A breaking report outlines something we have predicted for well over six months. A new era technocracy group formed around candidate and now the incoming administration of President Donald Trump. The group holds financial interests, albeit currently in alignment with ideology.
Palantir (Peter Thiel) and defense contractor Anduril are teaming up with SpaceX (Elon Musk) and OpenAI to form a consortium group that will collaboratively bid on USG Federal contracts (likely Defense).
VIA REUTERS – Dec 22 (Reuters) – Data analytics firm Palantir Technologies (PLTR.O), opens new tab and defense tech company Anduril Industries are in talks with about a dozen competitors to form a consortium that will jointly bid for U.S. government work, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The consortium, which could announce agreements with other tech groups as early as January, is expected to include SpaceX, OpenAI, autonomous shipbuilder Saronic and artificial intelligence data group Scale AI, the newspaper said, citing several people with knowledge of the matter.
“We are working together to provide a new generation of defence contractors,” a person involved in developing the group told the newspaper.
The consortium will bring together the heft of some of Silicon Valley’s most valuable companies and will leverage their products to provide a more efficient way of supplying the U.S. government with cutting-edge defence and weapons capabilities, the newspaper added. (read more)
Without Peter Thiel there is no JD Vance. Many might argue that without Elon Musk there is no President-elect Donald Trump. I would agree with the former and disagree with the latter while admitting the Musk factor was positive in the election.
What we are seeing now is what CTH predicted we would see as a natural outcome of this tech group who purposefully aligned with Trump in the summer of 2024.
Peter Thiel (Palantir) has been very successful in gaining federal contracts for the software that combines facial recognition with artificial intelligence capabilities. Palantir’s AI can be used in DHS surveillance, as well as military operations to make targeting decisions more precise and effective.
Elon Musk (SpaceX and xAI) already have extensive contracts with the Federal government. Now we are seeing ancillary tech groups join in collaboration with Thiel and Musk due to the access created by their relationship with President Trump and JD Vance. None of these subsequent financial windfalls are accidental, they are all strategic and by design.
The old school of defense heavyweights, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics, are being challenged by smaller more technologically aligned companies Palantir, Anduril, SpaceX and supporting AI companies. The new guys have an insider track due to their prepositioning on the Trump campaign.
The open question is who selected whom? Did the new era Technocrats select Donald Trump as their strategic avenue for financial benefit; or did President Trump select the new era Technocrats as tools for election victory; or was it just a merge of interests for mutual benefit.
I suspect we are not as far away from finding out as most might think.

so will these now be the new lobbyists that will be writing our legislation?
a lot of these technology guys are also efficiency experts and small government Gilded Age types so rather than writing legislation they will be looking to eliminate the legislation, the horde of bureaucrats doing nothing who actually “write” it, and the boomers in politics who suck the public teat and do nothing.
A new wave of Gen X and younger people are entering politics and very few of them other than the trojan horse uniparty and CIA assets have any interest in being politicians for life. They are genuine republicans whether or not they are Republicans.
The legacy defense contractors went big with DEI and multibillion dollar manned weapons.
Boeing cannot build quality planes or “starships” that work. No doubt the rest are suffering the same.
The Ukraine War clearly shows that Unmanned everything is going to be cheaper, faster, more deadly and save lives on the winning side. Everything is going to have to target, fire quickly and hide.
The old guard is being left behind.
Which goes to my basic point. Smaller more innovative is better. These monster sized companies and monster sized government do not do anything well…….except for maybe propaganda.
Yes indeed, the new boys simply laid their stake with the new movement. The world keeps turning – quite a natural course of events.
Would be great if they got rid of all the stupid, overlapping, and overreaching laws and “rules”.
The Deep State is dead; long live the Deep State.
Probably.
I thought it was Don Jr. who STRONGLY recommended Vance as VP to President Trump……as Don Jr. said in his interview with Tucker Carlson.
Furthermore, I think President Trump is choosing to work with the new era technocrats, just as he chose to appear on various podcasts chosen by his son Baron.
President Trump is not stupid and does not make hasty decisions without consultation with others, nor without considering the ramifications of his decisions.
Don Jr is as dumb as a rock. Trump is mentoring Barron to take over the family business.
Eric seems to be heading the company now
No one in the family is as dumb as a rock. NO one.
