I’m a North Carolinian as well and have been all over the affected area. What lies are you referring to that were told by Trump. I’ve never voted for Trump and have no reason to shill for him.

The fact is, FEMA has been an inadequate and inefficient agency through multiple administrations. You’re right, when it comes to grievances pertaining to FEMA it shouldn’t be a partisan issue. It isn’t a conspiracy theory or a lie to point out that FEMA didn’t show up to Mission Hospital in Asheville until 5 days after the devastation occurred. After 5 days and being in 5 different affected cities and towns, I seen one FEMA personnel(inspector) in a FEMA vehicle from Nebraska.

It is a fact that the bulk of the relief efforts and projects have been conducted by private, civilian and local authorities, individuals and organizations. This is true in regard to supply procurement and delivery, clean up and repair, Starlink acquisition and delivery and the dissemination of truthful information.

There are all kinds of lies and conspiracy theories being spread and it’s coming from all directions. Yet, anyone who downplays the inadequacies of FEMA isn’t being honest. It is a bureaucratic nightmare that needs major reform. To say that it doesn’t, would only lead me to believe that you are a hyper partisan that’s afraid that targeting FEMA for its failures means you have to target the current administration you otherwise support. This is faulty logic that needs to be corrected for the sake of proper reform.

Even worse than FEMA in the case of NC has been the Governor and Dim party refusing to issue the orders to send the troops in and the federal government using them (state pols) to deny the manpower and helicopters needed to save lives.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday that social media companies must moderate content on their platforms or else “we lose total control.”

Clinton told CNN host Michael Smerconish that while there have been some steps taken at the state level to regulate social media, she wants to see more done by the federal government to moderate content.

Last month, Clinton suggested during an appearance on MSNBC that Americans accused of interfering in U.S. elections by spreading “propaganda” promoting former President Trump should be civilly or even criminally charged, as she cited the 2016 election in which she lost to Trump.

The government, especially the federal government, is a bully. Their bluff and bluster is an illusion that only works on the peaceful and law-abiding, who are inclined to do the reasonable thing and would do so in the absence of any government at all. This while they cozy up to the law breakers, the cheaters, the pedophiles and scammers. It isn’t hard to see that they are on the side of criminals, having much more in common with them than the peaceful, patriotic citizens they govern.

That is the key, though, isn’t it? They don’t have to govern the peaceful, they govern themselves, behave themselves. The worst the civilized people might do is poach a deer or exceed the speed limit, knowing the consequences of it and ready to suffer them. It’s the thrill of disobedience that makes them feel more alive, almost free until the blue and red lights reflect in their mirror. That is, until they witness for themselves the hostility of their own government, the heartlessness of it, the outright contempt their paid servants exhibit. It gets worse as they watch, stunned, shamed by their actions. they see their fellow citizens martyred in the most horrific ways, stranded on rooftops, children wandering aimless crying out for missing parents, with all rescue flights grounded, as if to starve and dehydrate them out of existence.

Our Democratic Party Jacobins have been harder to defeat because government these days is vastly larger and more complex, and the equivalent of the Committee of Public Safety is now a huge network of cadres toiling in scores of federal agencies and associated NGOs financed by those agencies (or by their billionaire henchmen such as George Soros, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Reid Hoffman). Insane as they are, many public officials understand their culpability for the treasons and insults of recent years. They live in fear of prosecution and, short of that, of losing their cushy sinecures in the colossal bureaucracy that is bankrupting us.

      There are many in our country today who are also not insane, just as in France circa 1794. This is actually the chief appeal of Mr. Trump, though he often expresses it clumsily, coming, as he does, from the rough and exacting world of property development, which is full of rough people in rough building trades using rough language. Secondarily, Mr. Trump represents leadership — the sheer idea that an actual person should be an executive-in-charge of a national polity — and it appears that a majority of the people in this land are finally sick of a faceless blob ruling madly from the shadows. Thirdly, Mr. Trump has become a national father figure, a titanic offense to a party run by women with daddy issues and to their Marxist allies dogmatically bent on destroying the family (along with every other institution). As it happens, countries need fathers, both actual and symbolic. What a surprise!
