Obviously I don’t have the intel but I have been closely following the conflict since it broke out, not the Western propaganda bollocks version of it, but the real, actual reality as told by people who are retired intel and retired military professionals and who broadcast on daily podcasts, and many others on the ground, as well.
One of the things 47 could do, is ask for the satellite photos of all the Ukrainian gravesites, from the start of the war to today, and get someone in the NRO to count all the new gravestones. That’s hard evidence of a minimum. It doesn’t include people dead on the battlefield who haven’t got a gravestone and it includes natural causes. But it’s something that gives you a baseline minimum of both sides potential casualties, in a hard way.
See. What those retired American intel and military professionals have been saying is that the US intel services have been accepting without question whatever figures the Ukrainians have been providing, without any double-checking like what I just said.

It appears to me that PDJT47 is conflating casualties with killed. Even Russian sources this summer put Russian casualty figures (killed/wounded/captured) somewhere in the 600k range.
It’s a military maxim that attackers tend to suffer more casualties than defenders. Western intelligence “analysts” are incapable of being objective because our latest experiences with attacking (the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq) were relatively bloodless. (The ensuing occupations, not so much.) Add to that a dash of wishful thinking and a heaping spoonful of disdain for Russia, and you get outrageous estimates.
The last time I checked in on the special military operation (last night) it appears the Russians are still advancing almost at will.

Which is precisely why, since the Summer of 2022, Russia prepared to fight a war of attrition, which means, you build defences, which it did, without Ukrainian disturbance, all of that Summer and Autumn and Winter into 2023, and then, when the Ukrainian offensive was launched, finally, in Summer of 2023, it failed completely, made no gains whatsoever, and the second Ukrainian army was wiped out, forcing Ukraine to constitute a third army, which it started to do in late 2023, early 2024. This was also wiped out during the course of this last year, which is why Ukraine is now down to dregs.
This is why they’re looking to recruit children into the ranks, because everyone else in Ukraine has been wiped out, the only demographic left are the 18-25 YO’s.
The Ukrainians are only holding on because their drone production is being supported by the West. That is the only reason the Russians haven’t yet advanced to the Dneiper. But once the Russians take Pokrovsk, that is the last defensive line the Ukrainians have in the Donetsk. After that, it’s wide open to the Russians.

Because of what has happened last four years, Russia is no longer going to entertain membership of NATO as an attractive option to solve the wider security issue that is indeed on the table. It used to be keen on integrating with the West, but it’s lost a lot of blood and treasure over this conflict provoked by the West, and like almost all countries in the Global South, its going its own way with the BRICS in terms of forming an alternative trade system which does not involve depending on the Bretton-Woods institutions like the IMF, World Bank, BIS, etc.
Putin has said many times that a freeze or some kind of Korean-style demarcation is not an option. Because that would mean the West would re-arm Ukraine and the same problem would come back in 10-20 years, and that’s not acceptable.
So anything 47 offers Russia has to be permanent and it has to address Russian security interests and also EU security interests. The nature of that new security arrangement is really the only leverage 47 has.

I ask this as someone who believes that we have little to no business being involved in the Ukraine / Russia conflict. The Ukraine and Russia history goes back farther than ours as a nation. What would our reaction be in another country tried to separate the Louisiana Purchase from the USA? Indeed, Bush, Obama & Clinton policy set the kindling and fuel for the conflict.
Tony I could provide sources and evidence but we’re talking about hundreds of articles and thousands of hours of podcast vids which cover the various topics I’ve traversed on this particular thread. The podcasts I look at include all the people interviewed on Judge Nap’s YT channel, over last four years, all the shows from the Duran, last four years, all the shows from Dialogue Works last four years, all the shows from The New Atlas last four years, most shows from Daniel Davis Deep Dive last year or so, all the shows and articles from Scott Ritter’s Tour of Duty and various other channels. Also, all the articles from the subscriber version of Simplicious’s Garden of Knowledge on Substack, all the articles from Sonar21, all the posts from Reminiscence of the Future. I take the venn diagram intersects from all of those sources and where several or more of those all say a similar thing about a particular aspect, not just once but over time, I generally take it as “this is really what is going on” notwithstanding fog of war etc.

I do recall I got the idea about using satellite photos of the gravesites to verify a baseline minimum from Larry Johnson’s site at Sonar 21 and from various interviews he was a guest on, at one or more of those other channels.

I do promise however that I never, ever, say something that I think is false, and I do not make up fantasies in my own mind just because I want a certain set of conditions to be so. This statement of yours is hubris. He pardoned people who were CONVICTED. He used that word specifically and reviewed the violent offenders before comuting their sentences. That is not extending his powers; it’s an actual power of the office explicitly called out in the Constitution.

That Oval Office press conference while signing Exec Orders was super interesting at the things Trump made a point of saying, including the war numbers in Ukraine.
I saw it as a nod to Putin, acknowledging to the World that he sees what Putin has had to put up with to protect his Country, and the rest of the world, from the USUKNATO Laundrymat’s manipulations.
