This is a good strategic move. Security Clearances are the credentialed currency of those who work in the DC administrative state. Specifically, a lawyer inside the DC machine is essentially of no value without a security clearance.
Additionally, the absence of a security clearance opens up both parties in DC to legal exposure from discussing or receiving information that is defined by the apparatus as NSI (national security information). And the cherry on the top of the proverbial cake is that Lawfare uses their definitions of NSI in an attempt to stop sunlight on their corrupt activity.
Revocation of security clearances is a win, win, win; a triple winnamin.

There is a Personnel Security Appeals Board which can reinstate clearance revocation. Does anyone know whether this Board is neutral/honest? I assume that if the Board somehow reinstates, PDJT could just revoke again , perhaps with more statement of evidence?
It doesn’t make sense that some appeals board can overrule the President here.
They certainly could not override him if the Presiden has any direct authority for appointment to the board. On the other hand, he could eliminate the board as part of the liquidation of the Municipal UNITED STATES and reassign the task elsewhere; some civil servants will need to be retained. Just not the troublesome ones. You’d think that they would have figured that out by now.
Take the board and make it part of the White House office. Trump/staff can review every appeal and simply deny it.

I was an FSO (Facility Security Officer) for a number of years for DoD and IC-cleared information in my own company. Part of my training involved studying the federal NISPOM (essentially the rulebook). It was 100% clear that the ultimate classification authority is POTUS. I think that this action is permanent. Some agencies could offer them clearances again, which will be subject to the same action. It might be a whack-a-mole, but there will be a whole process of adjudicating their prior clearance termination for reinstatement.
If they are not federal employees, they have no right to a clearance.
Wethal, there is no “right”. It is a privilege. Most clearances die by timing out. My case, military flight crew, retired with a few years left on the last clearance renewal, worked at KSC/CCAFS, RIFed at end of shuttle, worked private. Tried to get back to aerospace but since my clearance had expired, no one wanted to dole out the cash to get it updated again. It is a privilege, and it ain’t free. IIRC, there is coding in the background check if the clearance just lapsed…or if it was pulled.

Not so. Contractors doing classified government work, such as R&D, and even outside lawyers (and all Partners of the law firm) must have clearance, as well as Officers and Board members of companies doing anything with classified info or materials/products, even if they do no classified work.

Is McCord still legal counsel for the FISA court? If so, perhaps the FISA statute arrogated the authority to grant her clearance to the FISA court itself? Even if it does not, she may represent a bit of a tough nut to crack in that revoking her clearance may impair the FISA court from performing its duties pending resolution of her status and we may have some sensitive matters before that court/

President Trump should use the security clearances as his own version of lawfare against those wishing to stop him. Revoke the clearances for any federal judge who issues an overreaching ruling like Engelmayer. They might win on appeal but will be sidelined during the process. Also revoke those of Mueller’s legal team, Biden’s entire cabinet and top level subordinates, judges who gave extraordinary sentences to J6ers then watch them scream because they can’t get into the federal buildings. Also hold security inspections of the liberal law firms in DC, give them no quarter like Biden did on gun shops. Find discrepancies, jerk their ability to hold classified data. That will slow down their efforts to obstruct.
