Continuing a seemingly ridiculous need to speak about private conversations with President Trump, Robert F Kennedy Jr has created quite a stir by telling his supporters that President Trump has promised him “control over the public health agencies.”
In a video chat with his supporters, obtained by the Wall Street Journal, RFK Jr says he will have control over Health and Human Services (HHS), and the sub agencies of CDC, FDA, NIH and the USDA. While there is no reason to doubt the validity of what RFK Jr is saying, there is no reasonable purpose for him to be talking about specific positions, plans and objectives this close to the election. I do not see this as a negative during this election. We ALL should be voting on the issues and Good, healthy food is a major issue within the USA.

I seem to recall that back in the late 80’s early 90’s several chemical products were advertising that their products were safe for humans to drink – ranging from permanent wave solutions to garden pesticides – possibly glyphosate? Sales people would open and drink in front of potential customers. Anybody else remember that?
Also after Chernobyl many eastern European nations were suddenly selling products ranging from caviar to jams were suddenly appearing on US market shelves while at the same time TV news showed western europeans taking radiation detectors to the produce in markets there. Recently I was warning a young person about purchasing foreign products like cookware made with metal because they could use radioactive materials and our consumer product safety commission seems defunct. Next day an article about France intending to make products like doorknobs and eating utensils from depleted uranium that will be “safe.”

Control over public health issues is a strong one for people on the left (who advocate for or depend on government control over health related issues). In this respect, I am absolutely on the left in the sense that government power is required to keep poison out of our food and other criminality out of our medicines. And some people might think this is not a left or right issue, I will remind people the spectrum from left to right is government control on the left and no government control on the right. If we leave industry to its own ideas about how best to preserve food on shelves and how to make food or drink more attractive with poison dyes? Our health will continue to get worse. We need government control for that. Business doesn’t have a conscience.

My last thought ( hoping ) on the viability and wisdom ( or lack thereof ) re RFKjr is again. I think he’ll be fantastic in the roles ASSIGNED HIM by POTUS and that he is no threat to President Donald J. Trump. The man’s a boss.

What part about making the people of this country “healthy again”offends all of you so much?! After being put through all of the things they did to the American public during the “plandemic.” Everything that the American people have been put through for the past four years, you find it difficult to believe that our government would have a problem with making us sick through our food? We have seen how ALL of OUR government health agencies, held hands, and demanded that we all take an untested poison shot that will affect the health of Americans for generations to come! Why is it they allow countries, from all over the world, to sell products (drugs and food) here in the US, that they ban from use in their own countries? All of the foodies out there find it cool to eat “Farm to Table” while dining with their friends, but they don’t think enough of their children, or themselves, to want to eat that way at home daily? To get healthy and get off of all of these drugs they have people on these days? We’ve gone from 6% of the population being affected by chronic diseases in the 60s, to 60–70% of the population being affected by chronic disease diseases today. If we took 10%, probably not even that much, of what we spend with the pharmaceutical companies (all foreign) and gave that to the AMERICAN (not Chinese) ranchers and farmers, we could all afford to eat healthy food instead of spending money on prescriptions and vitamins to supplement the crap food we eat. People could afford to buy healthy meats and vegetables and feel better naturally. Why does wanting to accomplish this for Americans make RFK Jr. a horrible person? Joe Rogan has been in the news because of him interviewing President Trump. I challenge all of you to listen to the Joe Rogan interview of RFK Jr. Or, the Tucker Carlson interview of the Means brother and sister, a former surgeon and lobbyist for the food and pharmaceutical companies. They will also be coming on board to help “Make America Healthy Again”!
They follow their leader, like sycophants. He doesn’t like or trust Bobby Kennedy and they parrot those opinions without knowing much.
I am genuinely concerned that might be so. I recently arrived here by virtue of retirement, though having been an avid “reader” of the site for many years – the only comment I have received was from our illustrious host, whose continuing work and efforts I applaud, defend and enjoy daily. SD said to me:
“RFKjr might not be the person you think he is“.
To which I simply replied: “Sundance, I do hope for once, that you are wrong!” 🙂

I understand the distrust of RFK already lol. But I also know that smart people ( RFK is smart ) often adjust their positions on people, places, things, circumstances and situations. Happens every day.

But “control” over an agency seems like a naive thing to expect. I don’t think Trump would promise any such thing, unless it is to put a certain fear into the bureaucrats that work there.

I think he speaks what he knows to be a positive thing, not thinking how it could impact the Trump campaign negatively. While I like his agenda, I certainly don’t trust him. I accept him, but I will always be watching him closely for the betrayal.

I watch AgDay on a regular basis. I sense a “disturbance in The Force” when RFK Jr is mentioned. The presidential election will be another rural versus urban vote. At the moment, Iowa is not looking as good as I’d like.

Nobody in the game now wants him to come in and clean it up. And apparently many people here feel the same way.

When you are forced to apply on internet for a program like Obamacare people think that it’s all very egalitarian but I think they have so much information about your personal information for your IP address or your name that TPTB can play their DEI games with benefits that you qualify for if the criteria of need is the only qualifier. Too many people suspect that is why some people do well with that program and others can’t afford even the fine for not being able to afford it. IDK personally but I am wondering because of rumor about Medicare costs going to triple due to misbehavior of Biden/Harris and seeing open enrollment extended until mid January. That would seem to confirm the rumor. IDK if I’m going to be able to afford all the increases coming my way and if the rumors are true I think it’s absolutely criminal to hide it from voters.