I fully agree. No one has done any vetting on these people. The FBI vetting was turned down and I don’t blame them with Obama’s weaponization of all intel community as well as the entire alphabet soup government. A perfect example is choosing Ed Martin for Chief of Staff of OMB. Martin was chosen by Phyllis Schlafly to head Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, which was a huge mistake. However, one need only put in Ed Martin and former Missouri Governor to find that as Chief of Staff to the former governor, he was fired for deleting emails that should have been kept. He failed at the job before, why risk him in this job? No one is vetting these people.
According to President Trump, these people are being vetted by independents hired to do so by the Trump transition team.
Really? Don Jr has a degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School of business in Pennsylvania. He is a trustee and executive VP of the Trump Organization, which he runs along with brother Eric. You can’t be dumb as a rock to run a multi billion dollar corporation.
warpspeed
Don Jr SAID he got Vance the VP position. Don Jr is a man short of intelligence and wisdom and long on hot air, so maybe that wasn’t the complete truth.
Taking credit not due him, or maybe he was one of many voices, and again trying to take credit az if he was the only or main one?
So, you are saying that Don Jr, who is a trustee and executive VP of a multi billion dollar international company, is an idiot? By saying so, you are also inferring that President Trump is an idiot for placing his company in the hands of Don Jr and brother Eric.
Merge of interests for mutual financial benefit.
One must keep the prophecy perspective the birth pangs of the end days started in the late 40s Jesus said this generation would also see his return.
Those with the weapons will turn them against God thinking their Billions will protect them from the Roaring LION about to Return.
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Doom of the Beast and False Prophet
20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:19, NASB)
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;
16 and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Revelation 6:15, NASB)
I don’t think Sachs is Christian, so what values will this AI venture have? Isn’t AI being used currently in the war in the Levant and how many innocents has it killed, since it’s being allowed to choose targets?
Most recent count on Gaza deaths alone by IDF is 45,000, mostly women, children, elderly and disabled.
Blind hatred and cupidity are mental illnesses.
Reuters “citing several people with knowledge of the matter.” A Deep State media organization citing anonymous sources provides zero credibility. This is precisely how clickbate propaganda begins.
The same thing as hearsay…
And many times I think of it as ‘Hearsay of Fearsay’.
Wars and rumors of wars.
Good , if Musk and company can do to defence what Musk has done for the space industry that will be a fantastic result. The old guard defence companies are devoid of fresh ideas and they have no desire to do things cheaper. Musk has reduced the cost of putting a payload into space by %25 and is now the world leader in space tech . Boeing is now a husk of it’s former self, let the new guard takeover.
Ah, so they would like to move on from owning security firms to getting the largest federal expenditures. War Dogs with AI. I see why Boeing has been the subject of so much ill attention now. Gotta knock out the competition.
For safety reasons I’m not naming my source, but I know for a fact Boeing has more than earned every bit of the “ill attention” they’re getting, and more.
It’s time for some new guys, and thank God we have some.
Right, because corporate espionage with PR doesn’t exist. Boeing has issues like many companies, but this does not exclude the fact that this group via Anduril wants a larger piece of federal expenditures. Where was Elad Gil born?
Boeing has not helped itself by selling airliners with recent revelations of faulty flight control software, engines too heavy for the airframe design, and dangerous airframe quality control issues in the mfg. plants possibly caused in part by DEI hiring instead of strictly by merit.
I never like unnamed sources. I do know that President Trump likes to stay ahead of the curve, so embracing the tech emergence is not surprising. Let’s wait and see how it plays out, government-contract wise.
Deep Tech ?
Without digital privacy we are nothing.
Trump never mentions digital privacy.
Not good.
On the good side (?) we can now use AI to read Congressional legislation. The politicians might become the puppets of the citizens again!
If we can use AI to read legislation, we should be able to use AI to write legislation.
That would sure put a kink in K-street.
I don’t want just a kink; I want them unemployed and gone! Incalculable damage, abuse and loss to America!
Having lawyers write legislation is wolves providing security for the henhouse!
You mean the citizens who PAY their salaries? In my old age I have realized that if I pay your salary, that makes me your BOSS! Doesn’t seem to work that way right now though, does it. “They”, our rulers, need some come effective education and I think school has begun.
As long as they ain’t digging in my pocket, shoving it in theirs, spending like there’s no tomorrow, and throwing the rest away, I say more power to ’em.
Go for the gusto!!
