President Trump is scheduled to arrive in Paris this weekend. Today, almost in an act of divine providence, the government collapsed.
French Prime Minister Michel Barnier will submit his resignation to French President Emmanuel Macron tomorrow, according to France’s BFMTV. He is expected at the Elysee Palace at 10am local time. Barnier’s resignation is a constitutional obligation after he lost a vote of no-confidence earlier Wednesday evening triggering the collapse of his government.
SUMMARY of EVENTS: •Michel Barnier lost a no-confidence vote, triggering the collapse of govt. •It marks the first time a French government has been toppled in this way in more than 60 years. •Barnier is now the shortest-serving prime minister in France’s modern Republic. •Left and far-right parties united to oust him following anger over his unpopular 2025 budget. •Both tabled motions of no-confidence after he used special powers to adopt part of the budget this week without a final vote in parliament. •Nationalist leader Marine Le Pen said the public needed to be protected from the “toxic” budget, and that pressure on Macron is getting “greater and greater”.
FRANCE – The government of President Emmanuel Macron collapsed Wednesday after the National Assembly voted for the first time in more than a half-century to oust a prime minister from office, a sign of the political gridlock that has paralyzed France. The development leaves the country’s public finances in limbo.
A no-confidence motion against the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier won the support of 331 lawmakers in the 577-seat lower house, forcing him to resign.
Wednesday’s vote shows how the eurozone’s second-biggest economy risks becoming ungovernable. The growing fragmentation and polarization of France’s political ranks are testing the foundations of its democracy. The last time the National Assembly brought down a government was 1962 when France was reeling from the fallout of Algeria’s war for independence and an assassination attempt on then-President Charles de Gaulle.
Macron’s attempt to ward off the rise of Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally by calling snap elections this summer instead saddled the country with a hung parliament.
The National Assembly—which is divided between Macron loyalists, Le Pen’s ranks and an unruly alliance of leftist parties—splintered over its first order of business: approving the government’s budget for 2025. Le Pen and leftist lawmakers backed the no-confidence motion after Barnier proposed 60 billion euros—equivalent to $63.1 billion—in spending cuts and tax increases. The budget aimed to narrow France’s deficit, which is projected to reach more than 6% of gross domestic product this year, double the European Union’s limit. (read more)
… and President Trump is going to demand France spend more on NATO obligations. lol 😂

That’s what happens when atrizine turns the frogs g*y.
Here we go again”far right” no not far right. They/we are conservatives.
it’s way better to use plain language.
globalist.
communist.
traitor.
open borders rootless cosmopolitan.
welfare parasite.
invader.
racist criminal.
all this left right up down garbage is just deceiving speech. and not meaningful in any way.
Kiss principle.
Within the U.S. its
MAGA vs. UNIPARTY GLIOBULLUSTS
Worldwide its
Nationalist/Populists vs Globullusts.
And you are correct, conservative and whether the ‘C’ is big or small, liberal, Democrat or Republican, Left or Right are all meaningless.
Thats a great new word; globullusts. I’m stealing it.
I believe it’s also helpful to know the names of the actual crimes, as Tom Homan is attempting to do.
Seditious Conspiracy
is the Federal Crime detailed by Sundance over all these years. I’m sure there’s adequate case law, but the USA was invented from a serious of seditious conspiracies against England. From there we had other factions of seditious conspiracies throughout the 1800s, and into the 1900s as well. It’s new to most of us because we didn’t learn this in school. Might be time to brush up on prior USA seditious conspiracies to read about how they played out.
With due respect to Epic Fantasy Gamemaster, the Seditious Conspiracy law and opinion authors, could never have imagined a Seditious Conspiracy, with open borders rootless cosmopolitans of NEARLY ALL OTHER COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD involving invaders from NEARLY ALL OTHER COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. Thus, this is not a matter for Civilian USA Courts.
Or mainstream moderates. Normal people seem strange to M@rxists.
Not really, The left and right of America doesn’t equate in Europe. The right (conservatives) in the EU believes in a 4 day work week and government sponsored retirement age of 50. The left likes a 3 day work week and retirement at 40. 😉
I dunno, I know some train drivers who work from home, we call them scroungers( with a capital S if you like)
they would be of ‘the left bank’ in Paris.
