Iran has fired over 200 missiles into Israel in a retaliatory attack after Israeli strikes against Hezbollah and Hamas, including assassinations of top commanders. The ballistic missiles are reported to have been launched from inside Iran.
U.S. and Israeli Iron Dome counter measures were deployed along with a dozen interceptors fired from U.S. warships located in the Mediterranean. However, multiple strikes were reported within Israel. The war against Hamas has escalated significantly.
Israel has vowed to hit back against the direct attack from Iran. In a video statement, Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the “attack will have consequences.” He added: “We have plans. We will act at the time and place of our choosing.”

Perhaps I am naive, but I do believe that this war can be fought against the Mullahs of Iran & the IRGC and not the people of Iran. To that end I pray that the Israelis are as far ahead of the Iranians in planning & execution as they were with Hezbollah.
Setting aside taking out any Iranian air defenses, my humble opinion for target recommendations is:
#1 – Any and all nuclear facilities, including any suspected weapons.
#2 – Decapitate the Mullahs & IRGC.

I am Israeli. 1. Iran don’t have nukes. If they did we would know. Mossad is all over there. Wouldn’t miss it.
2. Iran don’t have Hypersonic weapons. They absolutely lie about having it. The images that they show of it are a minor alteration of a very old ballistic missile that they have. I forgot the name. Yes Israel is small. But Israel can wipe out Iran in an hour. Don’t get me started to describe the nuclear arsenal of Israel . They have things that even the US don’t have. And can be deployed from submarines, by ballistic missiles, and by jet fighters. But no worries it wont come to it. We actually love the Iranians and used to be friends with them. The Israelis and media are portraying this as a failed attack and claiming that all but a few missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome and other air defense systems including US naval assets but videos on X belie these claims.
In this 30-second video clip, I counted at least 17 missiles striking the Nevatem Air Base. This is Israel’s top secret airbase where the F35s and other jets take off from. It is protected with the most advanced air defense systems and the US has its most advanced ground radar station at Nevatem. Israel will have to respond to this and very likely they will attack Iran’s oil infrastructure. If that happens we can expect Iran will disrupt the flow of all oil shipments from the Persian Gulf and the world will be plunged into massive oil shortages and with it skyrocketing gas prices like never seen before. It will be devastating for the entire world economy and we will all be paying a steep price. This isn’t good for anyone and it should never have gotten this far.

I am Israeli. No Israeli got killed. No Israeli got badly injured. You can’t hide it in Israel. It’s a small nation and is a democracy. You can’t prevent media from going to hospitals and funerals. Nevatim is huge. I served in a couple of such bases in Israel. I mean huge. 20- 30 min drive from side to side. Not all those missiles landed in the base and most of the base is empty fields. The airplanes were not hit. Also the main operations structures were not hit. Some Administrative structures and maintenance structures were hit. I bet not more than a few. It’s a confidential area so you can’t get footage. As to the response it will come. Likely oil fields. But it can be something that no one is expecting like the beeper attack was not predictable. If there is a way to take out th nuclear sites that will be done. But Biden is pushing against it probably and Israel can’t do it to 100% success because some are too deep and only the MOB of the US can handle it. Shalom.

There’s been rumored breakthroughs from research into propulsion, targeting and remote sensing in recent years. We’re obviously in the development stage for a new platform(s) with the field trials scheduled to take place for the next several weeks in Iran and Lebanon. The bunker busters dropped on Nassralla were likely a practice run. They will have to dig twice as deep to destroy Irans nuclear program. Iran unleashed their ‘Operation True Promise 2’ on Israel-
Iran sent hundreds of ballistic missiles which passed unopposed through Israel’s porous air defenses.
In truth, Iran openly admitted notifying the US—and thereby Israel—of the strikes in advance, which gave Israel forewarning to take all their F-35s to the sky, which is standard procedure for high value assets like that before any strike, regularly carried out by both Ukraine and Russia in the SMO.
There are allegedly reports that Israel did in fact take its F-35 fleet to the skies as evidenced by a fleet of refueling tankers that were airborne, which suggests the F-35s were kept aloft throughout the duration of the attack.
So, we don’t yet know if any real damage was done, but the one take away that we’re again able to make is that Iran is at least capable of penetrating all Western air defense nets. That is because the US openly announced their attempt to interdict the strikes as much as possible, in futility—as reported by the official US Naval Institute.
It doesn’t really matter in the end, because the attack as per usual is mostly theater, a kind of delicate dance between the warring parties, given that it was telegraphed in advance to notify the recipients for the purpose of de-escalating. Iranian president Pezeshkian afterwards released a statement in fact conveying that Iran had done its show of force and was now finished, insinuating to Israel that the two should accept the parley and de-escalate.
Israel, however, claimed they would respond to any attack large or small—but as per usual, Israel barks loudly while relying entirely on its American backing. Biden had recently signaled he was at the end of his rope with supporting Israeli attacks, which could mean Israel will be forced to back down from its threat of “major” response against Iran. As I said last time, Israel can only create “miraculous” victories on the backs of the entire Western world, which controls the commerce, communications, military, and every other sphere in the region, allowing Israel to wield full spectrum dominance. Without this backing, Israel would not be able to survive on its own, and would have long ceased to exist.

Yes those 12 missiles were a whole years production of the newest USN SM3 missiles. After slinging million dollar missiles in every direction in a vain attempt to open the Red Sea. There is a reason why the United States has refrained from getting involved in directly attacking Iran. There are over 40,000 US soldiers at bases in the region and probably many more on the nearly two dozen US naval vessels in the region. If the United States joins Israel in going to war against Iran tens of thousands of American soldier’s lives will be at risk as Iran rains missiles down on them!

According to reports Jordan shot down some missiles over it’s territory. Downed missiles can still fall and detonate when they strike the ground/buildings. Looking at the war in Ukraine it seems to happen very often, and to drones too.
The missiles were intercepted at altitude and broke into pieces, many of which landed well outside their intended target zones. There is no evidence of hypersonic use except by reddit basement armchair generals laughing their ass off at your gullibility.

Iran just demonstrated to Israel that it can completely neutralize the Israeli air force. If Israel attempts to launch an air strike against Iran, Iran can completely destroy all of Israel’s airfields while all of the attacking aircraft are still in the air, leaving them with nowhere to land. Iran can also strike any infrastructure in Israel with total impunity. In light of this, the Israeli government would be wise to abandon their current strategy of attempting to kill their way to peace in favor of a strategy that relies on diplomacy and a willingness to coexist with its neighbors. This almost certainly means Israel will have to accept the two-state solution and let go of the idea of annexing Gaza and the West Bank and extirpating these areas’ Palestinian inhabitants.