Hmm… with Doge getting inside information.. this is skating on thin ice… our political enemies with bash President Trump with this.
Everybody in the Blob routinely trades on inside information, don’t they?
We can counter with that.
It should be noted that AI is exhibiting some anomalies including digital-dementia, where AI performance declines with time.
Facial recognition doesn’t work very well on ethnic people, only caucasians.
Good grief. I hate to acknowledge it, but that phrase “digital dementia” made me sort of chuckle.
As in – “oh, good. This should be fun.”
I wonder if my close neighbors who welcomed Alexa into their living room know about that.
And me too.! I immediately thought of how the Navaho Code Talkers were pivotal in helping us win WWII and everyone’s freedom. We need to start recruiting our more ethnic appearing conservative family, friends and neighbors to stay posted for a digital fight, if needed. And there are always those highly sophisticated facial mask I keep hearing about. A different kind or warfare. Get your popcorn, hold onto your hat!
“Highly sophisticated facial mask.” ~ Could that be the reason Piglosi gets a montly face lift as her eyebrows creep dangerously close to the top of her cranium ~
When I go to my friends house that uses Alexa, I like to push his and her buttons with edgy inquiries.
You’re bad! But I like it.
Isn’t Alexa the one that was giving the two different results for Kamala Harris versus DJT earlier this year? Or was it Siri?
Not very biased! 😆
Well, according to the SNL comedy video about Alexa, they probably “don’t know ’bout dat.”
(It’s one of the very rare actually funny SNL skits- and I’m old as dirt myself. I just found it by searching for alexa parody, but it’s also called alexa echo silver.)
Sources?
You mean to tell me when it hits its final stage, all those who relied on the Internet for their answers, and truth, will become dumber than a box of rocks?
Answer this question:
Would you prefer this group of technologists working with the government or those that aligned with Obama and the governing elite the last 14 years and in so doing enabling the surveillance State and associated Lawfare we with eyes have all witnessed?
I personally prefer this era of technologists who at least appear to care more about the interests of the country and its not connected-call people (supporting freedom of speech and freedom from the weaponization of government to name two interests they appear to share in common). My position will change, however, if the capabilities Palantir et al possess are misused by the same Government to impose upon our society a surveillance regime even more repressive. I think the risk of that lies less with the incoming Administration than with future ones. Hopefully the incoming Administration knows this and works to put the proper safeguards in place unlike George W and Cheney who failed when the Patriot Act was enacted.
I would prefer Nobody works with the Government
they should be working FOR it
as soon as money is involved it gets corrupted!
I would prefer a lot of things, but it is what it is, and we need to deal with it on that basis.
Which Act should be repealed and pulled out by it’s roots!!!
I dion’t think that George W and Cheney thought that they failed.
The lack of safeguards was undoubtedly their intention.
“The open question is who selected whom? Did the new era Technocrats select Donald Trump as their strategic avenue for financial benefit; or did President Trump select the new era Technocrats as tools for election victory; or was it just a merge of interests for mutual benefit.”
The natural question for this ride becomes , who is the lady and who is the tiger?
I don’t believe anyone wins with AI. In fact, I believe it dooms the human race.
I’m going outside to rake leaves with a rake before the Homeowners Association decides to use Palantir’s AI to alert them of a messy yard and propose solutions.
They don’t need AI for that. All you need is your next-door neighbor looking out their window. Trust me – I know from experience.
“If you want to really understand what is happening, follow this background context as the intellectual filter and you will be watching President Trump Term-2 politics with clear eyes. However, always remember, these are their personal interests. As long as they align with MAGA, all is cool. If their personal interests diverge from MAGA, we will have a problem.
There are trillions at stake.”
The existence of the alliance is not an inherent negative or positive any more than the existence of a knife, a car, or a gun is an inherent negative. Depends on how it’s used.
I can only imagine some of the arguments that were routinely examined around 1900-1915 when “the automobile” made its fledgling presence known.
Shoot, I remember some of the arguments from friends when the internet began to find its way into their options. Some of them were tying themselves in knots until I suggested that whether having an online computer in my/their home was good or bad depended on how it was used. I pointed out that I would be using mine to stay in touch with friends, pick up news on my own schedule and choosing my own sources, and also playing some good music. This little flash of confusion would cross their face as they realized they were creating their own anxiety out of their assumptions.
The potential negativs are real, of course. Just as there are potential negatives in my backing my car out to drive across town–those possibilities don’t cause me to sell my car and start walking.
Yes, Sharon, we agree again. In my old age (again) I have solidified the thought that it is not the capability of a tool that is inherently evil, but how it is used in the hands of those who are benevolent of heart or those who are selfish, evil or malevolent of heart. I pray for the souls (with chives) of the latter. It does not end well for them. This life is a short trip.
One world Government here we come.
All bright and shiny to deceive the world.
Honestly? If we can make aligning with the interests of the American Middle Class profitable we can solve a lot of the problems we have with all the people trying to undermine the MAGA agenda as the people seeking wealth would no longer oppose but help to ensure MAGA principles are enacted.
In a free market system pursuit of profits is a net good as it will move resources to the most optimal means for providing goods and services the public wants. So long as there’s a moral framework associated with it, its the least bad system ever devised by mankind.
The problem we’ve had for quite some time is that Marxist true believers have distorted the marketplace with regulations that working against the interests of the American people became the most profitable approach.
Similarly, AI is ultimately a tool (and presently the sheer amount of resources needed for it to improve means its closer to being a mature technology than something set to explode beyond its current capabilities… barring a quantum leap in processing power relative to energy and material expenditure further improvements will only be incremental) and just like any tool can be used for good or ill based on the moral principles of its users.
What we really need right now is for society to have an honest conversation about what we are and are not comfortable with AI doing and then enact laws appropriately (we have laws against using fire to burn people’s houses down but allow its use for cookouts… a law for what are legal and illegal uses of AI is exactly the same thing).
Thank yo0 for this post! Concisely stated the truth. Who do “We The People” engage on the local/State level as well to express our wishes regarding controls for AI and developing technologies. We are their bosses, right? We should be communicating to the ones closest to us as well.
I’d suggest those with concerns first study the actual issues (vs. the fevered dreams and nightmares of those imagining various sci-fi franchises) and then start sharing the details with your friends and family and church members so as to coordinate petitioning government officers.
For my take, I’d say that based on my research into AI, that similarly to social media platforms (Jack’s magic coffee shop) AI will have difficulty being profitable without government subsidies.
This means a lot of AI’s risks can be curtailed simply by eliminating any subsidies for AI and forcing all its costs onto the end users.
AI is very power intensive and the infrastructure requires a lot of very expensive processors built with rare earths.*
It’s so cost intensive that Amazon’s attempt at an AI monitored produce store led to them instead hiring an Indian data center where “Anonymous Indians” watched the shoppers on cameras and processed their checkouts because it was cheaper than using AI to do it.
AI at this point has a very narrow profile of things it can do well. Mostly it’s useful for pattern recognition where the need for rapid results is worth the processing costs.
* so far the only people making any money on AI are the manufacturers of the GPUs who are selling them to the AI companies.
Evidently it was useful for studying the sudden 1,500 page porkulus this week.
That strikes me as one of the very useful sort of things it could do.
Corporatism is dead; long live corporatism.
The Future of Warfare | Palantir Ad
Cyberdyne systems will soon bring us Skynet AI. Rejoice, pink and squishy humans.
Sun-Lizard: Meanwhile, a US Navy ship in the Red Sea shot down a Navy F-18 in a “friendly fire” incident. Fortunately, the pilots survived and were rescued.
Or did they? Could it have been the Houthis? The Russians? But instead our overstretched military is taking the blame to avoid a confrontation? I don’t believe anything we are told anymore by this government.
they all mean well
then Money gets involved and we have seen how that goes.
In human nature, “There is nothing new under the sun”.
The merging of technocracy with populism has been one of the things Patrick Wood of Technocracy.news has been warning about, sounding the alarm. Technocracy doesn’t care what political movement it aligns with. It’s about gaining power and rule by the scientific technate. I knew when Trump picked Vance where this was going.
Is technocracy to be the the tiger and populism to be the lady?
Meet The new bosses.
Same as the old bosses
SORT OF.
I’m not sure about Peter Thiel and can’t say what the future will bring, but given what he’s done with Twitter, the election and the space industry, I’ll put my trust in Elon Musk before any of the current players on the field, especially Boeing. Space X has run circles around that clown show, and we’re all safer and better off for it.
