Deep weeds walkers can infer quite a bit from the Zelenskyy pablum, including the necessary photograph that accompanies the text written for him by the CIA. And without a scintilla of doubt, the CIA wrote the Twitter text. Remember, in order to understand the Ukraine dynamic, it’s always World War Reddit, which is high on optics and narrative.
Yes, once you fully accept that situation – then you realize President Trump is negotiating with the CIA, through the installed representative we call Volodymyr Zelenskyy. That’s the context.
Even if you find it hard to fathom, apply the analytical filter noted in the introduction. Does the Zelenskyy text and statement change in construct?
Think about a hypothetical: (1) President Trump and Vladimir Putin agree to a total cessation of hostilities, a complete pause in the fighting. (2) President Trump tells Zelenskyy that on XXX date, all fighting stops as negotiations and diplomacy begins. (3) “Oh, and by the way, this pause provides you the opportunity to hold a national election, solidifying your support, right?” (4) Then what happens?
When you are, essentially, negotiating with yourself (your own govt) in public, well, what do you say?
See?
Odd that, no?
World War Reddit continues.

SecDef Hegseth dumped a bucket of Cold Water on European expectations today. In a speech he stated No NATO membership for Ukraine. No U.S. troops in Ukraine. Europeans can try their luck as peacekeepers (which they won’t because Russia won’t allow it and they know it).
Crimea is off the table, which Zelensky has already acknowledged. Hegseth didn’t say anything about Russia’s gains in eastern Ukraine.
Hegseth said a lot more, but those were his big points.
Lots going on today with the Ukraine File.
More winning.

Trump Talks to Putin and Upends US Policy on Ukraine
Trump has overturned years of US policy on the war in Ukraine with a single phone call.
[…]European leaders, who were broadly aligned with Washington under Biden, were stunned to learn of the call and some said it appeared to signal that Trump was selling out Ukraine.
[…]Pete Hegseth delivered another one.
He told American partners in Brussels that Ukrainian membership in the alliance isn’t realistic, and that the US won’t send peacekeeping troops if a cease-fire with Moscow can be reached.
[…]Hegseth told NATO dignitaries in Brussels that restoring Ukraine to its pre-2014 borders is an “illusionary goal” — raising concerns the US may be giving away leverage by making concessions even before talks begin.

Marcy Kaptur Slams Defense Secretary Over Ukraine Comments
( 1 min 32 )
Marcy couldn’t find Ukraine on a map and she looks 90 years old on a good day!
Marcy probably can’t even find her car.
Yes she can as she is very involved with the N*** aspect, hosting these women and others in her office. She had been involved in the Maidan. I have photos downloaded from articles throughout the decades.
Before Burissma, Ukraine started freezing USAID activities because it was starting to be investigated. Our friend Marcy was not happy.
Don’t tell me she is still in Congress!
Term limits!!
The destroyed black fleet demonstrates that Crimea is not the strategic asset it once was. Donbass and the minerals below it are the prize. The rest of Russian occupied space is rubble. Be interesting to see what Kursk is worth to Putin. Russians will push to integrate Belarus shortly thereafter.
Also be interesting to see if Turkey becomes part of the peacekeeping force.
Hmm, I doubt the Russians will agree to any ceasefire.
The Ukrainians would play their usual terrorist games, besides the Russians have the upper hand.
No incentive there to weaken their own position at the table, bartering over things they can take outright in due course.
Plus I doubt they care about Zelensky it’s the Maidan regime itself that’s an issue, a problem bigger than one puppet clown
The problem is the Global Derp State, indeed much larger than Z-Bag, and Maidan.
All roads lead to Langley.
From there you’ll need a boat to finish the job.
It could be much more difficult for the Ukrainians to play any more terrorist games with DOGE exposing all those money trails back in D.C.
N..o there will not be ceasefire… through Orhodox Christmas VVP wanted ceasefire …it was not permited by head of russian army….army got upper hand…….
Putin already has otherwise President Trump wouldn’t be talking about it.
Think you are wrong on all accounts. Also the “deal” has been agreed to, the rest of this is for show. Lets see if Russia can now transition to a peace economy.
I think any agreement was broader in nature than just Ukraine, but the implementation of peace *in* Ukraine specifically.
Still requires mopping up those in Ukraine who won’t quit & dealing with other such loose ends.
Because even without support from the US.
Some in the EU aren’t going to quit, too hateful or mired in “sunk cost” thinking.
They’ll lose in the end, but it won’t be overnight.

I hope the President and Elon Musk chase all the stolen money that Zelensky and his Ukrainian benefactors and top military/politicians have stashed in overseas accounts is confiscated.
ME TOO!
It’s long gone and a waste of time and $$$ trying to audit something that is not auditable!
The fact that Zelensky complained about “his missing $100b of US money” suggests perhaps that President Trump’s DOGE has already traced all of it…
will find most of it in Dem coffers.

US offers Ukraine “security” in return for mineral resources

Trump’s Ukraine Plans Mean a $3 Trillion Bill for European Allies
Whatever the US president decides is his goal for Ukraine, one thing is clear:
Europe isn’t ready to shoulder its huge share of the burden.
[…]Bloomberg Economics calculates that protecting Ukraine and expanding its own military could cost the bloc an additional $3.1 trillion over the next 10 years.
[…]Putin will only increase his attempts to weaken and ultimately even break up both the EU and the NATO alliance.
[…]with an authoritarian petro-state menacing its eastern borders and a growing realization that they can’t rely on the White House
[…]Former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace told Bloomberg. “It seems Trump thinks he knows better. History shall be the judge of this decision.”

