I think it’s the latter – too negative. Too many here are looking for, dare I say it, revenge, or whatever word you want to use, in terms of going after officials in the Biden administration. That is not what the EOs are going to do on day one. As Miller stated in that 9 minute interview, the big focus is going to be on removing the millions of invaders who are bringing our country down through murders and draining the country’s resources.
We will get some of these officials eventually, but that is not going to be the focus in the first 100 days. We can leave some of that up to the House and Senate to investigate. This time, when criminal referrals are made to the DOJ, action will be taken. Same with any refusals to appear before them by way of subpoena – criminal referrals will be made and brought to bear.
But let’s get the promises made to the American people acted upon first. If they don’t do that, nothing else will matter.

McConnell ran in 2020 for reelection in a closed primary in Kentucky. He only got 24% of all eligible Republican voters. He won with 82.8% of that. But the percentage of registered Republicans in total who voted was only 31.1%. So there are plenty of Republicans who could have voted to take this guy out but didn’t.

On the subject of illegal immigration and the so called “sanctuary cities” and sanctuary mayors and governors, he says it best by stating unequivocally that the Federal government has “supremacy” on this matter.
My first thought after watching was, “Let us rejoice and be glad!”
Simply put, the governors and mayors who stand in the way are exposing themselves as not on the side of the citizens. That is not a wise path.
That issue will be resolved quickly by the citizens in those communities as these governors and mayors are exposed.
This will be a truly a federalist approach when you think of it.
The federal govt exerting its limited power regarding immigration. At the same time, they are ensuring local governments are operating in accordance with the rule of law.
The local citizens will be holding those local leaders accountable to the rule of law.
Peacefully and Patriotically.

Having coached youth hockey for over a decade I have a bit of experience, a coach simply manages personalities and talent by degrees. The players decide if they will be a cohesive team or not, it cannot be forced upon them.
Each player is there for a different reason, some for love of the game, some because their parents forced them, but each brings two things with them to the team, the things they can do well and areas where improvements can be made. The key for a coach is prodding that information out of the player and allowing them to be comfortable in their own skin and balancing personalities and talent, which leads to 100% participation from every player.
The pot stopped melting, there is no need for cohesion, we make everything available in every cultural sphere. Which invariably leads to distinctly different wants and desires from our elected officials.

In my experience, staff will not forward mail to prisoners who have moved on/transferred. I sometimes get these letters back (opened).
My impression is the Washington DC facility (1901 D St SE) is the most abusive, so if you have to pick one facility, this is a good choice (patriot mail project lets you query by facility).

We’ve been so abused over the last four years with only a four-year break from an eight-year abuse that it’s almost impossible to get exactly what we want or need. Sort of hard to accept those going into the fix were actually some of the abusers. Nonetheless, each day is a new beginning in life and so we must begin anew to pray for healing, understanding, strength and peace.

Well if you ever thought we would get all that we want then you were not being realistic. The enemy was not totally eliminated by a long shot. They won’t just sit back and surrender. This fight will go on for decades.
Only so much can be done and the best we can hope for really is that some of the big things like the immigration issue get much reform and the wall is finished and all entries through it are closed asap. Deportation will be a very difficult road but a good start and we will be moving forward. Other issues will be sorted through and some will be addressed and some won’t be. We have to face the reality that not everything can be solved or corrected in only 4 years. We have to be forward thinking and work for the midterms to get more MAGA candidates elected, keep the Senate and House for the whole 4 years (a huge task) and then work for the next Pres. election by finding the best people to continue America first MAGA policies.
This is a never ending fight and vigilance must replace complacency or we lose any gains we might have made.

However, at 5 p.m., a repossession truck arrived, seizing the donated RV and leaving this family with no choice but to return to the freezing tent in the middle of a snowstorm. That night, temperatures plummeted, and this young couple woke to the unimaginable tragedy of their baby’s death from hypothermia.
To FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, President Joe Biden, Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Governor Roy Cooper: the blood of this innocent child is on your hands. Your inaction, mismanagement, and negligence have directly contributed to this tragedy. You have failed the American people, and justice demands that you are held accountable.

I lived in the Asheville area from January ’90 until late ’95. As a self employed flooring installer, I worked in a 100 mile radius of Asheville with most of my work within 20 miles of Asheville. Many jobs were 5 – 10 miles down dirt roads. I saw breathtaking beautiful sights every day and I also saw mountain people living in dwellings that I knew could never pass code. Most of them were warm and cozy and downright attractive looking, but still, would never pass code.
Many of those flooded out of their homes will never be able to afford to rebuild when it has to pass code. To make matters worse, construction material has skyrocketed in cost over the last 5 years.
Also keep in mind that those beautiful mountains are loaded with retired busybodies or virtue signalling greenies who will not want to see another eyesore reappear. For every Jed Clampett wanting to rebuild there will be another Mrs. Drysdale calling zoning.
Maybe the RV wasn’t allowed where it was if people were living in it? It probably had to be set up in an RV park? Common sense should dictate a relaxation of zoning for at least a year.
Illegal aliens would be crashing at a local Holiday Inn or the Grove Park Inn. .
I wonder if those who took back the RV alerted law enforcement that people were camping out in a snow storm with a baby? They shouldn’t have taken the RV until the authorities arrived.

I have heated a small house with firewood only. It’s almost a full time job! I also heated a house on Long Island, of all places, utilizing coal only. Coal stinks a bit when you start it up but when it’s going, there is almost no smell. I would think handing everyone who needed a heat source a free pot belly coal stove and a ton of coal wouldn’t be too expensive for the government? Probably one day’s worth of Ukrainian “aid” money would cover everything. Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio are just a few hours away and have plenty of coal.

