NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Multiple people are dead after the New Orleans Police Department reported that a car plowed into a group of people on Bourbon Street.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. at the corner of Bourbon and Iberville streets.
At this time, the NOPD are reporting about 10 fatalities with possibly 30 others injured injured as of 6 a.m.
EMS is currently on the scene. Additionally, Bourbon Street has been shut down at this time, according to the NOPD.

I’d walk to the Quarter early evening for gumbo or etouffe at Cajun Cabin, pull up a barstool and catch whatever Cajun or Zydeco band they had playing, one band was called Mamou and they were really good, had the waiters and waitresses doing a two-step
… and in the other room was a house band called Mitch Cormier and the Can’t Hardly Playboys. Great accordian-driven Cajun music and the bass player had a deep voice and would sing Johnny Cash songs like Ring of Fire
Across the street was a blind guitarist/singer with a voice like Johnny Winter and played nearly as well. Full-faced white guy with a white beard, I dropped back in to hear him a couple times and bought his CD he had for sale from the bandstand.

Way back in the 90’s I took a Fire Investigation class. As I posted on the previous page, the instructor talked about someone in a love triangle that made an improved explosive device that got damaged when it was thrown in the house. The other two were lucky, the instructor had the bomb squad recreate the device and detonate it. It would’ve leveled the two story house: it was just match stick heads in a device, gasoline and a Coleman propane “tank”.
This was probably just a poor design, it could’ve done significant damage with gasoline, the fireworks and an ignition source if assembled correctly.
If so, and I hope you’re wrong, this will backfire (Pun intended!) on them and if anything this will empower President Trump even beyond what this recent election has mandated.