Ouais, la rive gauche
Sounds the same to me. They’re just farther along the road to perdition.
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 ✔ ✔
Le Pens party is literally socialist, its just socialist for the French only.
It’s only a matter of time before NATO goes the way of the dodo.
Sooner the better. We were warned against foreign entanglements and alliances. End all spending on foreign subsidies, color revolutions, proxy wars and bring our military home.
No, PDJT is VERY CLEVERLY NOT saying he wants to withdraw the U.S. from NATO, or see NATO disbanded.
That would bring him all sorts of grief, as a Putin appeaser, etc.
No, he is saying the NATO alliance is a CONTRACT, and 20 of the nations are in breach of contract, and have been for many years.
And, if they don’t PAY, they don’t get to PLAY,.
To any accusations of trying to destroy NATO, he can legitimately point out he is making it STRONGER.
Of coarse, if they can’t MEET their obligations,,…oh, well.
IIRC, Hungary is one of the other countries besides the U.S., that HAS consistently met its obligations?
Well put. PDJT wants to compel them to fulfill their promises in the CONTRACT for NATO which includes those nations following the terms of the contract.
If they do not follow the terms then they are out of the NATO pact.
It is very simple.
Still “of COURSE”, Dutch. (I Like your ‘contract’ explanation.
As I posted earlier; if President Trump has a side meeting with Marine Le Pen, it will get interesting.
VSGPDJT …dump bimbo Bondi and make deal with Marine Le Pen !!!!!!!!
I see I’m not the only one: I call her a Barbie — i.e., unserious.
And this is something with which she has complete control: how she presents herself.
Forget abiut Bondi for a minute, instead if diing a real stretch to tie onto Texas Midgets comment, to avoid being o/t.
I find it revealing that the ” staunch catholic” President of the United States together with his “staunch catholic ” mentor Italian/American Nacy Peloosie and their great friend Pope Francis are NOT attending the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.
Meanwhile your great non catholic President Trump is honoured to accept his invitation.
From this old believer – may God Bless him and keep him safe.
Mary, Notre Dame, is probably content that the presence of at least some hypocrites will not dishonor her Son even more.
Being prominent cannot be equated with humility, a virtue lacking in the non-attendees named.
Recall I read that First Caregiver is attending in Joe’s stead.
(Jill, Loather of Kamela)
Oh no! The cathedral will need to be fumigated and then Exorcized next week then.
God has perfect timing 🙂
Trudeau stated that he would have Netanyahu arrested if he visited Canada. Days later Trump announced he will slap 25% tariffs on Canada. I don’t believe in coincidences.
Indeed. God does have perfect timing.
DD
Justeen himself shouldn’t get to uppity. When 70-80% of Canadians turn against him its likely his WEF pals won’t help him out
It must be a special kind of pathetic life to be a massive supporter of men who parade half naked broken innocent women around in Toyota pickups.
DD
Who left the door open for Marc to come in with his drivel ????
He will leave on his own if no one responds to him. Silence is golden…
I lovingly refer to this as “don’t feed the trolls”. Blessings on our Tree and friends.
Exactly!
Blessed morning and a happy reminder – it takes 10 flags to alert the moderators. Love and hugs to you, Treeper pals.
Mmm…. No.
You are a hater and a brainwashed fool.
you sound as brainwashed ….D E M S ….truth will come up on BiBi trial…and your head will spin…..
We need trials of hamas rioters here.
Go watch videos of Oct 7 and come back with your opinion of a war criminal.
I pray for the remaining hostages and their families.
Naama Levy, the poor 19yo child brutalized by those savages is the face of that day for me. Her bloodied sweatpants as she was pulled from one vehicle to another, dazed, terrified.
I pray she’s still alive. I’m pretty sure the last 14mos have been hell on earth for her. G-d bless her.
Children died on both sides. Neither side has the moral high ground.
I disagree, vehemently. Hamas could have been honorable and released the hostages. They chose to continue the war, violate every cease fire, and deliberately place their children in harms way. And they murdered hostages.
