The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is the facilitation silo for the U.S government exploits through the Intelligence Community (IC). The newly appointed Chairman of that committee is Republican Tom Cotton (Sea Island attendee ’16).
Within an article noting Vice Chairman Mark Warner meeting with Director of National Intelligence (DNI) nominee Tulsi Gabbard, it is noted, “The pre-hearing questionnaire also has not been sent to Gabbard as of yet,” implying the SSCI is purposefully slow walking the nomination. The SSCI did not have any issues sending their pre-hearing questionnaire to CIA Director nominee, John Ratcliffe.
Following the meeting, Senator Mark Warner said, “I had questions going in. I have questions coming out.” The main issue appears to be Mrs Gabbard standing on support for Ukraine, which the Republicans and Democrats on the SSCI fully support.
After the Assad removal operation was successful, Tulsi Gabbards previous meeting with removed Syrian leader Bashir Assad, takes on a new dimension. The SSCI does not like that Gabbard was seemingly a previous supporter of Assad in Syria and the Intelligence Community doesn’t like having their interests challenged; particularly as it revolves around Ukraine.
Within the IC nominations, it is very important to pay attention to Senator Tom Cotton; this could be a moment when the masks of the collaboration between the SSCI and IC are revealed.
The CIA, NSA, DNI and U.S interventionist policies as carried out by the intel agencies are all maintained in status through the “oversight” of the SSCI. Both Mark Warner and Tom Cotton are part of the ‘Gang of Eight.’
As we have documented and noted for several years, the FBI background checks are part of the control mechanism that keeps the wrong kind of people out of the IC silos in order to maintain their operational intents. The FBI background check on Tulsi Gabbard has not yet been completed and submitted to the Senate Intel Committee.
WASHINGTON DC – […] Warner sat down with Gabbard, Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, on Wednesday, a meeting that had been highly anticipated as part of her push to win Democratic support.
But Warner, who is expected to remain the top Democrat on the Intelligence panel in the new Congress, indicated that he remains concerned about her nomination, putting a dent in those hopes.
“I had questions going in. I have questions coming out,” Warner told reporters at the Capitol.
“This is an extraordinarily important job,” he continued. “A lot of this [is] also about protecting the independence of the intelligence community and making sure we continue to have the ability to share classified information with our allies.”
When asked if she is fit for the job, Warner noted that Monday was his first chance to ask Gabbard questions and that this is still the “beginning of the process.”
“I have a lot of questions,” he added.
It remains unclear when Gabbard’s confirmation hearing will take place. Warner and Democrats have pressed pause on the committee’s push to hold her hearing as early as next week and say they have not received her FBI background check, ethics disclosure or a pre-hearing questionnaire yet. (read more)
The pre-hearing questionnaire is being used as part of the justification to delay Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination. However, the pre-hearing questionnaire has not been sent to Gabbard by the committee. Interesting…

Frankly, regardless of what one may think of Gabbard, I also would have wondered about her credentials for this appointment, and found this to be an unusual choice for this job. I don’t think that support for Ukraine is going to be an ongoing issue, as I’m assuming that Trump will put the kibosh on this endeavor shortly after he comes into office. However, if you recall, when Gabbard came out in support of Sanders in 2016, she received a letter from the Dems, indicating that they would ensure that she never held another political position as a Dem. Remember that? She resigned her DNC position and eventually left the Dem party. But I suspect that this ‘promise’ still holds with the Dems.
This is what some think of Gabbard.

Tulsi Gabbard Defends Trump Firing Vindman Brothers
Are you oblivious? Trump sidled up to Bill Gates pal fellow WEF member Arab Hussain Sajwani in flooding the US with a string of AI Data Centers and more H1bs our tax dollars will have to subsidize (can’t have citizens employed whistleblowing the globalists national threats to the public). The WEF agenda has always been the Club of Rome’s Morganthau like plan to section the world into regions with the US, Canada and Greenland being one and shutting the US economy down a major part.. Trump is acting fully on board. No longer surprised his campaign was one nonstop McCarthy, McCain Bush staff reunion.
President Trump is not going to be “shutting the US economy down.”
Yesterday’s presser was a bit of a shocker for me, too. While I have spent the past few years listening to Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O’Leary, talk about the wonderful *data centers* that he would soon open in Oklahoma, my hopes were pinned on Trump coming into office and shutting down the surveillance of his fellow Americans.
Yesterday, Pres. Trump quashed all those hopes. Sadly.
I am surprised any one would think that Trump would make any attempt to slow or shutdown the growth of the surveillance state. Every politician of any stature in the world supports it . It will grow and grow and never be reduced or shutdown , not by a politician anyway.
