I have not been this stunned, surprised, shocked or taken aback since President-Elect Donald Trump announced Matt Gaetz as the next United States Attorney General.
Using his Truth Social account to capture attention, President Donald Trump announces, “Kashyap “Kash” Patel will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

As interesting as the announcement is, so too is the wording President Trump selected; not “nominated“, not “appointed,” a simple “will serve as“… Thereby leaving the maximum amount of interpretability available for the consumer of the announcement.
This has to be the most Trumpian announcement in the history of some very Trumpian announcements.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has approximately two years left on his term, and he has not announced his resignation. It should also be noted President-Elect Donald Trump did not say anything about firing Chris Wray, which would be in bad form considering that President Trump couldn’t even entertain the approach until he is officially inaugurated in January.
That dynamic quickly triggered the FBI to respond with: “Every day, the men and women of the FBI continue to work to protect Americans from a growing array of threats. Director Wray’s focus remains on the men and women of the FBI, the people we do the work with, and the people we do the work for.”
One element is certain. By saying, “Kash will work under our great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to bring back Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity to the FBI,” you can be guaranteed Bondi is going to be asked about it during her confirmation hearings.
So, what does all this mean?
I have no idea, and, quite frankly, knowing Trump, I’m not going near this with a 10-foot pole.
Perhaps it is better to wait a little while and wait until someone asks President-elect Donald Trump how exactly Kash Patel is going to “serve as” the FBI Director, and what approach President Trump will take in order to make that announcement turn into a reality.
I’m sure Chris Wray, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and John Thune will also be watching earnestly to see what President Trump proposes.
The level of ‘splodey heads amid the current and former FBI officials, in combination with the entire corporate media apparatus that circles American politics, are predictably going to be off-the-charts. The apoplexy visible within the Gaetz nomination will pale in comparison.

Because there are so many “paths of sins” IMO I wonder if PT strategy will be to use multiple Special Counsel’s to handle so many potentially cases?

Not sure I would’ve put Patel on my short list, but this fits with what I said a week or two ago. There were concerns that Trump couldn’t nominate someone until after he fires Wray on 1/20. But my suggestion was that he release a statement like this.
The only way he could have made it more obvious would have been to say something like, “Once the FBI Director vacancy opens early next year…Kash Patel…etc etc.”
The “FBI” responded exactly as I would have expected. The FBI responded with an acknowledgement that Wray will be fired and that Patel will face trench warfare if his eventual nomination gets approved. The FBI statement calls Trump a liar, frankly.
Trump is telling Wray he can resign or be fired. The FBI response is that Wray might make Trump fire him. I personally prefer a firing because it sets the proper tone. Wray is a weasel, so he might resign to avoid being publicly embarrassed. That has been the pattern in the various Trump court cases: to slink back under their rocks. The FBI hasn’t figured out yet that we already know.
Also, I love how “the FBI” can issue a statement. Is there anything more telling wrt the state of that organization?

Too many people still think our government could not do all this stuff – must build the case and change the mindset with long established facts where they exist but are still hidden. Then bring the cases of the government “doing things like that”, up to the present.
Think the recent total covid craziness that got such huge public buy-in, because so many still think …our government would not lie to us. But it does, and it did. Same thing. Prove how really awful the government deep state has always been when it suits their own ends.
Build the case slowly but effectively after wearing down theeinitial resistance to thee facts.