Geez. I wish I could read what people thought about what happened in France.
Je m’excuse
And they started the war.
Jew haters always respond with the ‘moral equivalence’ statement. Supporting Gazan males often dressed in jeans, T-shirts and flip flops, attacking civilians and hacking people to death with shovels while filming and uploading their barbarous acts online is enabling evil.
Just not buying that there is an equality there. It’s dishonest to infer that.
Uh, no. No one should be tried in a largely political court that is far removed from the alleged crime and the supposed victims. The Hague is both.
Is this before or after the innocent Israeli hostages held over a year are released? As President Trump stated ‘There will be hell to pay” for the true criminals, like Sinwar found out.
Wrong Mohammad
And see how easily Marc succeeded in hijacking the thread and taking us totally off topic?
BINGO
Dan is the one who shifted the center point.
Otherwise, it’s largely just a content-less finger pointing drill.
The challenge then becomes one of free exchange versus……purposeful gardening.
CTH reflects society. There are fault lines in all the politics. The swarm technique (which really escalated with Plouffe back in 2007), organized or emergent, is a permanent feature of social media IMO. As is ignoring rather than engaging, coordinating vis email in the background, etc.
In the main, I think the owners/admins manage all of these common behaviors pretty well.
Sooooo…..Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
On the human side, I had an email exchange or two the other day with a Parisian Notaire I worked with once. I wished her well along with safety and security. In the bigger picture, with a senseless two year war as the backdrop, Europe is unraveling.
Whoa! I guess you just went WAY off topic with your post. I thought I was going to read a comment about what others had to say about what just happened in France.
Hope you can reread the post and figure out the difference between Netanyahu and Barnier.
Marc: History is the engine of the future – Why now Marc? so many before, and now you decide this? All nine of your thumbs are guests.
Oh, I think PDJT was going to “go there” whether Truedope said anything about Benny or not.
Its just giving the World a taste of whats in store, its “pay up, mothers you have benefitted for 30 years, from/by ripping us off. PAY UP.!”
Coincidence is merely a word used to deny purpose.
Disagree.
I’m still laughing about Trump’s offer to Justin to make Canada the 51st US state! 🤣
That had me cracking up as well 😅😂🤣
All victors and losers in war can be said to commit ‘ war crimes’. Haven’t you heard? War is hell.
“God has perfect timing”
Especially when you keep your watch synchronized with his..
Oh, thats good!
Nah those following french politics knew this was coming and that the over the summer/fall reprieve was only temporary.
I’m surprised it has taken this long.
sigh.
more trust the plan garbage.
there is no plan.
Trump is taking over a chapter 10 basket case that used to be the USA.
It’s possible to hold off the receivers but it means giant changes and sacrifices. not cool trust the plan two more weeks it’s all 4D chess wishful thinking.
A good emperor could have bought the Western Roman Empire an extra century and maybe Trump can do the same but the trajectory is unchanged.
Once the enemy within reaches a certain parasite load the host organism is doomed. Sugar rush before the end doesn’t change that.
The hope will be for a New America, Byzantium as it were, to give the American Dream another thousand years.
Not true. Human and their animal companions can always take a deworming pill. If you are brave enough to do the dewormer, you can watch them wiggle in your poop once you decide to get they out of your system.
He/she is right in terms of the dynamic. Whatever the prescription, there will be pain. It is precisely the gameplan of the Left to politicize and escalate that pain.
Buckle up! 😁
We’re doomed!
/s
The Reality is there. We can hope PJDT still has his Lucky Charm. Going to France at this time is nuts.
Perhaps President Trump should tell Macron he is passing on the visit until they get their house in order.
President Trump is going for the Norte Dame Cathedral reopening.
Not really, IMO.
Though I’m sure he has immense respect for it as a symbol of the West and of civilization.
And its survival and renewal are poetically similar to his trajectory.
As is its political shapeshifting which is possibly arson enabled.
Yea, but no matter how many times LePen wins an election and Macron loses Macron is still President of France?
Macron is a Rothschild Banker, making him a Rothschild.
