Hollywood actor James Woods is one of a small group of honorable, decent, God-filled men of film and art. Woods is also well known on social media for his snarky push back against the evil elements in the world of politics.
James Woods was at the epicenter of the Pacific Palisades fire when it began. He evacuated with his wife, but it appears they have lost their home and all their belongings. Friend of the Treehouse Peter Duke has posted some incredible images of the aftermath [SEE HERE]

(Reuters) – […] Five separate fires burned in Los Angeles County, all of them 0% contained according to state officials, including a pair of conflagrations that held the city in a pincer move.
On the west side, the Palisades Fire consumed 15,832 acres (6,406 hectares) and 1,000 structures in the hills between Santa Monica and Malibu, racing down Topanga Canyon until reaching the natural fire break of the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. It was already one of the most destructive fires in Los Angeles history.
To the east, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Eaton Fire claimed another 10,600 acres (4,289 hectares) and killed at least five people, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna told KNX radio. Private forecaster AccuWeather estimated initial damage and economic loss at more than $50 billion. (read more)

Two new fires, one in the hills and another in studio city. No water.
Lots of water. No Leadership.
Proverbs 28:28
When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Yes, Lord!
Once again – Feb 2024 that that reservoir at top of Palisades has been sitting empty

“This was supposed to be the water to put out the Palisades fire.” The FP’s Austyn Jeffs visits the Santa Ynez Reservoir that has reportedly been empty since February 2024.
There’s lots of seawater if they want to use it.
That had all the water they needed right in their back yards. Most if not all of them had pools.
Harbor Freight sells 2″ 158 GPM or 3″ 290 GPM that will run a fire hose attachment that can extend out a long ways. I have 2″ and 2″ PVC that I can run to bottom of my 15K Gal pool.
I think they could have had a fighting chance if they would have used their heads and did some planing for the occurrence of a fire, which is a high likelihood in their area.
This is a complex of meta fraud
Like Covid 19 was a complex of frauds in industry, medicine, government, business, media
the Hollywood fires are a complex of incompetence, corruption, fraud, scams, and evil
these neighborhoods will be rebuilt as Blade runner hell scapes and there are developers lined up to make it happen
In the case of the houses, they had all the water they need right in their own back yards.
Every one of those houses have pools. I have a pool, and I have a Harbor Freight 2″ pump that can pump out water, 158 GPM, out of a fire hose from my pool through a 2″ section of PVC with an L in it, that I can run down to bottom of 15K gallon pool.
Sure the hydrants may have been dry, but they have all the water needed to control the fire right in the back yards.
And you going to tell me that if the homes would have had a rig like I describe that they could not have kept house from burning down? Maybe not, but at least a chance, a good chance, a heck of a lot better than a 1/2 garden hose. And they could just as easily had purchased a 3″ pump ($400.00) that would put out 290 GPM.
They live in a high fire zone, and none of them thought of this?
… and a full wetsuit and mask and scuba tank and regulator so you can jump in the pool and protect yourself if a firestorm sweeps over your property
Learned this about LA mayor Karen Bass today;
In the mid-1970s she was an organizer for the Venceremos Brigade, a pro-Cuban group that organized trips by Americans to Cuba.[17] She visited Cuba eight times in the 1970s.[
My cousin made many trips to Cuba over his lifetime, carrying suitcases of notebook paper, pencils, chalk, bandages, first aid kits, etc. sponsored by his church. Many of the young people who were part of the Venceremos Brigade were SDS students in the 1960’s in opposition to the Vietnam War, not communist firebrands. I don’t think her visits to Cuba have anything to do with her short-sighted policies.
Come to your own conclusions.
The Venceremos Brigade is an international organization founded in 1969 by members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and officials of the Republic of Cuba.[1] It was formed as a coalition of young people to show solidarity with the Cuban Revolution by working side by side with Cuban workers, challenging U.S. policies towards Cuba, including the United States embargo against Cuba. The yearly brigade trips, which as of 2010 have brought more than 9,000 people to Cuba, continue today and are coordinated with the Pastors For Peace Friendship Caravans to Cuba.[citation needed] The 48th Brigade travelled to Cuba in July 2017.[2]
Life is tough, tough times make tough people, California just got handed a bill that nobody can cover, not on this planet.
When I was young California was cool, innovative, intelligent, artistic, the people were cutting edge but somewhere somehow the queer, diversity bull crap was slipped in. Reasonable people left morals, character, GOD, for what was thought to be a great idea.
azuza street revival, 1906. When California brought in a great revival for not only a state but a nation. Then Lucifer got the ear of some moron with a lust for power and ignored what seed was sown.
These are people lost because they thought too much of themselves, now we see just how fragile we really are.
The very ground you stand on, the air you breathe, the life God gave you, is temporary and nothing is a given except what you see in California right now. That, is what Satan plans for us all and by Gods mercy we are protected.
Just imagine if the voices were all calling for repentance and revival instead of this lie of ‘diversity’ or ‘inclusion’, ‘tolerance’? Words that only have a one sided meaning for the corrupt.
I believe California has a hell of a lot more to come. They turned from salvation, they were given a great gift, as America was also. Rebuke the lies and speak the truth. Judge as judges who were given an edict, because we were. Or not! Life will go on and the just will prevail, choose wisely.
CM-TX posted an excellent video clip earlier down thread on this topic. I recommend it.
SDS itself was a violent group of anarchists. They were not simply against the Vietnam war. A best friends older brother was a member, and he/they were Marxists.
Had those benevolent young people brought Bibles as well as school supplies, maybe they could have made a difference, but then they would have to know it as well.
the beginning of The New Left….
SDS was far left radical …along with The Weather Underground….subversive agitators.