You are going to have to explain why the WEF crew has opposed, vilified, slandered, lawfared, and shot Trump in an unremitting assault since the moment he came down the escalator. Unless you can include that in your hypothesis, you’re just slinging mud.
I agree , she is woefully unprepared for the position , the Intel agencies will run rings around her.
Remember this??: I’m sorry folks, we are going to have to wait to understand the thinking behind this one. I have absolutely no idea. Mrs Gabbard has never led any organization of scale, nor held any position of intelligence review that I am aware of.
Other than being a campaign surrogate (via RFK Jr) and very close friend of Tucker Carlson, who I’m told is one of a small group organizing the cabinet appointments; together with Donald Trump Jr, Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk and Robert F Kennedy Jr. (currently living in Mar-a-Lago); I’m not sure what would be the plan for Tulsi Gabbard (maybe with guidance from Ric Grenell?). Like everyone else, I’m puzzled.
From here: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/11/13/president-trump-announces-nomination-of-tulsi-gabbard-to-director-of-national-intelligence/
I’m still of the same mindset. You?
Of course Clapper held this position. There’s that. 🤷🏼♂️
Clapper was a Lt. General who had been in the defence-intel business since 1991 (Director Defense Intelligence Agency under GHW Bush and Clinton).
Bit if a doofus during his stint with Team Obama, but he did have the typical resume for someone nominated for that sort of cabinet position.
Clapper is a criminal, not just a dufus. Here is an interrogation of him that reveals sickening knowledge I don’t think most of us are aware of.
https://x.com/Despicable90891/status/1876819277229035628?t=FI_XkMmxFLmsyYNPIFuD-Q&s=19
Being a Doofus was Clapper’s qualification.
Being loyal is Tulsi’s qualification.
She has many more positive points, but loyal to the country and not a dupe of the Derps is the absolute qualification of a DNI intending to the the job that has never yet been properly done as designed, intended, and powerfully positively possible as Sundance has explained.
🎯
Bingo. Loyal to our country….what a concept.
I wish we had another hundred like her.
If the SSCI is against her, I support her.
AMEN!
The democrats like to play as much ‘in your face’ politicks as possible.
I think some of President Trump’s appointments were made for the same purpose.
I’m not sure what a Vice Chair of the DNC does, but if it’s a laundry organization, perhaps she’s qualified.
Kidding.
This may or may not help understand Tulsi’s background. Ymmv.
https://okcheartandsoul.com/entertainment/gabbards-bipartisan-congressional-connections-could-be-crucial-to-confirmation/
The rest of the sentence:
…”However, maybe it is Tulsi Gabbard’s inherent sense toward protecting constitutional freedom that is of great value. Gabbard does express a solid strain of Rand Paul type libertarianism.
I am aware that everyone associated with the intelligence position decision-making on the transition team believes the Intelligence Community (IC) is a worthy, important and valuable construct, unfortunately led by corrupt individuals. Newly appointed National Security Advisor Mike Waltz is one of many who hold this opinion.”
If you are going to use Sundance’s quotes it helps to use the complete quote. Unless your goal is try to undercut his research and analysis…
I’m curious. Of all the people who have held this position, I wonder how many had previous experience that would be considered qualifying for this position, and how many of those were actually good at the job. By “good at the job” I mean they did what the administration asked and expected. I’d like to think doing what was best for the country would be preferred but that’s not how they play this game. And, of course, how would we know really?
If I remember later I may do some digging out of curiosity.
Oath’s are sworn to God…
To whom all must eventually answer…
Trust God.
Fear not.
I looked at her military resume. She was in a medical unit and not a doctor or nurse. She was a light colonel. Turned out she was in the civic affairs part of the medical unit. Presumably this involved liaison with local medical resources. This is a common cover for a spook.
That was her first tour, and I think she was NCO. She went to some sort of OCS after returning. For her second tour, she was an officer (captain??) in an MP unit.
She was in a med unit part of the HIARNG 29th Inf Bde, then went through OCS and branched to the MPs in the 29th Bde. After 2020 she transferred from the Guard to Army Reserve Civil Affairs.
If you did OCS and passed, you are a hard ass. End of mystery.
“From a distance Tulsi Gabbard seems like a nice person, and I’m told she is very differential to consensus amid group settings….Perhaps as the hub of the 17 agency intelligence silos, DNI Tulsi Gabbard will be able to organize a less harmful end result from the intelligence community….Perhaps going in with a singular goal of changing the way information is classified would be enough sunlight to change the system, I just don’t know. I don’t even know if that’s their goal. Mrs. Tulsi Gabbard was not on my bingo card for possible ODNI candidates.” – Sundance
I guess there will always be concerns and rightly so about leftists who have been red pilled? But we have to move forward and that to me includes accepting the “red pilled”, add them to our MAGA, America First ranks and use them to our benefit. Tulsi Gabbard will not be another Cassidy Hutchinson!!! She just might be the biggest best surprise of all of President Trump’s picks? JMO Godspeed Tulsi Gabbard!!!
