Term limits punish the people! We like to keep our constitutional legislators! Can you imagine the number of “lame duck” legislators all at the same time? What do most “lame ducks do????? Take a moment to read the Federalist papers. Term limits weren’t included in the constitution for anyone but our Founding Fathers never anticipated that elected officials would have lifelong careers in government. Don’t come back at me with SCOTUS as they are appointed not elected.
Term limits eliminate the lifetime of corruption. Term limits end the accumulation of power.
Nothing is perfect, term limits are needed.

Term limits will only work if paired with restrictions on seeking other positions in government, be it elected or appointed. Keep would-be scoundrels from taking root in the halls of government and they will not have had sufficient time to collude with others in securing the power to create mischief.
If it were possible, I’d prefer to see term limits coupled with measures that prevent representatives from profiteering, i.e., ban on congressional stock trading.

Gen Flynn is correct. This is the most dangerous time for President Trump. The Deep State tried by all available means to eliminate Trump, including assassination. None of it worked. Currently, it is only a violation of policy to inappropriately classify documents. He needs to work with Congress to make it a criminal offense for documents to be misclassified in an attempt to prevent disclosure of embarrassing or even criminal conduct.

All Federal jobs should be designated as “at will” employment. They need to bar the practice of using the filing of EEO complaints as a weapon against being fired.
Finally, enact legislation requiring all Federal departments to terminate the bottom 5% of their employees every year. Those employees may not re-apply for a job in the Federal government for 5 years.

Everyone in Federal service above grade GS-15 is in what’s called the “Senior Executive Service”. The SES is a position classification in the Federal Civil Service equivalent to general officer rank in the military. Like general officers, these position are all technically Presidential appointments, and thus not as protected from dismissal like “regular” civil service employees.
I believe that thevPresidentbcan fire any of them at his or her pleasure, just like he can fire any general.
Trump needs to flush the SES ranks as a first order of business.
All SES positions serve at the pleasure of the President. They can be terminated for any reason or no reason.
There are “some, few” SES people who are worth keeping. Not many, but some. Probably 20%. The rest, fire them all. I’ve worked for them in a past life, and know from experience. Worked in DC for 7 years. Spent the last 3 years of that trying to escape from the madness. Nobody in their right mind wants to work there. It is a cesspool of incompetent megalomaniacs. Hopefully in this second term, in lieu of getting an amendment to impose term limits on Congress, seems the easier step would be to get the States to overturn, repeal, the 17th Amendment and put the selection of Senators back into the hands of the individual State legislatures since the House, Congress, is already term limited to 2 years and it is up to the citizens of their districts whether to keep them or not. Basically, return the balance of power back to the States and the individuals instead of these internationally financed lobbyists who have bought and paid for the Senators.

That would require an amendment to repeal, which requires 2/3 of the states’ approval. An example the 18th amendment was repealed by the 21st amendment.