The SDS planted bombs, assassinated police, were models for Antifa. They nurtered Obama and our Leftists like Fonda and her scum.
So SDS was both anarchist and communist..what else can you come up with? You clearly no nothing about sds. So tired of coming on this site and hearing the same old bs about the 60’s generation, you know the ones who were slaughtered in Vietnam for no reason.
There was a reason! The MIC loves selling war for profit.
I think there is a case to be made that anarchy is a revolutionary tool. Recruiting and cultivating criminal elements as destabilization agents is well documented. For example, Stalin was himself a gangster in Baku. Anarchy, loss of security, crime, failing infrastructure and corruption all work toward revolutionary ends, delegitimizing existing systems and governments.
As to SDS, for discussion let’s assume they were mostly decent folks with good intentions. There were factions and splits at the height of the conflict within SDS. Elements of those factions were socialists; some were likely outright communist. The movement was NOT just about Vietnam. The question is about organizational leadership, and allyship. Check their friends list, you are the company you keep
Laying bare my personal bias, growing up in Calif in the 60/70s, I have no fond memories of the Hippy/SDS crowd.
Your cousin was a Christian missionary. Bass was a fellow Communist, then and now.
Of course her deadly policies flow from that anti-God mess.
Any and all organizations that supported the Communists in Cuba in the 60s and 70s were fronts sponsored by international communism–that is, the USSR. Many of these fronts used religious organizations as patsies.
People like your cousin were Willing Accomplices to communist subversion of America, and to strengthening the communist oppression in Cuba.
The fact that some of the participants were not “communist firebrands” is exactly the effect desired by these fronts. Those non-firebrands were much more effective spreaders of communist subversion and oppression than overt communists.
It’s also an excellent case study of why it’s important to identify and root out such front organizations, and ignore the pitiful semi-psychos who ARE overt communists.
I totally agree. That same mind set is being used by Soros sponsored NGOs that undermine immigration policies and enhance unfettered immigration
In Salvador there was a front organization the Maryknollers, who were radical Marxists who supported the guerillas. In South America such “religious” organizations supported “liberation” theology. The Red Pope is one of these scum.
Right. She is a humanitarian in the same way Lenin and Stalin were. Show me a comrade who excuses these enablers and I’ll show you someone who aspires to man the ovens.
Belle: I had her pegged some years ago as Cuban-style Marxist. She’s not smart enough to be a European-style, Russian-style or Chinese-style Marxist.
Riiiiiiiiight…..
I remember reading about that years ago. I guess she also wrote love letters to some official in Cuba during that time. The letters were published in the article I read. Not a good person for American politics.
Bill deBlasio was also a member of that group.
Full-blown commies.
So is Sen Kaine of Virginia.
Does she remember seeing Maggie Trudeau hanging around with Fidel?
well, she got her wish as a Communist
burn down the Capitalist Pigs, crush and destroy the rich of Hollywood
when Communists say they want a revolution and they want to burn it all down, believe them
Californians voted for this and they will gladly vote for it again. This is liberalism in all its glory. Liberals love it.
No. The Californians did not vote for this. Voter fraud voted for this. Newsom is an illegitimate governor and he’s wrecked California.
Both you and pvz are correct. Californians voted for Newsome in the first place. A perpetuation of the Leftist four families that rule California. The fraud did in fact defeat the people in tossing Newsome out of office.
However, the fraud aside, unless the fraud is used on all the propositions and amendments as well, look at the idiotic laws they continue to vote for. Sactuary cities, free needles for addicts, cities that look like Skid Row, environmental policies that stifle, if not kill incentive for business.
The Left has destroyed what is perhaps the most beautiful state in the union through their policies, and now they’re policies are burning it to the ground while the smelt and salmon swim upstream in the dam free river.
I read that Australia uses saltwater desalination processes. Why can’t CA employ this method also, instead of wasting money and effort offering healthcare to illegal border jumpers?
I’ll tell you why. The multinational corporations that fund political campaigns demand cheap labor on the taxpayer’s dime.
ECOs that own CA politics will not allow de-sal plants. They instead demand cutting water down to 50 gallons per day/ per household.
They always demand that the residents pay dearly for every one of the fruits of their ideology.
CA is the #1 foreign oil importer in the country. NIMBYism is the law here. Reality and sanity are forbidden in CA politics.
I was here when Reagan was gov. The dustbin called for CA after that, and here we are.
“salmon swim upstream in the dam free river.” “The Native Americans” cheering a return of the salmon are going to be very surprised to find that these salmon are a protected species for the rich people only to enjoy.
Photos of the damn free river feature thousands of dead fish in the polluted waters of the river. The consequences of their actions are of no importance to these idiots only the cause.
There’s nothing wrong with the fish being able to swim up a dam free river. We don’t need dams. Stop the stigma of nuclear power and there will never be an energy crisis again.
Well, we need reservoirs to store surface water for use as a potable water supply. So, yes, we certainly need dams. This from a dam engineer of 45 years. We need water. Rainwater catchment, wells and desalinization will not suffice. Desal, maybe in the future, but it has it’s own issues with brine waste disposal.
In general, the human can survive for:
https://thesurvivaluniversity.com/survival-tips/wilderness-survival-tips/general-survival-tips/rule-of-three
Can’t one load the brine on a barge, take it a few miles into the Pacific Ocean, and dump it?
I regularly do 40 day water fasts. Most people can easily go well over 3 weeks without eating.
So you belive electricity just appears by magic?
Rest assured knowing that there is no place on Earth for the perpetrators of these crimes against humanity to hide.
Trust God.
Fear not.
Oh, anybody can hide out on Earth. It’s judgement day that nobody can hide from. Rest assured, that day WILL come.
Natalie Winters BLASTS Gavin Newsom: “Maybe You Should Be Added To The Preemptive Pardon List” (7:50)

