It will be interesting to watch how this unfolds with new Intelligence Community heads moving into position to support or shape the request.
This specific Executive Order [SEE HERE] approach runs counter to my personal, albeit controversial, opinion on how the declassification of sensitive documents should be handled in order to deliver the highest level of transparency. However, this approach does keep the lawyers in charge of the executive office in legal control of the mechanics. The order essentially requires the nation’s security organizations to create plans to release the records.

Don’t get your hopes up. In my humble opinion this declassification request approach leads to nothing. Perhaps I will be wrong. I hope so, but prior experience shows big initial headlines and empty results.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Policy and Purpose. More than 50 years after the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Federal Government has not released to the public all of its records related to those events. Their families and the American people deserve transparency and truth. It is in the national interest to finally release all records related to these assassinations without delay.
The President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 required all records related to the assassination of President Kennedy to be publicly disclosed in full by October 26, 2017, unless the President certifies that: (i) continued postponement is made necessary by an identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or conduct of foreign relations; and (ii) the identifiable harm is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in disclosure. President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, section 5(g)(2)(D), Public Law 102-526, 106 Stat. 3443, 3448–49, codified at 44 U.S.C. 2107 note.
I previously accepted proposed redactions from executive departments and agencies (agencies) in 2017 and 2018, but ordered the continued re-evaluation of those remaining redactions. In the Presidential Memorandum of April 26, 2018, I also ordered agencies to re-review each of those redactions over the next 3 years and disclose information that no longer warrants continued withholding under the standard set forth in section 5(g)(2)(D) of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992.
President Biden issued subsequent certifications with respect to these records in 2021, 2022, and 2023, which gave agencies additional time to review the records and withhold information from public disclosure. See Temporary Certification Regarding Disclosure of Information in Certain Records Related to the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, 86 Fed. Reg. 59,599 (Oct. 22, 2021); Certifications Regarding Disclosure of Information in Certain Records Related to the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, 87 Fed. Reg. 77,967 (Dec. 15, 2022); Certification Regarding Disclosure of Information in Certain Records Related to the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, 88 Fed. Reg. 43,247 (June 30, 2023).
I have now determined that the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue. And although no Act of Congress directs the release of information pertaining to the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I have determined that the release of all records in the Federal Government’s possession pertaining to each of those assassinations is also in the public interest.
Sec. 2. Declassification and Disclosure. (a) Within 15 days of the date of this order, the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General shall, in coordination with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and the Counsel to the President, present a plan to the President for the full and complete release of records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
(b) Within 45 days of the date of this order, the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General shall, in coordination with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and the Counsel to the President, review records related to the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and present a plan to the President for the full and complete release of these records.
Sec. 3. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or
(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person. [LINK]
Here’s the alternative, controversial approach:
Dear Mr. President and White House counsel:
Understanding the ordinary process of declassifying documents is a request and authorization to the executive officers and stakeholders of classified information; and understanding the current authorization is not ordinary because the intelligence community stakeholders are averse to the interests of the office of the president; here is a process to cut through the chaff and countermeasures.
The background here is that any unilateral declassification request, demand or authorization by President Trump puts him opposition to a variety of corrupt interests.
As a direct result the executive office of the president will be facing legal action, likely from unified democrats and republicans in the legislative branch. With that accepted, here is the most strategic approach.
In anticipation of litigation:
President Trump informs the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, that he wishes to have a full intelligence briefing on the following documents (more may be added), all documents are to be presented without a single redaction:
The full and complete records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The full and complete records relating to the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The President selects a date for this briefing and through direct orders to his chief of staff, Susie Wiles and National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, informs the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, to advise and coordinate with all executive branch intelligence officials, who were/are stakeholders in the compartmented intelligence products as described above, of their request be present for the briefing.
The White House counsel’s office is not to be informed of the intent or purpose of the meeting; however, the Presidents’ White House counsel is requested to attend. Further, all of the compartmented intelligence is to be collectively assembled by the ODNI (Gabbard) into one volume of a singular Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB) although each set might be file boxes. There are to be eighteen printed copies of the PDB material assembled and secured for the briefing, post haste.
Additionally, the office of the president personally informs the ODNI (Gabbard) of the executives’ request to invite for the briefing each member of the legislative branch Intelligence Community oversight known as the Gang-of-Eight.
Immediately after the briefing by the executive level (cabinet) department officials, while remaining in a closed and classified session, the full and comprehensive content of this collective intelligence product will be discussed with the full assembly of the U.S. Legislative Branch Intelligence Oversight known as the Gang of Eight.
Therefore, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz is instructed to coordinate with the ODNI (Gabbard) for the attendance of the Gang of Eight: Speaker Mike Johnson, Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, HPSCI Chairman Rick Crawford, HPSCI Ranking Member Jim Himes, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, SSCI Chairman Tom Cotton and SSCI Vice-Chair Mark Warner. In order to facilitate the briefing. Each member of the participating group will be provided with one full printed copy of the material assembled by the ODNI during the briefing.
[Each of the participants carries the prerequisite clearances, legal and constitutional authority to engage with the classified documents according to their position and status. Only the executive can assemble the product for Go8 review and feedback]
At the conclusion of the briefing; and after hearing from, and engagement with, each of the participating members of the executive intelligence offices and duly authorized legislative oversight representatives; and after listening to their opinion as to the subject material discussed; the president announces to the fully assembled leadership of both the Executive branch (cabinet) and Legislative branch (Go8), it is his opinion the National Interests of the United States can best be served with the American people having a full, transparent and honest review of the material assembled and discussed.
The President, no-one else, only the President, [with his affirmed constitutional power and protection – as acting within his official duty] then collects the printed portfolios [or boxes] as they were distributed to the participants, exits the briefing, and walks directly into the James Brady press briefing room within the White House; handing each of the awaiting twelve members of the national media a copy of the briefing material to be published on behalf of the American people.
At exactly the same time as President Trump enters the briefing room, one copy of the assembled portfolio is hand delivered, by President Trump only, to White House communications director with instructions to scan and release the content to the public through the White House website.
Done.

