Wikipedia states that the agreement would only go into effect after they have enough states to represent and absolute majority of votes in the Electoral College. They currently have 209.

According to analysts, a lot of people who voted in 2020 didn’t vote in 2024. The Democrats were way down on early voting by absentee.
My guess, in 2020 due to the pandemic lockdowns, so many people at home with nothing else to do,who were easily reached by ballot harvesters.
Also, there was a lot less vote by mail for the Democrats to exploit.

Interesting day working the polls yesterday (Maryland). The well educated African Americnan lady working beside me, very good at her job, took a look at the ballot towards the end of the day. “I didn’t know RFK Jr was running for president,” she said. When I informed her he suspended his campaign and joined forces with Trump, she couldn’t believe it. Just kept shaking her head and tsking. I guess her news sources suppressed that information.
Also, as typical, most voters had no clue there were questions on the ballot. “Reproductive Freedom” (as yet to be defined by the State) is now a constitutional right in Maryland. Roughly 75% voting yes. Ugh.
Steny Hoyer, age 85, in office since this senior citizen was in high school, reelected. He has a stroke earlier this year, too.

Having said that the election was closer than I thought it would be. I thought with JFK Jr, Musk, Rogan and others it would be an electoral landslide and it wasn’t.