I grew in the Pacific Palisades and graduated from Palisades High School. My sister and her husband, and my brother and his wife, are homeowners in different parts of the Palisades. Yesterday, both their houses burned down.
I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Such a tragedy.
My relatives live on the borderline of the second largest fire. They were up all night. I cannot imagine the stress of watching these fires advancing into your neighborhood.
It is an unspeakable assault.
I say ‘assault’ because I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The predictable Santa Ana winds plus dry underbrush are a recipe for disaster.
Where is the leadership? Controlled burns and water management would go a long way toward mitigating future damage.
Prayers up for you and your family as well Judith. 🙏🙏🙏

“One thing we know for a mortal certainty it won’t be ciphered out by the mayor of LA who long after the earliest embers that engulfed all of Pacific Palisades in an inferno was just a bit busy flying to Africa” (to show solidarity with the first female president of Ghana).
Sky News: “Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning and do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars? (no answer) Madame mayor have you nothing to say today? (no answer) Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today? (no answer) Elon Musk says that you’re utterly incompetent. (no answer) Are you considering your position Madame mayor? (no answer) Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster Madame mayor? (no answer) Let me ask you just again have you anything to say to the citizens today as you return? (no answer)”
If she were to answer truthfully, she might say something like this:
“Oooh! Fireworks!”
Fantastic reference from “The Patriot” when the crowns ships explode.
“Madame Mayor, why should you not be strung up by your thumbs for your total incompetency and lack of remorse?” Wonder if she would answer that question?
How horrible. And to think that those citizens can see the largest body of water on this earth from their house, BUT YET they had no water to fight those blazes. This is beyond incompetence folks. THIS is criminal. By the way, WHO in this country makes statements about property sizes in “Hectares”? We live in the United States Of America. We call land mass by Acreage, WHERE did this “Hectares” crap come from?
It is well known the history of fires in these hills. It is well known the history of dry desert Santa Ana winds that blow through like a blowtorch at times. And it was well known that underbrush thrives in wet winters (last year).
So they knew all of the potent contributors to the equation.
What did they do to augment the uphill water tanks to ensure downhill water pressure was not at risk in a major fire event? Nothing
What did they do to clear underbrush in the flanks and the canyons above the city?
Nothing
What did they do to enforce the clearing of nearby brush adjacent to the population zone?
Nothing
What did they do when the forecast was already showing life threatening wind, with no rain for 8 months in the hills and canyons?
THE MAYOR WENT ON A TAX PAYER PAID JUNKET TO GHANA.
What did the CA govt do (both Brown and Newsom) to augment water storage after the passage of a proposition by the voters to fund the effort?
NOTHING
No mitigation means the worst case scenario is virtually guaranteed.
Newsom will demand $10’s of billions of tax dollars. Much of it will never get to those that need it.
Let’s watch and see how the feds treat the Golden State compared to how the Hurricane Helene victims have been treated.
If the CA folks get the help they need, great for them. But it will underscore dramatically what we are dealing with in the federal govt.
Biden will gift Gavin billions, as yet another parting shot to the American republic as he goes out the door.
Thanks Sundance for posting the video.
I know YOU and many in MAGA are strongly behind James Woods. He is true american citizen. God Bless him and allow a Miracle to take place for him and his family in Spiritual Comfort and HELP.
I think the most important reality in these areas in California is that Insurers do not want to insure the homes there.
California is the biggest mess imaginable and yet people there still want to remain and live there.
California’s elections are mostly corrupt. They got a HUGE number of people responding to remove the governor and yet he survived the vote? “at the end” as with so many other extended-count elections?
At times like these, people need to gather from this that it is not merely inconvenience or a bit of pain. These people don’t care of you’re dead.
The paramedics who left the dementia patient in his home while ordering his care giver out? I don’t believe they were planning to pick him up later. Not for one minute. They were probably already prepared with excuses of every kind. They re dehydrating California to ensure this happens. The argument that some fish which are probably extinct by now (has anyone checked? Has that population of fish flourished or have they vanished?) needs the water more than the millions of people? It’s inhuman.
There was a big scandal and competing views about a hospital in New Orleans during Katrina. One single doctor who was not even on duty came in and ended up having to deal with the whole mess. No way to get patients out via land so they airlifted out those they could – but critically no one was in charge so they did not airlift in supplies and new staff to help those who were left. One man weighed 523 pounds and simply could not be airlifted out. He died. Lots of blame about whose fault that was.
Left blamed the sole doctor there – she was completely trashed. As usual, blame an individual and avoid focus on the organizational causes of the accident.
And the dementia patient was over 90 yrs old…
Never too old for the Democrats to abort…
Trust God.
Fear not.
It’s criminal. There is a case here for dereliction of duty and criminal charges.
Better to file civil charges, in the billions, than criminal.
It has been noted that (lunatic? terrorist? ) arsonists are at work: reporters in Los Angeles have in fact seen arsonists torching buildings.
It has also been noted – by my brother in southern California, for one – that the separation of the fires, especially given their intensity, is highly suspicious.

