It’s long been suspected that China threatened to withhold critical supplies—particularly essential medications—if the U.S. government investigated the origins of Covid too deeply or publicly. Someone I trust implicitly has now confirmed this.
So you’d think this would have prompted immediate action to reduce America’s reliance on drugs manufactured in, or dependent on materials from, China. But you’d be wrong. In reality, U.S. pharmaceutical imports from China have surged over the past five years.
And they tell us that there is a shortage of IV solutions here in America, especially the one important one for sepsis. We experience that, daily, where I work.
There have been shortages of other antibiotics for kids with ear infections, too.

I have suspected that greatly, as it would serve many purposes:
Test the supply chain and their ability to cripple us
Test timing and U.S. reserves
manipulate prices
boost cash flow to alternative businesses
Federal law specifically allows for individuals and providers to purchase drugs from outside the country,..for individuals up to a 3 month supply.
While they past this law because they recognise the potential for supply chain disruptions, there is no restriction saying the drug must be in short supply or unavailable.
India has a plentiful supply, and in many cases the pills you get at CVS were actually made in INDIA.
And there are REPUTABLE suppliers, and its not that difficult to identify who they are.
Yes, but I think the PHarma cartel keeps insurance from paying for the drugs. Many are cheap, but many of the better priced drugs in other countries are still quite expensive.
But that is a good thing to know and needs to be made more public.

President Trump doesn’t seem to have much patience with “we can’t do this because of that.” He showed that beautifully in the televised exchange with LA mayor Karen Bass.
So if the farmers need workers and there are truly no US workers willing / able to fill the jobs, let foreigners come in as guest workers, with entry and exit regulated and monitored by the government, and with no automatic citizenship, no voting rights, and no anchor-baby citizenship.
This instead of a black market in illegal-alien labor and a blurring of the concept of citizenship.
It will probably require changes in some laws, but that’s what Congress is for.
If guest workers want to be citizens, they can go through the same application process as any other foreign national.
I suspect PDJT may also make the legal naturalization process faster and more efficient.
Keeping it ineffective allows the prices of illegal immigration to me more profitable.
I’ve said that same thing for years. It could work if it is managed properly. It would solve a couple problems and there has to be rules like no families get to come with the worker. If someone leaves the guest worker program and enters the country they will be arrested and sent home never to return again. If it is implemented correctly and doesn’t get sliced and diced by greedy politicians like most good plans done in DC, then it could be a plus for everyone.

If the worker does not return within that 90 days, the deposit is forfeited, and the worker is subject to deportation with a 5 year no-entry clause.
Well, then, farmers go to smaller operations that require less workers. Get power and profits through creatively working with lots of smaller operations. Hire locals or set up nice campgrounds for traveling rv families (many homeschooling) who choose to live a road life, looking for income on the go. Work to change policies to pay cash. Instead of undocumented illegals, make legit to use citizens for undocumented, cash work.
It is not America First to sell our sovereignty to make the farmers’ operations bigger than they can manage legally. It is the farmers’ responsibility to change how they operate to run their operations.

The police officers pulled up to the scene and turned off their body cams. And then allegedly committed a cover-up. And were convicted of second-degree murder when was given five years one was given four years,
but nowhere could I find out why they were pursuing the guy, and Trump mentioned that it was a bad guy.
So finally I turned to AI grok on X, and this is what it said, and so no wonder Trump was so motivated to pardon these police officers even though, they likely broke laws in the cover-up:

Anyhoo, my job is weird and most of what I do is make site visits across the DC area everyday.
It’s not uncommon for me to be circling the entirety of the beltway in a day. I’ve been doing this for 10 years.
I’m one of the greatest living experts on DC traffic patterns in existence.
Starting the DAY OF THE INAUGURATION traffic has been lighter than it has ever been in my entire life. Including covid.
On Friday, I drove from Chevy Chase to foggy bottom. All the way down 16th st there were almost no cars on the road.
Once you hit downtown/IMF there’s like 1/16th of the normal foot traffic.

It was 40 degrees on Friday.
If this is because of Illegals not driving then…….wow.

If I’m at a four way stop and the guy to my right “waves me through”, I won’t go first. If there’s an accident, my action becomes relevant, and I’m not putting myself in that position.
There was an element of stupidity in the judgment of those individuals who thought they could trust the situation, considering how completely volatile everything was that day–both specifically and generally.
My oldest son had the capacity and misjudgment to “get in trouble” even when it really was not “his fault”–because he was always “close at hand” and was seen as a useful foil by those who were more clever than he was at age 13-14. I remember telling him (desperately!) “If you are not present when the bad stuff goes down, you will not be accused. Saying you didn’t didn’t actually do anything after it’s all done–but you were THERE–isn’t so simple. Don’t be there. Just don’t be there.”
Has anyone else reading here wondered about the quality of judgment that day on the part of the crowd?

The Capitol is a government building, not a private business. It belongs to “the people” and traditionally has been open to the public during business hours on weekdays, including the House and Senate galleries for people to watch Congressers when they are in session.
