The underlying turmoil is mostly economic, and we can trace the origin of these surfacing geopolitical dynamics to the post-pandemic plan known as Build Back Better. Inflation, skyrocketing costs of living, food prices, home heating, fuel prices, farming costs, transportation and so much more. Decades ago Southern California was loaded with manufacturing professionals. In my youth, every third garage seemed to have tradesmen tools – for their weekend hobbies.
They worked at McDonald Douglass, Hughes Aircraft, auto companies, local ports, chrome replating, etc. Many of those skills are lost.
I’d also offer REFUGEE status to Syrian Christians – before they’re beheaded – and South African FARMERS.
A fair idea to consider. The DEI crowd will have a fit as these people do deserve consideration for such an opportunity as they can bring valuable skills to bare and would likely possess compatible values.

Correct, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. We had all 3 auto mfg’s, Peterbilt, Catapillar, Pacific States Steel was a mile from my home and that doesn’t include all the Silicon Valley mfg. It’s all gone. All those high skilled labor careers. We don’t have a single automotive plants minus Tesla in the entire western states. The entire aluminum industry on the Columbia River shut down. It’s a tragedy.

I really like your post. But I’m surprised you do not recognize the elements of oligarchy that not only exist in the U.S., as the gap is ever widening btw the haves v the have nots. But surely the advances and vertical integration and wealth always moving upward toward the fewer, at the expense of the many shows no signs of abatement. Surely an age old dilemma.
I agree also that – as you suggest! – POTUS can get us all a running start in these next four years, back to at least some semblance of the freedom and American values that allowed for those with the impetus and bootstrapping ability, to build something from the “ground” up. But that is becoming more and more difficult, owing to bureaucracy and the seemingly never slowing pace of the control mechanisms that keep out those without the headstart. A “headstart” that oligarchy affords so many.

I do, indeed, recognize the oligarchical nature of our current situation comprised of, primarily, the Military-Industrial complex about with Dwight Eisenhower warned us, as well as the extreme, radical leftist and presumed ‘Intellectual’ component that dominates our universities, both private and taxpayer funded as well as the most influential media outlets. And it is not lost on me that some of those now seeking Trump’s ear and favorable treatment are amongst those oligarchs.
I am, however, hopeful that Donald Trump recognizes his special place in History and that he does not succumb to Davidic influences that may lead him astray from the mission before him; that he adheres to his promises and obeys the will of those who elected him to carry out those promises.

What a whirlwind week so far! President Trump is in charge. Where is the crypt keeper Joe? Nobody knows or cares about the illegally installed puppet in the WH. anymore. That Trump is dismantling a world system of international trade is the source of 75% of the opposition to him (the other 25% is Trump’s opposition to forever wars and his even stronger opposition to an endless fire hydrant of cheap labor blasting in through the southern “border”).
Global elites worked on that system for several decades, it has made them almost unbelievably wealthy, and they are not going to go along with its dismantling. I expect opposition to Trump to be even more than last term. They–and by they I include McConnell, Thune, Lindsay Graham, 15 other R senators, and most Republican House members–STILL believe that Trumpism is a bump in the road. You watch what they do! Where Trump has tremendous power right now is to make Congress irrelevant with regard to spending. The funny thing is that Trump has never been a fiscal conservative. President Donald Trump has called for Republican Representative Chip Roy (TX) to face a primary challenge, accusing him of undermining Republican efforts in the ongoing battle over a newly agreed continuing resolution to fund the government.
