A breaking report outlines something we have predicted for well over six months. A new era technocracy group formed around candidate and now the incoming administration of President Donald Trump. The group holds financial interests, albeit currently in alignment with ideology.
Palantir (Peter Thiel) and defense contractor Anduril are teaming up with SpaceX (Elon Musk) and OpenAI to form a consortium group that will collaboratively bid on USG Federal contracts (likely Defense).
VIA REUTERS – Dec 22 (Reuters) – Data analytics firm Palantir Technologies (PLTR.O), opens new tab and defense tech company Anduril Industries are in talks with about a dozen competitors to form a consortium that will jointly bid for U.S. government work, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The consortium, which could announce agreements with other tech groups as early as January, is expected to include SpaceX, OpenAI, autonomous shipbuilder Saronic and artificial intelligence data group Scale AI, the newspaper said, citing several people with knowledge of the matter.
“We are working together to provide a new generation of defence contractors,” a person involved in developing the group told the newspaper.
The consortium will bring together the heft of some of Silicon Valley’s most valuable companies and will leverage their products to provide a more efficient way of supplying the U.S. government with cutting-edge defence and weapons capabilities, the newspaper added. (read more)
Without Peter Thiel there is no JD Vance. Many might argue that without Elon Musk there is no President-elect Donald Trump. I would agree with the former and disagree with the latter while admitting the Musk factor was positive in the election.
What we are seeing now is what CTH predicted we would see as a natural outcome of this tech group who purposefully aligned with Trump in the summer of 2024.
Peter Thiel (Palantir) has been very successful in gaining federal contracts for the software that combines facial recognition with artificial intelligence capabilities. Palantir’s AI can be used in DHS surveillance, as well as military operations to make targeting decisions more precise and effective.
Elon Musk (SpaceX and xAI) already have extensive contracts with the Federal government. Now we are seeing ancillary tech groups join in collaboration with Thiel and Musk due to the access created by their relationship with President Trump and JD Vance. None of these subsequent financial windfalls are accidental, they are all strategic and by design.
The old school of defense heavyweights, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics, are being challenged by smaller more technologically aligned companies Palantir, Anduril, SpaceX and supporting AI companies. The new guys have an insider track due to their prepositioning on the Trump campaign.
The open question is who selected whom? Did the new era Technocrats select Donald Trump as their strategic avenue for financial benefit; or did President Trump select the new era Technocrats as tools for election victory; or was it just a merge of interests for mutual benefit.
I suspect we are not as far away from finding out as most might think.

Isn’t it a massive and disqualifying conflict of interest for Musk to both work for government through DOGE, while also having a private company (SpaceX) that will benefit from government contracts? Even worse, since this is a ‘consortium’ of normally competing businesses that are teaming up to bid jointly, does this count as a conspiracy to fix prices in monopolistic fashion, which is an illegal, felony offense under 15 USC? While Musk has Pres. Trump’s ear, and offers advice, he could do the same not knowing Trump and just send him letters. Congress has passed a bill into law requiring the President (OMB) to submit a budget in March. When Congress appropriates funds, Treasury creates an account, but OMB allocates those accounts to the various departments.

Luckily these were “fixed priced” contracts. This contract has essentially killed Boeings space business, they are billions in the hole and still have spacecraft that is not trust worthy for human flight. Is everything Elon is doing on the up&up. I would say no. Did he use government incentives and various EV credits to Tesla’s advantage – yes he did. For many , many, many years Tesla lost money on the cars sold. The company only made a profit by selling EV credits to other auto manufacturers. But when they put SpaceX and OpenAI together in a consortium, the story falls flat on its face. Musk literally hates OpenAI’s CEO Altman and is suing him big time in a way that is intended to deny OpenAI’s bid to move from Open Source to full commercialization. At the same time, Musk has started XAI to directly challenge them and is pouring billions into the effort.

Another related issue to be concerned with is the H-1B Visa program that robs Americans of jobs for slave labor Indians. Trump constantly says illegal immigration which yes must be taken care of, but he needs to stop the H1-B visa abuse used by tech companies. H1-B visas are for jobs unable to be filled by Americans but tech companies have got away with breaking this law by hiring Indian tech worker and laying off American tech workers. Musk is a former H1-B visa holder so the concern is Musk as CEO of tech companies will want to hire cheap labor in H1-B visa holders. This goes against Trump’s America first policy. The H1-B visa program needs to be suspended or canceled altogether since it has been abused.

President Trump campaigned on this in 2016, when Microsoft and Disney were laying off people, and forcing them to train their foreign replacements 0r else forfeit their severance benefits. However, I have not heard him address the H1B issue that is marginalizing American workers much since. I’ve read comments from many in the tech field who talk about Indian managers who will only hire other Indians here in the U.S. Does President Trump know this??? It’s hardly America First. Yet, I get concerned when he has had these meetings with big tech moguls and other businesses who cry that they need cheaper foreign workers, and that there aren’t enough skilled American workers to meet their needs (wrong!) I’ve even heard him mention that we’ll be needing LOTS more workers for AI.
I wonder how much he is taken in by these businessmen and wanting to accommodate them as they plead and schmooze, versus standing up for our own workers. Would he be willing to halt legal immigration and H1Bs until we get our own workers placed for decent wages first?

Just looking at the website SkyVector, which is an excellent flight planning tool for pilots that posts an up to the minute airspace status throughout the United States. There are multiple FAA issued Temporary Flight Restrictions in New York City and surrounding areas. Each flight restriction prohibits the public’s use of drones in an area two miles in diameter and up to 400 feet altitude for the next 27 days. Go to the link and drag the map to the NY area. Hover the cursor over any of the small red circles. Each one is an individual Flight Restriction. Click on any one of them to bring up the FAA page giving a detailed description of the Restriction. While it’s normal to see flight restrictions when the president travels, or over a stadium during a sporting event, I’ve never seen anything quite like this before.
