Curious….why didn’t DJT put his hand on the Bible(s) when taking the oath today, but on January 20, 2017 he did? JD put his hand on the Bible today.
I can’t tell that he didn’t. Roberts didn’t tell him too but he used his mother’s Bible before.
Roberts started the oath before the family was fully in place, and didn’t give time for anyone to get situated.
It’s like Roberts wanted to rush through it and just get it over with.
Robert’s bad for being so thoughtless. Technically I guess raising one’s Right hand to take an oath trumps having the hand on the Bible? Is that a first for any President to not ‘swear on the Bible’ when taking an oath?At least the final words of the oath are ‘So help me God’, so imho then…it’s all good.

I was just pondering if the oath is 100% valid technically or is the Bible simply a ritual element and has nothing to do with ‘law’. Not everyone takes the oath with the bible. I think they choose how they want it to be done with respect to that.

It’s blue with red dots — it looks purple, but up close you can see the two colors.
Purple represents the swing states, which Trump won all of, thereby granting his mandate.
