Just a reminder of a pattern that was clearly visible soon after the November election. The current status:
The Trump administration has some serious people doing extraordinarily important work. The CIA team are facing a challenge few can fathom and yet they appear to be making progress. When the details surface, they will hopefully get praise.
The State Dept team, obviously working closely with the CIA team, are likewise doing exceptional groundwork. Secretary Rubio does appear to be downsizing the tentacles of the geopolitical influence operation.
The DNI group (domestic IC) and DHS team also appear to be laying the groundwork for major changes and confronting decades of institutional wrongdoing. Tom Homan is working through the process and DHS praise and appreciation seem well warranted.
The economic team is first-in-class, and the emissaries are working the Economic Security and National Security dynamic. These policies enmesh with other operations and DJT/Lutnick are brilliantly coordinating a smooth outflow of positive global influence.
However, AS PREDICTED, don’t expect the DOJ/FBI silos to be anything except a hot mess. The appointed leaders have all the support needed, but the nominated heads generally do not seem to have any idea how to get their “arms around” the problems. The DOJ/FBI reform agenda is not likely to go anywhere.
Celebrate all the success in the areas where serious people are operating strategically. But be practical in looking for DOJ/FBI structural silo changes; that really is unlikely to happen. The Bondi/Patel partnership are the wrong leadership people for that type of change.

Perhaps their antics will be the release valve the full Administration needs while all the other Executive departments and agencies achieve real work and solutions. There always needs to be a release valve when momentous change is afoot and in that game of ‘Tag’ Bondi/Patel are the ‘Its’ as real work gets accomplished, out of the limelight.
I am hoping for the best with Kash and Bondi. Huge task ahead of them, let’s see where we are in 90 days.

I’ve been thinking about this. Perhaps it can’t all be done simultaneously. Perhaps the most important parts, dealing with wars in Ukraine and Gaza, sealing the borders, deporting illegal aliens, turning around the military, imposing tariffs, and opening the oil spigots are higher priority than digging out the rats in the DOJ/FBI barn? If Bondtelgino can just get DOJ/FBI to stop everything they are doing and go into a holding pattern, that in itself is huge.
I liken this to taking over a company on the verge of bankruptcy whose products don’t work, whose customers have walked away, and that is drowning in debt. What first? You stop the financial bleeding. You stop paying virtually everyone discretionary. Everyone in the Internal Audit Department will eventually have to go, but sacking them is not a Day One concern. I know, everyone all over the place, from engineering to marketing to sales to accounting to product development all think their issues should come first. They won’t.
So far, I wouldn’t do anything different.

In another lifetime I held the belief that women were or could be as good or better than men in any endeavor. Over a long lifeline, I am sure the design of God was directed to women being the mothers and homemakers and men being the protectors and providers. That solidifies families and society. The differences in the emotional and physical traits of men and women were designed with reason. The hot mess created since WWII can be traced to women leaving their traditional positions in the home and entering the workforce.
