Colorado Electoral Votes Go to President Trump…
When President Trump wins the popular vote doesn’t he automatically win the electoral votes for Colorado and other states that changed their law to award electoral votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote?
I live in CO. There was an effort after John Kerry lost in 2004 to try and short circuit the Electoral College by awarding the state’s EVs to the winner of the NPV. There were several “blue” states involved in that, but the initiative went nowhere.
Instead, CO implemented state wide mail-in voting and we haven’t elected a Republican to statewide office since those ballots start getting mailed out in 2014. (One exception, Cory Gardner, a one-term senator) So they got what they wanted.