He’s already kind of elimated the element of surprise. Knowledge of his intent puts in motion the gears of obstruction and obfuscatiin.
We have already heard who paid for the bullet, from Clifton Carter, former Executive Director of the DNC and close associate of Lydon Johnson. Lydon Johnson paid for the bullet. The recording of him detailing the reasons was posted on Info Wars.
There were many bullets. Which one?
There were two guns. I don’t know how many bullets.
But who gave him the money? What deal did he make and with whom?
It was a three headed conspiracy. LBJ and the Texans, the Mob crew, and the CIA crew. Three shooters, in a triangulated kill zone. A turkey shoot. The “Big Event” they called it.
The Texans controlled the turf and the immediate aftermath control, and the Mob and CIA (influencing its assets imbedded in USSS) provided the opportunity, the professionals and the patsy.
Wallace missed from the Depository, but the real professionals did not.
The CIA and LBJ had a long working relationship with the Mob. All three were facing an existential threat from the Kennedys.
All three groups handled the ‘clean up’, which involved a lot of later killings of the lower operatives and any witnesses, and strict adherence to the narrative.
All government assets were deployed to fabricate and enforce the narrative. LBJ would have the full powers of the Executive to control the clean up. And the CIA answered to no one at that point.
Hoover went along with it to save his job against Bobby, who was out of control at DOJ, and threatening Hoover’s control. And Hoover was fully compromised to the Mob, who with the CIA, had photos of “Mary” as insurance. The FBI would comply with the narrative and not interfere. The reward was a lifetime Directorship.
LBJ was about to be exposed by the Kennedys, and eventually sent to prison with Bobby Baker, for incredible corruption. The Texans were furious that their depletion allowance and war contracts were about to be taken away, and LBJ was their horse.
The Kennedys had betrayed the Mob who handed Jack the election in exchange for preferential treatment, and Bobby was instead on a jihad to destroy them.
And the Firm was beyond furious that Jack had completely betrayed them at the Bay of Pigs, was systematically threatening them, and was now preventing their beloved hot war in SE Asia.
Nixon was kept out of the loop, and he too was deposed once he got too close to it, and was also interfering with their war. His limited knowledge, and threat, of ‘The Bay of Pigs’ as he called it, was all that saved him from worse.
The Kennedys had made too many enemies, too quickly. All three groups were given desperate, irresistible motive.
And the old man was now too sick after his stroke to intervene to stop it.
The sons had acted too recklessly, against the wrong combination of forces. Bobby did as much to cause Jack’s death as Jack had. And when Bobby was tracking too close to exposing the plan in 68, he was taken out.
I doubt that any smoking guns are going to be found in any government documents at this point, or ever.
A major part of the clean up was to insure that there was no meaningful documentation of this operation, and that any suggestive documents, along with all persons they might identify, would be quickly eliminated.
The biggest component of the operation was its cover up, to destroy all evidence that it ever was planned or existed, other than Jack’s dead body.
The best substantive evidence that has and will emerge supporting this monstrous conspiracy will be the dead man recordings and other statements (death bed and otherwise) made by the participants themselves, to keep them alive through the clean up (which went on for at least a decade afterward).
And now that all the participants are dead, either naturally or otherwise, those hidden recordings and statements will continue to be discovered and seep out over time.
And to date, they all appear to support the above three headed conspiracy plan: LBJ and the Texans, the Mob, and the CIA.
I’m only going to add this.
The best thing we can do from a deep study of the Kennedy operation is to learn the best ways to protect PDJT from the next attempt.