Clapper was a stumblebum, and Gabbard is more capable than that.
The Uniparty wants a stumblebum though. She’s not and is a threat to them.
Ain’t it a shame when being too loyal and too smart disqualifies one for a government job?
Her reserve military duty was/is in intel, something that bothered me from the start, but is fading. We’ll see.
If Ukraine fell off the face of the earth tomorrow I wouldn’t bat an eye. I’m not for sending any more money, blood, or treasure to that place. These cowards that sit in DC who would rather support a corrupt country than their own country men tells you all you need to know.
Couldn’t agree more. Essentially these are all war mongers who ultimately serve the spirit of chaos, greed and deception. They have puroptrated the death and destruction of over a million souls with untold misery all in under five years as though it’s no big deal. Let’s print some more money
Aren’t they just great, such statesmen and masters of diplomacy.

Warner is swamp scum. We should pray for Tulsi Gabbard.
He is a corrupt lying POS! A perfect Democrat!
Recession appointment.
Warner is part of the destroy Trump movement. That is all one needs to know.
Just like he was during the first administration of Trump’s.
He needs to be investigated.
Primary the POS!
… what puzzles me is WHO votes for such charater as Warner…
You would have to understand Virginia politics to understand the Warners of the political world. As Governor in Virginia he wielded an enormous amount of power. He led the General Assembly in the most destructive changes to the Constitution of VA, since Reconstruction. Further cementing power and control in Richmond.
Rich Men North Of Richmond
👀🎯
When Warner ran for Governor of Virginia, he ran under a “Republicans for Warner” campaign slogan. Arranged meetings with Republican big donors and convinced everyone that as a businessman, he was a pro business, small government, low taxes Democrat. It worked. He told us that he would not be Harry Reid’s 51st vote and would look out for the interests of Virginians. What a lying scumbag he turned out to be.
Election fraud!
Prediction: Any of Trump’s radical reformer cabinet nominees who pass the Senate with its 20 D and F-rated RINOs will have agreed to do no significant damage to the agencies they will head.
“Yes” them to inifinity, then do what we asked.
There is a picture of Warner next to snake in Webster.
And as Warner proved beyond the shadow of a doubt during Trumps previous administration, he cannot for any reason be trusted. As a matter of fact, if all things were right in our government, he could easily be convicted of Treason after his actions then.
I get it, but we don’t need Warner. Of course alluding to Cotton is the point. Once again, this will continue to expose all the rats on the Republican side. We already know all of the democrats are.
If the delay takes over a couple of weeks into the presidency, then perhaps the DNI isn’t that important and needs to be closed down to pre-Patriot Act ways.
Lest we forget, Susie Wiles issued a cease and desist edict to incoming admin persons vis public commentary.
PDJT was not flanked by his house guest Elon yesterday or other tech bros. Different optics in that presser.
PDJT meeting with Republican leadership today. Who is in PDJT entourage?
Dirty, corrupt, dishonest Mark Warner is NOT qualified for his job. The patriot God – loving citizens of Virginia have suffered for years in his deception and boot-licking devotion to the Democrat PARTY first !
I hope Trump was prepared for this. They will slow walk anyone they perceive as a threat to their corrupt interests. He’s not new to the game and SHOULD have a parallel track to paint them in a corner. If his nominations are not moved forward right away, he’s going to be hang strung.
Start the firings until you get to a levelheaded person who will do as the President wishes.
I concur.
Mega firings!
Northern VA counties should be split off and made part of the District of Columbia, with no Senators. Then the rest of VA can return to being the rural-conservative bastion it once was.
POTUS 45 left office with about 400 unconfirmed nominees IIRC. the Senate democrats did everything they could to hamstring the process. He is prepared for this. Guaranteed.
And we can be sure PDT and co. know that in an era such as this, with half the gov. working under cover for the global cause, loyalty is as important as competence. After Sessions, Pence, Barr, etc. — the white hats know that was a big mistake last time.
Key quote: “ A lot of this [is] also about protecting the independence of the intelligence community…”. Independence from…the executive branch, of which it is part? This right here is the problem that needs to be fixed.
yup.
Might as well digest the entire landscape. Gabbard is only one piece.
https://www.dni.gov/index.php/who-we-are/leadership
Senate and Intelligence should not be in the same sentence.
