So, if Matt Gaetz is not confirmed as Attorney General, he could be appointed as a special counsel by the acting attorney general, and that could be why he resigned from Congress. The criminal matter could be Butler, PA, and that would be a conflict of interest for the Justice Department, and in the public interest because President Trump was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt. We need answers and accountability, and Gaetz would be relentless.

IMO, Matt Gaetz should publicly put out an “amnesty” call to any staff or officials who know that they one way or another participated in political targeting. Hear me out.

We need a truth and reconciliation that is enduring and widely credible. For that, you need unexpected people to flip, even if they’re “low level.”

(That’s what Trump’s first impeachment tried to replicate with their whole deification of supposed “rank and file” whistleblowers. It was transparent BS — but the concept is correct, you gain credibility by having people you wouldn’t expect to lie to come forward.)

The people who most deserve prison won’t flip. We know who they are. But you have to bet enough people with something to share WILL flip. The amnesty offer will make people worry — what if I don’t come forward and later the investigation comes to me? They’ll start looking back and re-assessing whether some of their actions contributed to the political targeting. It becomes easier – a relief – to come forward, especially if they have the sense that others have. You may even get someone like a Rod Rosenstein and wouldn’t THAT make Russiagate-truthers heads explode.

Just imagine the traps being laid for Gaetz and others. We’re winning, but we have to imagine the IC/DOJ playbooks are being run as we speak, on overdrive. A good thing about Gaetz is his ability to anticipate this stuff. If not amnesty, I’m sure he’s working overtime on not just the next 5 moves and countermoves — but the next 5 after that. In many ways, this is just the chess game he’s been training for.

And Andrea Mitchell can suck it. Every time these people respond to an answer with “well plenty of reporting and evidence contradicts that” they are LOSING their audience. She thinks by saying that it’s a credibility flex — no insight that the election just proved she has none.

He has to go after Democrats first. When the RINOs come to the defense of Democrats, that’s the FIRST glaring sunlight which people should watch. There won’t be too much surprise but it will be a disappointing reminder of who hasn’t decided to get on board with the Trump agenda.

Once the Democrats start to become comfortable with defeat, then it’s time to dig into RINOs still remaining.