The Kennedy Assassination is instructive on how to avoid the next one.
PDJT needs to not take on too many enemies existentially, too quickly. Take on one institution at a time, and divide and conquer them, a step at a time. Too much, too fast, will ensure a more sophisticated, collaborative attempt involving more resources and assets.
Don’t make the strategic mistake the Kennedys did of taking on everyone all at once.
And PDJT’s immediate protective bubble needs constant scrutiny and oversight. It is his first, and last, line of defense against these attempts. It is the one area that can be most easily controlled, and its integrity can defect and dissuade many of the plans against him.
There were fundamental USSS protocol failures in Dallas. And there were fundamental protocol failures in Butler.
Reduce the opportunity, vigilantly, with reinforced and fortified close protection.
From reading the small tea leaves so far, I am of the opinion that Butler was a neo-con side operation, with the blessing and limited participation of other affiliated government assets.
It was done on the ‘Ridge’ end of the state (where lingering Bush-era power remains considerable), an Austin TX investment group with Bush ties was caught placing massive shorts on Trump stocks the day before (and were quickly and quietly voided after the attempt), there were statements from neo-con assets such as Pompeo and Haley about the outcome of the RNC following day, and W Bush was nearly hiding from PDJT at the Carter funeral, refusing to even shake his hand.
I believe that the MAL attempt was a clumsy backup plan that was foiled only by a vigilant USSS agent.
But Butler was the main operation. And only a miracle from God saved PDJT that day. A miracle.
Make no mistake, the forces responsible for Butler and MAL will most likely try again. PDJT threatens their very existence. These are the same institutions that killed the Kennedys, took out Nixon, and nearly killed Reagan. They are vast and powerful forces spanning generations of participants.
We must protect PDJT constantly. We must also pray constantly for PDJT’s protection. Those prayers were all that saved him in Butler.
So always study Kennedy carefully, to save Trump.
I may be wrong but I never bought into the “the Mob ensured Kennedy’s election.” If that were true why would they (and Bobby later) go after the Mob as they did? Very dangerous yes?
The prevailing theory is that the father, Joe, Sr., engineered the win, principally in Chicago, but in many other labor union controlled cities, where the influence of organized crime was strongest.
The Kennedy sons were not fully aware of all the strings that the father pulled, and the debts placed, to elect his next eldest son, Jack. They had been separated from that other world of their father’s, and didn’t fully understand how the “sausage was made. They inherited the silver spoon that their father and grandfather had forged for them, not necessarily by honest means.
As FDR stated when appointing Joe Jr. as the first SEC chair to go after the lawbreakers, “it takes one to know one”. The old man was less than honorable in building the Kennedy fortune and empire.
Joe Sr. had a long history with organized crime in bootlegging throughout the 1920s. His connections are fairly accepted by contemporaries and historians. There are insiders in later written books that have detailed the calls to various bosses that the old man made down the stretch to assure Jack’s win.
Joe Sr. was completely obsessed with the political success of his sons, as the next generation of Kennedys. And he was willing to do anything to see that they won. And he did.
The problem was the boys thought they were impervious and immune from consequences, having been raised in a sheltered environment. And they did not fully understand the waters in which Joe, Sr. swam to create and facilitate their elite positions.
1960 was a 100,000 vote national win, primarily in Chicago.
The irony was that Richard Nixon had been formerly supported by the old man, understood what had happened in 1960, and further understood there was nothing he could do about it, where the Kennedy sons were involved.