Good question. With many of the people he’s choosing for his administration, (Tulsi Gabbard, Rubio, Kristi Noem, Mehmet Oz, Susie Wiles, Linda McMahon, Pam Bondi, Howard Lutnick-a WEF member, and others), I’d say it’s Trump’s choice.
I guess I would have to say that on the face of it, I’m more alarmed than warmed by this new consortium. Defense spending is a sewer in the Deep State bowels. Corruption and inbreeding are everywhere. F-35, useless aircraft carriers and what was that about the Pentagon misplacing over $800 billion? I don’t see how a new generation of high tech billionaires, almost all of whom have no military experience beyond playing video games, is going to fix the military spending and competency mess. So, color me skeptical.
Where is the AI legislation that will protect people’s privacy???
Crickets 🦗
what is this thing you call privacy?
I don’t think it exists anymore
it went out like the dodo bird !
Since when was legislation a sure way to protect privacy or actually do anything else?
The laws governing murder, financial scams, illegal aliens, stuffing the ballot box, selling children for sex, and driving too fast have been on the books for a very long time.
Funny how all of those things keep on happening.
Does this mean Blackrock, JP Morgan and Vanguard are soon to be past their prime?
Maybe they will just buy out the upstarts?
they probably already own a chunk of the upstarts already
The surveillance technology must be outward facing only.
Good luck with that.
Lockheed started this same way, then was eventually taken over by finance people. Here is a nod to their SR-71
Absolutely love the SR-71. I have coffee table books signed by a couple of their pilots among my treasures.
I worked the tankers that exclusively serviced the SR.
Loved being in the program, seeing those birds everyday.
Switched to the U-2 after the program was shut down; both systems kept us in the middle of genuine real-world missions non-stop, amazing times.
Another reason to appreciate you!
Was the TR-1 an equivalent to the U-2 in terms of missions?
Interesting that Sundance mentions this. I just listened to a podcast of Australian John Anderson and British-American historian, Niall Ferguson. Part of the conversation was about using technology for defense. Ferguson believes USA has the upper hand in AI and will probably be using more of it in the future. So it makes sense that AI technology companies are teaming up to get access of these potential contracts.
That said if this historian can figure it out then Trump already has. So maybe the AI group and Trump are using each other.
In terms of using AI ethically, I believe there is something going on that maybe it will be OK. I have a wait and see attitude.
We already have an AI Czar
Vice President Harris Announces New U.S. Initiatives to Advance the Safe and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence
In this case the term AI Czar refers to “Actual Idiot” Czar.
May the drones be with you.
I’m here for retribution. The rest of it will unfold in time. Having a Plan B makes sense in any case.
Tend to believe there’s a lot of sweating going on in DC. While they have been using technology since way back when, now it seems the AI will be in the court of MAGA. President Trump is acquiring the ability to use government to watch and know a lot about groups using the law and financial stewardship as a weapon. His weapon, however, will be against law breaking and using the judicial system for political purposes. Seems we have a new tech sheriff in town.
Personally, I suspect that the answer is that We the People selected Donald Trump, the new era technocrats understood the momentum and joined his ‘bandwagon’, and, at least while Trump is in office, it will be a merge of mutual interests. Once again, I wonder what happens to this technology if, sometime in the future, an Obama like figure makes it to the WH, and turns this technology on the people.
J Brown: Democrat or Republican (Uniparty), the technology will be used to surveille and control Americans.
That is not an “If” that is a “When.”
We have seen serious efforts to undermine and ignore our Constitution. We are all aware of two pieces of legislation crafted to amend the Constitution for elimination of the Electoral College currently active in both Chambers.
This whole thing with AI will make it easier to subdue the People.
Something to keep in mind:
“The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities…”
— Zbigniew Brzezinski from his book “Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technotronic Era”
If Zbiggy’s ilk have their way, we will revert back to being just like our colonial ancestors: Subjects not citizens.
Military Industrial Complex, on the way out!
Technology Industrial Complex, on the way in!
I wonder if the double-crossing, back-stabbing Generals have it figured out yet?
Thanks Sundance for your groundbreaking research into this.
scary to think
what if someone who I believe is my Friend
is really my enemy??
Wouldn’t that be MAGA equivalents???
Trump 45-47 touted Iron Dome in AZ. To me, today this is the equivalent of touting the Jab four years ago.
Why?
I will say it and take the hits
my mind always goes to the worst place
What if they are using Trump to bring us in orderly
and compliant then kicking and screaming??