They invented “the steal”
Macron is married to a man!
I read the same. That’s probably why Obummer and Macron had such a special relationship.
Yes, because the within the framework of the French Constitution, Marine Le Pen as Prime Minister would be head of government, and Macron would be head of state, dimly analogous to our Speaker of the House vs. President…
Macron needs one of them olive green sweatshirts, seems to help the other guy get a lot of money 😂
Good idea, ‘cept they’re all out of the extra small sizes.
Get him one in the todler size.
Zelensky could loan him one.
They’re both comedians!
This is incredibly dangerous. He should not go.
Do Not Go!
I read tonight December 7 is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Already had the creeps about the France visit.
And Saturday 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate conception of our Lord Jesus Christ
The Immaculate Conception refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary’s conception as the mother of Jesus Christ.
Saturday the 7th.
So? It didn’t help the folks in Hawaii on the 7th.
Tonight is 12/5.
They are collapsing under the weight of all their unused military rifles.
Lived in Europe for a few years back around the turn of the millennium. The French were by far the most unbearable of peoples. I spit in their general direction.
”a shubbery”
I wish they “smelled of elderberries”..
I think you have to draw a distinction between the Parisians and all the rest.
True. All French folks to Parisian Frenchies aren’t French as far as they are concerned. They are insufferable. Been that way before and forever more
Pour la reste, il faut savoir qu’est que c’est “propre.”
And to just realize, your French will NEVER be good enough, so don’t even try – except starting every conversation with “Bonjour Madame” gets you one or two brownie points ; )
London is / was great. Paris mostly sucks and always has . . . And that was before the great descent of the last 20 years for both cities.
Give me the cathedral and you keep the rest.
I went to Paris for the architecture and history, not the people. Although they were quite nice to us, except our waiter. He was the perfect snooty French waiter.
What is it with the waiters there? I “enjoyed” the same experience. 🥴
😉
Paris is full of Mudslimes and illegals from Africa
There are also lots of Christians from the Middle East and North Africa who live in France/Paris because they are no longer safe in their home countries.
I wouldn’t want people confusing me we with a San Franciscan..
I will never forget some Parisian male who visited my college in the USA. I tried to say something polite to him in French. He sneered back at me as only a Parisian can do and replied to me in English with a thick French accent, “Yuuuure ack-sahnt eez terreebluh” (Your accent is terrible).
He did not see the irony of criticizing my French accent while butchering the American English accent. I just told him that is why no one likes Parisians.
One also has to account for all the gauche Americans who frequent Paris as well. I have a lifetime observing that.
Al Bundy:
Oh, by the way, am I alone here in hating the French?
Entire Crowd:
NO!
Al Bundy:
I thought not.
As the ol’ saying goes: I got a French rifle for sale, great condition – never fired, only dropped once.
That has been a long-standing bit of ‘humour’, but there were many, many, brave French men and women in “La Resistance’ (I don’t have the ‘accent’ to type (HA!))
We have been to France including Paris many times in the past 40 years and we have ALWAYS found the People, Food, Wine and scenic wonders absolutely wonderful. Compared to any large city in the US (NY, LA, San Fran) the Parisians are very kind and helpful. Try going to NY and pay for your meal in Euro’s like we go to Paris and think that we can pay in USD . Large city folks around the world behave different from country small city people. Try to order your food in NY by speaking Italian or French. People around the world are basically friendly and act just like us. Don’t judge a country by the actions of a few that behave poorly.
On the whole, French people are very polite. For example, if you are in a lift with a French person, or if you pass them in a corridor in your apartment block, they will always say hello. Similarly, French people will wish you ‘bon appétit’ if you are eating outside on a terrace.
This politeness is definitely not what is displayed in the stereotype, especially the stereotype of Parisians. It’s their attitude they display to all ‘others’ French though they may be, but they aren’t Parisians and this isn’t an affectation.
Who ever judge all of France by the stereotype Parisian? There’s the difference.
