Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1b visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the G1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.

I am not discounting the above, I’m not defending insurance companies. But, it doesn’t take a lot of brain power for someone at an insurance company to figure out ‘we are f@cked’.
I notice that so many people I know are having their claims denied, as well as policies cancelled. Auto, and home insurance. And we all know what health insurance is like to deal with. I saw a video on X yesterday of a doctor who was called out of surgery to talk to someone from an insurance company trying to deny the cancer patient he was operating on coverage of her stay in the hospital, wanted her to come out of major surgery and just go home.
Also, one of my sons is an owner/operator trucker, and many truck manufacturers are denying warranty claims that are actually covered. Especially for the independent drivers. The big trucking firms apparently have enough clout to fight with them, but they figure the little guys can’t afford the fight. Which is what the insurance companies count on.
We are paying insurance companies thousands of dollars for peace of mind and protection, and no one holds them accountable to fill their contracted end of the bargain.
About ten years ago, when we still lived in our log cabin, we had a fire. It didn’t burn any logs, but did major, but repairable damage. Allstate did pay, although I had to fight like hell with the guy who was handling the claim for the contents of the house, and ultimately go over his head. But as soon as the claim was paid, the one and only claim we’d ever made, they cancelled for “excess” of claims. Also, the fire was caused by a short in an appliance. They took it to a lab, trying to find a way to go after the manufacturer. So, nothing we did that caused it. But they can cancel on you after you use the policy for the reason you bought it. Or, as in California, before you even do. Take the money and run, all legal.
My father owned a very successful wholesale produce company when I was a kid. He had trucks going all over the country, and he dealt with railroads bringing loads of tomatoes in.
A million times as we grew up, he told us, never trust the banks, railroads, and insurance companies. They will screw you every time. You get them first.
Now, I don’t practice that advice, because it’s against my own belief system. But, he was right about all three of them.

The State of CA refused State Farm’s request to raise rates. State Farm analyzed all of the risks of insuring homes in canyons next to dried hills with poor management by CA politicians and realized that they only way to mitigate the risks to them is to raise rates. CA said no. So State Farm canceled policies and declined to write new ones.
CA has a “last resort” insurance program called FAIR. That is where people go to have CA “insure” their property. But it is hugely expensive. My brother’s insurance was canceled and no one else would insure him because he lives up a canyon and has dried vegetation on the hills surrounding his home. So he switched to FAIR. It cost him $10,000 per year. He did that for 2 years and then sold the house.
I would like to know what CA was going to charge, for example James Woods, for the pleasure of purchasing insurance from the CA FAIR program. If my brother’s inland tract home was $10,000 per year then I cannot fathom how much it would have cost for a mansion on the coast.
I am not defending State Farm. I despise insurance companies. I think that it is a combination of eco-terrorist politicians and greedy insurance companies who make people jump through hoops before they pay a claim.

L.A. Officials Complain There Aren’t Enough Firefighters — After Firing Hundreds Who Refused to Take COVID Vaccine
As fires rage across Los Angeles, city officials are complaining there are not enough firefighters to manage the situation.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said that the department was incapable of managing such a massive natural disaster.
“There are not enough firefighters in all of Los Angeles County to address four separate fires of this magnitude,” he said.
“The LA County Fire Department was prepared for one or two major wildfires, but not the four. This is not a normal red flag alert.”
While their lack of manpower is completely understandable given the incredible ferocity of the fires, it is worth noting that many firefighters were fired for their refusal to take the COVID vaccine.
As pointed out by the popular End Wokeness account X, local news media even ran reports back in 2021 about how firefighters had their employment terminated after refusing to provide proof of vaccination or requesting an exemption.
In fact, a group of hundreds of the city’s firefighters even filed a lawsuit against the city for violating their constitutional rights.
But … those firefighters are still alive. They did not “die sudde”

The almond farmers are here now, where I live just planting their orchards.
Currently, potable water costs around $1.00 for 300 gallons.
As the almond farmers drive the water table deeper and deeper, that price will go up, as will the price of drilling wells, and many people here have their own wells.
Almond trees take a lot of water. So send Northern CA’s water out to sea instead of sending it to Southern CA where it will replenish these wells and the aquifer beneath?

CA used to discriminate by race on program access. The courts stopped that, so now the state programs go by zip code or “economically or environmentally impacted areas”. Wink, wink. In CA poor white people can go f*ck themselves if they live in the wrong zip code. (not in the ghetto or barrio).
