomination, or someone needs to be fired for incompetence or insubordination?
Yep.
Immediately send reliable agents to SDNY FBI, arrest the resisters, file charges and throw them in jail. Also fire them all. We are better off with no FBI than these clowns. That will send a message to other districts. It’s not all that hard.
Many of the comments here seem to be written by OCD Instant-Gratification types. Jeez, Bondi and Patel have held their offices for less than a MONTH! How about we wait and see how they grow into their offices? BTW, they are infinitely better choices than we have had for those offices the last several administrations, including 45’s.
These two are the only ones not performing up to snuff with a very important thing that needs to be handled and that’s releasing the Epstein files. This better not be the way they the other classified files are going to be handled. All you have to do is look at the other important offices to see the difference. Everyone of them seem to doing very well some exceptionally well.
I think there will be a reckoning if they don’t get their act together.
Why did Bondi give the supercilious binder to ‘influencers’?
Because she’s in over head, totally incompetent for the job. You don’t play the head of the DOJ the same as you do some state job. This is big time not show time.
Over her head.
She did it ’cause her “influencers” post and re-post whatever she sends them so she gets more “followers” on her social web sites…
She could have just sent the info to Citizens Free Press, and CFP would have immediately opened it up to the public.
My Performative Acts radar is pinging.
I agree with Sundance. I also believe the clean out of the FBI and the DoJ was the most important thing that needs to be done, post haste. I am losing ground with my own euphoria. Nothing will change unless DOGE can produce what the DoJ leaders cannot.
Trump, and the American people, have been repeatedly disappointed by his DOJ picks. Sessions, Wray, Rosenthal, and above all, Barr. Kash has appeared to be the right man for a couple of years now. However I was disappointed in his confirmation speech, which was very self-focused on his achievements. Maybe the intent was to underline that this could only happen in America, which would be fine. But still, the correct emphasis for the speech was the work ahead that needs to get done.
We shall see. Mediocre here does not work. I think Trump understands that full well. His cabinet is not perfect, but it is radical and historic. We need to see real achievements now. The future of the republic depends on it.
The FBI whistleblowers have been helping the Trump Administration. It is a beautiful process.
Just when the Deep State thought they were safe…..lol
This is US in real time, real life: The Trump mandates are happening everywhere. Love it . Can’t stop smiling. The Deep State gives us back our money one cash drop at a time. YAY!

Shout out to the K9 crew 🙂
Maybe President Trump should require Bondi and Patel to give him an email with 5 bullet points of what they accomplished last week.
How about require the email at the end of every week?
At my old workplace, they put people on “performance plans” if their performance was not up to snuff.
Mine too, and they wouldn’t give me 6mos to see if I could do the job…
A probationary period is 3 months, in most positions.