NY, LA and SF may have their misfits, but it isn’t largely populated with unkind unhelpful people. It’s generally true people in large cities behave differently from small country folks – they all have characteristics common to most. It’s also true people around the world are generally friendly, no different here nor there. The stereotype you paint of NY, LA and SF isn’t all of America. There’s the difference.
Over 20 years of marriage to a French woman, I had a chance to spend significant time in France.
I learned to speak the language somewhat fluently. That is the KEY to navigating French society and learning its customs.
Whether in Paris or the le paysage, I generally had good experiences and saw much of the country.
Now I have no reason or desire to go back.
At one point, President Trump suggested “France is no longer France.”
I do remember the dismay of my ex upon returning from one trip to see her family when in effect, she said, Paris is no longer Paris.
“ Paris is no longer Paris.”
And I can say the same for much of US and Canada. Mexico does seem to still be Mexico.
I know, though for different reasons, though, we are not as far gone as culturally enriched Europe, and have a chance to recover our country with President Trump returning to power:
One day I woke from a nightmare and found myself in a new country…
https://rumble.com/v20gie0-blue-skies-and-golden-grains.html?e9s=src_v1_upp
That hasn’t been my experience in Paris but then I’m from England and the old enmity is alive on both sides of the English Channel.
Have to agree…go with the right attitude and reasonable expectations and usually people are fine. Outside Paris, the Loire, Normandy, Provence, Strasbourg, other regions, the food and ambiance is much more friendly and relaxing. Any big city is going to be cold, unforgiving and somewhat dangerous. C’est la vie!
I have had only good experiences with the French in France.
Tis time for The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
LOL The French lost all their intellectual and their moral compass before and during the French Revolution .
The destruction of Paris as a clean, pretty, functioning capital city is almost complete.
macron will even look smaller beside Trump this weekend.
Self-edited: snarky comment comparing Macron’s wife to Melania.
^ sacre bleu! sacrilege!!
You were all thinking it anyway. 😉
I bet Brigitte Macron has more under the hood than a Citroen! 🙂
An anchovy baguette and a couple eggs pickled in soy sauce!🤮
Bridgette is such a strange little creature.
I was about to say something concerning *madame âgée* but bowed out 😝
You mean there is NO comparison… at least not within the same order of magnitude.
MiniMac
Well the French are well known as cheese eating surrender monkeys
<…the French are well known as cheese eating surrender monkeys>
Picky and messy too…
They always leave de Brie 🙂
Accccaakk!
Quelle Geste!
My kids used to sing about that in cub scouts. “Here’s my cheese, here’s my wine, uh oh I surrender”🤷♂️
The French have no insight into how they are viewed by Americans.
I was once asked, by an exchange student. There was really no polite way to say “surrendering cowards.”
Au revoir d!ck head!
A perfect opportunity to graciously bow out of this ill-advised trip to France. “I realize that my presence in France may be politically polarizing. I understand the challenges faced by my partner in France, President Macron, as he must guide the creation of a new coalition in his great nation. Accordingly, I respectfully decline our gracious host’s invitation to the re-opening of the spectacular Notre Dame Cathedral. The restoration of this fantastic cathedral is symbolic of France’s commitment to God and the culture of France. The French people have been artistic leaders, cultural leaders and have advanced democratic principles for generations. Out of respect for France’s democratic processes, I have decided to postpone my visit to france to allow our French partners to focus on their democratic priorities without the distractions of hosting my family. Vive la France!”
He’d have to uninvited and that’s bad optics. He’s going.
bs – things change
Well done
I think that’s an excellent statement!
Macron acts like a child when around President Trump it is almost
creepy the way he fawns over President Trump, he doesn;t seem to
suck up to others like he does President Trump
Perfect statement…and it is a bit blustery and cold there right now, so better to go in the Spring.
Well it is unfortunate that France has allowed this cultural devastation to such a beautiful French heritage
Yes very sad indeed. But that’s the only way the EU can maintain power, is to crush the nation state and its culture so that everyone is in one big soup. No special anything to be proud of, just a world citizen nothing more. All the European countries have the same dilemma, the desire to preserve their unique cultures, or be thrown into the EU cultural stew.