A ruse this is 100% Direct Electric Weaponery.
I just saw a video of Anderson Cooper reporting on site from a neighborhood of burning homes. He pointed out a strange occurrence: a medium large tree which had a burning hole in the trunk, about 3 feet off of the ground. The hole was about 9” inches (I think) diameter and burning inside, not outside, right down to the heartwood. Maybe there’s a logical explanation for this, but it looked like a hole burned by a laser. I’m probably reading more into it than I should.
That said, I suspect arson or Direct Energy weapons. There’s no question that’s what was used in Lahaina, and this is also valuable property.
Almost every year since 2020 there has been a major fire somewhere and arsonists behind them. I don’t care what they say about the Australian fires, arson was involved.
With all their satellites and various surveillance tools they never seem to catch these arsonists, nor the DC operatives who planted “explosives” on Jan 6, for that matter.
China’s boy-man Newsom accepts no responsibility for his gutting of water storage and all his other public safety failures.
His focus has been looting the Treasury and sexually-mutilating children.
Justice is coming, brothers, and fast as lightning.
Psalm 30:
8
To you, Lord, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9
“What is gained if I am silenced,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10
Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me;
Lord, be my help.”
11
You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12
that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
Lord my God, I will praise you forever.
Hear our prayer, O Lord!
Where are the words?
I can’t seem to find any…

“The Biden Administration Enacted A No Fly Zone Over LA, Blocking State And Local Firefighting Aircraft From Battling The Blaze”
This is 100% the wrong thing to do. There are very good established procedures for clearing the airspace around and downwind from a fire so that firefighting aircraft can get through and not hit each other or the terrain in the smoke and performance-damaging heat. What was the last time you heard of a mid-air collision with firefighting aircraft ? This industry learned from early accidents and did an especially good Safety Management System (SMS) review after a C-130 came closer than intended to rapidly rising terrain after unloading fire suppressant a few years back.
Failure to allow firefighting aircraft in the area was a specific deviation from known protocols. Oh, and by the way, also prevents video and sensors and critical information which would have been learned by that firefighting operation, if it had been allowed to happen.
Just saying …
DEI and self-righteousness at their finest.
Uh, no.
Perhaps an Olympic event in the Palisades (golf? Tennis? Marathon?) but not the Olympics. It’s a neighborhood, densely built, on/above the ocean, with zero infrastructure to support anything beyond a holiday parade.
There’s not a federal no-fly zone over LA. The 100mph winds are grounding the aircraft, not sleepy Joe.