You aren’t alone in that thought. I’ve wondered the same thing for quite awhile now as I’ve watched the administration unfold.
We believed Bush and thought the Patriot Act was a good thing.
Would you feel better about sidestepping that possibility if kamalalalala had been “elected”?
I think that living on what ifs is exhausting.
the point is there might not be much difference between the 2
one is just leading a longer smoother path.
Yes, that’s true.
That is an idea that some have been kicking around in various you tube videos; mostly by people with the idea that Trump’s 2016 win was a ruse to get the right-leaning people in line with the future world global government monitored by all things Artificial Intelligence so you’ve probably heard that whisper from one of those channels.
Whisper campaigns is also how the swamp gets people to not trust their own instincts when new narratives are being worked out in the media.
So we’ve come 360°.
The elite, big money is/has jumped sides.
I guess we’ll find out if we can hold President Trump’s feet to the fire and see if he can remain altruistic.
Personally, I don’t think he has a problem remaining “We the People” first. The real question remains can he prevent the big money donors from doing what they always seem to do.
My Palantir stock is doing great
I’ll be dead before the Terminaters take over so I don’t care
Sigh…
I sigh because technology is the Tower of Babel, and while I understand that we must move forward in order to stay “competitive” on the world stage, I don’t like it. Anything can be used for Good or Evil. Technology enables whatever it is to go faster and be more precise. If we, in America, can hang on to our Constitution, in spite of Technology, then I am for it. Generations from now, if we live that long on planet Earth, those in power will forget the dangers and guardrails that Elon talks about. I guess this is just the human condition that the Savior came to save us from.
If we somehow had the capability and skills to completely sidestep all of the prophetic warnings about such things, would that mean that “such things” would never happen? I don’t think so. The prophetic warnings were not given either to win arguments about stuff or to figure out how to make them not happen.
They were given so that we would not be uninformed and confused, or unnecessarily lose our minds when the stuff started happening. We do have the capacity to understand what’s happening and, as it’s happening, perhaps be of more use to ourselves and those close around us.
“I don’t like it”….I don’t know anyone who knows the Scriptures who does.
Stay the course! We can be more calm in the midst because we have some understanding, and if there’s some way to delay or soften certain impacts of “bad stuff” – hey, we’ll go for it and do the best we can….
Watch out – or they may come after you for making sense. 😉
I believe this tech revolution will, of course, go off the rails and come against we the people. It’s just a matter of how soon that happens.
There’s a positive side to this:
Trump is adamant about protecting our 2A rights.
Elon predicts personal robots will cost $20K when mass produced.
We’re entering a possible new golden age in America. Entrepreneurial innovation and new production methods (3D metal parts printing for example) will make all kinds of things possible and cheaper.
Think about the millions of gun owners in America.
Now imagine millions of us being able to own self defense robots. An extension of our 2A rights!
A virtual army of “citizen warriors” could be unleashed on any entity that tries to control us.
THAT makes me feel pretty damn good about this tech and our future.
Would an EMP neutrilize the self defense robot??
Guess it depends on if it was internally “hardened” against that. Or … you store it in its closet which would basically be a Faraday Cage to shield against that very thing. Perhaps it’s just a matter of how much those protections would add to the cost.
Just don’t fall in love with Ex Machina!
“Musk and Thiel take over FedGov in all-stock deal.”
Trump mentioned building a US Iron Dome system today during his speech. Makes sense that these players would be involved and needed in that project alone.
Would a US Iron Dome protect our country from that new hypersonic weapon Putin has and used in Ukraine?
Probably.
Using laser weapons instead of traditional defensive munitions it could detect, predict the exact location, fire multiple times from multiple locations, and do so relatively cheaply per shot.
The tech now exists that didn’t when Reagan proposed the idea.
Some could be space-based, too, speeding up acquisition and targeting of the incoming threat.
There is really no choice. The legacy defense contractors are in steady decline–some in steep decline. They sacrificed top tier talent for the cause of DEI (better described at DIE) in order to curry favor with their customer’s political demands. Their cost structure is through the roof, and many have been penetrated by China in various ways. The innovations, the applications of new break-through technology are occurring in the smaller more entrepreneurial organizations, some mere startups. From a political philosophical standpoint, Thiel, Musk, Palmer Luckey (Andruil) have their heads screwed on right for the most part.