He’s the cop behind the picket fence photographed aiming a rifle. The photograph is extremely blurred all about all you can make out is he’s wearing a cop’s uniform. Another guy who was sitting on the grass in front of him with his family ducked when he heard the bullet fly over him, and that guy was ex-military so he knew what gunfire was. Can’t recall where I picked up that data from, may have been a segment of the doco “The men who killed Kennedy” but could be wrong, it’s coming up to 30 years ago when I was looking into it.

The problem with a bit of information disappearing is that it creates obvious plot holes. Just like the Russia hoax, it is not hard to fill in plot holes. (The DOJ/FBI still think Sundance has a mole…but all he and others did was use other info to fill in the holes in the plot.)

But what many overlook is the fact that modern day forensics have already done a good job of presenting factual evidence that disproves much of the Warren Commission report as well as providing compelling evidence of multiple shooters and a broad conspiracy covering a wide range of interested/aggrieved parties. As much as I would like to see declassified documents you are correct in saying there has been plenty of time to sanitize them.
So now that President Trump has reignited the conversation should we be discussing the Butler, PA shooting through the prism of how the deep state actually operates and the possibility that no serious assassination attempt would be left to the performance of what was clearly a patsy?

Both Kash Patel and President Trump have said publicly that they have read the files. President Trump said if the person he was talking to had read them, that person would not have released them in full either.
The “give me a plan” time lag is included in the EO for a reason, and that reason is directly connected to putting San Altman, Open AI, and Larry Ellison in the spotlight, and is also connected to the Netanyahu’s government hanging by a thread, IMHO.

It seems to me that the current EO utilizes the silo-breaking approach you’ve suggested. It requires the DNI silo breaker and the AG Histice/FBI silo breaker to review all of the materials. Then they have to work with and through the National Security Advisor – who is there to ensure nothing is left out, redacted, or “revised” in some way.
It’s clear that whatever is in there – the legislation language gives it away – is institution-shattering.

Here’s what I think. He has ordered the DNI and AG to provide him a plan within 15 days. That means that by Feb 7 he will know whether the two of them will be useful to him or not. If they can’t produce a viable plan to declassify an assassination that happened 60 years ago, they will be utterly ineffective at anything else involving the agencies in their care moving forward.
You give key people a task that is nominally easy but will meet resistance from their underlings and see how they handle it. Either they clarify to their underlings who the boss is, or they cave. Better to know now than later.

The problem, as always, is getting the information to the person(DJT) who must also want to follow the Sundance plan. It is my understanding(?) that Sundance has an eye and ear in the White House who will explain to the President and maybe/maybe not, the President agrees.