According to Peggy Trainor Tierney (whose reporting on this is the best so far):
There are 911 calls of at least 5 arsonists caught on video responsible for the ongoing fires. Police have also detained an armed suspect wearing a bulletproof vest in Hollywood Hills.
You know this is just the tip of the iceberg. Wait two days.
Remember, NASA and others have thermal satellites that can detect small fires the moment they start. They use these all over the world to detect oil flares and other things. They know exactly where it started and how it spread. The Feds could have stopped it at any time but they chose not to.
These fires are starting simultaneously far away from each other – with no embers. This is NOT climate change, this is NOT negligence, this is purposeful evil destruction. Tell a friend.
Agree. If our enemies (without AND within) can’t get us one way, they try another way…and another… We have been sleeping for too long. Are we even beginning to wake up now? Our new President has been elected. YES!!!! But are we willing to stand up and support him in significant ways, or simply watch from the sidelines as he struggles to MAGA???
When the wind is blowing 60mph, with gusts well over that, a downed power line can start a fire quickly.
Methinks you’re reading your tarot cards upside down…
FWIW, have you lived in Socal and experienced Santa Ana winds? There’s a reason why the fire season isn’t in the summer there. The winds blow in Q4 not the summer, hence the preponderance of wildfires from Oct to Dec every year.
In 2017, I had been asked by my son-in-laws mother if I would like to join them for a girls weekend in California wine country. We were going to stay for a long weekend at a lovely home, an AirBnB in Calistoga. We would fly in and out of Sacramento and drive to several winery’s each day. There were 7 of us women. I had lived in Southern California for 35 years and had experienced wildfires and emergency evacuations in San Diego County. I knew how quickly they spread.
My Dad was a retired firefighter in CT – who had worked for over 40 years. Our family had great respect for what he did. I don’t even remember my mom burning candles in our house ever. Dad knew how many house fires that had been started by unattended candles. So needless to say, I had great respect for what he did, and the speed and massive destruction a fire can cause.
Back to Calistoga…. after a wonderful weekend of touring such a beautiful area, Sunday night the winds picked up. When we left a little restaurant in town, the wind was so incredibly strong that it was hard to close the door of the building. In northern California, they call it “diablo” winds, unlike what it is called in Southern California where it is called Santa Ana winds. Regardless, you can’t imagine how powerful the wind is.
We returned to our vacation home and talked and drank wine while watching the crazy winds out of the window from the hill the house was located. Some of the girls had gone to bed because we were leaving the next morning. One of the girls just happened to notice a fire in the distance and said, Gee, I think that house is on fire. Well, with the winds blowing a fiercely as they were, I started to panic. We got the rest of the girls up, and one called the owner of the house who recommended we should probably leave. God forgive me, but I went into full on panic mode and started hyperventilating trying to explain to the girls that we needed to get out NOW.
The house was at the top of a long dirt driveway. The few homes were very large and we were in the last house at the end of the drive – at the top of the hill. Only one way in and one way out. When everyone agreed to get out, we got to our vehicles in the driveway, and realized that an old tree had blown over, blocking the exit. Now here are seven women, two cars, and none of us strong enough to move this tree out of the way. We ran back into the house to try and find something to help us get out – a saw or something (seriously, we were desperate). We found some kind of straps – I think like the kind you use to tie things down on a truck when you move things. Now this is where it gets kinda funny…. We couldn’t get the strap around a bumper so we put it around the driver’s seat with an open window. It worked! We were able to move the tree just enough to get around it and down the driveway.
We drove to the nearest intersection where there was a gas station and called family to let them know we were okay. No one was even aware that the fire was raging where we were staying. A firetruck had pulled up and we ran over to ask the firefighter what we should do and where we should go. They didn’t know. You cannot imagine the total chaos and panic that happens in this type of a situation. We prayed in the car. Then we decided to try and leave by way of backroads to get to Sacramento. The scenes you see of cars driving while debris is flying everywhere and flames are on either side of the road is what we experienced. Some places clear across the street were on fire. Embers were caught up in the wind and starting fires everywhere. We didn’t know if we were going to get out of there and prayed constantly.
God was with us as we were able to drive away and made our way to Sacrament near the airport by like 2 in the morning.
One of the gals who was with us had purchased about $300 worth of wine and was lamenting that she should have loaded it into the car before we left. I never responded, but my heart hurt so much to hear this (did I overreact?). To this day, I’m still stunned by this comment. I do wonder, if after listening to some of the accounts of people leaving like James Woods, will she realize what a foolish thing this was to say (out loud).
I have never panicked like I did that night. I kept saying, “No, you guys don’t understand. We gotta get out of here NOW!”
I guess it was my Dad, whispering in my ear, I dunno. But God spared us that night.
Watching the footage of what is happening in Southern California to me brings so many memories back and I’m in Calistoga, terrified that we were going to perish. I am a pretty sober person – not prone to drama or anything like that. But let me tell you, PTSD is real and it’s with me as I watch what is unfolding in CA.
4 years ago, my family members who were keeping us in the state decided to move. Within days, we put our house on the market and I’ve never looked back. I still have business associates and very dear dear friends in the state. When I go back to visit, it is very bittersweet. We had a lovely home in a beautiful area, and lovely friends. But frankly, the state is run by absolute idiots.
State Farm, who was my insurance company stopped writing policies in CA. I didn’t realize that they had dropped existing clients, and that is tragic.
I’m thankful to God Almighty that we were able to leave the state when we did. I know many people in my new state resent California transplants and part of me understands that. Not everyone who is a transplant is solid blue. We were far from that. San Diego County has a LOT of military and up until about 20 years ago, was pretty conservative. A lot has changed in the whole state since we moved there in the early 80’s. It’s very very sad.
I do hope that as Adam Carolla said in this clip is true – that a lot of angry people are going to turn on the stupid leadership that they continue to vote for. Unfortunately, it’s too late for the people who’ve lost everything.

