“This was no small thing, to restore a republic after it had fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may have been that our task was impossible. Yet, if we did not try then how would we know it could not be done? And if we did not try, it most certainly would not be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, would have been lost.”
“But I tell you this: We did not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we made with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from this day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”

Texas Paxton may not have wanted AG. He is trying to clean up Texas elections to get it like Desantis cleaned up Florida elections maybe. Get a bit more crimson in that red. We can’t lose Texas.
You’re right about that. Every election now, I worry about Texas. Without being overly dramatic, you could say that Texas is the last firewall of western civilization. If it ever goes blue, it’s over. And in every election after that, they will cheat like they’ve never cheated before to keep it blue. We might never get it back. If Paxton can remove that threat, then he should stay in Texas.
Before I retired, when the company I worked for wanted to downsize, they offered voluntary layoffs to effected departments. This seems like a wonderful way to get the ball rolling before Elon & Vivek are forced to a more “in your face” style of downsizing. depending on how it is done, it may even be less costly.
What does everyone think?
Great idea. But Trump can’t do it until he’s in, and at that point it’s time to break out the pink slips anyway.
If the people who are going to be fired are useless slackers, then I say just fire them, don’t offer them anything.
She’s hideous.. https://x.com/CitizenFreePres/status/1856878894172819710
Predictable. He will face more of that.
She got the face she deserved, as Orwell said.
Alaska voters need to do better and stop forcing us all to experience the misery of Lisa Murkowski! We need to put pressure on them when Murkowski is up for re-election, 2028 unfortunately. She won her 2022 race by only 6.4%, she is beatable.
Ain’t she a beaut? I mean hag.
There’s Lindsey Graham on Hannity. He’s all bathed up and shaved up and look like he has gotten some sleep.
And Hannity is trying to talk Lara Trump into running for Rubio’s seat. She said that she would be honored if asked by Ron DeSantis. I think it’s to fill out his Term which is 2 more years.
Isn’t Lara Trump a North Carolina resident?
She lived there before getting married to Eric, and her parents still live there. But she’s lived in Florida for 3 years now, she said tonight. And I’m sure they have a condo in New York because of the Trump businesses. But they consider Florida their home.

Question for you constitutional legal brains.
If the Vice President is constitutionally the President of the Senate….. why couldn’t he use his authority as Senate President to put it into recess which would allow for recess appointments?
He doesn’t have control over the Senate. The Majority Leader does.
NOT By CONSTITUTIONAL STATUTE, But by rule ( tradition )
https://www.senate.gov/about/officers-staff/vice-president/overview.htm
Does recess require a vote? I’m looking for the answer to my own question.
Update: I cannot find it but I did find info that makes me think they do vote.
” He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; ”

Hmmm. It kind of looks like he could indeed call for the recess.
No Bongino for Secret Service Director, please. His very loud GOTV efforts on his radio show and podcast are needed in 2026 and 2028.
I watched a little bit of Fallon and Kimmel last night and noticed that they both seemed very joyful and light-hearted and comedic which is odd because according to them HITLER HAS JUST BEEN ELECTED and he’s going to dismantle the government, appoint himself emperor, and send Democrats to prison camps.
I want a “Museum of the Deep State” hat. 🙂
I AM PRAYING.
A whole lot of decent, knowledgeable and hard-working people are going to get fired simply because they had the misfortune of landing a job at a targeted agency.
a Saying in the military branch that i WAS In –
” CHOOSE YOUR RATE, CHOOSE YOUR FATE “
A whole lot of decent, knowledgable and hard-working people have had their earnings taken from them to support government bloat- siphoning their vacation time, extending their working years, shortening their retirement, forcing mothers into the workforce, others into second jobs or lots of overtime.
The servants have become the masters and it’s well past time to get off the government teat.
Make Cincinnatis Great Again!
“Fired” or laid off?
Woot if this happens!
BREAKING: Trump team is reportedly discussing plan to adjourn both Houses of Congress under Article II, section 3 of the Constitution, and then recess-appoint Cabinet.
@GeneralMCNews

That would be one of the boldest moves any administration has ever made and half the country will be in fits of madness over it. Holy moly that would be way beyond anything I would think they’d have the guts to do.
I find it hard to believe they are seriously going to try that even if it is legal under the Constitution and who are these people making this statement?

