All legal cases are unraveling and they will not imprison a sitting President as those cases will not conclude before he takes office.
House minority can temporarily delay complaining but they CANNOT prevent his confirmation as the minority has NO authority over the majority party.

It was the reason there was so much expediency to get things filed before the election so they could impact the results. All the cases would have been overturned but they don’t care because they thought they could get him to lose.

The simple fact is that by next Tuesday, the 12th, Merchan must rule on Trump’s motion to dismiss. Merchan has already denied prior Trump motions based on immunity. The difference this time is the SCOTUS ruling and how Merchan applies it. We all believe it should be dismissed, just as we have all along. If he does, it’s over, as it should have been long ago.
But if he refuses to do so again, he is scheduled to sentence Trump on 26 Nov. It is a NY state case, not a federal case. If it moves forward to sentencing, he could order Trump cuffed in the courtroom and remanded immediately to Rikers for a term of 20+ years. Not a damn thing Trump or his lawyers could do to stop Merchan in the moment.
Trump would appeal immediately of course …but in the meantime, he would be in jail in Rikers. Fact. I realize you don’t like facts that don’t fit your mindset, but facts remain.
I think Merchan will back down and use the SCOTUS ruling to get out of the oven he has put himself in. But then we all thought this would never come to trial, nor that 12 NYC jurors would ever find him guilty, or that Merchan would go this far. Common sense says Merchan will back down.
But what if he doesn’t? There will be tremendous pressure on him from both sides. It’s the left’s only real chance at both jailing him and using it as grounds to reject his confirmation. It would only take a handful of RINO Congressmen to make that viable. Not likely, but it’s legal, constitutional, and possible.
Again, I think Merchan will duck and dismiss. But it’s in his hands and no one else’s. He can do what he damn well pleases and has already proven he will.

You obviously never read about the Supreme Court decision on Presidential Immunity and that most of the evidence and argument used by the prosecution to convict President Trump was deemed to have Presidential Immunity!
Not only that but the SC decision also specified that the court must have hearings and determine what evidence is admissible under Presidential Immunity and what isn’t BEFORE ANY EVIDENCE OR TESTIMONY is even presented to a Grand Jury. Merchan did none of this!
Finally, Chief Justice Roberts specifically stated that no prosecution can be taken against a President in office which rules out any imprisonment.
If you think that the Roberts is going to let a third world immigrant judge from Colombia put President Trump in prison for more than 20 minutes you’re mistaken.

It’s Merchans call on how he interprets and applies the ruling, not yours or Baghdad Bob’s. You can’t dictate shit to Merchan. Roberts can’t do anything until Merchan rules on the Trump motion. If he dismisses, it’s over. We all agree that’s what he should do.

The SS already, according to reports, has an arrangement with Rikers on how they will provide protection while in custody.
Trump will make an emergency appeal, and SCOTUS will review it. Time is required. It will come down to how well-argued Merchan’s decision is …and he will have top legal minds to help. In the meantime, the clock is ticking on sentencing.

An interesting note about those major democrat run cities v/v this election. The Urban sprawl spawned by these large cities is largely red and and purple politically. That means, the cities themselves NO LONGER hold as much political clout as in previous elections .. with the exceptions of NY, ILL, AZ, NM, CO and CA. The balancing impact of these suburb areas needs to be re-evaluated.