In regards to the wine issue … well, there is a place in this world for all of God’s children. I had a serious inflight emergency once. My crew were fantastic and we got the airplane on the ground safely – in a remote Northern location. After hours of making sure passengers were handled appropriately we all ended up in the only sparse hotel in town. We assembled in one of the largest rooms for a crew debrief and I was delighted to learn that my quick-thinking flight attendants had the presence of mind to bring a good supply of liquor from the carts ! They were very happy to be in one piece and I was very happy for their post-emergency thoughtfulness. So, God Bless All of us, including the ladies who remember the wine after the emergency is over.
“there is a place in this world for all of God’s children”
Yes, I try to think this when I remember everything that happened that night.
Something I forgot to mention – My daughter has seizures and God watched over us that night because with all of the stress of everything that happened, she could have had one…but didn’t. Again, grace from God above. I don’t understand God’s plan and the mercy He gave us that night.
Don’t forget – Jesus changed water into wine. It’s not the wine itself – it’s knowing when to stop.
Your friends were very fortunate to have you along. No doubt you saved their lives. I would have lamented the loss of the hand picked Cali vino as well. Shallow, I know. I love the CTH & the format that allows for such honest story telling. I too hope Adam Corolla is prophetic.
I don’t think it’s such bad form to grab a bottle of wine on the way out. It may have helped them relax, if nothing else! Panicking and hyperventilating are not conducive to sound decision making.
Much respect and admiration for James Woods.

Sad. Horrible. Unimaginable incompetence.
Not unimaginable. No. One has only to look every day, in every way, at the current administration still in power in DC. THAT is unimaginable incompetence — on steroids.
Incompetence? No! It’s a feature not an error. Planned by your leadership for your nisery.
you’re being way too nice… this is manufactured, deliberate evil
When do the tribunals for B ASS & Newscum begin for criminal negligence…
California native, California elections are rigged but, only some voting areas need to be rigged and vote counting long past needed unless cheating. The Palisades area voted nearly 80% Harris. I believe we get what we vote for, California shifted red some in 2024 which give me hope.
I hope Adam Carolla’s opinion link below is correct and comes to fruition.

IMHO, California has not had a legimate election since Proposition 8 failed to pass.
Liberals were shocked, angered and dismayed when their pets (blacks & hispanics) did not vote to pass gay marriage. After they were done persecuting everyone who donated to pro-family groups, including the creator of Firefox and the Java programming language, Brendan Eich, they made sure nothing like that would ever happen again.
Listen to that Perot sucking sound as billions of taxpayer money leaves the State for good. CA has been a sheet show for decades. So glad I left, excuse me, escaped.
They’ve hated the way of The Most High, so He graciously gave them over to their demands & He said to them… thy will be done

There was No Water in the Fire Hydrants in Los Angeles (LA)
to put out the fire. LA was burned to the ground.
You mean Lahaina (Lanai is a different island in Maui County owned by Ellison). The “fire hydrants” were not an issue, but played into the ongoing water rights issues on Maui, which also involves native Hawaiian rights.
Democrat politicians have systemically destroyed California.
I’m sorry for your loss, Mr. Woods, but however painful, it is merely “stuff.” I am not sorry for the incontrovertible fact that Pacific Palisades and most of the county voted at least 70% Democrat. The vast majority of your Hollywood friends proudly support, with cash, the environauts who, peacock proud, steered the California ship of state into this disaster. Most of you will continue to elect and re-elect the members of the California legislature who, with Governor Newsom, brought on or, at the very least, laid the foundation for this debacle.
I thought Pacific Palisades voted for that Caruso guy for mayor?
Can’t see this as a D bad, R good issue. You get high winds, dry climate and there will be fires. The fire doesn’t care if politicians have a D or R by their name. In the foothills and even much of the mountain area in LA County, except parts of the San Gabriels, I can’t see “controlled burns” as feasible. Certainly in the LA City/County portion of the Santa Monicas, it is mostly small-holdings with people having a few horses and whatnot. Had family that lived in the foothills side of Sunland, I think was actually LA City not County, and if there was fire that whole area would clearly go up in smoke.
Excellent.

That last picture should win a Pulitzer. Caption should be “The state of California-2025”. (an empty fire hydrant surrounded by burned down houses).
The talking heads’ comments in this disaster and all others are generally inane.