Gabbard’s opinion on Ukraine does not matter, PDJT is the only opinion that matters as she will be carrying his orders out. The oversight committee was not created to perform foreign policy as this is the Executive Branch’s job. It was created to make sure the IC doesn’t act outside the law.
Saints don’t go into politics.
Sometimes you need to take the best available rather than wait for perfection.
DJT could do way worse than Tulsi.
I can identify character and Tulsi Gabbard has character. In stark contrast to these scumbag corrupt senators who will be reviewing this nomination.
IMESHO, the use of the word “intelligence” with Mark’s name automatically forms a conundrum. I have a difficult time deciding who I distrust and dislike more, Mark or Charlie Schemer.
As in any business, the success of the manager depends upon the accuracy, integrity, and quality of the information that they receive. The rest depends upon their decision making skills. The key factor is the question of “who” supplies the information to Gabbard.
So Gabbard is not just a rubber stamp and that is that they want.
Not surprising they want to delay her confirmation.
Warner is worried about the independence of the intelligence community? Maybe he should read the constitution.
Why are they letting Ratcliffe through so easily? That is a question.
I thought the D’s were concerned about “people of color.” They should be pushing Tulsi through.
Ratcliffe has been privy to national security info being a member of HPSCI and being DNI.
Obviously, one has to be connected to the swamp in order to be confirmed. Whats the point of all this crap if the rightful President cannot hire the right people?
Skip the drama and accelerate her confirmation vote which, with the possible exception of Fetterman, is very likely going to be a party line exercise, unless RINOs Murkowski, Collins, Cassidy, and McConnell opt to again expose themselves.
Curious CK has questions and more questions about corrupt Senate Intel Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner.
Tulsi is totally unqualified and way too naive to be in this position. Time and time again her judgement has been very poor. Her talking points in the past have mirrored RT much the same as Tucker who she is a close friend of apparently. They both have large blind spots , like when TC asked the question in an interview , ” I am supposed to hate Assad, why?” He never even attempted to answer his own question and swiftly moved on as though it was as an absolute given fact that Assad was a saint. When or if the graves of the approximately three hundred thousand civilians murdered by Assad are opened so relatives can claim the bodies of their loved ones , TC will glibly say , ” I was wrong about Assad” , until then why would he have any negative thoughts about Assad? Tulsi is in the same bubble , her meeting with Assad was to support him , not to investigate or advise. Why? Because Assad was being supported by Russia that is the one and only reason. Tulsi has been captured by Russian propaganda . She may be trying to extricate herself a little now , it will be interesting to see how Tulsi will portray herself at the hearings , regardless she is not qualified , loyalty alone is not enough for this position.
BS
Is that you, Hillary?
Perhaps Tulsi has questions about James Wolfe and Ali Watkins for Warner?
Anyways, Grenell and Radcliffe held the position and would have had input for President Trump.
Or , maybe, we should Trust Sessions.
No surprise here. We are dealing with the Uniparty.
Ability to do the job is certainly important but so is character, trustworthiness and their intentions and goals. I think Tulsi passes with an A on all those latter points. Tulsi’s military experience and acquired rank seems to be discarded or downplayed regarding her confirmation.
One big positive is that she has not been previously absorbed in a Big Gov’t bureaucratic job and become a sullied Deep State operative “with alleged experience.” As sundance has pointed out she has been a target of the surveillance state herself and that is an invaluable experience if you are to become a part of the surveillance state and make it work fairly for the American people.
In regards to ability, she seems more than intelligent enough to learn quickly. She has also not been warming up a plush Senate chair like long term duplicitous blowhard Warner. She’s been very active in saving America from Democrat nitwits like Kamala and then with MAGA. That is the real reason why Warner is playing the fake role of ingenious arbiter of Tulsi’s confirmation. His opinion is tainted and unreliable IMO. Other Dem Senators are likely to focus their political revenge on Tulsi as well.
tulsi to sen. warner, ‘ what about this james wolfe character?”
The USA/EU have spent 330 billion on their war according to Victor Orbán, The Ukrainians have lost one million dead the Russian about 100,000. Ukraine has lost the war. Its population is half of what it was before the war. They have left for safer places. The only option is unconditional surrender or the USA using their nuclear option. The USA neocons bit off more than they could chew,Bleeding Russia, regime change, splitting Russia into 4-5 states and looting it is unlikely.Blackrock may have the contract to rebuild Ukraine but they wont have the opportunity. The USA is not a continental power,it does expeditionary wars against 3rd world countries. The EU does not have the industrial means or the populations that have any interest in going to war.The State Dept and the CIA have screwed up.Do they ever admit to screwing up?
Jesus, can’t come sooner.