My Long Island coal heated house was a poorly insulated 1500 sq ft (?) house and I remember a shovel full of coal would heat it all night long on a 20 F night. The house had a coal furnace and not a stove.
We used anthracite coal which is the good stuff. You can handle it without it leaving any dust or residue on your hands. It burns with a low blue flame with almost no smoke. I was super impressed at the time!

The combined effects of no federal or state efforts – in fact severe impediments – along with kicking people out of the tiny homes and not allowing any work to be done on repair or construction in most of the areas are connected.

In regards to the repossessed RV – the person that donated it apparently neglected to inform that there was a lien and several back payments owed. The repo group saw the RV on social media and went after it – completely ignoring the situation and effects of their immediate actions and choosing not to wait one minute, much less till morning and/or alternative arrangements could be made. I’ll keep my personal thoughts regarding the matter off this forum in consideration of the treehouse.

Now I’ve gone back and re-read part of the tweet with the story, and this RV was not one of theirs. I at first only noticed the party about not accepting vehicles without clear titles.
The repo people were sick in the head to do that.
One thing that needs to be done, but will not do anything for this particular situation, is to include RVs under eviction protection laws if people are living in them due to a disaster.
You could not throw a family with a baby out of a rental property during a snowstorm, if they hadn’t been given plenty of notice that they were being evicted, and probably not without notifying social services as well.
This is a special situation, and needs special protections from fools and ghouls.

The winds (measure upwards of 100 mph) took trees down en mass (there are a number of drone and other videos of the effect – including one of it as it happened in the WNC updates thread). Then there was the (suspected intentional) mismanagement and massive water surge associated with a particular upstream dam…

Agree…unfortunately for most of those properties that were in flood zones…FEMA flood zones have changed over time…many homes that were built in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s were not in the “old” flood zones but now are in the “new” zones.
Flod zones have changed because of development…roads, new houses…lots of concrete runoff which changes the velocity of the water. Politics is involved but to a small degree…
The majority of the areas in WNC were outside of the 500 year flood zones and additionally a fair number of them were decimated by mudslides down the slopes.
Expect them to be redrawing the flood mapping… something we experienced way back when NW FL had a 200 year and then a 500 year flood. They (maybe still) used to redraw those maps every 10 years. That can create additional difficulties for property owners as well.
Worse, they ignore prudent and basic stormwater management while allowing high density develpment. They create the flooding situations on land that has never flooded then “redraw the maps”. Then they blame it on global warming. It is regulatory taking. They are criminals.
This can be far upstream and/or downstream of the water flow. Effects are cumulative.
They have sophisticated computer modeling tools. They know what they are doing.
President Trump should be commenting on this. And FEMA, the shake-up that will be coming. And “shake-up” includes people being held accountable.

I’m not good with lawyer stuff but I will give my simple interpretation of what I heard Attorney Jeffrey Clark from the “Renewing America Foundation” say on the War Room and his 40 page analysis of “On the Power of the President to Appoint His Magistrates”
Basically what he says is this:
Article II of the Constitution gives the President, as the one and only Chief Executive of the U.S. Government, the sole responsibility of choosing his own people in his Executive Branch, his Administration.
Jeffrey Clark also says the Constitution does allows the Senate to ADVISE, CONSENT. PERIOD. That’s it.. No more, no less, ADVISE,CONSENT.
No where in the Constitution is the Senate given the authority to hold hearings, trials, to grant or deny confirmation of any Executive appointee.
Advise, Consent. That’s it.
Jeffrey Clark further states these Senate Confirmation Hearings interfere and subvert the Executive authority given solely to the Chief Executive, the President to appoint his officers in a timely manner.
Jeffrey Clark is strongly suggesting the President as “sole supreme chief executive of the U.S.” exercise his Constitutional rights found in the Appointments clause and the Recess Appointments Clause to ensure his office is fully staffed and capable of performing their duties expeditiously.
The Appointments clause and the Recess Clause are powers given to the Chief Executive, the President to recess Congress and appoint his subordinate officers, his cabinet during the recess.
This Attorney and what he has said and written gives me hope Trump can get to work. You should check it out!

What happened to doing away with personal income tax and social security taxes?
If I only get to pick from those two then I pick for a MINISCULE flat tax somewhere around 5% on my net income (after paying for FICA, SS, Obamacare, state income taxes, and other forced taxes).
My government will want that flat tax to be 45% which is a huge NO.

So far this year, the national debt has ballooned by $2 trillion, despite GDP growth that has been well above the 15-year average. That’s the astounding thing, that the government has been racking up these huge debts despite the strongly growing economy. No one wants to even imagine how this debt would balloon if there’s ever a recession with falling tax receipts and surging outlays. It’s just nuts to have this during the good times (flat spots = Congressional debt-ceiling charades):

There has never been effective oversight of the NSA’s bulk collections programs, or indeed, intelligence agencies in general. There’s been a lot of noise made about this vaunted oversight in defense of programs revealed by leaked documents, but this is nothing more than a talking point.
At The Big Picture, a clip of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) discussing how oversight actually works has been posted. It’s from an interview given in 2007, about the time the FISA Amendments Act was being put together to replace the expiring Protect America Act. The amendments act, among other things, extended the length of warrantless surveillance and gave telecoms retroactive immunity for their participation in the NSA’s bulk collections.
Here’s Sen. John D. Rockefeller explaining why, even back in 2007, intelligence agency oversight was a joke.