No “leader” is willing to be the bearer of the truth. They need to create massive firebreaks. If they don’t treat this like the forest fire it is they’ll burn that whole end of the state down.
Nobody wants to be the one to call for bulldozing and blasting firebreaks through cities. Nobody is willing to step up and speak that truth, that they have to write off entire cities at this point and cut fire breaks wide enough to contain the damage before it spreads hundreds of miles.
Scrambling CA homeowners consider ‘going without insurance’
Jul 03, 2024
https://www.kcrw.com/news/shows/kcrw-features/state-farm-insurance-wildfire
Ray Barrios lives in one of many large, single-family homes that line the squiggly, narrow streets of Brentwood. The community is manicured. Planned. Developed. No “wildland urban interface” here. The flammable hills just north of this LA neighborhood that look like typical tinder – open dry grass or trees with dense undergrowth – feel far away.
Not far enough, according to the home insurance industry.
Barrios and many of his neighbors are among 30,000 State Farm customers in California who will begin losing their home insurance policies today. Most of the affected customers live in high fire-risk areas, which in Southern California includes parts of Woodland Hills, Pacific Palisades, Bel-Air, and Brentwood.
The tax base is burning up.
Homeless arsonist sparked 9 fires in November, including in East County: Cal Fire
On Nov. 20, Allen Dinoyo lit six separate fires, all within two hours, in Jamul and nearby Dehesa and Rancho San Diego. according to Cal Fire
December 2, 2024
https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/homeless-arsonist-sparked-9-fires-in-november-including-in-east-county-cal-fire/3689620/
A homeless man was arrested over the weekend, accused of setting a string of fires around San Diego County throughout the month of November.
Investigators with Cal Fire Law Enforcement, who arrested Allen Dinoyo on Saturday on multiple felony charges, allege his arson spree began on Nov. 10 when he lit a fire in the East County community of Jamul.
Exactly 10 days later, officials said in a news release issued Monday, Dinoyo than lit six separate fires, all within two hours, in Jamul and nearby Dehesa and Rancho San Diego. One of the fires on Nov. 20 in Jamul prompted an evacuation warning and road closures near the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge and charred 11 acres near Miller and Campo Roads.
A second fire that day in Jamul burned along Proctor Valley Road. Firefighters quickly gained control of both fires, but they kept crews working throughout the day containing the fires and putting out hot spots.
Then, exactly 10 days after that, on Nov. 30, according to investigators, Dinoyo sparked two more fires, one in La Mesa and another in San Diego.
What Started L.A.’s Firestorm? Hint: It’s Not ‘Climate Change.’

https://pjmedia.com/victoria-taft/2025/01/08/what-started-las-firestorm-we-have-some-ideas-n4935774
Blaming these fires on “climate change” when there’s little to no fire mitigation (clearing brush, trimming undergrowth, managing forests) and allowing millions of acre-feet of water to be washed out to sea are also really dumb ideas. Maybe these dumb ideas are what they mean by “man-made” climate change.
It’s hard to ignore the record.
Fire officials say that homeless camp wildfires doubled from 2020 to 2023 to 13,909. There were 24 “homeless related” fires in LA County responded to every day of 2021.
According to NBC 4 in L.A., some of the homeless campfires started from campers illegally hooking up to underground electricity outlets. That’s what caused a fire in Hollywood.
The I-Team discovered that some of these encampment fires are apparently caused by homeless people tapping into city electrical wires under the sidewalk, meant to bring power to streetlights, and diverting the electricity into their tents.
Here are just a few recent wildfires started by drug-addled “homeless” campers.
Jan 7, 2025: Santa Ana Riverbed Fire one acre, destroyed tents, RVs, and at least 12 cars.
Nov. 14, 2024: Van Nuys, impacted commuters on freeways throughout San Fernando Valley.
May 2024: Hollywood Boulevard, aforementioned electrical fire, threatened nearby buildings.
Jan. 7, 2024: Hollywood, Cahuenga Pass, during high winds. Two cars and some trees were destroyed.
April 20, 2021: Venice Beach, one home was destroyed and a dog killed. Believed linked to a string of homeless encampment fires in the area.
There are more. A homeless encampment fire nearly got to the Getty Museum a few years back.
The response has been next to nothing by county and state officials. Gavin Newsom’s plan to help the homeless has resulted in missing billions of dollars and a nearly doubling of the homeless population.
A Bum’s campfire got out of control in a windstorm in my town. The fire quickly spread and burned up a dry vegetated hill threatening homes. Our local fire crews with working fire plugs close by, were on the scene almost instantly and extinguished the fire (aprox 1acre) before it damaged any structures.
This resulted in much stronger enforcement of out cities No Camping laws. Bums are rousted out and sent packing buy local Law Enforcement. The only place in town Homeless bums are tolerated is in in the cities homeless camp next to the sewer plant. On cleared land where they cant start fires.
Fire hydrants ran dry in Southern California just when they were needed most
January 8, 2025
https://apnews.com/article/wildfire-california-climate-603512236222f82c77901db1039e959f
The water system used to fight the Palisades fire in Los Angeles buckled under the demands of what turned out to be the most destructive fire in city history, with some hydrants running dry as they were overstressed without assistance from firefighting aircraft for hours early Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was pumping from aqueducts and groundwater into the system, but demand was so high that it wasn’t enough to refill three 1-million gallon tanks in hilly Pacific Palisades that help pressurize hydrants for the neighborhood. Many went dry as at least 1,000 buildings were engulfed in flames.

