It happened around 3:15 a.m. at the corner of Bourbon and Iberville streets.
At this time, the NOPD are reporting about 10 fatalities with possibly 30 others injured injured as of 6 a.m.
EMS is currently on the scene. Additionally, Bourbon Street has been shut down at this time, according to the NOPD.

Someone from my son’s work brought him this same little tree when he was in hospital after a near-fatal crash the day after Thanksgiving one year; they all loved him and prayed for him so strongly that I could literally feel their prayers for all of us.

I was brought to my knees & into unconditional Love & Gratitude for him & his life immediately (not a conscious decision I made intellectually), and remained solidly there during his ordeal; every toe twitch & eyelid flutter was celebrated with giddy Gratitude; a lot of EFT took place. A steady stream of Miracles delivered to him made the doctors speechless and confused.

I’ve sent this to the young girl who is really loving Snoopy lately (as I have sent several of your Snoopy memes this season)… and reminding her of this family history event she herself was born from (just 11 months after the crash her father wasn’t supposed to survive; I’m telling you – *Serious Miracles*).

We now know the terrorist was Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a native Texan who served for years in the Army. I expect he was fairly recently radicalized, perhaps after some embittering setback or negative life experience (or maybe a terminal medical diagnosis). I believe the choice of vehicle was very carefully considered and quite diabolically clever. He went out of his way to rent a Ford F-150 Lightning, which is about 2,000 pounds heavier than a gas model. It is quiet, so the victims wouldn’t be warned by a roaring engine. And it has tremendous torque, able to accelerate from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds. If it has the extended range battery, likely in a rental vehicle, it’s even heavier and the 0-60 time is only 3.8 seconds.