Same fight here, to preserve our way of life. My heart aches for the French, German, Spanish, etc. citizens who are in a dark age. Thankful that we in the US have turned the corner and have the momentum to preserve our nation and culture.
I hope this is a deal breaker for 47 going anywhere, much less to France right now.
Marine Le Pen now says:
“Checkmate, Macron,..you backed the Liberal Left and look what they’ve done to you now. I’ll take your Queen,…and await your humble entreaties!”
Sacre Bleu!,…the Fool Macron now refuses to resign, but Monsieur Le President will surely manage merde before this is Fini.
C’est la Guerre.
Vraiment!
I am not a recognized efficiency expert, but a president and a prime minister seem redundant..
The French form of government is a little weird compared to most other European or American governments. But these are people who, in the past 250 years, have gone through 5 republics, 2 empires and a Nazi puppet regime.
That way, no matter what they do, they always have someone else to blame.
cross posted at https://freedomaustralia.freeforums.net/thread/6429/surrender-monkey-government-collapses-president
I pray for Trump’s safety. That tadpole Macron is treacherous.
For Macron, let’s resurrect an almost defunct word: polliwog.
Parfait!
What’s the name of that stinky cheese they have in France?
Roquefort.
🤧
The French diplomat, Daniel Bernard
Actually, he would be ‘a stinky little cheese’.
Limburger.
Stinks to high Heaven but Oh So Delicious. If you can get past the smell.
There’s a real stinky one called Livarot…is that it?
Smells like rotten liver.
It’s Limburger and it’s German
Munster!!! I used to buy it in the market in Vincennes and the market lady got a kick out of an American buying and enjoying the most ‘fragrant’ cheese.
What is really collapsing is the ability of the French establishment to retain power by robbing populist parties of the seats they deserve in Parliament. That two step election is the antithesis of Democracy.
“That two step election is the antithesis of Democracy.”
Ranked choice voting, french style?
Brilliant
Basically yes. As I understand it, there is an election. In Great Britain, that’s the end of it. Parties are awarded the seats won. France adds a second round, a runoff of sorts between the parties that received the most votes in the first round. This gives the losers the opportunity to wreck the winner of the first round by ganging up.
In the most recent election Marine Le Pen’s party was the clear winner of the final round. Then in the second round the fringe parties ganged up to elect a leftist Parliament.
Sorry, LePen’s party was the clear winner of the first round.
That headline is pretty creative.
Why is Macron dressed like an American high schooler?
Ask his school marm wife.
Macron doesn’t care about a hung parliament. He only cares about kicking the power can another day forward. Germany is next. Its like playing chess and he is running across the board hoping for a draw.
The best news is that the European plebes are starting to see the WEF strings and the puppeteers hands.
The EU farmers have had it. If they boycott,… hunger, starvation, then mass Riots. Have fun, Macron!
Maybe if the French government gives more money, weapons, bombs, and troops to Jewlensky and Ukraine, their problems will all go away.
Except that they and Germany are going have a cold and expensive winter without cheap Russian energy. Gives new meaning to cutting off your nose to spite your face.
‘Jewlensky’ is very offensive. His ethnicity is not a factor in his incompetence.
All that’s missing from this picture is the other short soy boy who is the dictator of our ’51’ state…
The new Three Stooges, lol!
Macron’s nose! Sacre bleau.
How much of this collapse is a direct result of things that Prime Minister Michel Barnier did while in office, and how much is a result of french government policy coming to fruition during his time in office? France’s chickens coming home to roost, and it just happened to be Barnier standing in front of the coop when the feathers began to fly. All the while Macaroon is trying to hide behind the draperies saying “Who, moi??”
Couldn’t happen to a couple of more deserving Fools. The Iron Lady was right about running out of other people’s $.
Merde city now, Macron and Speaker Johnson will nix any USD bailouts your pal Biden might proffer now.
Barnier didn’t do much in office – seems that he held that position for the shortest period of time since 1958 or thereabouts. He just inherited the tontine of past governments.
I confess I don’t understand how the French government works. I know it’s a parliamentary type system, but unlike the UK, for example, it has both a PM and a President — and tne President appears to have real power, while the PM kinda doesn’t?
