With a party-line 12-10 vote from the Senate Judiciary Committee, FBI Director nominee Kash Patel is now set for the next phase of two votes in the full Senate. Majority Leader John Thune will now schedule a cloture vote to close debate and then a subsequent full senate confirmation vote.
WASHINGTON, Feb 13 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump’s pick to head the FBI, Kash Patel, won the approval of the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, clearing the way for a vote to confirm a director who has called for a radical reshaping of the nation’s top law enforcement agency.
In a 12-10 party-line vote, the panel approved Patel’s nomination despite deep reservations by Democrats who said he is unfit to lead the bureau.
“We are inviting a political disaster if we put Kash Patel into this job,” said the panel’s top Democrat, Dick Durbin.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, a Republican of Iowa, said Patel had been fully vetted and subjected to “relentless attacks on his character” throughout the confirmation process.
Patel’s nomination has not yet been scheduled for full Senate debate and votes. (read more)

One of the many differences that true followers of Christ have is the command to pray for our “enemies” as well as our friends. Jesus died for Mitch just like he died for you and me. “For all have sinned…”.

I think there is no entity that judges us. We judge ourselves since every word, every deed, every THOUGHT is replayed back to you from your entire life. Along with that is what your words, deeds and thoughts did to others and how that felt. Done all at once I suspect can be quite traumatic. When we pray for someone, I believe, this adds positive to our aura and energies since that is what we are, energy. Positive prayers from others helps us deal with all those things we are shown upon our death of the physical.
I intensely dislike McConnell because I know of things he has done, continued to do and without remorse. I believe he should resign and let a younger person take the mantel. The longer he remains the more harm to himself he collects. This is why I do not believe in the death penalty. It is torture here as you gather that negative you must to deal with later. Death of the physical is such a relief to the elderly. But, alas, we always elect to come back to Earth school in physical form to learn to deal with the negative.
It is tough indeed, but we must.

Thune has the majority and should tell the RINOS to get on board the “TRUMP TRAIN” or expect to enjoy the last years of their terms. The gray train is drying up and it is time that Thune and the other Republican senators get Trumps executive orders turned into laws ….by way of pushing Johnson in the House.