Trump Got Himself a Dilemma in Talking to Putin
The US president could end the war in Ukraine, but only by committing American troops.
Or he could leave it to the Europeans, but without a lasting peace.
[…]he is about to crash into a contradiction of his own making.
It’s a dilemma that may doom his efforts.
[…]It starts with the clash of irreconcilable narratives: The Russians keep doubling down on Putin’s fable that Ukrainians are really Russians
[…]On it goes: Should Russia get to keep the land it has conquered? Trade some of it in return for the Russian territory that Ukraine currently holds?
[…]what about the many Ukrainian children whom the Russians have abducted
[…] there must be some reckoning for Russian atrocities committed since 2022.
[…]What security guarantee, short of NATO membership, can the West give Ukraine to deter Putin from attacking again a few years later?
[…]This is where Trump has boxed himself in.
[…] But without putting American “boots on the ground,” or at least providing the firepower and whizzbang ordnance that America has and its allies lack, no security guarantee will be believable.
[…] Putin, a man who thinks nothing of rattling his nuclear saber
[…]the Europeans could make their deployment somewhat more martial, deploying thousands of troops from various countries and some hardware.
[…]having enough troops and weapons on or near the border to repel a Russian attack from the first bullet.
NATO is now trying to adopt this strategy for its member states, by upgrading its fighting forces from Finland to Bulgaria.
It’s also what Zelensky wants for Ukraine

Love this insight. Thank you,Sundance!!!
Prepare for a Black Swan Event.
The Black Swan is sure flapping its wings over the Baltic sea.
Including Nordstream, 11 pipelines and undersea cables cut.
Russian Ships detained / Seized by Baltic Sea countries. (Pirates?)
Sabotage/ mining of Russian Tankers.
Baltic States just disconnected from Russian power. So as to put pressure on Kaliningrad’s grid. Forcing Kaliningrad to run off of its own internal power plant.
With Ukraine lost, and the warmongers spitting mad about it. These crazy little ankle biter Baltic States look to be trying to open another front in the war.
Agree but with what military?? The Baltic States are going to have some freezing citizens the rest of this winter! JMO
I disagree in part. President Trump is negotiating with President Putin on this. President Trump is keeping the CIA out of the conversations/negotiations by giving only token attention to President Zelensky.
The conflict was always the US/NATO vs Russia…..with Ukraine as the proxy force run by the CIA and military intelligence.
President Trump is sending Rubio and Vance on Friday to negotiate with Zelensky – aka, giving Zelensky marching orders with the subtle message that intelligence is no longer in control, that President Trump is. This circumvents the CIA.
Perhaps JD & Marco are actually going to negotiate with CIA inbreds.
Interesting…or to begin to finish the destruction of the remaining inbreds
Sure. Yet Zelenski is a c*eye*eh asset. Ukraine is multi-faceted “special” to / for / on behalf of corrupt D.C. actors.
This war could have ended 2 years ago. Instead, to keep the money laundering grift going, Joe paid Boris to tell Zelensky to drag it out. The result was no peace deal. The price you pay for destroying your country and forcing 2 generations of Ukrainian men to die for your grift should be the ultimate price. Zelensky still thinks he has leverage. I sincerely hope he doesn’t.
“…discussed our readiness to work together at the team level…” – LOLOLOL!!…
…- Dead Man Walking!
That Zelenskyy statement is devoid of any meaningful information, other than the fact that he talked with Trump. He should have shortened it to “I talked with Trump, and I have nothing meaningful I’m willing to share from that conversation.” I guess the CIA thought they needed to fluff it out – although they’re not the only one pulling his strings. Remember that Boris Johnson torpedoed peace talks a couple years ago, for one. I think if Zelenskyy was a NASCAR driver, he’d have plenty of logos on his Nomex suit; no doubt “CIA” would be a big one, but there are more.
Obviously he’s a puppet, and he’s profited enormously off all this. Were it not for the globalist patches sewn to the inseams of his green suit, there would have been elections already, and he would be long gone. Funny how globalists jump and cheer for “democracy” – until it comes for their guy. The next questions are, does he know how irrelevant he personally is to all this, how soon is he gone, and what happens once he is? If the process were to play out naturally, there would be a cease fire, elections would be held (including votes from within occupied territory – managed by a third party), and a new Ukrainian leader – hopefully one who’s firmly independent of either Russian or Western (globalist) influence – would be selected. One who could truly broker a peace deal in the interest of Ukraine.
Even with Trump in, I don’t know if that’s truly possible, but I hope so. If they’d had such a leader to begin with, he would have gone straight to the negotiating table and come up with a far better solution than the meat grinder and enormous slush pot for money laundering and arms dealing that’s developed the last three years. Just ceding all of Russia’s initial advances in exchange for a quick end to the conflict would have been a net win over the loss of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to this mindless “at any cost” approach. I hope Ukrainians are awake to the fact that “at any cost” mostly means any cost to Ukraine – that being subjects of Putin is less of a price than we’ve already coerced them into paying.
TBF an “honest” statement of we’re utterly screwed and I’ve helped to doom the country’s long-term future, by killing & running off much of the population.
Would get him deposed and make the AFU desertion crisis worse.
Not that anything he says would help, fend off the end result…
