The U.S. GDP as compared to its export/import total is 11%. This is in the lowest 10 of all 171 countries on earth. Tariffs will impact us the least. Mexico is at 36%, Canada 33%. And both of those countries imports are largely from the US. We’ll be fine.

Army National Guard Maj. David Worley ran for mayor in Pocatello, Idaho, and expressed opposition to issues involving so-called “Drag Queen Story Hours,” pornographic material for minors in public libraries, and the medical mutilation of gender-confused children. This speech was off-duty, out of uniform, and protected. It was also before he took command of the Idaho Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention unit.
However, in 2023, a subordinate senior enlisted soldier filed a formal discrimination complaint against Worley, claiming he created a hostile work environment. According to @libertycounsel, the Idaho Army National Guard suspended Worley from command in July 2023 and then, illegally pressured him to resign without benefit of any counsel or notice.
Worley rescinded his notice two hours later, but the Idaho Army National Guard then proceeded with a formal investigation into the complaint. The complaint was unsubstantiated and found no evidence Worley did anything wrong in the workplace.
However, out of the investigation came the recommendation that all candidates for command “be scrutinized to ensure any concerning expression is discovered, reported to the Department of Defense, and investigated for extremist activity.”
And according to Liberty Counsel, his commander, Brig. Gen. James Packwood concluded Worley’s religious beliefs were “toxic” and removed him from command solely due to those protected religious views.

….If all units in RSO buildings must be replaced with units affordable to lower-income households … rents would be about $2,000 per month. For the units in newer, non-RSO buildings that must be affordable to very-low-income households …rents would be about $1,300 per month.
Before the fire, a market-rate two-bedroom apartment cost between $4,000 and $5,000 per month, requiring a monthly annual household income of $160,000 to comfortably afford, which means that the RPO replacement requirements could significantly alter the area’s demographics — and even bar higher earning residents from renting out homes at their old addresses.
“Under the Resident Protections Ordinance, in most cases landlords will be required to replace apartments burned down in the Palisades with low income units,” said Los Angeles Housing Production Institute director Joseph Cohen on X. “Displaced residents will then find themselves ineligible to return because they won’t meet the income requirements.”
