Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

During the last of President Trump’s first term, went to the store in which was a coal miner who loudly proclaimed he would never vote for Trump again because he lied. He said he’d bring back coal mining. I replied that he did not lie. He said he would get rid of the regulations so mining could come back. Its not his fault that the owners didn’t bring it back. Too often they leave out enough to make the truth seem like a lie.

I think there are a lot of unfounded assumptions about what “Trump” is unaware of.
He doesn’t always say what he knows or thinks, whether its about Putin or school administrators.
One of his campaign promises was to virtually shutter the Dept of Ed. and another was Nationwide School Choice, both of which are big moves that would profoundly change the nature of public education in this country.
There are also assumptions about what he is aware of that turn out to be false, later.
Sometimes proceeding on the assumption he doesn’t know and making a lot of noise works better than sitting back and believing “he’s got this”, and later being left with excuses that “he didn’t know”, when something bad happens.
For example, I personally have been yelling (figuratively) about FEMA and why it has to be abolished, every chance I get, for quite some time.
It really looks to me like Trump ‘didn’t know’ before, and now he is on the same page that I and others have been on all along. He was saying this, down in NC (I believe).
He wasn’t informed, now he is, and that’s all to the good.

Here is a gas station tactic I experienced two times…same chain, different locations, same foreigners at the register…
The loyalty card for a whopping 5 cents off per gallon, did not work. I went in…and ‘they’ told me I would have to go on line etc etc…end result was I never got my five cents off in either fill up. I did not pursue it but I sure don’t stop at either station anymore.
Thirty cents a fill…say they do that 10 times a week or more….do they then pocket the change?

Biden did pardon “the police officers from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department or the U.S. Capitol Police [USCP] who testified before the Select Committee,” but Byrd never testified before the J6 committee.
Byrd has good reason to worry. As explained in the law suit filed by Judicial Watch on behalf of Ashli’s husband Aaron Babbitt, Byrd violated just about every Capitol Police directive on the use of deadly force.
Masked and out of uniform, Byrd did not identify himself as a police officer, did not give Babbitt verbal orders to stop, nor give her a chance to comply.
He did not “diligently assess” the situation before firing. He never considered any other defensive tactics or compliance techniques. And he disregarded the presence of seven other police officers in his line of fire.
Most critically, Babbitt did not pose “an imminent danger of death or serious injury.” When Byrd fired, he did not even know she was a female.
The treatment afforded Byrd after the shooting was unprecedented. For six months, the USCP brass refused to say who killed Ashli Babbitt. Quietly, they put Byrd and a pet up in a “distinguished visitor suite” at the “Presidential Inn” on the grounds of Joint Base Andrews.

An illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal history in the United States was indicted by a South Carolina grand jury last week for re-entering without authorization after he was arrested for drunk driving in December.
Sergio Ixtepan-Toto, 36, was arrested on Dec. 6, 2024, in Pickens, South Carolina, for driving under the influence after he almost crashed into another car on West Main Street in the town.
When a Pickens police officer attempted to pull Ixtepan-Toto over, he allegedly ran a stop sign and continued driving until he was boxed into a store parking lot by police officers.
A background check on Ixtepan-Toto obtained by FOX Carolina showed criminal charges in various jurisdictions within the state dating back to 2008.
His previous charges include speeding, driving without a license, domestic violence, indecent exposure and four prior arrests for driving under the influence.

Schools, churches, hospitals, funerals, weddings and public demonstrations were all ordered off-limits. Federal immigration authorities are now allowed to target those locations with “common sense.”

The final two sentences says it all. The first one is an outright lie and the second is throwing shade at the administration for being “unprincipled” and a plea for the uniparty …”nonpartisan” unless he means listen to the dims just because.

I read their limitations section and there was nothing about the very likely genetic (health and IQ) and lifestyle differences (including drug use) of the lower educated, those factors limiting whether or not those individuals would even attempt higher education or be able to succeed if they tried and the kinds of employment available to the lower educated which may be more physically demanding and depressing. All of those would lead to a shorter lifespan which would have absolutely nothing to do with their educational levels.

Good. That gives them more time to pay off their college loans.
It isn’t so much the study, as the conclusions the media tries to sell when they publicize these things.
I read an article about this back in maybe the late seventies, people were getting sick of hearing one day that coffee would kill you, the next day coffee was good for you, and so forth.
The articl was about some people who did studies, and they were saying that all they did was do proper study, and then say here is what we did and here is what we found, but then on the television news they would do a story making it sound like the study reached a conclusion which it hadn’t, which lead to mockery of the people doing the studies.
We saw a lot of this during covid, when the fact that surgeons wore masks in operating rooms was used to make people wear those things to prevent disease.
People can read, but they can’t think sometimes.
Among the best things that came out of COVID were the YouTube channels where the scientific articles were reviewed critically. Most of what I watched were discussions of articles from the preprint servers, aka not yet peer reviewed.
IIRC, Lancetgate was a result of crowdsourced critical review.
A few years ago, the journals could publish bad science and not get much blow back. Not so much anymore.
There is WAY too much reliance on peer review. Even THAT is corrupted by ulterior motives:

He is the author of five books, three of which cover the history or practice of modern psychiatry. He has won numerous awards for science writing, and in 1998 he was part of a team writing for the Boston Globe that was shortlisted for the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for a series of articles questioning the ethics of psychiatric research in which unsuspecting patients were given drugs expected to heighten their psychosis.
Whitaker was a medical writer at the Albany Times Union newspaper in Albany, New York from 1989 to 1994. In 1992, he was a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT. Following that, he became director of publications at Harvard Medical School. In 1994, he co-founded a publishing company, CenterWatch, that covered the pharmaceutical clinical trials industry.
In 2002, USA Today published Whitaker’s article “Mind drugs may hinder recovery” in its editorial/opinion section. In 2004, Whitaker published a paper in the non-peer-reviewed journal Medical Hypotheses, titled “The case against antipsychotic drugs: a 50-year record of doing more harm than good”. In 2005, he published his paper Anatomy of an Epidemic: Psychiatric Drugs and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America in the peer-reviewed journal Ethical Human Psychology and Psychiatry. In his book Anatomy of an Epidemic, published in 2010, Whitaker continued his work.
Articles that Whitaker co-wrote won the 1998 George Polk Award for Medical Writing and the 1998 National Association of Science Writers’ Science in Society Journalism Award for best magazine article. A 1998 Boston Globe article series he co-wrote on psychiatric research was a finalist for the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
In April 2011, IRE (Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the quality of investigative reporting) announced that Anatomy of an Epidemic had won its award as the best investigative journalism book of 2010 stating, “this book provides an in-depth exploration of medical studies and science and intersperses compelling anecdotal examples. In the end, Whitaker punches holes in the conventional wisdom of treatment of mental illness with drugs.”

True, that’s where the main damage comes in, but the study also makes those conclusions and is so incredibly flawed that one needs to wonder what their true motivations were for even carrying out the study which I’d guess pretty much boils down to: studies which reinforce the official narrative are the ones which get funded.