The new LA FD requirement that All Firepeople carry purses is really working out well.
In these Woke DEI times desperate times call for desperate measures.
Former construction worker Adam Corolla rants about what bureaucracy reality the wealthy blues will face when they go to rebuild after the fire and try to get permits to build with all kinds of requirements that didn’t exist when their homes were built many years ago with the associated delays. Language warning.
Instead of spending 10s of billions (Payoffs and corruption) on a “Highspeed train” you could have built multiple desalination plants to provide unlimited water resources.
Over paid bureaucrats and incompetence starts at the top in California and goes all the way down and it’s sad to see what is happening so keep on voting for Progressive (lazy communist) California because it’s gonna get worse.
Wait until these people have to keep paying their taxes on empty lot or else and BlackRock and vanguard and others will gladly slurp up your property with the help of Newscum

“BREAKING: President Biden announces that the federal government will cover 100% of the initial disaster response costs for the Los Angeles wildfires for the next 180 days.”
WNC and other states impacted by Helene? Go pound sand.
I expected that this would be the WH response. Absolutely disgusting the levels of politics that determine the response for disaster areas.
Two Things:
Those on the left who blame “Climate Change” for what happened better understand something: Climate Change is just an idea, a theory, a narrative. As such, they are not sentient beings. The use of “Climate Change” in this context is what is called an Anthropomorphism, attributing abilities to think and act for rational purposes to entities that cannot do that. Something like accusing a CAR of running over people, or a gun as shooting people in a school. Humans drive cars and shoot guns. Those objects can’t do those things.
Only humans can be responsible for having adequate policies and plans to monitor the level of wild fire risks at a point in time. Only humans can devise plans to mitigate the risks of wild fires. Only humans can plan to RESPOND to an actual wild fire. “Climate Change” can’t do any of that. However, if Climate Change is REAL, then its existence means humans MUST devise plans to mitigate the risk of wild fires, monitor the present probability of wild fires at point in time, and respond to wild fires as they appear. When humans responsible for performing those kinds of tasks do not perform them, a disaster can be the result.
James Woods spent endless hours on Twitter, in 2018, helping search for loved ones of people who contacted him on Twitter during the Camp Fire wild fire. Mr. Woods helped reunite family members who lost contact with each other evacuating from the Camp Fire, and the other 2018 wild fires. For the leftists on X who loved to rub it in that James Woods lost his home in this fire, and, like so many others were unable to get fire insurance on his home due to State regulations about not only rebuilding their homes, but actually CLEANING UP THE PROPERTY so the house can be rebuilt. It takes over a year to get the permits, one to clean up, the other to build. Insurance companies dropped insureds in these high risk areas. James Woods put many hours a day helping other people during wild fires in California. His Karma, when it comes to wild fires, has no reason to dump on him, and, again, “Climate Change” has no control over how humans prepare for, and respond to, WILD FIRES. Most of the people responsible for the inadequate responses to these wild fires were politicians belonging to the Democratic Party. That is why they decided to, as they are wont to do, hit someone when he’s down, even though James Woods helped a lot more wild fire victims than the leftists on X ever did.
I live 20 miles from Altadena (Eaton Fire).
The wind in L.A. County last Tuesday evening was very powerful. I was walking out of a grocery store and a headwind almost kept me from going forward. Luckily, my husband was pushing the grocery cart. I don’t think I could have done it.
This is very unusual for sunny So Cal.
LA’s woke government addresses two of its biggest problems – the severe shortage of housing and persistent air pollution – by burning down thousands of houses.
Heart-wrenching! James Woods pointed out 2 very important things: (1) Know your neighbors because when disaster strikes the government isn’t coming to save you. Even if they wanted to, the disaster was just too big for the government to handle. You have to help your friends and neighbors. (2) Be prepared. Gas in your car. Important papers, valuables, necessities, pets packed and ready to go if danger seems imminent. Don’t wait to be told to evacuate.
Like the Hawaii fire, it would seem a 2nd prime land grab via yet another manufactured fire…
LAFD + LGBT + Newsom = CA Armageddon
17 million cut from firefighter budget, newscum refused to build reservoirs to store snow & flood runoff and clear brush, DEI hiring a top priority over qualifications, no operational plan ahead of the warning that record winds were approaching. I agree w James Woods that there needs to be a tribunal for criminal negligence for Bass & Newscum…
A family friend lost her 2 pets in the Eaton fire, 100% preventable!!!
Someone send B ASS a 1-way ticket back to africa!
During the Camp Fire and for weeks afterwards, James Woods dedicated his entire reach on Twitter to getting help for affected pets and reconnecting them with their families. It was astonishing, heart-warming, and honestly amazing. He had nothing to gain by it, other than the satisfaction of doing SOMETHING in the midst of tragedy. It was a tremendous example for each of us. I haven’t forgotten.
Heads Up to Sundance & Friends…