But if this series of events results in the demise of Macron, I’ll cheer 😎
The globalist minions are falling…
Falling faster than a soufflet when the oven door is opened.
Socialist souffles always collapse,… just a matter of time,…. and human lives in the bargain.
A feature, not a bug when immiserating the masses to enrich the few.
So true,…. but Monsieur Maximilien Robespierre, a lawyer by trade who was the Jacobin Leader of the French Reign Of Terror that murdered 10s of thousands of French men/women,… this member of the original French Few didn’t live long to enjoy the riches.
He lost his own head on the very machine Mr. Guillotine invented that this Psychotic Mass Murderer had used to decapitate those many thousands of the French masses.
How fitting. Have a care that French history doesn’t soon repeat itself , Monsieur Le President, Macron!
Trump arrive en France et la révolution de la résignation commence.
Trump Effect
I read last night that the Pope is not attending the ceremony? Did anyone else hear this?
Trudeau was just visiting Trump. Then Macron invites Trump? What did Trudeau leave at mar a lago? There is crazy neuro tech out there. Haha.ha
You can’t trust those leaders.
Is this a set up? I wish Trump would not go. This stinks.
Pope Francis will not participate in the opening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The head of the Church believes that his presence could divert attention from the ceremony’s purpose. Pope Francis has decided not to attend the opening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris
Awesome, so when can we see the back of Macaron?
I’m terrified of Trump not making it to his big day , he really needs to keep a low profile .
Agree.
Ego?
There’s a rumor that half the folks he’s invited to fly over and back with him have declined the invitation. J/K
You mean we could have bailed out France for only $63 billion of the $175 billion we gave Ukraine? Sacre bleu!
Maybe France can ask Zelensky for loan from all of the largesse the US is sending HIM. Certainly the money is not going to the Ukrainian people.
To the French people, see ya shoulda voted for La Penn.
“,…and President Trump is going to demand the French spend more on NATO obligations, .lol.”
PDJT hasn’t even gotten started, ..yet. First off, quite rightly the countries are delinquent, not just THIS year, but every year for the last 20 or more, and rightfully they OWE that $, and he and the countries who aren’t in arrears are within their rights to demand they catch up, ….
But wait, theres more!
What PDJT told Trudope, is just a taste of whats in store for the EU countries, most of whom are also NATO of coarse.
And that is the Marshall plan tariffs and trade barriers are OVER, and its reciprocal tarrifs from here on out.
There economies are entirely based on, and dependant on those unfair, uneven trade barriers, which have ripped off the U.S. for 1/2 a Trillion $, every year for the last 20-30 years.
And, “if you can’t survive without ripping of the U.S. for Trillions of $, perhaps you should become the 51st State.”
In other words,…”I DON’T CARE!”
THIS lopsided trading system, accounts for our trade deficit, it accounts for why EU countries have such generous “social safety net” systems, while ours are all bankrupt, and Europes well maintained infrastructure, while ours is crumbling.
In short, it IS what has caused the Exfiltration of wealth out of this country, and its not confined to the EU Countries, EVERY country has gotten similar “sweet heart” deals, and previous U.S. Trade negotiators weren’t just “stupid” they HAD to be corrupt, to agree to such things.
So, with a Trilion $ a year (1/2 from EU, 1/2 from China) flowing INTO our country, instead of flowing out, thats actually like 2 Trillion coming in.
And, thats not counting the $ from Energy as we become energy dominant.
Pay down debt, secure a BETTER version of Social Security, eliminate personal income tax,…and have the poorest American living better than most foreigners…
And yet, those in D.C. are doing everything they can, to BLOCK him!
His support, his “popularity” has only increased, since the escalator ride, despite and in some cases because of the constant attacks and villification.
There is no reason that trend should stop, now and given his second term, and what he can do with it, he can realisticslly continue to go up.
Making his enemies irrelevant.
