God, the sovereign creator, sustainer, and redeemer is working out His perfect plan from before the foundations of the world. It is His work.
God is good and because of this, His purposes are good. We need go no further than the very popular verse in Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”.
God’s plans are good because He is good. God’s sovereign plan is good. As elementary as that statement may seem, we often misunderstand what that means when we are in the midst of uncertainty, struggle, hurt and tragedy.
Why is that we misunderstand? God’s plans are if not always, often not comfortable. God’s plans aren’t easy nor are God’s plans without pain and sorrow. But God’s plans are good. Would we pray for boldness, more faith, more perseverance and trust asking for grace to obtain all that is necessary for help and be guided through God’s plans for us. We will then be enabled to separate doing the necessary before doing what’s possible. Proverbs 16:4 – The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
Even the wickedness and devious plots of men is not just something God works around, but something God sovereignly uses; to bring about His purpose and His plan. This can be hard for us to come to grips with in our finite and fleshly-minded hearts. But it is no less true now than it was for Joseph, and it is no less true now than it was for Jesus.
PDJT will always have to be in public with inherent dangers be it travelling home or abroad. He is required to be out and about doing his work, not hiding in the basement or talking to the nation or global leaders through a TV screen.
The disciples prayed regarding this truth in Acts 4:23-30:
