Funny thing is I’m almost done listening to a book about Netflix written in-part by one of the original founders.
Early in the book he discusses how they went to Blockbuster in an attempt to get them to purchase Netflix and integrate them into Blockbuster. I can’t remember if it was a hard no or a stupid offer, but the point was Blockbuster couldn’t see they were a dying company and couldn’t see the innovative idea to pivot which would save the company.
A lot of “smart” executives are dumb. Just like when Elon Musk was working as an intern at a bank in Canada. He found out they could buy an unlimited amount of South American debt at $0.15 (in the ballpark, my best guess without looking it up) and the US government was guaranteeing it at $0.50 —> no brainer, but the execs took a hard pass because they’ve been burned by South American debt before (too closed minded to see this was guaranteed profit backed by the US). That’s when Elon realized bankers were stupid and started his dream of creating his own system (X who merged with PayPal, now X will turn into eventually I believe).
No imagination in a lot of areas – big auto, big space, etc all unable to adapt due to unchangeable culture and beliefs.

The whole interview is great, but Cliff Sims says the exact same thing. If someone didn’t like what you were doing they would back stab to get you out of the inner circle. It is what someone did to him. He said Trump would ask a variety of people what they thought and then make a decision. Those generals had heads so big that they couldn’t fit through the door, I imagine they had some serious butt hurt in working w/Trump. The top brass are the ones I despise the most in all this. I held them in high esteem and they turned out to be POS.

Retired Magistrate here: JD was an excellent pick. Those of us in Ohio who elected him to the Senate knew that he was the right pick for Ohio. Vance is quick on his feet, has common sense, very intelligent, loyal to his constituents and will make an excellent Vice President. He is the future of the Republican Party.

I read a Notre Dame related political website daily. I was kicked off in 2016. No Trump supporters are allowed to post. The people posting are the most “book smart” (many lawyers and Chicagoans) in the country but sorely lacking in common sense, street smarts and wisdom. I read there daily to monitor the state of the left and Anti Trumpers and for determination and inspiration to knock on doors for Trump. The total volume of posts are down compared to 2020 and 2016. I take that as a good sign for PDJT.
Any group afraid of the other point of view is useless. They convince one another they’re geniuses.
