Tonight, Vice Presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz will debate for 90 minutes in New York. The debate is being simulcast by CBS and will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan.
The debate is scheduled to begin at 9:00pm ET and run until 10:30pm ET. The debate will be in Studio 45 at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York. There will be 4 breaks for commercials. JD Vance has a very confident, competent, and disarming style of debate. I have been incredibly pleased at how well he has shut down the talking heads on the Sunday talk shows and fully expect him to do well tonight.
Tim Walz is an insecure bully with a bad habit of overstating his accomplishments and getting angry when challenged on his lies.
If the moderators stay out of this one, I believe it could cause a serious shift in the polls, especially in the Rust Belt states, where hard-working , law-abiding citizens are very tired of being ignored and/ or belittled!

The moderators don’t matter much. In fact, the more obnoxious they are, the more it becomes an asset to Vance. IF… he handles them correctly. “Hey guys, why don’t we just send Tim home to restock the boys room and the three of us can just debate? That seems to be what you’d prefer…” Something like that.
Vance is too smart and too quick to let them, or Walz, get under his skin or throw him off message.
Everyone expected the ABC moderators to be biased but the level of their insertion of themselves into the debate was staggering! I’m sure that JD Vance has been practicing lines just as you listed above, in order to shut them down very quickly. The American people saw what happened to President Trump, when it was clearly three against one, and I suspect they will be watching this debate very closely to see if it happens again!

No debates have occurred ever in a presidential race: even the Nixon-Kennedy “debate” was no debate.
For a real debate, ask a member of a high-school debate team how it works.

I know that 70% of the people here dislike Vance, but I think this is a great opportunity for him. He’s a good debater, and he should be quite adept at dealing with that communist liar. Not to mention that he has been excellent with the hostile far left media. There was an interview with Dana Bash, and he chastised her for interrupting him while doing nothing of the sort when Kamala was questioned. I love Trump, but I think Vance is a much better debater, and I hope that he shines tonight.
I don’t dislike him. I just don’t fully trust him. But I do think he has done well in the few interviews I’ve seen and I hope he does do well tonight. I think he will.