So what? After what President Trump has gone through? Do you think Puerto Rico and DC would have become states? How about packing the Supreme Court? How about illegals voting and changing every state to blue? How about the filibuster? Anything else. What you are suggesting is losing. We have 2, possibly 4 years to enact and that is it. This is a one time only change. I am in for anything Trump wants.
So Thune wins in the Senate leadership contest and Johnson wins his speakership again. This does not sound like MAGA winning in these cases. Wonder how this will mesh with PTrump’s agenda on deportation and cleaning out the swamp. Thune is a known war monger too. GOPe kept their grimy fingers in the DC pot with Thune win. Johnson got rid of Gaetz who along with MTG has been a big thorn in his side.
Pass the popcorn.
He didn’t get rid of Gaetz. Gaetz surprised Johnson with his resignation today. But he explained that DeSantis can start the replacement of him right away
I just posted about that below. I know normally a vacancy in the House can only be filled via special election. But apparently depending on the timing a temporary replacement can be appointed. I have to look that up.
Neil Oliver, “Historic Day” – 16 minutes; he understands the implications of our recent election and is a good reminder to all that it is the whole world that is watching, hoping, praying that the election of President Trump will bring in needed change:
Awesome.

GLAD that POTUS Is ENJOYING The TEAM’s HARD WORK Tonight
HEAVY LOAD Tomorrow !
What on earth is going on? Daily Mail says Gaetz is resigning from his House seat effective immediately. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14080313/matt-gaetz-bold-trump-attorney-general-cabinet.html
Team Trump had better not pick off any other Representatives.
Daily Mail says DeSantis can appoint Gaetz replacement, but I thought House vacancies are filled with special elections (I learned from someone here).
From Daily Mail:
Johnson admitted that the resignation ‘caught us by surprise a little bit,’ but says he believes Gaetz resigned in order to prevent vacancies in the closely-split House and give DeSantis the eight weeks to find his successor.
I guess depending on the timing the replacement can be appointed.
No, I am sure President Trump has no plan. Where do some of you come from?
I’m not questioning Trump. I want to understand what’s going on and you should have been able to discern that from my comments. I thought House vacancies were filled by special elections, which I know can take many weeks to arrange. I have since learned from friendly commenters in the Gaetz thread that DeSantis is probably going to be able to do a very quick special election because of the timing of Gaetz’ departure.

NBC News reporting Donald Trump to appoint @Kash (Kash Patel) to replace Christopher Wray as Director of The FBI
If this is true then accountability is coming!! This would be a MASSIVE WIN 🔥

Doing a news search I saw this headline from NBC News: FBI Director Christopher Wray preparing for possible forced exit under Trump
Possible? haha
I truly despise these people more every damn day!! President Trump can’t get in Office soon enough!!
“Polymarket CEO’s Home Raided by Biden’s FBI; Phones and Electronic Devices Seized”
Excerpts:
Mere hours before Donald Trump met with Joe Biden at the White House on Wednesday, Biden’s own FBI was busy raiding the New York City home of Shayne Coplan, CEO of Polymarket, a prediction market that was extremely accurate in picking Trump to win last week.
This source also speculated that Polymarket is in the FBI’s sights because some in corporate media believe the site rigged its polls in favor of Trump, which they presumably think somehow encouraged the American electorate to vote for the former president. Reality check time: Most voters have never even heard of Polymarket.

It’s discouraging that the current administration would seek a last-ditch effort to go after companies they deem to be associated with political opponents. We are deeply committed to being non-partisan, and today is no different, but the incumbents should do some self-reflecting and recognize that taking a more pro-business, pro-startup approach may be what would have changed their fate this election.
Polymarket has provided value to 10’s of millions of people this election cycle, while causing harm to nobody. We’re deeply proud of that.
I’m also proud to say that the future of America, and in particular American entrepreneurship, has never been brighter.
In the face of adversity, we build 🦅
