What we see in this “preemptive pardon” narrative, is a repeat of the victim narrative. This time the White House discussion boils down to ‘Lawfare agents must be protected from any retaliation for their action’. Pardons presumably provide the mechanism to protect the victims. In the big picture of ideology, this is a continuation of the same mindset.
Politico started the narrative with an outline {SEE HERE} saying the White House was having an internal debate as to whether Joe Biden should preemptively issue pardons to members of the J6 committee, members who constructed false impeachment accusations, members within the DOJ who fabricated political cases using the Special Counsel process, or generally people on the political left who supported/facilitated all the aforementioned false attack fronts.
As the narrative is told, all those who supported the attacks against President-Elect Trump and his allies, now need to be protected from “retribution.” Inherent in the argument, and within the use of pardons, is the baseline that some form of illegal activity was taking place. Heck, if it wasn’t unlawful conduct, then no pardon would be needed. This is the political catch-22 created by the preemptive pardon narrative.
Various congressional people, DOJ insiders, White House liaisons, State Dept officials and underling staff are all possible recipients if Joe Biden decides to take this unprecedented approach. However, if you look at the expressed approach indicated by President Trump and the assembly of cabinet members who would be in place to carry out such “retribution,” you will not find any indication of intent. Quite the opposite is true.
President Trump does not appear to be in alignment with any approach that would lead to legal indictments, arrests, charges or other legal accountability measures. Beyond the public release of hidden, perhaps classified information that might put sunlight on the previous activity by those who weaponized their offices, there is nothing. Sunlight on prior events, while moving forward to restore functioning law and order, appears to be the most likely approach.

The language President Trump is using to describe the role of David A. Warrington, the switched White House Counsel, is something entirely new.

Normally the White House Counsel does not represent the interests of the President, the WHC represents the interests of the office.
I would appear to me, at least as I review the details, that President Trump is now fully aware how his Presidential interests can sometimes conflict with the interests of the White House Counsel, and he is making a move to ensure that conflict doesn’t happen.

Preemptive pardon, IMO, would cause a case ultimately before SCOTUS. Due process with a guilty finding must be the cause of someone found to have committed “an offense against the United States.” The wording doesn’t say “an offense that someone might have committed.”
Or at the very least offenses that must be identified specifically.

I had heard this mentioned previously, but listening to the Mike Benz interview with Joe Rohan, it seems quite certain that Hunter Biden was/is a CIA asset. It seems that the Biden family and the CIA had a symbiotic relationship, in particular regarding Ukraine.

It seems absurd to pardon someone who has not yet been accused of criminal activity. Are they admitting what the J6 bull*hit committee did was illegal? Cheney is guilty of witness tampering at a minimum. There may be some statutes for hiding or suppressing exculpatory evidence as well. Preemptive pardons seem to be admitting guilt for crimes that have been committed but we do not know about yet. Schiff is guilty of being a pencil-necked lying tool, as well as one who has committed treason by changing policy after taking bribes from Triad linked CCP individuals (see Schweitzer’s book Blood Money).

President Trump does not appear to be in alignment with any approach that would lead to legal indictments, arrests, charges or other legal accountability measures. Beyond the public release of hidden, perhaps classified information that might put sunlight on the previous activity by those who weaponized their offices, there is nothing. Sunlight on prior events, while moving forward to restore functioning law and order, appears to be the most likely approach.

Like I said earlier, the preemptive pardons are also useless. This is about sunlight. If the AG wants to empanel a grand jury to investigate New York State officials for election interference (she should), the primary goal of the grand jury isn’t indictments. It’s sworn testimony necessary to produce sunlight.
As with the Russia hoax and Ukraine hoax, which unraveled immediately once the principle architects were put under oath, there is an investigative role for DOJ to play to ensure it never happens again. The grand jury process. A “preemptive pardon” eliminates 5th Amendment as a strategy because they’ve already been pardoned. They can be compelled to testify, held in contempt, and if they lie/obstruct they can be prosecuted.
But that’s not necessarily the goal. It’s the threat of prosecution that will generate sunlight.

I don’t see how a pardon can be issued when there is no criminal charge to pardon. I doubt such a thing would survive in court.

Nobody will go to jail for those things. Bank on it. I think the strategy will be declassification, un-redacted documents, and public hearings. If we’re lucky, Bondi isn’t a complete moron and we’ll get 3-4 grand juries empaneled to investigate each of the frauds:
The new AG needs to put people through the wringer. I doubt she has the courage and wherewithal to do it, but I will be delighted to admit I was wrong.
The problem? All of those took place in jurisdictions that are – except Miama – massively Democrat. The odds of anybody getting convicted are almost zero.
The past several weeks I notice the media were all instructed to give the same narrative of President Trump weaponizing the justice department. They planned ahead for an excuse to pardon criminals.