And stop giving USA assets away, to other countries and congress kickbacks. Spend our hard earned dollars in house. CARE for America…bill
Your explanation is a clear picture of the non pretending reality of the US situation. If Pres. Trump can accomplish half of what you say, it will be a miracle. Diagnosing our economic problems accurately is the first step to restoring American greatness. Fixing them will cure so many societal issues as a natural consequence to ushering in a healthy economy and ultimately a better quality of life.
Maybe Americans will finally enjoy some of the social perks that Europeans have expected all these decades from the Marshall Plan and other NATO perks.
Then we too can finally sit back and drink champagne, (or beer) and enjoy the good life.
Vive Les Etats Unis d’Amerique!
At least a lovely, wonderful, beautiful job on the Cathedral was done while the gummint collapses. Trump should go visit it at another time.
No coincidence “Michelle” Obama was on a boat on the Seine sipping champagne as she watched it burn.
Satanic forces started that fire because it was an important node in Christian history, as it was.
I don’t know yet/haven’t yet closely examined the details of the rebuild they have executed, but I guarantee it’s not the same spiritual sanctuary blessed by God which it once was.
By design, of those who are our controllers.
Stop pretending, as Sundance has repeatedly advised.
Face the enemy.
Head on.
First step is knowing the enemy.
I feel Trump is in danger in France. Why would he want to go to that stupid church in the center of Paris with all kinds of complicated routes in and out. It’s not a world event to open a church up after restoration, why not talk to Macron in a simpler setting if it’s that important.
Make france cough up their part. Then get us out of nato before its to late.
France is NOT a democracy. It is a Republic.
The French fined s a news station for saying that abortion is the leading cause of death in the world. Between that and the Olympic mockery the French Gov. deserves to die.
Lots of irony, or perhaps symbolism in the juxtaposition of the Notre Dame restoration, the collapse of the French government, and the visit of Trump.
“I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there.” – Larry, the. Cable Guy.
It is not surprising that the saying “go woke, go broke” affirms itself once again. Of great concern to me is the World Economic Forum via the United Nations declaring some international siege underway and thus honor some covenant from a previous pResident and attempt to take over multiple country governments by fiat. The world is simply “too unstable” and it’s moving in a direction “they” (World Economic Forum, World Health Organization, New World Order) don’t want it to go.
Is the failure of these installed “governments” on purpose to impose a form of international martial law? I try to study the words of adversaries in what they say and don’t say through purposeful omission.

It gives me great hope to have strong leaders like President Trump in place to lead against the great amalgam of togetherness. (I hope!) I don’t believe the U.S. should get involved in every international conflict. I believe in Nationalism – regardless of those who say that is a “naughty” word. Nationalism believes every American should be American; every Chinese National, Chinese; every Russian, Russian; ever Frenchman, French. Nationalism is a matter of pride in one’s own country of birth or adoption. Be fully American.
I pray France is a lesson that the will of the nation’s People matters. Let none of us be forced into bondage by our “betters” who have simply asserted that they are “above” us. We’ve got too many with too high an opinion of themselves.
Viva la France!
I am still hoping President Trump cancels his trip to Paris until after January 20th. I do not trust Macron or anyone else who wants a nuclear WWIII with Russia. If Trump wants to meet with him just have Macron travel to Florida like everyone else has been doing.
‘Speaking to a rowdy lower house just moments before the vote, a solemn-looking Barnier said the government urgently needs to repair its finances, adding that France spends more on servicing its public debt than on its entire defense budget.’
The plan to collapse the US economy with debt is a significant threat. We need DOGE now.
Why do some of these countries have both a Prime Minister and
a President? isn;t that basically the same position?
In France it’s designed to be a check-and-balance. The President is elected and then appoints the Prime Minister to run the government (domestic policy). The President presides over the various ministers, national defense, and foreign policy.

Little known fact: French tanks have 4 gears and 3 are in reverse.
Hamas supporters now trolling at the treehouse?
Eyes on the key issue, folks. Despite this monumental failure and vote of no confidence, Macaroon has vowed to keep his ragingly egotistical behind firmly planted in the seat of power until his term expires in 2027. And no one can force him to.
Just like every communist Jackass Party miscreant in office here, who never caves to embarrassment or pressure.
This is the USA we don’t subscribe to the ICC.
